Working in an office environment I'm often trying to vary my lunch choices which are easy enough to do at work and also are easy enough to eat at my desk. I also get very bored of having the same things too often.
After 'Mug Shot's' were released I was quite excited (as sad as it sounds) as I'd been looking for a decent cuppa soup, which contains more than just flavoured water! I've tried almost all of the 'Mug Shot' flavours and find the 'Tomato & Herb' one of my favourites!
You simply boil the kettle, enter contents of sachet into mug, and wait 2-3 minutes depending on which style you have (pasta takes a little longer) and your good to go.
Mug shots are a lovely to have on a cold winters day, and surprisingly they are quite filling, it's quite deceiving to how much the pasta actually expands.
The taste of the Tomato and Herb is lovely, it's not the typical generic flavour, it's quite well seasoned and as it contains less than 1% fat, they're pretty impressive!
They are generally also on offer say 5 for £2, depending on where you shop, however they are no more than sort of 70-80p in singles anyway.
After seeing the 'Dazzling Shine' shampoo on an advert, I thought I'd try it out, what girl doesn't want beautifully shiny hair?
I went to my local supermarket to find that the shampoo was actually on offer for £1, even more reason to try it out! After struggling to find a decent shampoo to make my hair look lovely I was willing to try anything.
The shampoo smells amazing, the fragrance includes berry, tea and orange flower extracts, however I find it smells more like a nice fresh bundle of Apples. Which again, smells amazing and actually left your hair smelling like that, which isn't always possible with some shampoos.
It was easy to wash out and didn't leave my hair all tangled and feeling like it was going to take an eternity to get the knots out. Though I was pretty disappointed that it didn't leave my hair with the 'Dazzling Shine' that is promised on the bottle, it was no shinier than normal really.
I also noticed that after a day or so my hair started to become increasingly more greasy and lost whatever shine it did have rather quickly, thus needing to wash my hair again! I thought I may not have washed the bubbles out properly and decided to give the shampoo another chance. However the same thing happened again.
After having an Apple iPhone for 4 years, I decided that the monthly payments on a contract was far too much and decided to go with the 'Cheaper Equivalent' which was the Samsung Galaxy S3.
The style of software took a lot of getting used to because it was so different to Apple. I found certain things where difficult to find, and unlike the iPhone it wasn't very self explanatory. I also found that the galaxy was a lot slower than my previous iPhone and froze on several occasions.
However, the camera on the Galaxy was a lot better and the video quality even more so! You could also take pictures from the videos you have taken on the phone.
The good thing about Android is that many 'Apps' you have to pay for on Apple phones, are generally free on Android. However a lot of 'Apps' on Apple weren't available through Android, and after previously having an Apple phone this was a huge disadvantage to me.
After roughly 2 months I was fed up of not being able to do the things I wanted to do on the Samsung that I could on the iPhone.
I wouldn't say it was a bad phone, but if you've previously had an iPhone I wouldn't advise on getting a generic Android phone.
As a person who generally only buys essential products when they're on offer, when this Sure deodorant was on offer for £1, I thought why not, I'll give it ago. Had a little spray in the shop and found it smelt rather nice, quite fresh and girly.
However, the first time using the deodorant I found that (even though holding can far enough away) as soon as the spray hit my skin it turned into a horrible white powder with consequently went everywhere!! So after holding it at arms length as opposed to the 12cm that is recommended this got rid of the problem, but I had to spray twice as much to get enough to reach my skin.
After a days work at the office (sitting on my butt) I felt rather sticky under my arms, it wasn't a hot day so I shouldn't have been feeling like this, so it must have been the deodorant, I also found the "48 hours of protection" was rubbish as I had to reapply after finding myself in that sticky situation.
After using it this once I chucked it in the bin as it wasn't worth the hassle, luckily it was on offer and I didn't pay full price for crap.
I have recently started using Palmer's lotion to help reduce the appearance of my newly arrived stretch marks.
I've been using the lotion that is mainly aimed at pregnant woman, however I'm not pregnant! I started my office job roughly a year ago, I went from walking to and from college daily and generally keeping quite active, to getting a lift to and from work (not walking distance) and sitting on my butt all day, this has obviously had a bit of an affect on my body as I'm not burning any calories.
Although my stretch marks are small and not visible to anyone on a daily basis, they make me very uncomfortable, hence why I started using Palmer's. I have also tried 'Bio Oil' which I found was too greasy and didn't have a nice as feel as the Palmer's did.
