good family laptop, but not for gamers

Right, so the Toshiba satellite c660-16R laptop is a well designed product in my opinion. It comes with a 2.2GHZ processor, 2GB RAM,a whopping 640GB HDD and a beautifully crisp 15.6″ Hd Screen. Some of the features this laptop lack in though are the Web camera and Mic. Okay it has them, but they aren't very responsive at all. The mic struggles to pick up my voice (i wonder sometimes if Toshiba actually forgot to put it in there) and the camera looks like something built back in the stone age! it judders from time to time and it always seems like its 2AM due to the darkness! But these can easily be sorted out because the Toshiba features 2 USB ports so you could quite easily plug in your own web cam and microphone (its like Toshiba knew) it also has a Micro SD slot, an Ethernet port (for you wired users) and an in and out stereo port which comes in handy if you love your music. It comes with windows 7 installed on it for you and a trial from Mcafee. The designing of the case is beautiful. Its light, Pleasing to the eyes and has a carbon-fibre finish. the keyboard is nice to type on as well, in fact I'm typing this very review on this laptop now and i love it. It also comes with a DVD/RW drive which impresses me every time when i want to burn music, videos and anything else. The battery life is quite impressive also, I can get around 6-8 hours on it from full charge (but that's only if you treat your battery well and don't charge when unnecessary). My opinion of this product is that it is perfect for me as i don't run any strenuous programs on it, so if you're looking for an every day laptop then in my opinion look no further, but if you're looking for something that would run the newest games or stream videos perfectly then i suggest you look for a more powerful laptop because the processor just simply cant handle it. If you are looking to purchase this Laptop then i have added a link for you Below! Thank you for reading i hope you enjoyed it! Written by Mark Hinchcliffe Gadgetgoliath.com

very very good, a benchmark for technology

I mean Come on look at the Name. Transformer Prime! WOW, it has to be cool with that kind of name. in fact im thinking of naming my children that (when i have them ofcourse). and it looks as cool as it sounds aswell. This is just one of the many products that i am excited about trying this year. Mainly because of the name haha, but seriously because it is a tablet with a detachable Keyboard. so basically a LapLet then? (<=== Copyrighted haha) This LapLet Features: 12.1″ touch screen 1.3GHZ Processor 1GB Ram Android 2.3 OS (so its a Smartphone aswell? well there goes my name out the window!) and up to 18 Hours of battery life So, I think that this SmartLapLet ( see what i did there?) is one of the gadgets that is going to be setting the bench marks of technology to come simply because of the technical features it has and the Name of course! I would rate this: Looks: 5/5 Capabilities: 5/5 Practicalities: 4/5 Overall: 4.5/5 I gave the practicalities a 4/5 because if you detach the keyboard when your out you are stuck lugging around a keyboard! i think maybe a slide out keyboard would have been more practical but hey, im not a designer! If you would like to purchase the ASUS EeePad Transformer Prime (so cool) then i have added a link for you below. Thank you for reading i hope you enjoyed it. Advantages

        Disadvantages

        utter brilliance

A glance at the PS Vita's specifications and software line-up will have most tech and game heads salivating at the prospect of playing handheld games PS Vita-style: a quad-core processor, an OLED screen, super-quick graphics, all the controls you could wish for... and games like Uncharted, WipEout, FIFA and Call Of Duty either out at launch or coming soon. I am personally looking forward to this just mainly for the fact that it has dual analog sticks and 3G support. But it also features a capacitive touch screen that's as good as anything else on the market, GPS, a back touch pad, front and back cameras for AR, Sixaxis control (that actually makes sense in this portable guise) and - thankfully - a second analogue stick. PS Vita does have its weaknesses though! it is running an app based OS so instead of a simple drag and drop interface, all content management is done through the PS Vita and its Content Management app. If you want to transfer some photos, for example, you select the option and this then opens the Photo app. From here you select your photos, hit the transfer button and it's done. Now, say, you want to transfer some videos. You have to exit the Photo app, go back into the Content Management app, select the video transfer option, this then opens the Video app and so on. It's all very fiddly. And it gets worse. Say you've taken a screenshot of something cool in a game and want to share it with your friends. You click the options on the photo and hit the Group Messaging option. This then opens up the Group Messaging app (yes, laboured) and you (probably want to) select the Twitter or Facebook or even email option. Well, you can't because there's no social networking integration in the PS Vita software. The only option you have is to send your image to PlayStation IDs. Advantages

        Disadvantages

brilliant for everything, i highly recommend

I am gonna say that this isnt just an ipod touch with calling and SMS function it is much more than that! This is much, much more powerful than any other phone on the market, it has a 3.5″ touch screen. an 8 Mega pixel camera, face detection, video stabilisation, Three-Axis gyro sensor and is capable of running apple tv. The looks are quite dull in my honest opinion, as you know by now i think square shapes are boring and well ... the Iphone 4S is squared. I think maybe a few more curves here and there would make this product perfect in every single way. But i cant knock a product on just what it looks like because frankly it is a brilliant mobile phone and SIRI is absolutely incredible. You can ask him to send an E-mail to a specific person and he will get it right word for word. This is because SIRI is run through apples servers and computers to understand the Phrases properly. Overall i would say that this is the best mobile phone on the market hands down (but i still want my blackberry back!) and the only bad point thats i can think of is the squared look and that the battery doesnt last very long ( but you can sort this out by disabling a few apps) If you would like to purchase the Iphone 4S then i have added links for you below. Thank you for reading i hope you enjoyed it. Written by Mark Hinchcliffe Gadgetgoliath.com
