I came across this site after advice from a friend and decided to pay a visit as I was fed up one day and boy am I pleased I did. I have never been to an auction before and was a bit wary at first but once I got into the swing of it there was no stopping me. I read up on the whole insurance thing which is for if you do not get the item you paid for so you are basically covered and it does give you peace of mind. Also people have feedback written after their name when people have traded with them before so its nice to know they can be trusted. I have bought numerous things now including a dreamcast console and plenty of games, they have been like new and saved me a lot of money. There is no need to enter your credit card details as you deal directly with the actual person who is selling and I have been impressed with each person I have dealt with as they have always been polite and answered my emails straight away. The only drawback with this site is its addictive and my husband is wary leaving me alone for fear I'll go to it and spend more money but I would recommend anyone looking for a bargain should pay this site a visit.
I recently bought this for my son as he had a bouncy chair which wasn't working as well as he is rather heavy and this is a god send. I have the 2 in 1 entertainer as there is another version thats isn't for use as a toddler. The one I have is for use from 6 months up till 3 years, as your child starts toddling you can remove the seat and use it as a play station that they can stand inside. The seat for use now rotates 360 degrees so your child can reach all the toys that are attached all around the tray and it can be either stationary or the pegs clipped in on the base so the entertainer gently rocks. It is brightly coloured and the toys around the tray are great and have my son occupied while I know he's safe and cannot fall off anywhere with him not being able to sit up yet. All in all this is a great item for baby to sit in and enjoy himself while you know he's perfectly safe and not able to be moved around like the average walker. A great buy and I wish they had had it out earlier for my other children.
I watched the film Double Jeopardy the other night and enjoyed it throughly. Ashley Judd and Tommy Lee Jones star in a great film. It's basically about a woman who gets stitched up for her husbands murder and goes to prison for it. While serving time she finds out her husband isn't actually dead and when she is released goes in search of her son. She also comes across her husband and a pack of lies which she doesn't believe but gets her revenge so justice prevails in the end. Tommy Lee Jones has played better characters but still does bring his character to life, a truly enjoyable film to watch and I would recommend it to anyone.
I rented this video out the other night as it was placed high up in the video top ten and thought I would give it a go. I can honestly say I enjoyed it even though I was expecting it to be a bit corny. It starts out with a diver clearing beaver traps underwater and who is promptly eaten by this giant crocodile which then sparks a team of people to arrive to try and catch this beast. Bill Pullman plays the lead in this film and he does it well. The storyline surprisingly is not corny at all and it keeps you riveted to the end. There are a few gruesomes scenes as people get eaten which are so lifelike with the special effects which adds to the story brilliantly. All in all a great film which makes a change from the usual shark films out there.
I was bought this perfume for my birthday and I just love it, it smells so nice and not too heavy. I have different perfumes but this I must say is definately my favourite. It doesn't seem to have a flowery smell like mose perfumes I could mention and it isn't too overpowering either. The fragrance seems to last all day and even gets stronger the more it settles on you. Not the cheapest you can buy but definatley worth the money.
I bought the Russell Hobbs Millenium kettle when my Morphy Richards one decided to pack up on me, I had had no end of problems with it and swore I would never buy one of the same make again. What attracted me to this new kettle was the colour as it was exactly the right colour green I wanted and it is supposed to boil quicker than the average kettle and also there is no limit to the amount of water you have to put in. One cupful is okay which isn't always the case with other kettles. I like the cordless feature as the base which has the lead attached can be pushed right back on your work surface away from reaching hands. The one thing I will say against this kettle is I find it slightly noiser than average but because its quicker it doesn't cause too much of a problem, I would recommend this kettle as I have had no problems with it since I bought it.
I joined Weight Watchers after having my fourth child and each time promised myself I would go but this time I did and boy am I glad I did. As I have never been before I can't comment on the old diet but the new one called 1,2,3 success is so easy to follow. I absolutely adore chocolate and was so worried about having to give this up but each food has a points value and you are allowed a certain amount of points each day depending on what you weigh so it is still possible to have chocolate. But funnily enough I have very little now and am amazed I don't miss it more. The weekly meetings I find a great boost if you stick to the points as it's a great feeling to be weighed and have lost more and the leader is so encouraging. I have lost a total of 37 pounds in 3 months and am so pleased I would advise anyone to join, it really is very easy to follow and I find I am eating the same as before just smaller portions, nothing has to be left out. So if anyone out there is looking for a suitable diet I would definately recommend Weight Watchers.
When I was younger I would hear Tom Jones played by my mum and always liked his songs like 'the green green grass of home' and 'its not unusual' but when my sister went to see him in concert when I was about 16 how I laughed going to see Tom Jones at her age what a laugh! But now and for a few years now I can really see the appeal. I don't think he's particulary handsome although I don't class him as ugly at the same time but it's his voice! He has such a lovely charm about him when he's singing and the hits he has had just get better and better. Tom Jones just seems to have come alive again in the last few years and I don't think he has had a bad hit. One of my favourite solo's has to be 'Sex Bomb' but I just love the duet's he has done also, he seems to be such a hit with the younger people of today like he was back in my mums day. A truly brilliant artist which is only proved by the fact that he can appeal to such a wide audience and still have hits in the top 10 year after year. Lets hope he goes on to do more and more for years to come.
