Poundland is a nationwide store which has become somewhat of a phenomenon for many bargain hunters, the stores are found on most high streets across the nation. Many shops have followed suit and use the same concept of selling a range of products at a low price. As the name suggests everything is a pound within the store, however many products are available where you receive 2 or 3 of the items for a pound. For example for a pound you have the choice to pick four items from a range of products which are perfect for lunch; a variety of chocolate bars, crisps and cans of drinks.
The stores themselves are generally messy with boxes all over the isles, stock misplaces and stock on the floor. You will usually find yourself rummaging through the items to find a product of worth and that bargain that you are looking for.
The products themselves are not always of the best quality but what do you expect for a pound, having said that you can also get brand names products; food, drink, shower product ect for a pound where in larger stores the prices can be much higher. Poundland is the perfect store to get the kids toys from, as generally kids grow out of them quickly or the faze has changed to another product. This is the perfect store is you are looking for cheap products to do that one of diy job, the product would of be of the standard of quality for long term usage, but for the one of job it would be perfect.
The store has a whole range of products such as; kitchen equipment, food, drink, diy, personal hygiene, stationary and whole lot more. This shop is ideal for those of you out there who are students. Overall this I an excellent store and some great bargains can be found.
The apprentice is a reality television currently coming to a thrilling climax in the 5th series. The show started in 2004 and gathers 15 of Britain's budding, promising and intelligent young men and women, fighting it out for a six figure salary with Sir Alan Sugar. The series lasts for 12weeks and is one long gruelling job interview, and one candidate gets sacked each week after a task has taken place. The candidates live a life of luxury in a luxurious London property until they are fired. The candidates are then split into two groups each nominating a team leader, who takes charge of the team for the upcoming task. The tasks themselves are very challenging and vary from week to week testing the candidates business and decision making skills. The challenges themselves range from marketing, selling, fill making and sales pitches, all of which are very interesting to watch while testing the candidates business skills. Each week at the end of the candidates enter the board room to meet Sir Alan and discover who has won the task and they in return receive a reward. On the other hand the losing team leader has to pick two members of his team to enter the board room with them, and discuss the shortcomings of the task with Sir Alan. Sir Alan will listen to the candidates pleas and will eventually make a decision on who to fire, which the famous line "your fire" until there is one candidate left who wins the six figure salary and a job within his corporation.
The blackberry storm is a new stylish touch screen phone which for me it is a rival to the iphone, it appearance might not be quite as sexy and slim but none the less this is a brilliant phone. The phone is currently only available on vodaphone.
The blackberry comes with a massive 3.25 screen which is perfect for this model, the phone is slim however I think it is slightly heavier than other phones available. The screen is light sensitive and supports over 65,000 colours and is high resolution 480 x 360 pixel colour, which makes the colours on the screen so vibrant and bold.
The main reason I like this phone is that is amazing for work the internet is very quick and has wireless email. You can sync your hotmail account to the blackberry which is very convenient, so when you receive an email it comes up like a message. The phone has lots of features which make life easy and organised. It has a organisers, address book, task list and a memo pad all these enable you to be prepared and ready for any occasion.
Another excellent feature with the blackberry series is the instant messaging, it enables friends with blackberry's to talk between each other, and this service is also free.
The blackberry comes with an 3 mega pixel camera which is not the best quality but the pictures are of a high enough level and easily good enough. The other features on this phone make up for the lower camera quality.
Overall this is a excellent phone and I think anyone would be proud to be an owner of it. One problem I have found is that the keypad is slightly over sensitive and the phone has frozen once or twice. Other than those two problems I love this phone.
The nokia 5800 XpressMusic is nokia's first dip into the ever growing touch screen phone industry, and was meant to rival the iphone and blackberry storm. The nokia 5800 XpressMusic is a very good phone in it's own right but is not a rival for the iphone or blackberry. Nokia's first attempt at a touch screen is very good and I would recommended this phone to anyone just as as a replacement for the iphone. Now onto the phone itself I have had this phone for three months and now feel I am in a position to fairly judge it.
The 3.2 inch screen is plenty big enough, while the phone itself is small and slim ideal for slipping into your pocket. The phone is stylish and has sexy curves while neatly fitting into one hand for easy use. Phones are now seen as an fashion accessory and this is the perfect choice. The screen is high definition and gives a very high quality picture.
As the name suggests this phone is all about the music and has ample storage to hold hundreds of tracks. This phone usually comes with a 8gb memory card, which considering many ipod have less storage space is a very good amount. The music feature is easy to access either via the main menu or a touch screen button on the fronts. When upon the phones music menu the layout is of a excellent standard and very easy to use, you can create various play lists. Mean while the menu also has other sub areas such as; artists, albums' all songs, pod casts ,genres and composers. Once decided upon the song the music quality is of a high standard and can be heard through either the nokia headphones or on loudspeaker. The phone also has the feature giving you the opportunity to listen to the radio.
The phone has a 3.2 mega pixel camera which is adequate but not the best available. The picture quality is of a competent level, while the photos can be viewed easily. The phone has many other features which you would expect with a phone and all can be used with either your finger/thumbs or stylus provided (which slides neatly into the back of the phone).
Overall this is an excellent phone and I would recommended it to anyone, the only thing I can criticise about the phone is the 3.2 mega pixel camera. i also have had no problems with the phone. However if you are looking for an iphone do not look to this as a replacement.
