I am a little glad that it is no longer as hot as it has been, yes I will miss the BBQ's, and days out in the sun with the kids, but there is only so much heat I can take, and I must admit I have had my lot. But saying that I have enjoyed it, and so have my children, and it was this year that I first decided to buy myself some sunglasses.
Once I had bought my sunglasses, two things happened, one is that I felt really cool, probably cooler than I actually am, and the second thing was that my daughter would not leave them alone, so I decided, the best way to stop her messing with mine, would be to buy her a pair of her own, and they will protect her eyes as well. This is when the pink Peppa Pig glasses came into the picture, I saw them whilst doing the weekly shopping and instantly knew that my daughter would love them, so I popped them in the trolly, ready to take home for her.
My three main reasons for buying these sunglasses were one, my daughter still loves Peppa Pig, so I knew she would love the style of these glasses, two, my daughter loves pink, so the colour was perfect, and three, they are sunglasses which have a UV400 rating, any glasses which have UV400 rating are perfect for the protection of children's eyes, from the sunshine.
These glasses have the Peppa Pig logo on the side of them, they are pink, and very girly, but not to grown up at the same time, I think these glasses look great for little girls, and my daughter thinks so as well, because since I bought them for her, she has left my one's alone, which is great for me. Since buying these sunglasses for my daughter she has made good use of them, and really enjoys wearing them, even inside, around the house, I think, she thinks, that she looks cool, which she does, so this purchase was win win for me.
I am hoping we get another summer or two out of these lovely Peppa Pig glasses, the glasses themselves are certainly good quality, and should easily last, but it comes down to whether or not my daughter can keep from breaking them, as she does tend to break a lot of her stuff these days.
These glasses are a product which come highly recommended from me, they have the UV400 protection, and are a perfect style for little girls, especially one's who love Peppa Pig, and for the price of £5, they are great value for your money.
You can get these from good supermarkets such as Tesco and Asda, and I have also seen them in Mothercare, or you can pick them up online, these Peppa Pig sunglasses are a great buy for your little girl.
I have used these Savlon Ant-septic wipes from time to time, I must admit, they are not a regularly purchase for me, but I do use them from time to time. My main reason for buying these, is probably because of there brand, Savlon cream is something I always have in my medicine box at home, and is a product I can remember being around as far back as I can remember, which is probably why I sometimes buy these wipes.
But they are handy to have when I do buy them, they can be used for many different reasons, as I have two children, these wipes come in handy to clean messy faces up. And as they also contain antiseptic and are alcohol free, they also come in handy to treat any little accidents my children may have whilst out and about, as the antiseptic will clean and keep infections away, from any little cuts or scrapes.
Each of these Savlon wipes is individually sealed, and this ensures that, they will not dry out, dried out wet wipes can be a real problem, with other wipes I have used. These wipes are a little on the expensive side, and it will cost you around £1.90, for ten wipes, so not really good value for your money, which is the real reason why I do not buy these more often.
But when it comes to the brand Savlon, you can be sure of one thing, you will be getting good quality product from them, Savlon is a trusted, and well respected brand, which has been making products, which people love for years. You can not fail to notice this is a Savlon brand, as the packet has the colours, and the same style as the famous cream, it is the exact same colour blue, with the white Savlon writing on the front.
Ingredients : Each tissue is impregnated with Aqua, Centrimo-nium Bromide, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.
These wipes are great around the house for keeping things clean and germ free, and also great for taking out, especially if you have kids, they are light, and pack away into your bag easily. They are really quite moist when took out, and are without a doubt, a high quality wet wipe, which are convenient to use. These wipes can be bought from chemists, all good supermarkets or online, they are good little wet wipes, but might not be for people shopping on a budget.
If you like the sound of these wet wipes, then remember, keep them out of reach of any children, and never use them around somebody's eyes. I recommend these wipes as a product worth buying, but have knocked a star off, due to them being a little over priced.
As far back as I can remember is how long I have been using Bonjela, it is a product which is always safely tucked away in a medicine box ready to come out when needed. Mouth ulcers are horrible to have, and when they come there is no mistaking that they are there, as the irritating lumps on the tongue feel ten times the size than they actually are.
