Mondays at 9pm -10pm on Living TV is the programme Four Weddings. The advertising for this programme says if you like come dine with me then you'll love Four Weddings. However i have never watched Come Dine with Me so i cannot comment on this, sorry.
Four Weddings is a Ten part Series which is about Four Brides or Groom if there is a gay wedding involved who think their wedding is the best and all go head to head to win the Luxury honeymoon. Each of the weddings are judged by the other Brides/Groom and the areas which are focused on are The Dress, The Venue, The Food, Overall Presentation.
Each of the brides believe their wedding is the best and should win which range from the fairy tale cinderella weddings to a wedding in a cave and a reception at home.
The programme is full of catty comments and remarks plenty of fall outs which makes this so watchable.
We had won a 3 course Sunday Lunch at Eastwell Manor in their main Restaurant. The hotel is very grand 4 star hotel based in Ashford, Kent in luxurious grounds.
As soon as we arrived at the hotel the receptionist greeted us and showed us through to the bar before going through to the restaurant. All the staff were extremley pleasant in the bar and our orders were taken. Once we got called through to the restaurant it wasn't over crowded but there was a nice feel to it.
Our food was superb. Part of us was expecting small portions then going to get a take away once we had left, but this was certainly not the case. All courses were heaven and the main was huge. There was no way we would be going to get anything else to eat after leaving or for a good few hours afterwards. We certainly recommend the Sunday Lunch!!!
It was a very miserable day when we went so we didn't get to walk around the gardens but they looked so perfect, nothing was out of place. We sat in the lounge and had our coffee and waited for our food to go down and the log fire was roaring away and the smell was so welcoming!
McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Ashford.
There are many mixed opinions of the Ashford Designer Outlet, so i will give you my verdict on the place. When the outlet first opened it was a big thing for Ashford and it created many jobs and many visitors to the area and it still does. I would say it was not the best design as the food court is very cold in the winter not what you want while you are eating, however they have now put up heaters which help a bit. Although the outlet looks under cover with its tent look, its not. The shops all have their own units but the walk way is like a wind tunnel and you will certainly need your coat if it is raining as you will get wet.
The shops to me are not what i call DESIGNER shops, there are a couple like ralph lauren, tommy hilfiger, toshiba, Bose there are a few sports clothing shops and home sort of shops. Personally i'm not to keen on the place. Don't get me wrong its a great place if you know what you want and can save yourself some cash, but not all the products have 30% off high street prices as i have found out on a few occasions. So just be careful.
In this current climate it is hard to treat yourself to a nice meal out, but at Toby Carvery you can have a large filling meal for as little as £5. Yes you heard right a Carvery (eat as much as you can, during the week as long as your are seated before 7pm will be £5. As well as the Carvery they also do alternatives to suit everyone.
Toby Carvery base their food on Great British Cooking. At the heart of their food menu is Toby's Famous carvery which includes three different freshly roasted joints plus a great choice of eight freshly steamed and roasted seasonal vegetables with more carvery choice on Sunday and every evening.
If you dine after 7pm monday -sat they have a special evening carvery which includes the usual 3 joints of meat and fresh veggies and their specials which include curry night, oriental night, beef night, lamb night to name a few.
We went along to Toby Carvery on a Sunday Lunchtime, and i must say Wow what a choice! As we were taken through to our table the smell was devine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We went upto the carvey and was welcome by a chef who was serving Roast Pork with Crackling, Turkey, Honey glazed Gammon and Beef with Yorkshire Puds. There was stuffing balls, carrots, leeks, new potatoes, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, broccoli and peas. On another table was gravy beef, poultry and veggie and all the sauces you can think of to go with everything on your plate.
We loved every piece of our meal and it only cost us £8.50 each being a sunday lunchtime. At the start of the meal we all said i'm going to get more of this when i go back in a min but none of us had anymore room.
Great Value meal out! Recommended!!!!!
My mum got us a Virgin Experience for AirKix for Christmas as she like to get us doing different things and we all thought what a great pressie. Although the AirKix site was over 2hours away we thought what a great opportunity to have a weekend away.
We were all very excited about doing the skyydive that i went onto their website http://www.airkix.com/ to find out more about it and what they do. Our tickets were for the Kix Start which is an introduction to sky diving which included a classroom talk, all you kit ( Jumpsuit, goggles and helmet) 2 1 minute flying sessions and a dvd of the class of all of our flights. This was great value as the DVD's were being charged after the sessions for £14.99.
There are a number of different levels for airfix to suit everyone. The more experience you get the more they teach you and the more time you can book.
The actual flight was amazing although it was much harder than it looked! You had a 1 minute flight which felt like 10 minutes. The feeling was really strange and the wind was really powerful. When the second flight came round the instructor took you up higher (iwasn't looking forward to this as he was spinning people around aswell which i didn't like the look of. However when it came to my turn it was great! I loved every minute of it and would definatley come back again to have a more advanced go!
