Belvita Breakfast Biscuits. Ive decided to try and eat a bit more healthier lately. I spotted these Breakfast Biscuits, in Tescos recently, so decided to give them a try. What first attracted me to them, was the brightly coloured box and as it was yellow and bright and fresh looking, I decided to buy a box costing me £2.28pence, inside the easy to open carboard box, I found six packets containing four of these biscuits. They come in a variety of flavours, Milk and Cereal. Crunchy Oats. Honey and nut. Fruit andFibre. I purchased the honey and nut flavour, which I really enjoyed. They were crisp and crunchy, with little chips of chocolate in and they were very sweet and filling too.As I usually have a cuppa mid morning, with a few sweet biscuits I decided to give these a try as im not really one to get up and have breakfast straightaway, I like to have been up for a while first, do a few jobs then have a cuppa, and as it tells you that these biscuits are slow releasing of energy, for up to four hours, I thought they would suit me fine. These Biscuits are not very thick, but I did like the taste and I have only tried the Honey and Nut variety, as yet, but will like to try the othervarieties to seewhat my opinion of them is. These Biscuits are most suitablefor vegetarians. They contain no artificial flavouring. They contain no artificial Preservatives. 2.1grams of fat. 0.4grams of fibre. 0.6grams of Saturates. 0.05grams of sodium. 1 gram of Protein. They are fortified with forty per cent wholegrain. They contain vitamins too. Each Biscuit contains 58 Calories. I feel that a few of these as a snack of in between meal alternative work well. I will be buying these again. I have recently joined a Salsa Keep Fit programne, but obviously changing my eating habits too will also help me with the sheding of a few pounds. I have decided to swop the calories of sugar with some sweeteners and that will obviously help too. Canderel was recommended by a friend of mine to use as it was the best one she could recommend as to being able to taste ok, and not have that horrible after taste that so many artificial sweeteners have. I brought a container of these sweeteners, and the little container has a press button across thye bottom of the unit you simply push it in and then one sweetener pops out, so you can pop it into the palm of your hand or you can pop it into the cuppa straight away, so no fuss and no mess. The container full contained 100 tablets, and it cost me a £1.00, you can also obtain larger containers full in sizes of 300, but as I was just giving them a try I opted for the smaller one to see whether I actually liked them or not, which I did. I found that the container was handy too, so you could pop it into your handbag if you so wished. The really good thing I loved about these sweeteners was the fact that there was no aftertaste and also the fact that there were no calories in these. Thanks for reading and rating my reviews.
I must confess to being great fan of anything chocolately. I love anything made by Cadburys, so these are no exception to that rule. I recently spotted these Hot Chocolate Puddings whilst in Tescos Supermarket. They come in a thin carboard outter wrapping, and contain inside two little plastic containers filled full of Chocolate Spongey Pudding with a dreamy chocolately sauce at the bottom of each one. Simply pop these into the microwave for approximately 50-60 seconds, and you have an instant desert, which not only tastes great but they also look great too, simply turn the pots upside down onto a plate and the puddings pop or slide out, and the smell whilst you are cooking these, is dreamy of chocolate. The sauce is rather like a hot chocolate bar that has been melted down and tastes great in conjuction with the spongey texture of the chocolate pudding. They contain 400 cals per pudding, but whose counting. These are suitable for vegetarians. Ingredients are : modified maize, vegtable oil, milk chocolate, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, wheat starch, milk proteins whipped cream, golden syrup. Containing 120 grams, these are just enough to eat, but as im greedy i ate the two, they are really such a treat, and being made by Cadburys they taste of good quality chocolate and the sauce which compliments the spongey pudding, really blend well together. I love these and would definitely recommend them to you to try Thanks for reading and rating my reviews.
Well ive been trying to save a few pennies as having had to spend a bit of money when my Father sadly passed away in January, I tend to buy the value items in Tescos as they are not bad in quality and tend to be a lot cheaper than the branded items. I do a lot of home baking so find that I tend to use a lot of this Foil. I use this for a variety of items, keeping cheese fresh, and other items that need to be wrapped. I use this foil to line the bottom of my oven and it helps to collect the drips of oil, fat etc that may spill off from the roasting tin, and as it is a bit cheaper I find that when it does get too dirty you can simply screw it up and pop it into the bin. I also use this foil for steaming items in the oven in, it works very well for that. A 25 m roll costs just under a £1.00 and you get a lot on the role. It might be slightly thinner than the more expensive foil, but I find that it works just as well, and you do get quite a lot on the roll, so it does save you in the long run. You can usually find this product on the bottom shelve of Tescos as they tend to put the lower priced items on the bottom shelve as it makes it easy to reconise where the cheaper products are stored. I feel that this is good quality for the price you pay for it and I am happy to recommend this product to you to try. Thanks for reading and rating my reviews.
