This stuff is essential if you have a cold. Nothing soothes a blocked nose like Olbas oil. I always have it in my cupboard ready for when the time comes and the cold strikes.
I have tried Vicks vapour rub but that doesn't seem to work for me. Olbas oil seems to be a lot stronger than Vicks.
The Olbas oil comes in 10ml, 28ml sizes. you can also get Olbas oil vapour refills and Olbas oil sticks.
The best way I have found to use this is to get a cup of hot water boiled from the kettle and put a few drops of Olbas oil in it. I do this when I go to bed as I think that when its time to sleep my blocked nose becomes worse. I put the cup right next to my bed were I sleep and the stream from the boiling water fills my room with the Olbas oil vapour and I can breath with ease as I sleep.
When I do this my room smells of nothing but Olbas oil for the next few days but its well worth being able to breath and having a good nights sleep.
I brought this phone. it must be about 5 years ago now and when I got it i just loved it. I like flip phones, especially because its purple and that's my favorite colour. and that fact that i like sony ericsson better than any other phone brand names.
This phone is a nice and slim compact size and it just fits nicely into your pocket. it is a nice deep purple colour which is lovely.
On the front of the phone there are three buttons which are in braille. Play/stop, fast forward and rewind. When you want to listen to music those three braille like buttons light up so its great to see in the dark and if you have your phone in your pocket you can distinguish the buttons easily.
On the front of the phone it also has a illuminated screen so you can see the time, date and any messages or phone calls that you receive.
The sony ericsson w380i has a really cool little gadget as well. If you have a phone call and you don't really want to answer it than you can hover your hand over the front of the screen and your phone will automatically go on to silent, but its still ringing so the person that is calling doesn't know you are not ignoring them or to busy to answer the phone.
As you open the flip on the phone you will notice that it is loose wobbly or about to brake, unlike some flip phones i have tried, this flip is very sturdy and doesn't feel as though its going to snap off in your hand.
The keypad buttons are quite sunken in so it does take some getting used to. i have found that after a while of texting my fingers start to hurt at the edges of my nail it from pressing the buttons.
There are your obvious buttons for answering and ending a phone call and you text and dialing keys.
what i have found is that the on button is on the key pad and i have found it quite hard to press as it is sunken as well. there is a big circle button to use as your left right up and down to go through your menu.
The screen is fairly big. not as big as the screens on the more modern phone but big enough to read messages and look at pictures.
On the menu there is:
downloads: on this phone this is were you can go and buy pictures and games. it is an easier way of getting to the games and pictures on the internet. its just a direct link.
music: this is were the music store and your personal Walkman is were you put your own music on to this phone. it also comes complete with a radio.
entertainment: this is were you can play on music dj which is were you can create your own little music beats
this is also were the voice recorder lives.
media album: this folder is were all your pictures, videos , games themes and web pages are kept.
messaging: messaging is were all your inbox, outbox , sent and draft folders are so you can keep track of who you have text and what you said.
internet: the internet is a mini computer.
call history: the call history is a list off all the calls you have made and all the missed calls so you can keep track of who you have called.
address book: is were you store all your phone numbers.
orgainiser: the orgainiser on this phone as pretty much the same on any phone with calendar , calculator, stopwatch and timer.
settings: the settings is to adjust your phone to the way you like it such as volume, wallpapper, ring tone and message tone.
I have had this phone for a very long time and it still works in perfect condition. i kept this phone as a just in case i need a phone because my main phone has let me down and low and behold it has, but i can always trust this phone to keep me going.
I got this slanket for Christmas about 4 years ago so I have had mine my quite some time now but it never fails to keep me warm on a really cold day. Mine is a really lovely pale pink colour and is just so soft and cosy.
slanket is 100% polyester and its made in china. on the label it says:
machine wash cold on a gentle cycle
tumble dry low
do not bleach
do not iron.
The slanket almost feels as if it was fluffy and made from fleecy goodness. The slanket stretches the full length on my double bed so it is pretty massive, big enough to wrap your whole body it three times.
The slanket has really long wide sleeves so when your moving about round the house you can take it with you so you feel warm all the time. It also has a triangle shaped hood to keep your head lovely and warm as well. Some times when I put my hood up I feel a bit like a Jedi.
If am not wearing my slanket its always on my bed for extra warmth in the night time.
The slanket blanket comes in 15 different colours to suit everyone's taste.
