The Pandora leather bracelets are another expansion to the concept of building a collection of charms to represent the events in everyones lives, indeed, Pandora's slogan is 'unforgettable moments'. The leather bracelets come in black, brown, pink, purple, white, red and grey. You also have to choice of a single leather bracelet (£40), or a double wrap bracelet (£45). Pandora has also recently released a brand new triple bracelet in black and metallic grey (£50). The bracelets are a plaited set of three strands of leather, with a 925 sterling silver clasp. They are alot more casual then the solid silver bracelets, as you are advised not to fill the leathers as they may stretch under the weight of the charms. But could be dressed up or clipped together to create a different look! The same charms which go on the silver bracelets fit onto the leather ones, giving you hundeds of choices of colours, metals and designs. The charms themselves will move around freely on the leather bracelet, but a new 'rubber grip' concept for the clip charms has been brought out to keep the charms fixed in one place. No more than around 5 charms are advised on the single bracelet, and 7-9 on the double bracelet. The silver parts of a Pandora product are guaranteed for any manufacturing faults for one year, and the leather itself has a 6 month guarantee. I have had a black leather bracelet for around two years and have had no problems whatsoever with it! I have followed the guidelines such as not wearing it in water and not overfilling it, and it has stayed in very good condition! The black colour is very durable as well, which I think the paler white colour would not be. All in all a good piece of casual jewellery for any Pandora addict!
I imagine everyone must have seen the recent TV adverts about the advantages of B.B creams...so when I had run out of my usual foundation I decided to give this one a go. Garnier is a well - known brand, and the prices are comparable to most on the market. The liquid itself is fairy fluid, and absorbs and blends into the skin nicely. It is a lovely, even, natural colour. The main summary on this product is that it is definitely not a foundation, but a tinted moisturiser. I personally prefer a thicker coverage to cover breakouts, which this product is not ideal for. For me, I am wearing it on days off from work, where I am just popping out for a short while and do not need a fully made-up face. It gives my skin a nice glow (in some people I could see this resulting in a greasy face) without spending too much time getting ready. I think the term 'miracle perfector' is a strong one...but if you are looking for a tinted moisturiser then this one seems a good choice! Although I won't be trading in my usual full-coverage foundation, I think this is a nice addition to any make-up bag!
I have complete combination skin - greasy and prone to breakouts on the chin and nose, then dry and patchy on the forehead area. Therefore I am always looking for a thick-ish foundation which gives good coverage AND which lasts...but doesn't clog my pores. The size of the bottle is one of the highlights - alot of foundations which I have bought recently seem to be tiny tiny bottles which last only a month or so! This is a really good size - making it long lasting, and feels good value for money. The clear bottle also allows you to check how much of the product is left, and eliminates the need for cutting open the tube and scraping around inside to get the dregs out! From the display in store there were plenty of colour choices and testers which makes choosing a colour much easier. My major problem with this foundation is that when I have applied it to my skin it refuses to move or blend in! I find that I have to mix it with a little bit of moisturiser or another liquid foundation to give it some fluidity! When it has been applied it gives a strong, thick coverage - so is perfect for breakout days or nights out when I know that alot of pictures are going to be taken and when I need a long-lasting foundation. I can't wear this product during the day as I feel for my skin that it doesn't give a natural looking coverage. All in all, a good product if you need a thick foundation - and needs a bit of tweaking to make it wearable!
If I am honest I don't have any real problem with puffyness or dark bags on my under eye area - but bought this product after a recommendation from my sister (who funnily enough, has no problems with her eye area either!). The product comes in a stick which is filled with the liquid, and has a metal ball applicator which makes it very straightforward to use. After you have applied it to the under eye area it feels SO cool, fresh, and relaxing! The liquid itself does not absorb into the skin (although maybe I am excessively applying because I love the feeling of it!) so I have to wipe it off before applying my make-up in the morning. As mentioned, I don't have any of the specific problems which it claims to target - but I do think it makes my eyes feel more awake and alert - particularly after a night without enough sleep or a stressful day! The closest thing which I can compare it with is taking off high-heeled shoes after a night out...the feeling is just....lovely! I bought this product on special offer, and when I have used the full tube I probably wouldn't buy another at full price. To get my 'cool-eye' fix I may do as a previous reviewer has suggested - put some spoons in the freezer and place those over my eyes instead! All in all, a good product for a bit of light comfort...but probably no miracle worker for real undereye problems.