I received a box of these mints for Christmas off an old friend and they have been sitting in the cupboard for a few months until today when I was having a clearout and came across them. They come in a stylish box and have a green background with the words Elizabeth Shaws written clearly on them. Inside the box which was easy to open I discovered individual mints which are also individually wrapped, singlely. The Chocolates are Dark Chocolate and have a rather gooey textured centre inside which I absolutely love, they are mint fondant and are just that little bit different. I would say that they make a difference to the usual Chocolates that I have tried before, but I must also say that if you over indulge in them they are a bit sickly to be fair. I have found these to be not too fattening with there only being 30 Calories per Chocolate and that makes a nice change for any sort of Chocolate to be low in calories. The Box I find does tend to look a little bit stylish and they are ones that I did receive in a resturant with a cup of coffee, I had recently. I do like these and I think they would make a suitable present for anyone. They contain Protein at 0.3grams. Carbs at 3.7gs. Fat at 1.6gs. Fibre at 0.3grams. ALLERGY ADVICE. May contain traces of nuts. Eggs. Milk and Gluten. Thanks for reading and rating my reviews.
Paul mitchell Hair Drier Express. I have fairly long hair and it takes ages to dry if I leave it to dry naturally. I have tried other hairdriers and have recently decided to treat myself to this one, as I had recently read a review on this particular hair drier I had decided as I had some money left over from Christmas that I would buy this particular one. I find that this dryer is very elegant and stilish in looks, and the performance is well good. It is very powerful. I ordered mine from on line direct, it came in a large carboard box, which looks very stilish. Inside it has a manuel that shows you how to not only operate this drier, but also how to use it and work the multi function button which allows for several speed settings. I liked the way you can control the heat settings on this drier, at a flick of a switch from low slow drying, to fast furious hot blasts of air. It dries my hair in no time at all. I also find that this hairdrier is great if you use a brush to style your hair too, say if you wanted to style it so it turns under, or if you wanted it to turn up, as the flow and speed of this hairdrier is so good I dont ever have a problem using it to make my hair look hollywood style for any occassion, I love this hairdrier it is fantastic. What I also love about it is the long cord that it has, it is great to be able to plug into my limited plug sockets in and around my house, and streach it to reach anywhere where there is a mirror available in my house. I also love the fact that my old hairdrier used to be so heavy, that drying my hair became a real chore. and with this Paul Mitchell's hair drier it is so lightweight that it makes the job of drying your hair so easy, I am unfortunate in the fact that I suffer from painfull joints, and holding anything too heavy would be a real task, with this one it is great. What I also love about this hairdrier is the fact that it has a nozzle which helps to spread the heat directly onto your hair to the places where you most want it to arrive at. This drier is 2000 watts, so it is a fairly heafty powerful drier, and makes light work of even the longest of hair, mine in particular. The price for this is currently £44.50pence and I would certainly recommend this to all of you, because of not only the great drier you receive for a great price, but also performance wise it is really second to none. This hairdrier has ionic technology, it helps your hair by maintaining condition and shine, it acheives this by simply diffusing water molecules into micro fine particles. It has three heat settings, two speed settings, and a cool shot. The drier I think looks really great, it is black and shines, it has red writing across the centre stating that it is made by Paul Mitchell, it also has a red button on the shaft of the drier in red which is the button you use to work the speed settings with. I absolutely love this drier, it is so good and I feel that it is a great price for a product that works so well. I would rate this five stars as I feel that this drier is well worth the money and