When I first got my slanket they was really expensive, they were about £40 but now you can get them for less than £20.
I always rely on my slanket on a cold night and it never fails to keep me nice and toasty. I don't think I could ever be without it
I was really craving soup one day so i took a walk down to my local co op, i was only going to get a small tin of soup but then i noticed Heinz beef stew and dumplings soup and i thought nice one. I love stew and dumplings, its my favorite meal especially when the weather is nasty and cold.
The Heinz stew and dumplings comes in a green plastic tub which was about the size of a pot noodle but not as tall.
The label on the front showed a very tasty picture of different vegetables and dumplings.
This Heinz stew and dumplings only takes 2 minutes in the microwave which i also thought would be perfect for work as well.
When i took the first mouth full of this beef stew i was not impressed at all. The gravy that's in this pot is a very strong beef flavor and it overpowered all of the veg in the stew, it was very strong and left a bitter taste in my mouth. I only had one chunk of beef in the stew which i thought was a bit disappointing because if i brought beef stew i actually expect there to be some beef in it.
There were 3 dumplings about the size of a power ball, i couldn't taste them at all, the gravy just destroyed the taste and the texture of the dumplings.
I was quite disheartened with this because they cost £1.38 each and i expected to taste each different ingredient.
I will not be buying this soup anymore. i am gonna stick to mums home made stew and dumplings.
The only good thing about this is that you can re use the tub as it microwaveable.
I wasnt to keen on the ribena blackcurrent as I am not a big blackcurrent fan but when I saw the new ribena strawberry I was intrigued.
The strawberry ribena comes in a slim tall plastic bottle with a red screw lid cap. Around the bottle is a plactic covering which is also red. In big letters across the top it says Ribena and acroos the bottem it says strawberry. on the front the are pictures of juicy strawberries. Which are very inviting and it is very eye catching.
It also says that it is rich in vitamin C which is a powerful antioxidant.
It has no added preservatives
no artificail colours or sweetneres
and contains real fruit juice.
On the back of the bottle it has the list of ingredients and a nutrition information chart which tells you how many calories and sugar is in the bottle.
There is a customer care adress you can write to with a free post and also a customer phone number that you can contact which is a 0800 number so it will be free.
When i had my first sip of the Ribena strawberry drink i was overwhelmed of how delisious and how much of a kick this drink has. it really does get your taste buds going. its a very refreshing fruit drink and its great when you on the move.
This drink only cost me 99p from my local shop and when ever I go in there I always buy one as they are so yummy.
I never have actually bothered with fake tan before because i cant really afford to keep buying it each month as it is quite expensive depending on which make you prefer but then some different brands still cost over then £10 mark.
I was in the pound shop one day and i noticed that they were selling the mini version of the sally hanson airbruch legs for only a pound so i thought i would buy some and give it a go. i brought two of these airbrush legs just incase a rannou half way through one leg as they were only small.
The airbrush fake tan can is only small, the same size as a travel size deodrant. the different shades of bronze on the actually can is the smae shade as whats in the can. there are different shades you can buy from dark to medium to light. i brought the light one.
As i applied this to my legs it came out realy fast. i found that as it spays out its actually daker than it says but then you do need to rub it in and it dose spread really far. and the colour does look like wat its suposed to. after I finished one leg i noticed i haven't even used half of the tiny can and i was amazed as to how much i had left.
When I had finished both legs there was no streaks or blotches and my legs didnt look orange and I had a couPLE of brusies on my legs that were covered and you couldnt see them an there was still loads of tan left in the first can after i had finished. My legs looked really nice and tanned. My friends and family actually thought i was wearing tights. they didnt think for one minute that I had fake tan on my leg.
The tan started to wear off after a couple of days. but the i just applied more.
I would recommend this fake tan to anyone
Everytime I am need of a new book I always head for Waterstones book shop in town near me. I know they sell books online and maybe they are a bit cheaper and in the comfort of your own home but there is nothing like going into a book store and actually picking up a book and just having a sneaky little read of it before i decide to buy it, I know i do.
They have a really great offer on at the moment, you get a little stamp book and they stamp your book each time you buy a book over 10 pound. The offer last untill april 2012 and after you have filled the stamp book you get a book for free. how great is that.
Everytime I walk into Waterstones book store it feels so welcoming and the staff are very lovely and very helpful. They help you find a book if you cant find it and if it isnt instore they look on there computer and they can order one in for you. If the book you are looking for hasn't been released then they will let you know when it is out and how much it would be.
