When I moved out my dad bought me a contract phone- I thought, brilliant, I fancy a smartphone! After much debate, I ended up with this- it's lightweight, fits snug in your pocket and relatively easy to get to grips with.
It runs on Android but not the most up to date version- this is only 2.1. The apps download quickly but not all of them are compatible with the Galaxy and you can forget watching videos like the other Androids! The memory is a pitiful 130MB so you can expect to buy an SD card for it- the memory card goes under the back cover, which- whilst it keeps the card out of the way- can be difficult to remove.
The phone is touchscreen and can be flipped on its side for a bigger keypad, switched to QWERTY and also has 'Swype' which is a great feature- you can spell out the word instead of individually typing each letter. Whilst it isn't always exact it does come in handy!
However the phone has its downfalls. It freezes frequently. Turns itself off. Gets really hot without any use. Not to mention the battery is awful! All in all, don't buy it- there are MUCH better phones out there for the same price on pay as you go or contract.
As a student I am on a budget- but my skin will never compromise! These wipes are really great and so cheap at less than £1 for 25! They aren't too moist and they aren't at all dry so it's the best balance.
No make up wipe will get rid of EVERY trace of make up but these are just as good as any other wipe! I'm not too sure on the promise of ''deep cleansing'' they just seem to get rid of make up or can be used just to freshen up the face. Even better when combined with a product afterwards to make your skin squeaky clean!
The packaging has a nice blue theme and the tab to open the packet is always sticky- so no going to get one and finding it open and all the wipes dry! Sometimes the wipes get a little stuck together and you get a bunch instead of one but they can easily be put back in- They are just as good as any other product out there and highly recommended whether or not you are on a budget.
I am fairly open minded when it comes to products especially ones that claim will help my skin- as a teenager, I suffer from acne. I was very disappointed with this as it did NOTHING!
The bottle is white so you can't really see how much is left unless you hold it to the light. The 'lotion' is essentially water! in fact, it may be!
The instructions on the label say to apply to a cotton bud and dab onto the face- the instructions are easy to follow. It can also be used as a toner... which also doesn't work. The smell is just like the smell of Tesco's nail polish remover which isn't so pleasant to think about when you're applying to your face!
My skin is not hard to clear- it's just that some products work and others don't. If you have less troublesome skin it may be fine for you, but not if you suffer from regular breakouts or acne like me- then you would be better off trying another product!
Where would we be without music? The iPod is a great MP4 player from the monopoly that is Apple. I am not an Apple fan but the iPod is a classic device that is trusted, loved and well-worth the money.
My previous MP3 and MP4 players have lasted only a few months but this has been indestructible! I've dropped it, frozen it, spilt sun protection lotion on it and it's STILL here!! No other device would have lasted through the abuse my beloved iPod receives.
The 4GB memory is perfect, not too much and not too little. It holds so many songs and compatible with iTunes so you can easily Sync it. The iTunes store is a little expensive but there are other ways of getting songs and videos (legally!!), but only a few forms of videos can be put onto the iPod.
Oh- and the iPod Quiz game is so addictive, if you ever get bored of your music! I'd be lost without this lovely little invention, I highly recommend it!
I am a big fan of this little gem! I have had it for around six months and use it regularly, and it's still half full!
I bought the Black Pearl/Rainbow mascara which is double ended. The gel side is clear and the mascara is in a black casing with subtle sparkles- a nice touch. The mascara is fairly good but can be clumpy. Apart from that it gives great volume! The gel is only subtle but I use it over black eyeliner and makes it look really nice and I always get compliments. It's also handy on a night out for any touch ups, and it saves bringing mascara AND a liner.
This wont be a life savor product. By far, there are better products out there- but for a budget this will do just fine and you can't complain! Just keep tissues nearby in case the mascara clumps!
I am not often impressed with Primark- especially the make up range! However I was pleasantly surprised when my sister bought home some gorgeous shades from the nail laquer range to try out- very bold blues, pinks, purples and yellows- which are very on trend.
When used with a top coat and base coat the varnishes last about a week- sometimes more, depending on how much you use your nails for! The varnish is lovely and thick and two coats is plenty for some real stand-out nails. They can smudge easily so they need to be well-dried first but at £1.50 can you really complain?!
The bottles are 10ml and a chunky, rectangular shape with a black screw on top. They last quite a while and are actually really good. As a fan of lovely nails, I have tried a lot of varnishes and this is one of the best brands- perfect for girls on a budget who love their colours!!
As a poor student but with slight OCD, I had to buy a hoover- seeing this I thought, bargain, less than £30!! Oh how wrong I was.
The vacuuming power is dreadful and barely picks up even on a high setting. The attachments do not make any difference and you essentially have to get on your hands and knees and use your elbow grease for the hoover to pick up even the most littlest of bits on the floor. The attachment for the floor was the worst and even on the highest power setting did not pick up ANYTHING.
Emptying the hoover was also hard and sometimes you pick it up and suddenly everything comes out! Then you have to painstakingly get everything back inside which can take ages and never really picks up everything.
Oh, and if that wasn't enough- it broke after just two months! It wasn't even used a lot because it's just so poxy and pathetic!! Much better in the long run to get a more expensive hoover that will actually WORK and not break!!
I have this toaster in the 2 slice version and honestly I love it! It is a great toaster and very pretty- perfect for little children as it's easy to use and also perfect for adults as this is adorable and makes you want breakfast! There will never be an excuse to skip breakfast again!
The toaster also toasts bagels (but you wont get the face on it) and has a removable crumb tray so it is easy to clean, and the front can be wiped clean without taking the paint off. The only downside is you have to put it on a high setting in order to get the imprint- which isn't so good for me because I like my toast barely toasted. However this is also the only toaster I've found that toasts my bread PERFECTLY and just how I like it.
Anyone would love this toaster who is a fan of quite possibly the world's most famous cat. It encourages children and adults alike to have breakfast and will bring a smile to their face!
I love Montagne Jeunesse- the products are cheap and usually lovely. For 99p you get what you pay for- a bit of cloth over your face with little aloe vera to ''de-stress you''.
The product is only on for five minutes. Hardly time to de-stress! In that respect however it is good for people with busy lives but you wont feel any less stressed...
This face tonic is different to other Montagne Jeunesse face masks because it is pre-applied to white cloth. Therefore there is no mess, you just pop out the mouth piece (why would you need a mouth piece anyway?!) and put it on. The aloe vera is meant to calm your skin but it doesn't really do anything except make you look like you've seen a ghost.
I much prefer the other products that stay on longer but these will never make you feel totally de-stressed or clear your skin no matter what they promise to do! Very good for sensitive skin and other products that are tailored to your skin type- this tonic however does nothing.
As a fan of Benefit cosmetics (and how couldn't you be? The packaging and clever slogans are enough for anyone!) as well as having ridiculously huge pores, I thought this was perfect for me.
The packaging is very eye catching- a nice green shade with instructions and a booklet included. The tube is small (22ml) but you only need a little amount therefore will last a long time- you definitely get your money's worth! At around £23.50 you expect the product to be an absolutely amazing miracle worker. However I found The Porefessional to be rather disappointing- there was no difference in the size of my pores, even the little ones! The only difference between this and other products is this very lightweight and oil free- whereas with other products you get that attractive shine half way through the way, The Porefessional is not at all noticeable.
I do not feel this product is worth buying. Unless you have really small pores- and by small I mean not-at-all-noticeable. Save your money, you'll only be disappointed.