When I first notice a mouth ulcer I will run my tongue across my teeth, and as my teeth touch the ulcer I could swear I have a lump in my mouth which is as big pea, yet ulcers are relatively small, like little spots in the mouth. I wouldn't say ulcers are painful, more irritating, but the irritation can be quite unbearable, like a itch which will not go away, so as soon as I get a ulcer I like to treat it the best way I can.
For starters I will swill my mouth, with lukewarm, salt water, then I like to treat it with Bonjela, but not the old Bonjela I used to use, but the new and improved Bonjela Complete Plus. I bought this Bonjela whilst doing the weekly shopping, I did not actually need it that day as I had no ulcers in my mouth, but I new that I was running out of Bonjela at home, so when I saw this new Bonjela Complete Plus I liked the look of it, and decided I might as well stock up for future ulcer problems.
With the old Bonjela's I used, it was standard practice to apply some to a clean finger and rub it on where you needed it to be, but this changed with the newer Bonjela, although you still can apply with the finger, there is now a small applicator which comes with this product, and this applicator allows you to hit the exact and precise area which requires attention.
In my opinion the newer Bonjela Complete Plus is much better than the older version, when I used to apply the older Bonjela I would notice it would not stay on for very long, it did not have any staying power. But this newer version of Bonjela is a very different product all together, it states and I have found it to be true, that it works just like a plaster, it will create a protective barrier around the area it is applied too, and covers and sticks just like a plaster.
It will protect your mouth ulcers for up to four hours, whilst soothing the irritation and pain caused by the ulcers, helping the healing process. This product has a local analgesic and anti inflammatory agent, which soothes and relieves pain, as well as a anti-bacterial agent to help infection. This is a brilliant product which once applied really does last up to four hours, and also does help in every way which it claims, after using this newer version I would not like to go back to using the older Bonjela.
This Bonjela Complete plus will cost you around £6.50, this is not a huge sum of money, especially when you consider that it will last you a long time. It can be bought from chemist and supermarkets as well as shops such as Boots or Superdrug, or you can pick it up online, this is a product I highly recommend for helping with mouth ulcers.
I hate having a sore throat, but when it happens I do like to buy some of these soothers to help me along, I have been buying soothers for years, and I remember when I was younger, I used to even buy these occasionally for no other reason than I liked how they tasted.
Over the years these soothers have always done a great job at helping me along, they are not a miracle cure, but they do soothe a sore throat enough to notice, and help out whilst suffering with a bad throat. These soothers come an four flavours which I no of, such as, strawberry, blackcurrant, peach and raspberry and cherry, cherry or blackcurrant are the one's which I usually buy.
These are not known as sweets but as Lozengers, they have a strong smell to them, they smell strongly of which ever flavour you choose and when sucked they release a soothing sensation down the throat which instantly helps any sore throat problems. Each Lozenger comes in its own wrapper, and on the wrapper is a picture of a fruit, the fruit will be the same as the flavour of the Lozenger you have chosen, and the colour of the actual Lozenger wIll also be the same colour as your chosen fruit.
It is like sucking on a hard sweet, when you first put these Lozengers into your mouth, but after not to long it will get soft and crunchy as you get to the soft center, there, there is liquid, and it is this liquid that really helps soothe your sore throat. This liquid is the reason I used to buy these Lozengers as sweets when I was younger, as it really tastes great, strong but not to over powering of whatever flavour you choose.
Soothers cost around 45 pence and you get ten of them, and that's a very cheap price for helping out a sore throat, I have tried other brands of cough sweets in order to help any sore throats I have had, but have always found these particular one's to be the best, as they have always done a wonderful job at helping me along.
For anybody who has not tried out these Lozengers yet, then they come highly recommended from me, they not only taste great, but are also brilliant at helping your sore throat, so they get the full five stars from me. You can buy these soothers from almost anywhere, supermarkets, chemists, newsagents, corner shops or even online. These are a brand and product which has been around for a long time, and on the strength of these sweets it is not hard to see why, they really do, do a great job.
I buy these tissues every now and again but not all the time, the reason for this is because we do not really have the need for them, but when I am going to buy a pack of tissues due to somebody in my household having a cold, then I do like to get decent one's. So it is usually these tissues which I end up purchasing when we need them, Kleenex Balsam, they are a high quality tissue and a trusted a brand.