The store has all different types for books to suit everyones taste buds.
I would always visit my local Waterstone, I can never get enough. When ever i am in town i always have a look, even if i am not buying anything because i guarantee you will always go in and there would be a new exciting book in store.
I have to admit that i am a bit of an exfoliating freak. I am always exfoliating and found that some exfoliating products are fairly expensive and sometimes I just don't have the money to buy these products every month as some of these exfoliating body scrubs cost from £5 and some times £10 depending on which brand of product you prefer.
I was out shopping one day and i came across the exfoliating gloves. i have heard a lot about them but i didn't think they might work as good as my body scrub. So as i was shopping in boots i grabbed myself a pair of these gloves and i must admit i wasn't really expecting them to be good, but they cost about £3 for one pair so i thought it was worth a shot.
After using these gloves I was amazed. they worked exactly as my body scrub would work. They left my skin soft, silky and glowing. I didn't expect this from a pair of gloves.
From since buying those exfoliating gloves I haven't spent a great deal on buying body scrubs.
All i need is these exfoliating gloves. Probably one of the best buys.
I actually brought this frizz-ease intense recovery masque for my boyfriend as he has very curly hair and it tangles together really quicky and his hair is very dry at the ends and looks pretty wispy.
The frizz-ease range was on a 3 for 2 offer at Boots so I also brought dream curls shampoo and conditioner as well as the intensive hair masque.
The frizz-ease hair masque comes in a round clear pot with a purple screw top on it. The discription on the front of the pot is quite small so its quite hard to find it among the other frizz-ease ranges.
The pot alone costs about £6 which is fairly expensive but you do get alot in it.
When using the frizz-ease masque you have to leave it on for 3 - 5 minutes depending on how damaged and dry your hair is. You only need to use this masque 2 - 3 times a week.
After using this hair masque you could tell the difference instantly. His hair was really soft and really easy to untangle. After it had completly dryed his curls were really defined and lovely. The frizz had completely gone and the dry ends were soft and smooth.
This product is great for anyone who has untamable hair. Its so easy to use and it does exactly what is says its suposed to do.
everyone likes a good chocolate biscuit with there cup of tea or coffee and there is nothing like mcvities caramel chocolate biscuits.
They are out of this world with a crunchy digestive biscuit base and then a nice layer of mouth watering caramel topped of with a lovely layer of chocolate.
With the caramel in the centre it makes the biscuit even sweeter and yummier then ever. The caramel is nice and chewy and just makes the biscuit better. the mcvities chocolate digestives are nice but the biscuits with the caramel centre just make them so much nicer.
i think everyone should treat there selves with a packet of these biscuits. they are quite expensive. they are around the £3 mark. which is quite alot of money but they are worth every penny. sometimes in ASDA they have the mcvities range on sale which is always a plus. i love them.
When it comes to buying a mosturiser its hard to find the right one that you like, Esspecially when there is tones and tones of brands out there that do different things that keep your skin looking healthy. But not all brands work for your type of skin. I have tried so many that I haven't got on with. I have found that some have made my skin itchy or Leave my skin dry and flaky.
The Dove Silky Nourishment body cream comes in a white circle pot with a screw cap on it, Also it has a foil film over the moisturiser to keep it nice and fresh and to make sure no nasty bits get it to it as your using it. I brought this from wilkos and it cost me £4.55 which I thought it was a good price for a big pot. You can also buy this same mosturiser in a tall bottle which cost the same price.
When i unscrewed the cap off the pot and pulled back the foil film there was a lovely smell. It was a really sweet rosey smell that made me just want to eat it. The feel of the body cream was so creamy and silky and light as a feather.
when i started using this body cream it just glidded and melted into my skin and left my skin feeling amazingly silky and smooth and made my skin smell great. it dryed really quickley and didnt leave my skin dry or flakey. my skin was smooth and silky all day.
if i had to buy any moisturiser it would have to be the Dove silky nourishment body cream.
I have the marshall mg 100dfx head with matching A cab and B cab and I have got to say that this is one of the most reliable gigging amps i have ever had.
I only ever use the overdrive channel to get clean sound and use external sounds and it copes with any thing you through at it with ease.
I use quite alot of effects but this never seems to dull the sound of the amp. This amp has an extremely warm and valve like tone to it even though it is solid state and delivers that vintage marshall sound with ease. Its built like a tank.
