This sat nav was bought for my birthday as it was at a fairly low price in a shop's sale. It comes in a small and compact box which is easy to open. Inside there are several manuals and a how to work it guide.
The setup of this sat nav is incredibly easy, all I had to do was plug it into my computer with the usb cable that was provided and it loaded all the maps for me for free. The battery life on the sat nav is fairly good but it comes with a car charger so that you can just plug it into your cigarette lighter. A full charge lasts a good couple of hours. You also get a normal charger to plug the Tomtom into the wall.
After you have owned the sat nav for a while it starts to give you messages that you should plug it into your computer to get updated maps. This is a very handy feature because it saves you forgetting and then driving around with an old map which sometimes can be wrong.
The sat nav beeps at you to tell you if there are speed cameras about. This is very handy as it gives you time to check your speed and adjust it accordingly. The sat nav attaches to the windscreen with a little suction cup on the back which does stay on quite well, but it does leave a mark when you take it off.
One problem with this satnav is that it can sometimes be a little slow to tell you when you need to turn or it can be unclear. There have been a few times when I have gone the wrong way because it didn't tell me properly where I needed to go.
Other than that, I would definitely recommend this sat nav as it good value for money. It is small, compact and lightweight.
I use this everyday alongside E45 moisturiser to keep my skin fresh and clean. These two products work very well together.
Anne French is quite expensive, £2.20 the last time I bought it and it doesn't last for a huge amount of time. I find that Anne French gets deep inside your pores and drags all the dirt, grease and oil out which leaves your skin feeling revitalised. I pour it onto cotton wool and then rub it over my face. I have to be quite careful what I put on my face because I have quite sensitive skin but this doesn't make my skin red, in fact it makes it feel soft and smooth.
You would definitely be surprised at how much dirt can collect on your face throughout the day, which Anne French pulls straight off. I use this product twice a day and you can still see on the cotton wool that my face can get dirty during the day. This product can also be used to take makeup off which it does do very well. Instead of paying a lot of money for makeup remover I just use Anne French as it moisturises at the same time.
I bought these shoes a few months ago from the Adidas Clearance store for £12 and then saw them in a sports shop a few weeks later selling for £60, so I got a very good bargain.
These shoes have very thick laces but they it is still easy to pull them tight. The sole of the shoe is not particularly supportive so these should only be worn for leisure purposes and not exercising. They are very girly and they come in white and pink. These shoes don't have the inbuilt support that the Adidas running shoes have but then again they aren't made for running.
One bad point to note is that I find the design of these shoes makes them slip off the back of my heel. However, I can still wear them as long as they are pulled very tightly.
This type of trainer also comes in men's colours and sizes which are sold at many different sports shops and the official Adidas website.
I would recommend these trainers because they are very comfortable and they seem to be long lasting although I haven't worn them much. They do seem to be a very solid shoe that will last a long time.
I bought these shoes in an online sale and got them for £35 instead of £70. I bought them for the summer so that I could walk on the beach and easily tip the sand out of them.
These are very comfortable despite the toe separator which doesn't really affect wearing these shoes. They aren't the most aesthetically pleasing shoes, but they are fairly practical on a summer holiday. They have a very comfortable and bouncy sole so they are nice to wear for long periods of time.
I have owned these shoes for a few years now and I've never had any problems with them. They have stayed pretty much the same colour and they still look fairly new.
These shoes fasten by velcro on the top and velcro on the back of the heel, however, I only need to undo the velcro on the top of the foot to take the shoes on and off. I wouldn't recommend these shoes for dance classes as they don't provide the proper support that your feet need which could cause problems later on. I would recommend them more for leisure wear.
It's a shame that the shops don't sell these shoes any more as they used to be very popular shoes. I would definitely recommend these shoes.
I bought this knee support for when I figure skate and dance because sometimes my knees can be quite painful. This knee support was fairly cheap at around £10 when I bought it a few months ago and it's worth the money. This support is made by York Fitness which has made many high quality products over the years and it is a brand I will definitely stick with.
This knee support is made from a neoprene material which keeps the sore muscle warm and allows the blood to keep flowing to this area when you are exercising. The material is nice and soft and the support fits tightly around your leg which provides comfort and support.
This support is perfect if you have twisted, sprained or get pains in your knee. The knee support has extra padding on the middle of the knee section which gives the knee extra support and provides a barrier so that if anything knocks your knee it is still protected. This support isn't very bulky but you can see it through tight trousers. If you wear loose trousers you don't notice that you have it on.