These tissues come in a card board box, with a rectangle shape in the middle, this rectangle can be torn off leaving a plastic cover which has a slit in it, where you can pull out the tissues, making them more hygienic to use. The box colour is a blend of yellow, green and blue.
On the box it explains how these tissues are slimmer and smaller than ordinary tissues, yet the box still holds the same amount of tissues as your average pack, there is also other information on the box, and it tells how these tissues will soothe your nose. These tissues are very strong and durable and there is no worries about ripping them during use, due to there high quality and the thickness of them.
They are plain white tissues of a good size, so there is nothing to fancy about them, and one of the reasons I still buy this brand is because of how soft they are, they feel lovely on your nose, especially when it is irritated due to a cold. A good thing about these tissues is that they are dermatologically tested, they help to protect the skin and help to keep your nose from going red, they even contain within them a protective barm containing Calendula, and it is this which will help to protect your skin.
Although these tissues are the first I choose for me and my family whilst somebody has a cold, they are not a product which I would consider buying regularly, this is not really down to price but because other than helping with colds, I do not really have any other use for them. But when somebody does have a cold or runny nose, then these tissues are fantastic, you can feel the protective balm working, and they do, do a fantastic job at soothing a sore and red nose.
I usually get these tissues from Tesco, and they usually cost me about 2.50 for 80 tissues, if I am not mistaken, they are a little expensive for a box of tissues which is probably a contributing fact to my minimum use of them, but on the other hand they have never failed in making mine and my children's noses better when suffering with colds. I can recommend these tissues as a tissue which are high quality, and they do the job they say they will do.
Savlon Anti-septic cream is a product which I have always got hidden away and ready for use, the amount of different things you can use this cream for is great. You can use it for lots of different treatments, such as sunburn, chapped skin, nappy rashes, spots, sores and cuts and grazes, and I am sure there are plenty more things you can use it for.
A wonderful fact about Savlon, is that it can be used on people of all ages, there are no age restrictions when using this product, so I often treat my own children with it. Savlon easily absorbs into the skin, but should always be applied by clean hands, so it is important to wash your hands before using this product. It may sting a little when first applied, depending on the nature of the problem that you are using it for, but the sting will soon mellow down as the cooling effect of this cream will then clean and disinfect any sore, rash or cut you use it on.
I often use this cream on my children, now they are getting bigger, they love to play in the garden, but the garden can be a dangerous place for youngsters, so I often have to get the trusted Savlon out to treat some minor problems. My daughter already knows what she needs when she has a little accident, and will come to me saying, "mummy I need the Savon", no not a spelling mistake this is what she calls it.
Like any other medical product, you should always read the ingredients and instructions which are provided with it, just to make sure your not going to get a allergic reaction to something which it contains. Also, although this can be used on children, should still be kept somewhere out of the reach of youngsters, and should be stored above 25 Degrees Celsius, and should NOT be used after it has expired, so always check the expiry date.
I got this product in a small box, with a leaflet inside, and of course the plastic tube of savlon. which has a screw on lid, it works as toothpaste does, just squeeze the tube and the cream will come out. The savlon tube is blue in colour with the white Savlon sign printed across the front, and the screw on lid is white in colour. I would not be without Savlon, and I make sure I always have some in my medical tin, which is on top of the cupboard out of reach of the children.
I pick my Savlon up whilst doing the weekly shopping from either Tesco or Asda,I get a 30g tube but I do not buy it very often, because one tube lasts me along time, sometimes it can last the year, and for approximately £2.20 that is great value for your money. Savlon a cream which I highly recommend.
To be honest I do not really like taking painkillers, I don't mind swallowing them I just don't really like putting them in my body. Sometimes though I do have to give in, as from time to time I tend to get headaches which are very painful, and when I do I need the assistance of pain killers to help me with the pain.
As I never really know when one of the major headaches is going occur, I like to always have some pain killers hidden away and on hand, ready to help, so I always have a packet of Ibuprofen somewhere. I do not really buy the expensive pain killers any more, this is because the cheaper versions have worked so well in the past, I do not see the point in wasting money, especially as the cheaper pain killers seem to work every bit as good as the more expensive brands.