I am reviewing this product as I applied it to my nails last week and have been impressed with the colour, and long-lasting nature of the polish. I have a lot of Nails Inc varnishes as I think there are a lot of colour choices, and, despite the higher price tag, seem good value for money. This is one of the darker colours in my collection, as I am usually a pastel-colour girl. However, I fancied a change - and I haven't been disappointed! It is a lovely deep raspberry shade when the first coat is applied. I always apply two coats of Nails Inc as I think it makes the colour deeper, and seems to make it last longer. When that coat has dried then the second coat turns the colour a more vampy, deep deep plum colour. From a distance it looks black, though up close the warm colours shine through. The varnish is thick, and the brush makes application easy. I work in a jewellery shop so I need to have good-looking nails and it needs to last against chips! So far I have only had to top-up minimal chips. The only problem I have is that when removing this particular shade, it is such a deep shade that it can have stained your nails underneath. This should be easily rectified by applying a base coat to protect the nail. All in all, a great colour for autumn - high fashion, high gloss colour!
From the range of 5 safety chains that Pandora do, this seems to be the most popular amongst people I know who have the charm bracelets. The chain itself comes in three sizes - 4cm, 5cm and 6cm, which correspond to the length of your bracelet. 4cm chains are roughly recommended for 16 to 19cm bracelets, 5cm are recommended for 20/21cm bracelets, and 6cm chains for 23cm bracelets. It can be fitted by yourself, rather than some brands where you have to have it fitted by a member of staff in the shop. This makes it a great gift, and the different styles can be tried on to see which looks best with your combination of charms! All of your charms must be removed, and one end of the safety chain will screw on - to sit next to the barrel clasp. After it has been screwed on then your charms can all be added again, followed by the other end of the safety chain. The chain should stop the bracelet from falling from your hand when the clasp is open, so it is important to get the correct size for your hand and bracelet. It sits either side of the clasp and is a lovely, delicate flower design to add to your collection. Pandora silver products also come with a 1 year guarantee for manufacturing faults so there is no need to worry about catching the chain - they seem to be very strong and sturdy! All in all a popular product to add that bit of added safety when fitted onto a charm bracelet.
I am a home hair-dye fanatic...so have used most brands of colour at some point in my lifetime! Luckily that means I have LOADS of useful home dying experience. I usually colour my hair a deep chocolate brown but have decided to go for a more copper, autumnal colour this year. I can't remember the exact shade I used but it is a fiery, extreme orange-looking on the box! Sadly I am prone to some pesky white hairs so was looking for a vibrant, glossy hair colour, with good white and grey coverage. I also have a BIG problem with the smell of home hair-dye...in the past I have used colourants where the smell of ammonia was so strong it made my eyes water! The use of a mousse rather than a liquid was new to me aswell. The box contains gloves, dye, developer, instruction leaflet and conditioner. From the start, the process and instructions were easy to understand. The pictures on the guide were a good additional extra for first-time dyers rather than seasoned oldies like myself! I started to apply the foam (which, to be honest was a little too watery, leading me to worry that I may not have shaken the product up enough), which was easy enough to apply. After it was fully applied I began to wait the stated 30 mins. After about 15, I could see that the hair on my temples had completely changed colour so I panicked and washed the product off. I have since been told that this is a SERIOUSLY BAD IDEA as the colour may not have developed properly, leaving me with patchy, uneven colour. Lucky for me it was a beautiful shade, just exactly what I had been looking for! Whites and greys were all covered evenly. Another reason that I may have panicked and washed it off early was that I am used to using a 10 minute colours which are very popular now. 30 minutes seemed a very long time compared to that! The dye itself did not smell like awful ammonia, and the bits of dye I accidentally got on my ears and forehead rubbed off easily. All in all, a great, easy to use dye....with plenty of colour choices in the range. The information leaflet was easy to understand, and the colour has been long-lasting so far. The intense conditioner is fantastic too, and my hair really feels much smoother after using it once a week.
I have bought this lip gloss in two colours - the clear gloss and the more natural brown/blush, and think they are great value for money! The gloss is very thick, and gives great coverage. It is long-lasting and the colours are more natural than the vibrant reds and pinks that are in fashion at the moment. No fear if you like strong colours though - I simply applied a red lipstick first, then applied the gloss over the top (be warned though, the wand will turn red...and eventually the gloss in the tube will discolour using this method!). I am a BIG fan of glosses and balms so I was looking for something long-lasting that wouldn't stain my lips or be too sticky and result in me ending ending up with hair-in-gloss syndrome! Unfortunately this lip-gloss will result in major sticky hair, as it is very, very gooey. It hasn't stopped me buying another tube though, because I think it does exactly what it says on the 'tin' - give a pumped up, fuller pout. If I am honest I am a little unsure whether the tingly feeling you get from applying such projects is more placebo (you are more aware of your lips feeling tingly, so therefore they feel more pumped up?), as a pose to ACTUALLY looking any bigger, but I like the tingles...! The major problem about the gloss though, is that my boyfriend flat-out refuses to kiss me whilst i'm wearing it! He isn't Sally Hansen specific, he hates all gloss; but this is his personal nemesis! He hates the sticky feeling on his lips so I can really only wear it when I'm going out without him (on a day with NO WIND so I don't have to spend ages picking my hair out of my gloss!). All in all, I think it is a great product, but only if you can cope with the thickness of the gloss, and the associated problems that come with that!