This is a personal matter that only you and your partner if you have one can decide on, but no doubt you will hear so much so called advice on this subject. This isn't advice just my own personal experience. When I had my first baby we occasionally shared our bed and it was fine, the same with number 2 but when number 3 came along we made it a habit, big mistake!!! It started as it was cold and we needed sleep, we had an exceptionally cold house. But as time wore on baby katie would not settle in her cot at all and it was the only solution. I finally got tough at about 2 years of age but then it had to be one of us lying along side her until she fell asleep or we did ! It got better as time wore on and now at three she goes to sleep on her own but with her sister in bed also. Baby number 4 is so different as we made a pact to use the cot no matter what and it is wonderful, he goes to sleep on his own and spends all night in his cot, wakes up happy talking to his toys and its so nice to have our bed to ourselves. The only occasion we may bed share is if there is no way to settle him and we need sleep but this is not very often at all but I do like the cuddles when this does happen! So whatever you feel happy with I would say go for it but do try and draw the line somewhere as I wish we had with baby number three! It would have been far nicer not to have to share our bed for such a long time.
I watched this film last night on video and was very disappointed. I ran into the video shop and just grabbed it off the shelf and it wasn't until I got home that I noticed it was only a 12 so I wasn't expecting great things which was a good job as I was alone watching it as my husband was on nights and I am a bit of a scaredy cat. The special effects were great and probably the best part of the film and the storyline just seemed to disappear. Catherine Zeta Jones and Liam Neeson star in what can only be described as certainly not their best films. The story was easy to follow about a haunted house which a doctor had got three adults to stay in under false pretences but once the mystery of the house was revealed well I feel the story just disappeared. As for how the house was defeated well I'm still not sure how the girl did it or why what happened to her had to happen either. Needless to say I didn't go to my bed shaking and I left the dog in the kitchen as usual as well. A truly disappointing film for anyone that is expecting a horror.
The Philips 14" Tv Combi with Video is a very useful entertainment system. I purchased mine about 18 months ago after toying with the idea of a separate TV and video or TV and video combi and choose the latter only as a matter of space saving principle. After trawling around the local Currys/Dixons, I opted for the Philips though there were cheaper alternatives. I thought it offered good features combined with a good reputation for quality products. Set up was easy with a very user friendly manual and easy to use remote control, the picture quality is very good (an indoor aerial is supplied though we choose to run an extension lead from the main aerial). The usual VCR and TV features are on the remote control including the handy videoplus. A scart socket is fitted to the back of the TV for such accessories as a camcorder or to connect another VCR. The only real disappointment is that this particular TV/Combi has only one tuner which means you cannot watch another channel whilst recording, however if like us you had bought the TV combi as an extra for another room, then this shouldn't be a problem. All in all a quality product that is reasonably priced, well recommended.
I bought this cooker as my old one decided to pack up on me a couple of weeks ago and this was on sale in Scottish Power. The colour drew me to it originally as I was looking for a green cooker and this is in green. I also liked the idea of a double oven this time having never had one before. I cannot fault this cooker so far and would recommend it to anyone. I love the double oven aspect and wouldn't go back to a single one now, I find it so much easier. It has a timer which I have found very easy to work out and self cleaning sides inside the oven, which are supposed to burn off food if it splashes on to them, I suppose only time will tell if this works or not! The inside of the glass oven doors lift out for easier cleaning so life should be nicer from now on. There is one fault I have found in that when its been on for a while, the dials which operate the rings do become slightly hot. All in all though I find this a good addition to my kitchen and a nice looking one at that.
I watched this film on video last night and was expecting great things as I had read so much about it when it came out at the cinema, and I have to say I was in no way disappointed. I do like Julia Roberts as an actress and I do generally like her films but this time it was the storyline that got me interested. Julia Roberts plays a sassy divorced mother of three and she has been noted for it being the best performance of her career, I must agree with this as she plays this role so well. It is based on a true story and is about this mother who loses a court case after a car accident which wasn't her fault, goes on to be employed by her lawyer and fights a new case she stumbles across. The character Julia Roberts plays is very outspoken and doesn't seem to fit in at first but it so interesting how she brings people round to her way of thinking. A very enjoyable film for all not just Julia Roberts fans and I would advise anyone to rent this film if they haven't already seen it.
I couldn't seem to find this store listed with the others so I'll put this here and hope you don't all mind. I love this shop and especially their advantage card. This loyalty card system must be the best one on offer at the present time it is so easy to build up your points, with 1 point for every 25p. I have got numerous items free by cashing in my points as I do accumulate a lot with buying nappies and the such like, currently I am saving my points to put towards christmas presents as there is no limit on how long you keep them on your card for. They also have offers on around the store were you can gain bonus advantage points by buying certain items, and the range of products to redeem your points is endless. They regularly have general offers on in the store buy 1 get 1 free and the 3 for 2 and I seem to find I spend a small fortune every time I visit. Some items might be slightly dearer than other stores but I find I get it back by the points I am given for spending in Boots. Hope they continue with the advantage card and the offers for a long time to come .
We rented this video the other night on a friends advice who said it was absolutely brilliant and we do like Mel Gibson so thought it would be worth watching. I can only say how disappointed we were as the storyline is very slow. Mel Gibson plays a crock who gets doublecrossed by his partner in crime and his wife who has been led to believe by this man that Mel Gibson her husband is having an affair. They shoot him and leave him for dead but Mel Gibson does not die and comes back to take his revenge on the pair of them. I won't go into the film anymore as it would ruin the storyline if you feel the need to rent this video. I confess to falling asleep while watching this but awoke some five minutes later to be informed I hadn't missed a thing! A truly disappointing film for Mel Gibson, well we thought so anyway, it was way too slow.