We were booked to go to Xscape at Milton Keynes as part of a Christmas Pressie from my mum and as it was over a 2 hour journey we decided to make a weekend of it. I had a look on the Xscape Website and saw the SnoZone and though this looked FAB.
There are various different things you can do on the Sno slope for all different capabilities and prices. There really is something for everyone! You can have Ski and snowboarding lessons, Hourly slope passes for experienced snowboarders and skiers, Tobogganing and Ice Slide.
Unfortuately we were unable to get any lessons so we booked for the Ice Slide which was £14 for 30minutes.
Once we got there we saw the slope and thought wow thats long. However we saw the ice slide which was a fraction of the slope and thought we have paid £14 for this. We didn't think it would be much fun. We were SO WRONG!!! Once we were all kitted out with thick jumpers, gloves and helmets on we were taken out onto the slope and my god it is SO cold. We were each given a rubber ring and had to hike up the slope and it is steep!! It was such a laugh coming down the slope although it wasn't too high, it was high enough to get a speed on. We could not stop laughing. After about 5-6 times walking up the slope we had to give in our legs were like jelly and we were frozen.
WE took ourselves back into the Sno Bar and had a lovely Hot Chocolate and watched the rest from the viewing area. I certainly recommend taking warm water proof clothing even if it is 25 degrees out side.
Travelodge Milton Keynes Central. Having booked an activity day at Xscape in Milton Keynes we wanted to make sure we had done everything we wanted to do before going home. The best solultion was stay over night, that way we could have a few drinkies and enjoy the evening before heading home the next day. I looked at the Travelodge Milton Keynes Central and it looked in a perfect location, 1.5 miles from the Xscape but far enough away from the hustle and bustle.
The price was even better as they had a special offer on at the time of booking so we got a room for £35 for the 3 of us which was great. This saved us from having a 3hour journey home feeling tired at the end of the day esp after being up since 5.30am.
We arrived at the hotel at 3pm which was the check in time, i handed over my booking confirmation. (I must say the receptionist wasn't the most helpful of people and came across quite rude.) She finally gave us our key and we headed off towards our room on the ground floor. The corridor was very narrow and the housekeeping had their large trolleys dotted all the way down the corridor, it just didn't look very nice.
Our room was actually very nice, comfy bed and comfy sofa. There was a flat screen TV in the room and tea and coffee making facilities and the bathroom was basic but clean. However there was no telephone but did not bother us. For what we wanted the room for it was perfect for the one night.
We came back to our room at approx 9.30pm, we were very tired but had had a fun filled day. WE chilled out in the room watching tv before heading to bed around 11pm. There was some noise from other guests staying who were getting ready but we thought it would quiet down after they had gone out, which it did. However another group had checked in and constantly all night bar an hour or so there was shouting, banging, slamming of doors and running up and down the corridors. This is not what we needed after a long day. Not once did a member of staff ask them to be quiet or to stop this. We were very unhappy as we would not of been the only people that was disturbed by this all night.
When we left there was no one at the desk for us to air our dissapointment so we just left our key and headed home very tired.
It was a great shame that we had all this noise as we felt the hotel room was perfect and if we had a good night sleep would of been perfect.
I would recommend the hotel but maybe not on a saturday night.
I was weary when i first heard of glassesdirect.co.uk as probably like most people asked how can glasses be so cheap. A colleague had purchased a pair and she was happy with them although she only got them for fun and i needed to wear my glasses all day every day so i need a good pair.
After a long debate i thought what the hell the pair i chose were only £19 so i thought if they are wrong its only £19 not hundreds which i would of paid in high street shops. The website was very easy to use and i checked out as much info as i could. They are approved by Registered Opticians, they offer a 10 day home trial service of upto 4 pairs of glasses for £5 and send back by freepost and you get that £5 of if you then go ahead to order. 30day no quibble money back guarantee which i thought was great as they are made to your prescription i didn't think it would be possible. They also deliver between 10-14 days which was great.
I went through the relevant pages of the website to make my purchase, the website is really easy to use and if you have done anything wrong they will pick it up the other end and and contact you if they think something is not quite right.
All in all my glasses arrived 13 days after i made my ordered they came in a glasses case with a brochure, a handbag mirror and a cloth. The service was great and i am already thinking of which other pair to buy. The glasses are made of a high quality and the len's are perfect.
If you are thinking about buying glasses from glassesdirect.co.uk go ahead and do it. You won't be dissapointed.
Johnson's Dreamy Skin Extracare Bubble Bath for me i love this range! I first tried this product when it first came out and it was on special offer. I had a quick sniff from the bottle and thought the smell was gorgeous. It's quite a mouth watering, sweet sensual smell which i could see myself relaxing to in a nice hot bath.
Later that evening i ran a nice hot bath poured a little in and let the bubbles appear. The smell of the bubble bath was really lovely so calming but not too over powering. After my bath my skin felt so soft even my partner commented on how soft my skin was. The smell of my bath stayed with me for a while to.
