This was the first puzzle my daughter owned as it was given to her as a christening gift. She was obviously too little to use it so it was put away till a little after her first birthday when i stumbled on it while de cluttering.
This is a lovely wooden puzzle with five animals pieces:
She loved the puzzle immediately as she absolutely loves animals. It was easy for her to grip the pieces as they have little wooden grips designed for little fingers so i was happy with that.
She was too little to know all the animals then but the puzzle definitely helped her with her hand eye co ordination and she was soon able to put all the pieces in with no problem at all.
It also helped a lot that there was a picture of each animal on the base as she was so young.
This puzzle didn't last too long in our house though as we gave it on to a friend as it was getting too easy for her and was no challenge at all.
Overall I would recommend this to a friend as its a great little starter for any baby.
My daughter absolutely loves Handy Manny. She watches it everyday on disney junior and when she saw this advertised on the TV we had to get it for her.
Its a very educational toy as well as a whole lot of fun. you have to press Manny and he says phrases in both english and Spanish that my daughter loves.
it also comes with all the tools (well except flicker). and it comes with the little red toolbox too.
My daughter loves rearranging the tools in it too. And all the tools fit in manny's hands and she picks them up with him and pretends to be fixing things around the house.
Manny also asks questions like 'which tool do i need to cut something'... and you have to put dusty (the saw) into manny's hand.
She plays with it so often so even though it was a bit expensive (£24.99 from argos) its definitely been worth the money.
The only downside i can see is that the tools are small and hence they do end up getting lost under the settee and in it too quite often. especially Turner and Felipe. and my daughter was disappointed that Stretch the measuring tape did not actually work.
All in all its a good sturdy toy that any handy manny fan would be happy to own.
we got these for my daughter when tesco were having their baby event and they were half price.
We are potty training our daughter and we left her with just nickers on in the day but put her in pull ups for bed time. My daughter has a tiny waist and the medium is just right for her. I especially like the sticky tabs at the side which can be adjusted.
They are not as absorbant as normal nappies but i guess thats the point as my daughter knows when she wets herself and runs to the toilet, she even does so sometimes at night which makes me a very happy mummy. These pull-ups are also very easy to put on and take off. my 2 year old does so with ease.
She loves the fact that the pull-ups are pink and there is no issue in getting her in them.
I would advise to make sure your daughter is definately ready for potty training as these pull-ups are on the expensive side.
Got this from the pound store as i really dont like using razors, and am too much of a wimp to try epilators. I usually use the original Nair but I saw this in the store and thought I would try it out as it has camellia oil and ylang-ylang.
I did not do the patch test and unfortunately i did have a slight reaction to it.
I used it on my legs, arms, underarms and upper lip. And I have to say the results were better than i hoped for. I left the cream on for 5 minutes and after that wiped it off with a wet cloth and had to go over it twice but it got all the hair off.
There was a slight burning sensation on my upper lip and it took off a tiny bit of skin too. But i was fortunate that it was only a very small bit. So will not be using it on my face again.
It did not really make my skin feel soft or very moisturised but other than that it did the job.
I had to get this soap as i wanted a 'simple' soap for washing our hands at the sink.
I did not want any harsh chemicals for my hands as they get very dry very quickly and i didn't want any of those fancy fragranced soaps or brightly coloured gels for my guests to be washing their hands with.
So I got this simple soap as I saw it advertised on TV saying that it did not have any harsh chemicals and they were not dressing it up be be something it wasn't.
I get the double pack from our local poundland for a pound. I think this is good value for money. The soaps are individually wrapped. The soaps are a good size too. And they last a good while too as you only have to use a little bit and it lathers up very well just like any other soap.
I would recommend this soap to my friends as it does the job its meant to.
We were in the baby isle at tesco and my daughter who was about 6 months at the time spotted the tommee tippee puzzle teether and was determined to try and get it. we did get it for her even though she wasn't teething at the time but she did start teething soon after.
It is the best teether we got for her. Her nan got a couple of teethers for her place for my daughter but none were as good. This teether is brilliant as its just the right size for little hands.
She could bite anywhere on the teether and (im assuming) that it was very effective in relieving her pain as we didn't have much of a problem with her during this stage.
Also it has a lot of colours and textures and makes a nice rattling sound that distracted her from the pain so that was very handy.
Id say this is a must have for those tricky months of baby teething. It also acts as a rattle so thats a bonus. But i would say it might be a bit big for anyone under 6 months.
I would reccommend this product to a friend as it has worked very well for my daughter.
I got this as it was on offer online and was very excited for my daughter to play in it.
i dont think one packet is enough as it only filled about 5cms of the bath and it was more like slush than gelli
But my daughter stayed in the bath for quite a long time, well over an hour and only came out as it was getting cold. She did try to put it in her mouth but soon spat it out.
this really does not have any cleaning purpose on the child and a shower is essential after to wash all the gloop off the body.
the magic dissolve powder did work it did dissolve the gelli but it did take ages and i had to go round with the shower after to get the bath clean.
Bascially if you dont like mess please dont get this as it taes ages to clean up.
my 2 year old daughter loves this double sided easel. i love the fact that it has detachable legs. we are currently using it without the legs as its just the right size for her and its very sturdy.
we only have a small room and so i have to fold it away eack time and its very easy to do so.
the chalkboard is very good and wipes clean after each use and we have been using it for over 6 months now. the chalks that come with it are only thin and break easily so i would reccommend buying chunky chalk eapecially for younger kids.
the whiteboard is good too. wipes clean easily with a cloth or wet wipes. i would reccommend getting some more pens though as you only get a black and red one with this and they arent the best they dry up soon.
the only downside i found is that the clip for the paper came loose a few times but its easy to just screw in with your fingers or a coin in the slot.
overall ita a very good buy and i would reccommend to a friend.
I love this powder not just for my daughter but for myself too.
Johnson's is a well known worldwide brand and thats why i first started using it.
I use this for my daughter after a bath and after each nappy change and she rarely has any nappy rash and she has no skin problems or allergies with it. It makes her skin seem even softer and gives her that nice soft baby smell. I love the smell and love the lingering smell in the room.
I use it after a bath too and also in my hair as it makes the hair seem less greasy.
The bottle is a good one too. the holes are not too wide so you dont use too much powder at each use and hence the bottle does last for quite a while.
Its available in most shops as its such a big name and its a very reasonable price too.
We got this for my daughter's first christmas when she was 6 months old. I put it together in less than 10 minutes. It is very sturdy and made of colourful plastic.
It has a detachable front with a carry handle that my daughter found very entertaining and still does 2 years later. Its educational too. It has piano keys at the front which can either play music or say the abc.
Very useful for parents is that theres a volume switch with two volume levels and you can also switch it off when it gets too much for you.
The battery life is pretty good too as in the two years we've had it we've only had to change the batteries twice and my daughter uses it quite often.
It has helped my daughter with learning to walk too and she started cruising at 10 months.
It is worth it if you pay full price for it though shopping around for a bargain is always the best.
I bought this for my husband a year ago and would say its still going well. He works in a manual job and is forever dropping the phone but it has very few scrathes on it and this is why we were most impressed.
The phone is very easy to use as well. Phoning and texting is relatively easy and straightforward. You can select a number from your contact list or you can type the number in manually too.
The photo quality is not the best however and he rarely uses it.
There is a mp3 function with the phone and this is very handy too.
The battery life of the phone is pretty good too i'd say it lasts about 2 days.
You can also browse the internet although i've notied its a bit slow and can cost a lot depending on what package/provider you have.
overall this is a good pone for somebody who wants a smart looking phone that does the job but dosen't hit your wallet up too much.