Ibuprofen is my first choice when it comes to buying pain killers, I used to buy Paracetamol but over the years I have taken to buying Ibuprofen, they have done such a good job at taking away my pain that I have now stuck with buying this brand. These tablets come in a small grey box, with the red Ibuprofen written across the front, it is a simple design which is well suited for a medical product, and has a small leaflet inside with instructions for use. Children could get into this box of tablets very easy, so it is a good idea to keep them up somewhere high where children will not be able to reach them, and this product specifies that they are not suitable for anybody under the age of 12.
Ibuprofen is known as a non steriodal anti-inflammatory drug, it it used for pain relief, swelling as well as fever reduction, but there are lots of reasons for taking these tablets, such as muscle pains, aches, swellings, sprains, cold and flu symptoms or dental pain. If you are suffering with pain then you can take two Ibuprofen tablets every fours hours, it is important you do not take more tablets than this as it could be dangerous and there may well be side effects, they are swallowed with water or on there own if you prefer.
I can personally recommend these tablets, they have always done a wonderful job at helping me along with any pain, I have now been using Ibuprofen for a few years when I have needed too, and they are now my first choice when it comes to pain killers. I get these from Tesco whilst doing my shopping, and for 30 pence a pack, these tablets are great value for money, especially as they do such a great job.
Dettol is a product which I can remember seeing around and being used since I was a young girl, my mother sometimes even used Dettol when I had little accidents in the garden, she swore it would help my cuts and grazes to not get infected, and the truth is they never did.
More recently I have used Dettol in my own household, no not for my children's cuts but for cleaning, and it does a wonderful job at keeping my home safe and germ free for my children. Dettol comes in a clear plastic bottle, and has a white screw on lid which closes very tight keeping the contents safely in the bottle, it has the Dettol sign printed clearly on the front of the bottle with some of its uses underneath
the Dettol sign.
This product is only for external use and should never find its way into anybody's body, some of the uses stated for this product are that it can be used for first aid, personal hygiene, medical or cleaning. Dettol is a concentrated liquid solution and is also anti-septic which is the reason it works so well on stopping infections for minor wounds. I use this product mostly for mopping my floors at home, a couple of caps diluted into a hot bucket of water, will make the perfect blend for getting rid of germs in your home.
Dettol has a very distinguished smell, and every time I use it I am taken a back to my childhood, this solution always reminds me of hospitals as well. The instructions that Dettol comes with states very clearly that it should never be used undiluted, so we do need to be careful when using it, also do not get it in your eyes or maybe the most obvious, never drink it. There is also a warning for people who have pets, if you are using Dettol for cleaning the floors as I do, then be sure to make sure any pets are out of the way, and that they stay out of the way, until all floors and surfaces are completely dry.
This is a really great product in my opinion, and can be used for many different useful things, I do not personally use this for cuts and grazes, as now there are much better products for this available, but I do still use it for creating a clean and friendly environment inside my home. What I no of, you can buy Dettol in four different sizes, 250ml, 500ml, 750ml or you can get the king size version which is a massive 4 litre's, I personally buy mine from the local super market whilst doing the shopping and pay about £2.50 for a 500 ml bottle.
For the amount of time it lasts compared to the price it costs, I would say that this product is really great value for your money.
Not so long ago I was hit with a terrible cold, I really hate getting the flu and struggle to get through the day looking after my two children when I do, so I do like to try products which promise to help relieve that horrible flu and cold feeling.
I have tried lots of cold and flu products over the years, but when I recently came down with the flu, I bought a packet of Lemsip Max Blackcurrent Flavour Tablets, these are quite a new product, and being desperate to feel better I got home as soon as I could to give them a try. These tablets have been designed to help symptoms like headaches, blocked noses, sore throats, fevers and all manners of pains and aches, they are quite a versatile product as they can be dissolved or swallowed, and I opted to just swallow them quickly.
In each tablet they contain 500mg of paracetamol and 6.1mg of Phenylephrine Hydrochloride, these tablets are not suitable for children under the age of 12, and adults should take no more than two, every four to six hours. They come in a green and red box, with Lemsip printed across the front, and you can find directions for use, ingredients and warnings on the back of the box, and there is more information about them inside the box should you need it.