The info which is given on the bottle by Johnsons about the product is:
Sleeptime is the ideal time for the body to unwind and renew. Taking a warm bath with Johnson's Dreamy Skin Extracare Bath is clinically proven to help you drift off to sleep better. This rich, velvety soft regenerative formula with nourishing vitamins helps skin's renewal while you sleep.
All in all i recommend this product for a lovely relaxing bath soak to help you unwind and helps make you have soft skin as a bonus.
I have never sold anything on ebay but i have been known to being addicted to buying of off ebay. I can honestly say i have not had too many problems with purchasing off of here but i understand some people do. I must be lucky i guess.
I love the last moments when the bidding is coming to a close on the item you really want and you are waiting on tender hooks to see if the bidding is going to go up. The feeling that you have won is great over something so silly. And you come away happy with a purchase you wanted usually at a very cheap price or a product that you haven't been able to get hold of as it has stopped being made. Either way you are a happy bunny. Unless you lose of course.
There are also products on there which have a Buy It Now option on it which is great if it is a the right price. I also check the postage rates if you are buying as i find alot of people boost up the postage to they make a extra bob.
My sister got me ps i love you for me after i had had an operation as she knew i would get bored of 2 weeks being stuck in the house. I don't really read many books, i flick through magazines and read the papers but i usually lose interest before i get half way through any book. My sister assured me this book was great and i would be hooked. So i gave it a go knowing i couldn't do or go anywhere for 2 weeks.
Well ps i love you has got me back to reading books again, it was fantastic!! If you like comedy in your books and are a romantic you will love this book. It is quite a heart wrenching story as Gerry, Holly's husband knows he is dying and he leaves 10 letters for holly to read after he has died to help her get through these difficult times. But through these letters he makes her go and do things with her friends which makes this an excellent story. It had me crying my eyes out one minute then laugh so hard the next.
Totally recommend it!! But read this before you see the film as i feel the book is much better story line than the movie.
I brought 2 tickets for my boyfriend for his christmas present as his parents got us tickets to see Grease last year and he was ill and couldn't make it. So as he had never seen a show before i thought what better than to get him tickets to see a show i know he will love. He is a big Queen fan and loves all of their songs. I didn't have a clue what the story line was in the show so we really didn't know what to expect. I spoke to a few people who had seen we will rock you and they all said it is amazing he will love it, so i was ever hopeful. We arrived at the Dominion theatre that evening and outside was a huge statue of freddie mercury with bright lights. Looked great. We were in row G so were really close to stage. From the moment the the lights went out and the music begun we were both blown away i just wanted to get up and dance the night away. The story line was very funny and the songs just seemed to fit in with the story. The actors and muscian were amazing totally recommend seeing it whether your a fan or not. We are planning on going back to seeing it again before the year is out. What more can i say other than FANTASTIC!!!!
I booked this hotel for a weekend away with my boyfriend for his birthday as i had booked him tickets to see We will rock you. Also we had just got engaged so it made it a very special weekend for us. So we decided to make a weekend of it. We booked online through hilton's website with a special offer and booked a double room. Email confirmation came through and all was ok.
Once we got to the hotel which was in easy access to everything, we walked everywhere through are weekend. Having said that the Edgware road which the hotel is situated in is not very pleasant to walk down in the dark.
Once we got to the hotel we were told that there was no double rooms left and we had a twin room. I was not happy with this and explained i had booked this on their website months in advance as it was a special occasion and would not be happy in a twin room. The girl went and spoke to her manager and came back and offered us a deluxe disabled double room. Which we accepted and was happy with this. Then the manager came over again and said as it was a special weekend he would up grade us to their Suite free of charge. Ofcourse we were over the moon and the room was fabulous!!! We could not fault the staff they really pulled out the stops for us. And we highly recommend it.
mmmmmm is all i can say about these little beauties!! I am cureently trying to lose weight before my wedding and have previously tried the weight watchers chocolate products and they were foul, they looked ok but tasted of cardboard and really not very pleasant at all. However Weight watchers must have done some more research because these mini chocolate cup cakes are TOTALLY TO DIE FOR!! If you are a chocoholic and trying to lose weight you will be more than happy with these! You get 9 cup cakes in a box and the chocolate sponge is really soft then there is a nice thick layer of belguim chocolate on top which really is scrummy. I buy them as my little treat once a fortnight and i have trouble keeping my other half away from them usually find a few missing when i go to get one. They are 1.5 points on the weight watchers plan and they cost around £1.70. They are a must if you love chocolate!!!!
Wii Fit is great fun! Totally recommend it! I purchased the wii fit as i couldn't afford to go to the gym every week and keep fit classes. So far i am doing it every night even if it is 30 mins or so it's better than none and i am getting very competative with myself trying to beat my personal best every time. Its not just about the fitness side of things though, it is such a laugh when playing against friends seeing who has good or really bad balance. The games on the fit are good and the more you play on it, the more games it unlocks for you. This way you don't get too bored of playing the same games over and over. There is also a daily test which monitors your bmi and your weight and you wii fit age. Very useful and highly recommend this product!! Good luck and have FUN!!!!