I would recommend this knee support for the price because it does provide excellent relief from pain.
My family and I bought two of these cases as we were going on holiday about a year ago. We bought a small one for my sister and then a big one for the rest of the family (can't remember the actual inch measurements). These cases were fairly cheap and you can now get a set of 4 for £50. However, they don't look massively cheap.
The quality of them isn't too bad, however, the zip does tend to stick on one of them. This could just be a fault with one case because the zip is fine on the other one. Although the zips on both cases aren't the smoothest that I've ever seen.
The cases are fairly lightweight and they have a strap inside so that you can attach it over your clothes. This means that if your case gets thrown about at the airport or in the car your clothes will still stay nice and neat. The wheels are fairly good and the handle is a good length for people that are slightly taller. These cases also come with a lock which is good if you don't have one spare. They are quite small locks though so they probably could be easily broken.
I bought this on a trip out after my dad told me that I should get one. I drink a lot of coffee and I like the taste of the real stuff as opposed to instant coffee.
This cafetiere was fairly cheap, I think it cost around £10 when I bought it a while ago. It is also very simple to use. All you have to do is pour in how much coffee you want and then fill it with water. You have to wait a few minutes for some of the coffee to dissolve and for it to develop its taste. Then all you have to do is press the plunger down, but it needs to be done slowly so that you collect all the coffee granules in the mesh underneath the plunger. Then just pour into a mug and add milk if required.
It is quite fiddly to clean because it is quite hard getting into all the little spaces that the coffee granules can do. The cafetiere is quite small so it doesn't take up a big amount of space and it can just be left in a cupboard if you want it out of the way. It also looks quite stylish with the black plastic, which doesn't look cheap.
I would definitely recommend it for someone that loves coffee.
I bought a pair of these to replace my broken Apple earphones. They were on sale in a music shop so I thought I would give them a try.
They look fairly good but they do feel like they are made cheaply, they feel like cheap plastic. However, I have had these for a while and they haven't broken and both earphones still work. They have volume control on the wire which always seems to slip down to minimum volume when I'm wearing them, so quite often I have to keep turning the volume back up. I'm not sure whether this is just a fault with my pair or whether this is a widespread problem.
These work well with my iPod and produce a decent sound quality although they aren't as good as my Apple earphones. The wire is a good length, although perhaps a little too long but it can just be put in a pocket.
These earphones are quite big and they tend to fall out of my ears quite a bit. So I would say they aren't particularly good for people with small ears on the inside.
I bought these headphones to use for my electric drumkit and my guitar but I have used them to listen to music on my iPod aswell.
They have a very long wire which can get in the way so you have to tuck a lot of it into your pocket. They are also very bulky and stick out quite a bit from your ears. The earcups themselves are quite padded and they do not feel uncomfortable when you have them on for a long period of time. Also, the headband at the top of the headphone doesn't have any padding, however, it doesn't really need to as it doesn't hurt my head in the slightest.
The headphones are of an average weight and they have a fairly good sound quality although I do own over ear headphones that are a lot better. They have quite good build quality though, I have owned them for a few years and they still look brand new. They also came with a small jack so that you can plug the headphones into things like guitar amps and drumkits which is very useful. The headphones have volume control on the wire so you can turn your music up.
I would definitely recommend these headphones as they are cheap and are great for things like plugging into amps etc.
I bought this moisturiser after it was recommended to me by both my mum and my friend. It is quite an expensive moisturiser but it is definitely worth the money.
It was bought to replace my old Vaseline moisturiser which doesn't have anywhere near the same effect as E45. My skin can sometimes be quite dry but E45 softens it up really well and it makes your skin feel very fresh and clean. I use this as part of daily grooming routine alongside Anne French and combined they maker your skin very clean and soft.
E45 can also be used on sensitive skin. I have quite sensitive skin and I find normally that anything that says it is good for sensitive skin irritates it even more. However, I have used E45 for a while now and I have never had any problems with it. It also has a very nice fresh and clean smell to it.
I would definitely recommend this product because I am very impressed with how nice it makes your skin feel.
I have very thick, naturally wavy hair that I always straighten. These straighteners go up to a very high heat so they are effective for thick hair. Although I do have to go over each piece I've straightened about 5 times so that it's straight.