has cut my drying time in less than half compared with the heavy bulky drier that I used to own. Tescos Pickled Beetroot. Ive recently been reading that Beetroot is good for reducing high blood pressure, dont know if its true or not but I do enjoy eating it anyway. Ive been buying this Tescos Beetroot, as I like the flavour and the fact that it is pickled for you, so its easy to just open it and use straight away. I do find the lids hard to open so i get a knife like a dinner knife one i wont cut myself with and pop the end of it into the rim of the lid release the air and then the lid opens easily. This is suitable for Vegeterians. Once opened can keep for six weeks in the fridge but use by the use by date. The Jar is see through, and has a twist on/off lid. The label is coloured purple and has a picture of a fork with a few slices of Beetroot on it. The Texture of the Beetroot is not too hard, but also it isnt so soft that it falls from your fork. The jar is full to the brim and contains an assortment of different sized pieces, there are large slices about two inches, and they can vary down to the smallest slices of a cm. This is pickled so ready for use. I have mine on the side of a plate with sasages, fishfingers, or ham egg and chips. It is also great to add to a sandwich. I like to have some on the side of a plate or add to a salad. This costs 48pence for a jar of 340 grams. and is full to the brim. I love the quality of the slices of beetroot and they are crunchy and thick. The slices vary in sizes and thickness. This contains about 10 calories per 1percent. Ingredients are Beetroot, Water, Salt, acetic acid and spirit vinegar. The jar is recyclable. I love the freshness of the taste of this Beetroot and the quality is great. This is produced in the UK for Tescos. I would recommend this one. Although not the most expensive of Beetrots on the market, I particularly enjoy the taste, as the Vinegar is sweet in taste, it makes for a pleasant taste. The Beetroot is always fresh tasting, and is crunchy when you bite into it. Thanks for reading and rating my review.
Argos Mixer. I do a lot of baking and cooking, as I have a large family and actually enjoy cooking homemade products, cakes, pies, puddings, quiches and loads besides. I used to find that mixing takes a lot of the time in cooking preparation and this can lead to hard work. I had already purchased two of the mixers before, for each of my daughters at Christmas time, and they had both said that they use them quite often, for beating together yorkshire puddings etc. I had decided to go ahead and treat myself to one because I spend such a lot of time in the kitchen and this will definitely make my life a bit easier. The mixer itself performs very well, it is good for beating together cooking ingredients for cakes etc, and I use it for whisking, eggs and cream and it does a really good job. The mixer comes in a carboard box and you do get instructions on how to use it and also on how to keep it clean. The unit itself is very easy to wipe over with a damp cloth, the beaters detach from the body of this unit, at the press of a button and it is easy to wash the stainless steel beaters in hot soapy water, or if you wish you pop them into the dish washer, i havnt noticed any signs of rust after repeatly washing mine in the sink. The cost at this time is £5.95p and I find for a basic mixer this one works really well. Obviously it wouldnt work well on a massive bowl of really stodgy mix, so you would have to add the ingredients and beat it up gradually. Ive been really pleased with the results this mixer has given me, in endless time saving sessions in my kitchen, I do love to cook the grandchildrens cakes for their birthday parties, and just as a treat. I find I save money doing home baking, so would recommend this mixer, as it is cheap and effective. The motor is 150 watts, and this is ample powerfull enough for most mixing of cooking ingredients. Im really suprised for the price just how well this works. I also dont find this too heavy, so thats a bonus too. I would say that this is a good piece of equipment to have in the kitchen, it saves time and is easy to clean, and small enough to store in one of your kitchen carboards. I would recommend this product to you to try, for less than a tenna it is a well useful piece of equipment to have. Thanks for reading and rating my reviews.