Like I said I swallowed them, instead of dissolving them, but these tablets are a little bigger than most others, so people who struggle with swallowing tablets, may struggle swallowing these, but not to worry as they can be dissolved in hot water and drank. On taking these tablets it did not take long for my cold
symptoms to calm down, my nose stopped being runny, and my sore throat started feeling better, this may have been down to the Halls sweets I was also eating, and my aches and pains slowly cooled off.
By time it all started to come back, and I again started to feel terrible, I was only forty five minutes away
from being able to take two more tablets, so they really did do a great job at helping me beat my symptoms, and have a all around better day. I can not explain in words the relief I felt when these tablets kicked in and started to work, with my boyfriend at work, and my two young children to look after,
these tablets gave me some very welcome assistance.
So next time I am suffering with cold or flu symptoms, I will certainly be picking up a packet of these
to help me through the day, I got them from Superdrug and they cost me about £3, for a pack of twelve, which is such a cheap price to feel better. A product highly recommended.
From time to time but not to often, I tend to get some indigestion and heartburn, its really horrible when I do get it and is usually just before bed time at nights. My boyfriend has suffered terribly with heartburn, and for the eight years we have been in a relationship, I can always remember him using Gaviscon to treat his heartburn problems. And it was watching my boyfriend use Gaviscon which first led to me using it myself, luckily for me I do not suffer with heartburn too much, like my boyfriend, and when I do suffer with it, sometimes a glass of milk will be all that I need to take away the horrible sensation inside my body.
But for when milk just is not good enough and is not helping, then I will take these Gaviscon tablets to help sooth and relieve me of heartburn. Also I tended to take these when I was pregnant with both of my children, I suffered terrible heartburn when I was pregnant and these tablets being safe for expecting mums to take, were a blessing and a big help in making me feel better.
I often pick up a packet of Gaviscon tablets, due to my boyfriend needing them quite regularly, and I myself like to have them around, just in case, and when I buy them I usually pick them up from the local supermarket whilst doing my weekly shopping. I pay a little bit short of £2 for them and get 32 tablets, the most recent Gaviscon tablets I have been buying are strawberry flavoured, I have used Rennie's on occasion but as my boyfriend says, Gaviscon are much better for helping heartburn.
These gaviscon tabs come in a blue packet, and come in a chewable tablet form, they do not contain suger and should not be used by anybody under the age of twelve, just like any medical products you should always read the directions for use and instructions before taking.
Ingredients : Red Iron Oxide (E172), Strawberry Cream Flavour, Sodium Alginate 250mg, Sodium Bicarbonate 133.5mg , Calcium Carbonate 80mg, Mannitol (E421), Macrogol 20,000 , Aspartame (E951), Magnesium Stearate, Xylitol and Carmellose Sodium.
These tablets have never let me down in dealing with indigestion and heartburn problems and my boyfriend could not live without them, but to any expectant mothers suffering with heartburn, then these Gaviscon tablets could be a real help to you. I highly recommend this product as they do exactly what you buy them for, and offer fast releif to uncomfortable indigestion and heartburn problems.
Sudocrem is a product which I can remember being around most of my life, my mother would use it on me, my aunties, uncle's and friends have used it on there kids, and I have used it on my own children.
Sudocrem comes in a little grey tub with a screw on lid, and has a red, white and blue lable, on the label at the front of the tub, there is a list of the things you can use Sudocrem cream for. The great thing about Sudocrem is the number of uses you can get out of it, I used to use it a lot more when my children were a little younger, and I would use it for everything, from bites to sores but mostly for nappy rashes, my mother was the same, she used it for everything.
Sudocrem is a anti-septic, and this cream contains a mild anesthetic to help any pains or soreness, and also contains benzyl benzoate and benzyl cinnamate which also has some healing properties. The list of things you can use this cream for includes cuts and grazes, minor burns, sun burn, treating the elderly and nappy rashes, it does not sting when applied to the skin, and will reduce risk of infections and help to soothe any pain.
The Sudocrem cream is white in colour, and when applied to your skin this cream does not absorb right in straight away, it sits on the surface whilst healing and helping whatever problem you are using it for. It has a medical smell about it which s not to strong or over powering, but the smell itself is unique and once you have smelled it once, you can not fail to remember that distinctive aroma.
