Hi, I am Karen Roach. Photos uploaded now! I am a new member, so I haven't got everything quite right. But here goes. Thanks if you have visiting my profile or rating my reviews. If I haven't returned the compliment, it's only because I haven't quite got the hang of how you do that quickly. So if I owe you, I will get round to it asap. let me know if I have missed you out.

My family consists of two adult daughters and three grand children. My interests are quite diverse so I'll read and write reviews on just about any topic that peaks my interest. My speciality is anything IT. Yes I know that is a strange speciality for someone who has grandchildren, and sometimes I think they'd like a conventional nanny who can show them how to knit (I'm terrible at that) or bake (I'm not bad at that) cookies, but I'm told it's cool to have a nanny who can show them how to make web pages and animation! I love travel, languages, other cultures, digital photography yeah it's getting boring now.

I write reviews about anything I fancy. I check the new product list to see if there is anything there that I have used or know about. Then I look at the new reviews to see if there is anything there I want to write about. Then I use the search box to see if anything I have used needs a review. I try to keep my reviews very concise. The minimum of 150 words is a good guide, as I suspect it wasn't picked out of thin air. It's hard to say everything you want to within that limit so, I usually go over, but I deliberately try to keep it short, as studies show that reading on a computer screen is not the same as reading a book or magazine, and few people will read long portions of text on screen.