The head has four channels. Clean, Crunch, Overdrive 1 and Overdrive 2.
Clean channel: The clean channel is standard marshall clean tone, a bit to clean for me.
Crunch: The crunch channel delivers those classic rock riffs well
Overdrive 1: I use this for my clean tone as i like the slight break up but it overdrives really nicely to give you the warm marshall tones.
Overdrive 1: Overdrive 2 is the all out shred tones. great for metal bands of any discription. Combine overdrive 2 with the contour dial you get a full out scooped metal sound.
The inbuilt effects on this amp are chours and delay, delay, chours and flange. All the effects are really good standard sounds and work really nicley with the amp without changing the overall volume of the amp. There is also built in reverb which takes you from light room sounds to jeff buckley reverb drenched guitar tones.
Overall this is a brilliant budget marshall head and cab combo which cost me £400 and was worth every penny. I have never had any problems and i would be heart broken if this amp was to break.
well all i can say is with the new year coming up and most people will be making new years resolutions to quit smoking but then the next day they have a cigarette on the go, I am one of those people.
Its possibly one of the hardest habits to quit and some people try and fail and say they will start on monday.
The wait is now over my friends. this electric cigarette is great. It isnt like any other quite smoking products. Nothing like patches or the chewing gum. This is the deal.
The electic cigarette looks like a cigarette and feels like one too. Its a small white stick with a filter coloured end which is changable when it runs out. i have also found that you can buy different flavoured filters. there is apple, vanilla, mentol, mint and just your ordinary cigarette taste. For a box of ten filters it costs only £2.
The white stick is rechargable so you will never need to buy another one. right at the end of the cigarette stick there is a light which glows red when you draw on it.
The electric cigarette comes with its own car charger, a USB charger and also a three pin charger. the charge lasts about two hours depending on how often you use it.
When you inhale the vaporise smoke it just feels as if your having an ordinary cigarette. When trying this electric cigarette for the first time it does have quite weird taste to it but it doesnt take long until you get used to it, It takes about a day or so.
These electric cigarette are brilliant esspecially if your in a public place like a pub as they are allowed by law. which is great as you wont have to stand out sided in the nasty cold wheather.
You can buy these ciggarettes online for about £20. I got mine from Trotters Traders for £10 and it comes with 10 free filters, all three chargers.
You can also now buy the disposable electric cigarettes from tesco for £6 each and you can get atleast 30 cigarettes out of that one disposble cigarette.
Some people think that Asda smart price food range is really rubbish and doesn't taste very nice at all, because it is so cheap. Yes they are right, the food is cheap but it taste rather nice to me. I wouldn't stop buying Asda smart price food range.
The smart price bourbon creams biscuits are delicious and to be honest i actually think they taste a lot better then the name brand bourbons. The creamy chocolate inside the to slices of chocolate biscuits is to die for. the chocolate doesn't taste cheap, it taste amazing. just like the actually branded bourbon biscuits. To me there is no difference in the taste, only in the price.
Asda price bourbons only cost 13p. compered to most expensive biscuits your saving at least well over £1 and the taste is actually better. The only down side is that they have seemed to make the bourbons a lot slimmer, They used to be quite chunky. You still get your 13p worth though.
well today i wondered in to wilko's after realising that my nail polish is all chipped and, well doesnt look very nice and i had already ran out of nail polish remover.
after about 5 minutes of walking round wilko's i finally found some and it was wilko's own brand nail polish remover with acetone. i couldnt complain as it only cost me 79p whihc i think was good.
It comes in a clear plastic bottle with a black screw cap on it. the name of the nail polish is called "clean fresh romover". it has a small round circle stick on the front which reads,
" nail polish remover with acetone. wipe away your nail polish with our fast-acting acetone formula".
when i returned home after a days shopping i reached in to my bag with the nail polish remover in it and i have found that it had leaked all over my other things that i had brought from wilko's. i didnt find this very good as it only had half of the remover left.
As i started to use this polish remover i found it really difficult to take the nail polish off and i found i had to work alot hard to scrub it off. When i had finally got all the nail polis of my nail i saw that it had actually smudged all over my finger and wouldnt come off.
I only did one nail and decided that this nail polish remover wasnt great and i stopped using it. i know it was only cheap as it cost me only 79p but i expected alot more. i haved brought alot cheaper nail polish removers berfore and they was even better than this one.