You can buy this cream in a few different sizes, ranging from the 60g tub to the 400g, if you do decide to pick one of the big one's up, then it will last you for a long time because a little bit goes a long way with this cream, a big tub would last the year, at least for me. You can pick Sudocrem up from all over the place, supermarkets sell it, chemists or shops like Superdrug and Boots, or you can even pick it up online.
Just like any other medicines you may take, it would be wise to read through the leaflet which comes included with your Sudocrem, as there is a possibility of suffering side effects if you have allergens. I think
Sudocrem is a product which everybody should have, especially us who have children, it has many great uses and will last a long time, the amount of time you will get out of it, makes it great value for money, I highly recommend this cream. I get mine when shopping at the local supermarket and usually pay £6 for it.
In my last review on dooyoo I wrote about the sun cream which I have been using on my children, during our recent heat wave in England, so today I thought I would review the sun lotion which I have been using myself. Aloe Pura Organic Aloe Vera SPF15 Sun Lotion is the lotion which I have been using, I decided to go with this one, because my sister in law told me that this was a really good sun lotion and it was the one she was using, after hearing how good it was, I decided to pick up some myself and give it a try.
This sun lotion has four stars for UVA protection and as well as having aloe vera, it also contains jojoba and chamomile, and a great thing is that all products which are within this range are colour and perfume free, which was a the deal breaker in me buying this lotion. The lotion that I bought came in a 200ml squeezy tube, and has a screw on lid, I would have preferred a flip lid really because I think they are easier to use, especially when out and about and busy with the children, but its not really a problem as it is still easy to use.
The lotion itself is a thick texture, but once applied it does blend in to the skin really well, so do not be put off by the thick texture of the lotion as it absorbs much better than most other lotions I have tried, even one's with a thinner texture. The smell of this lotion is not to overpowering either, which is great for me as it leaves me able to put other things on my body such as perfume and deodorant without the smells blending together into one big horrible smell.
One of the main reasons why I have continued to use this lotion through out the summer is because of how it feels once I have applied it, unlike other lotions which have tended to leave my skin feeling oily and uncomfortable, this one, once applied absorbs in fast leaving me unaware I am actually wearing it. This is a great sun lotion in my opinion, I have been using it now for over four weeks and there is still more than half the bottle left, so I would say you get your money's worth, even though we have been experiencing one big heat wave, I am yet to be burned by the sun, so this lotion has certainly been doing its job.
When it comes to sun lotions this one is not the cheapest, but it is also no where near the most expensive one on the market either, I paid £10.17 for this item and got it off Amazon but it is sold in chemists and shops such as Holland and Barrett as well.
I highly recommend this lotion, it does a wonderful job at protecting your skin from the sun and also lasts well.
Due to the increasing hot whether in Britain, I needed a good sun cream in order to protect my children from the hot sun, I wanted to get a decent sun protector for my two young children, and after reading a great review about the Nivea sun baby sun cream online, I decided to pick a bottle up from Asda whilst doing my weekly shopping.
The bottle which this sun cream comes in is a light blue, I thought the bottle looked really attractive when I purchased this sun cream and was surprised I hadn't picked it out before. I picked up a 200ml bottle which has a flip on lid, this sun cream is a easy to use, squeezy bottle which is very easy to carry around, it fits into your bag easily and can be carried around without even knowing it is there.
You only need to use a small amount of the sun cream when applying it, as it spreads in to the skin well, it makes for a quick and easy task, at protecting my two children from the sun. You get good use out of this bottle of sun cream, I bought this product around four and a half weeks ago, and have used it on a daily basis more than once a day, and I am surprised to see that I still have over half the bottle left, so this sun cream is great value for money, and you certainly get your money's worth.
When I have applied this cream to either of my children, you can see the shininess on there skin where the cream is, but it is in no way sticky or uncomfortable for the child, it does not bother them in any way, leaving them free to enjoy the sunny days.
We have had a massive heat wave in England recently and my children have spent most of there time playing in it, and thanks to this brilliant sun cream, neither of my children have had sunburn, which makes me extremely happy, as watching my children suffering with sun burn would be a horrible experience, and one which would leave me feeling very guilty indeed. Another wonderful thing about this cream is the fact that it is water resistant, my children love to paddle in the paddling pool whilst we are outside in the garden, and this cream allows me not to be reapplying it all day due to the water resistance.