We get through so many biscuits in my house, as im always being visited by my grandchildren so my biscuit box is always being topped up, and they know exactly where it is kept and make a bee line towards the cupboard when they get here. Ive started buying these value biscuits from Tescos as they are 25pence per packet and you do get a lot of biscuits for your money per pack which weighs in at 300 grams. They are low in calories, 35 per biscuit and you tend to eat a few each time. They are crisp and crumbly when you bite them, I find them a bit dry on their own, but are great dipped into a cup of tea. My grandaughter likes her spread with butter and jam, naughty but nice. I buy on average six packets a week as they disapear so quickly, I have given up buying the more expensive ones as the children enjoy these, i dont get any complaints so its helps me as I dont mind how many they eat. They contain fibre 0.2g a trace of sodium, protein 0.6g, carbohydrate5.6g, fat 1.2g, and sugars 1.5grams. These are beige coloured biscuits with rich tea biscuits written on them, they have a few small hole perferations across the top, are plain underneath, are sweet to taste, and crispy and crumbly. If you dunk them in their tea they take on a whole different texture, soft and fall into your mouth, dont dunk them for too long as you find they break off and you have a big lump of biscuit floating around in your tea, which im sure we have all done at some point. These biscuits are also suitable for vegans, and as another member just informed me suitable for people with milk allergies. I would recommend them if you are looking for a cheap biscuit that you dont mind not having chocolate on, then these will be great for you. Ingredients : Malt, Barley, Salt, Glucose syrup, Wheat flour. sugar and vegtable oil, raising agents. I love these and so do my grandchildren, and they are cheap, but dont last too long in my house. Savlon Antiseptic Spr This is a must have in my medication box in the cupboard in my kitchen. This spray comes in a little see through blue bottle with a pinkish coloured lid, it is slightly transparent so you can see the liquid contained within which looks simply like water. I had to use this yesterday whilst my little three year old was over, and had the misfortune to fall off her little scooter and graze her knee in the garden. I call it nannas magic spray as when this comes out tears disapear and smiles follow. To use this simply spray it onto the affected area, and a few sprays of this almost looks like water will help to wash the area also cleaning it and has an antiseptic formula which helps to stop infections. It may take a few seconds to dry, and is usable on grazes, paper cuts, I dont think there is ever a child that doesnt fall off their bike or scooter whilst learning, or gets into climbing or just generally falling when running etc, so this spray is a must have in any medication box. This cost £2.62 per 100mls and I find that this bottle will last for ages, so is well worth buying as you will be safe in the knowledge that the affected area is clean and stops infection which you may get from the floors, or ground where dirt lurks. I have always used this spray and what i personally like about it is it is no fuss to use and you can simply pop it into your handbag or picnic bag when going out for the day, so you always have a magic spray available for those little mishaps that often occurr. This spray contains polysorbate 20, when you spray it it looks much like just a spray of water and i havnt noticed any real strong smell with it, and my grandchildren always seem to feel much better when I get my magic spray out. I have always trusted products by savlon and have been using their products for years and can remember my mum
Gaviscon Original. I have a botle of Gaviscon available in my fridge for the first sign I get of indigestion, or heartburn, or acid reflux which I suffer from, certain foods can unfortunately set this off, as soon as i get a hint that I am starting to suffer with indegistion, or that horrible acid reflux I reach for this product and take initially two 5mls spoonfulls of this liquid, if it persists for a further half hour I take another couple of spoon fulls. This isnt cheap it will cost you just over £5.00 for 300mls full, but it is worth every penny for sure. I wouldnt say that I like the taste of this medication, although it has a spearmint flavour, I just think it is thick and gloopy, and that puts me off, and it does leave a chalky kind of aftertaste in your mouth, but hey it really works, I feel so much better after half and hour has passed. You can buy this on the shelve at any supermarket, or chemist. I always have a bottle on handy as I do have an on going problem with acid repeating from my tummy, and that causes me a bit of pain. This comes in a browny coloured bottle, with a blue label with Gaviscon written across the centre in white, it states peppermint liquid and states that it is used to treat heartburn, and indigestion. It does as it states gives fast soothing relief. It does tell you on the bottle that if symptons persist, consult your doctor. I find that it does work well for me. It gives clear instructions on how to use this product on the side of the bottle. I have tried other remedies, and I always go back to this one as it actually works well for me. Try it if you are suffering from indigestion, or acid reflux,it may be a bit yucky to swallow but it isnt that bad, after the after taste has faded away, you will truly benefit from this product. Sainsburys basics freezer and food bags. I recently read a review on these bags, so decided to try them. and as they are part of the Sainsburys Basic Range they have compared cheaper than the current freezer bags I have been using, they only cost 57pence for 50 bags, so they are good value for money. I tend to buy my meat in bulk because it works out cheaper that way, I usually devide up my meat, chops, mince into portions that are ample for just myself, I put them into the freezer bags, these freezer bags are quite thick plastic and you can fit quite a bit into them, they provide you with little plastic ties, that I tear off when i need to use them and wrap them around the neck or top of the back, to seal the items in.d I also stick a label sticky one on the front of the bag with the contents written on there and the date so I can keep track of whats in them and when they have to be used by. These bags are also great for making lunches in, you can fit a few sandwiches into them and seal them, they are great for putting items in when you go for a picnic. I find these bags are not only good for freezing stuff in, they make great cheap bags for loads of uses, popping little screws and bits and bobs into into the junk drawer, well its a drawer that I feel most housholds have with little bits and pieces in that you might need in the future. I was most impressed with the amount of bags you get in the carboard box, work out about 1p per bag, and they last for ages. I used to spend loads of money on freezer bags, and I used to but the expensive ones with the zips across the top, which i used to have to wash out to reuse, with these bags i can throw them away after use as they are cheap to replace. These bags are durable, and are a great idea, and well cheap. I would recommend them. Thanks for reading and rating my reviews.