These straighteners have a cord that spins around so the wire doesn't get caught, it moves around with you. The wire is long enough so that you can stand quite a way away from the mains. These straighteners are black and have gold plates so they look quite nice, and they do look expensive. I have used them for a while but they don't seem to have lost any of their original colour or show any signs of starting to fade. They do seem as they have a good build quality that will last for years. Their stylish look makes them look more expensive and of better quality than other standard hair straighteners on the market.
These straighteners can be used for different hairstyles, so you can use them to create bouncy curls or just for regular straight hair. When you first plug them in, they have a red light and after around ten to twenty seconds the red light starts to flash and they make a small beeping noise so you know that they are hot enough for you to use.
I do think these straighteners were quite expensive for what they are really. I have used some that are just as good and they are a lot less in price. I basically think you are just paying for the GHD brand.
My parents bought me this as a christmas present. I have owned iPods most of my life because I have always been a fan of how they work.
The Apple app store has got so many apps that go onto your iPod and a lot of them are free! The free apps are good quality and you can spend hours just playing on your iPod. It provides a lot of space so you can have music, games and a few films on there if you happen to go on a long journey.
The iPod features a camera and a video recorder, which are both fantastic additions. The camera can be used for 'Facetime' where you can talk to people via video. This is a pretty popular idea and it is used by many people.
The touch screen is brilliant and it works very well without you having to press really hard like on some touch screens. The bad thing about this though is that you can only use your fingers, you can't use a stylus. There are some styluses that claim they work but I have tried them and you have to press really hard and they don't always work. Another bad things is that it gets covered in fingerprints. However, Apple do provide a very useful cleaning cloth for when this happens.
A fantastic feature of the iPod Touch is that it has a rechargeable battery so you can either plug it into the mains or plug it into your computer. Therefore you don't have to spend a fortune on batteries like on old mp3 players. It is very easy to transfer pictures and music etc across to the computer, however you do need iTunes which may be a problem for some people. The battery life is also very good.
I would definitely recommend the iPod Touch, it makes a great gift for somebody that loves music.
I bought this camera a little over a year ago. It was the first digital camera that I'd ever owned, normally I use my phone. I bought it from Asda where it was £60 so it was very cheap compared to the £119.00 that it is supposed to cost everywhere else.
My camera came in a shiny black, it came with a CD for the software, a charger and a USB cable. The camera is very small and lightweight. It has all the usual things you would expect it to have such as flash and zoom. The camera is 12.2 megapixels and it gives clear definition. There aren't too many settings to fiddle about with like on a high end camera so it is very easy to use. However, you can give your pictures different effects using the features on the camera.
The zoom is pretty good and it still gives you a clear picture. I have taken quite a few pictures with this camera and they have all turned out brilliantly. It is very easy to transfer your pictures over from your camera and onto the computer. The camera comes with a strap so that you can have the camera around your wrist so you don't lose it.
Overall, I would recommend this camera because it has taken some fantastic shots. It was most definitely worth the money I paid for it and more.
I bought this netbook as it seemed a good alternative to my heavy laptop. I bought it from Asda and I got a free case with it which I am very happy with.
I needed a computer that I could take to university that was small and lightweight instead of carrying my laptop round. The netbook only comes with Windows 7 starter which is of no use. I tried installing Microsoft Word but whenever I open a word document it continues to open in the starter edition.
It is also very slow. It turns on and off quickly enough but when you are on the internet it is incredibly slow. I expected a lot better quality from Samsung. Another bad thing about this netbook is that it doesn't have a CD or DVD drive and the screen quality is not too good.
The only good thing about this netbook is that the battery life is fantastic. I can sit and use it for hours and the battery only runs down a little bit.
I wouldn't really recommend this netbook because it runs far too slow and it is just not good quality.
This is a very low priced item that I bought to replace my Packard Bell keyboard which had a lot more features on it (but was a lot more expensive). I tend to use my laptop more so I bought the Asda keyboard because it was very cheap. The keyboard comes in pretty plain packaging and the keyboard itself doesn't have any logo on it.
The keyboard comes in a plain back colour which doesn't fade over time. It has all the keys that you would expect on a more expensive keyboard and has LED lights for the caps and num lock buttons.
This keyboard doesn't come with all the internet buttons that would come on a more expensive keyboard, but you obviously wouldn't expect it to. It also seems to be quite sturdily made and not as cheap feeling as I expected it to be. The keyboard has two bits of plastic underneath so you can have the keyboard flat or tilted towards you. It just plugs into a USB port and then it works straight away, no installation necessary.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this keyboard for anyone that wants a regular keyboard for everyday use.