Like I said I got this cream from Asda whilst doing the weekly shopping and it cost me £5, I think it is great value for money and a brilliant children's sun cream, if you are worried about your child or
children getting sun burnt, then this is a cream I am going to highly recommend as a brilliant sun cream.
When we moved into our new house a few months back, the big back garden gave me a chance to get rid of some of my boyfriends stuff out of the house, things like tools or a place to store other things such as deck chairs and lawn mowers. But first we needed to buy something for all this stuff to go in, so it was decided on getting a shed for the back garden.
We looked around all over the internet looking for the best shed to buy at the best price, and it was at Ebay that we recently found one which we liked at a price we thought was reasonable, the shed we got was the single door pent shed.
This shed looked perfect for us as the structure looked strong, it was not to big and had a shape that appealed to not just me but my boyfriend as well. After we had ordered the shed and it arrived it was not my job to put it up, but my boyfriends and his brother came along to help, it came in sections and they said that it was most certainly a two person job but reasonably easy to put together.
After the shed had been put up I went outside to check it out, and it looked great, modern with its own particular style, all the sections had been put together perfectly and there was no way any rain could get inside, so I was happy the stuff we were going to store in it would remain dry, safe and not get rusty. I was extremely happy with the smooth wood this shed was built of, the new wood smell and the fact it looked fantastic all helped to make me happy about our new investment.
It is a decent size shed as well, due to putting all my boyfriends tools in there, the BBQ and the garden deck chairs, there wasn't quite room for the bikes but that was fine as I got everything else in there that I wanted. If you are not into the wood look, then you could paint this shed to a colour that suits you, but I was myself happy to just leave it as it is, but after a bit of time passes and it doesn't look as new as it once did, I may consider painting my shed and changing the way it looks.
Overall I was completely happy with my purchase of the single door pent shed, it looked great with plenty of space inside, which allows me to store plenty of stuff in it and all at a reasonable price. If anybody is in need of a shed to store some stuff in, then I can highly recommend this shed, as one well worth buying.
This shed cost us £280 and it was worth every penny.
With the wonderful whether kicking into action a few weeks ago, I decided I could not put off mowing the back garden grass any longer, and so asked my mother in law if she could bring up her lawn mower on one of her Sunday visits. The grass was starting to get a bit long, so this was a job for my boyfriend, but when he started to do the grass something went wrong with the lawn mower, it first started to smell of smoke, then it just completely broke.
The mother in law was nice about the fact that we had broken her lawn mower but we still felt bad, and we decided to to buy her one back and at the same time buy ourselves one as well, as we had only done about half the back garden which left it looking terrible. As we now needed to buy two machines which could cut grass we wanted to get them as cheap as we could and after looking online, decided to go for two trimmers, and it was the Bosch ART Easytrim which we ended up getting off Aamzon.
This Strimmer once it arrived was really easy to put up and we had no trouble with it all, except maybe it takes a little bit of strength to click the plastic bits where they need to be, and once we had clicked on the guard it was time to give it a try. With 10 meters of cable line I did have to get the extension out in order to reach all the area's of my garden, but when using this Strimmer I found it do a brilliant job, it just glided through the grass and was very easy to handle and control.
My only problem with this Strimmer is the same problem I have always had with Strimmer's, and that is due to there size I always get terrible back ache when cutting the grass, this was no exception, and after bending over for half an hour whilst cutting the grass, I got a horrible back ache.

I have now used this Strimmer a few times, probably more than I need too but I am determined to not let my grass get in the state that it was, and so far this Bosch strimmer has done a great job. I have so far been extremely happy with the performance that I have got out of this Strimmer, and when asking my mother in law how she found her new Strimmer which we had bought for her, she was under the same thinking as me, and that is that this is great little Strimmer, that does a wonderful job and all for a great price.
Like I already said we bought this strimmer off of Amazon, it cost us £21 which is a really reasonable price I though, especially as it does a great job. So to anybody needing to buy something to cut the grass with, I recommend you get this, as the price is great and it does a fantastic job.