Its coming around to that time again when Hot Cross Buns are appearing in the supermarkets. Although they seem to have been around for the past month in Tescos Supermarket. I am lucky usually to arrive when they have just been reduced at the end of the day, when I go hunting for bargains and these are really super quality buns. They are squashy, soft and have loads of fruit contained in them. I like to buy a few packets to pop into my freezer, this I find does not affect the taste at all, when they are thawed out, I do this as theres only me and unless I have my grandchildren around visiting I freeze them and take out what i need, as and when I need them. These are great as a snack, I prefer to cut mine into half, making sure the halfs are even so that I can pop them into my toaster, as I prefer to have mine toasted and hot, so that the butter I spread on them melts in the middle. I love these Kingsmill Hot Cross Buns when I am lucky to get hold of them, they are always fresh tasting and are sealed in a see through plastic coating, which helps to keep them fresh, I love the smell of them cooking in my toaster. They are good to have as a breakfast, snack, lunch or just with a nice cuppa. It tells you on the packet to defrost for two hours, freeze on day of purchasing and use within one month of purchasing them. I love the taste of the mixed spice contained in these lovely buns, and the smell of the spices comes through more when they are being toasted. My little granddaughter, loves her with butter and some mixed fruit jam on them. I love them with butter on, hot and they are very filling. I find these Kingsmill buns seem to be extra tasty, and have good quality fruit inside them. I would recommend them to you to try. They cost £1.30 for four, but I always get them reduced. Trying to save a few pennies because of mothers day coming up, then Easter I have opted for buying some cheaper products, and have started buying Tescos own brands the value ones to save a bit. This conditioner for a large bottle containing 500mls of conditioner is only 24pence and thats a real bargain as far as im aware. It is a creamy thick orangy colour and ive been using this product for quite a while now. I have dry hair and it is shoulder length, after shampooing I put a large handfull of this Conditioner all over my hair paying particular attention to the roots and scalp which mine tends to become dry very easily. I leave it on for a few minutes, to give it a chance to do its job, and I am always very happy with the results it gives every time. It leaves my hair feeling very soft and manageable, and im happy with the results because it is a cheap product that you wouldnt expect to work well, but it does do the same job as many of the more expensive bottles. I buy this and pour it into a large expensive container which had conditioner in it before, and when my grandaughter did her hair, she said the Conditioner was good, i didnt tell her it was Tescos own cheap brand and she was impressed too. I will continue buying this conditioner, it is very good and does the job perfectly. Thanks for reading and rating my reviews.
I noticed these chips in the freezer section at Tescos and they are great, they come in a nice looking bas which you simply snip open and pour the required amount out onto a oven tray, they cook for between 20-30 minutes, i dont have the luxury of a fan assisted oven, and they always are good quality potatoes, i havnt noticed any black bits, and the chips do crispy up, and taste really good, I cant eat fried chips so as these are cookable in the oven they are great, and much more healthier than fried chips. A bag full of one and a half kilos will cost £1.70p and you do get a lot in a bag for your money. I like the taste of these chips, they come out golden brown and rispy depending on how long you cook them for, i dont like oven chips that are undercooked, or skinny, so these work really well in my house, my grandchildren love chips with most things, I make home made pizzas, and serve these chips with them and a little home made coleslaw, or with beefburgers in buns, fishfingers, or sasages or pies, most of these items go well with these chips. There is only 5.8 grams of fat contained in these chips a little sugar and therefore I feel that they are much more healthier than buying fried chips, which dont agree with my tummy anyway. These offer good quality chips and they are certainly chunky so you get a nice bite full of chip, they are also great to cook for chip butties which are a favourite of mine, or i like to serve them in pitta bread for a change. They are quick and easy to prepare, i put mine in the oven mark 200, and cook them until they are crisp and brown usually about 20 minutes but you will know how you prefer them cooked by looking at the colour of them. My grandchildren loved them, and they have a great crispy taste. I always use these chips as I personally prefer fat chips. I would recommend them if you like me dont enjoy those skinny french fries.