Palmer's is a really smooth, nourishing lotion that not only helps reduce the appearance of your stretch marks, it also makes your skin feel beautiful! Some of the creams and lotions that help with your stretch marks can tend to be quite horrible smelling, but not Palmer's as it is made with Cocoa and smells divine.
On the downside it can be quite expensive I think I paid roughly £4-5 for a big pot, and was rather apprehensive as to whether it would work or not, but luckily it did and it's really helped the appearance of my now fading stretch marks.
As a fanatic Soap and Glory lover, I was absolutely thrilled to discover the Hand Food moisturiser!
I received the Soap and Glory Hand Food as part of a bundle for my birthday. I find using regular soap and water to wash my hands leaves them very sensitive and it's almost unbearable to touch anything without cringing, I found the Hand Food perfect for using after I've washed my hands as it leaves them feeling lovely and soft and fully moisturised.
I found with some other hand moisturisers left your hands feeling greasy and you had to use a lot to get the desired affect. However with the Soap and Glory I found you don't need to use a lot to get your hands fully moisturised and smelling fruity and girly.
However I was bought another tube of 'Hand Food' and whilst I was just finishing the end of my other bottle, my new one was waiting under my bed (out of direct sunlight and warm temperatures) after about a month I needed to open my new tube, but after a week or so I found the smell had gone and didn't smell like what it should and it had also gone discoloured! Although this has only happened the one time, I still wasn't very happy.
I also find that with any Soap and Glory, they are very overpriced and I wouldn't generally buy them for myself.
Whilst I was doing my weekly shop and in need of replenishing my bathroom essentials, I came across the new Radox Cherry Blast, as it was on offer for £1 I thought I'd give it a try.
I absolutely love this shower gel! It's so soft on your skin, even after your out of the shower I rarely feel the need to moisturise after using this shower gel. I also love the smell, it's so fruity and just a generally quite girly fragrance, however I wouldn't necessarily say it screams 'cherry.'
Another thing I have noticed is you have to use quite a bit of the gel to get it to foam up properly and also get it more wet after applying else it doesn't really lather properly. Thus using more and spending more money.
The bottle shape is also very handy for the shower, as it fits perfectly on the shelves. However at normal price at £1.90 - £1.99 I think it's a little overpriced as I said, you have to use more to be able to get the desired soapy affect.
When I got my first ever iPhone (4) I was so happy! It was the best phone, you could do anything and everything, but I was even more excited to learn that my contract was coming to and end and I could soon get my upgrade to the iPhone 5!
The iPhone 5 had only been released for roughly 2 weeks when my contracted ended so I was thrilled to be one of the only people in my circle of friends to have it, and was quite glad to show it off!
At first the phone was brilliant compared to my 4, the camera was fantastic! It was so crisp and clear, I couldn't believe the photos I was taking were from a phone! The internet was really fast, opening up 'Apps' was quicker than ever before, and it was just a general improvement. I was nervous before getting the iPhone 5 as Steve Jobs had died and since his passing Apple had made a lot of changes to the phone, e.g. the size, the weight, and some of the general look of the phone.
However I noticed after a few days or so the phone started to go wrong, it kept crashing, I couldn't load my text messages, I couldn't call anybody, and I thought since the phone had newly been released Apple would surely release an update to rectify these problems, they did, however it was after nearly 3 weeks of not being able to use my phone for which needs I wanted it for, I ended up trading it in for a different model. I think apple need to seriously have a look at their products before they release them for the world, and if they do come across problems after they have been released, they need to release an update far more quickly than they have previously.
Ever since I can remember I've always loved Creme Eggs, all I ever wanted at Easter was Creme eggs! (or money to buy Creme Eggs). I love the thick chocolate shell with the gooey inside. I'm also one of those people that bite the top off and then lick the inside out! I love any Cadbury's chocolate, but the Creme eggs are definitely king! I like that you can get different packet sizes 3,6,12 and I think I may have even seen a 24!! These are great for special occasions such as valentines day, birthday, or just if your feeling kind!! However for the size of the Creme Egg I think they are quite over priced, I remember them being roughly 20-30p when I was younger and now I think they're closer to 60p. Another downsize to the Creme Egg is, as any chocolate is quite high in calories, again for the size, is quite a high number! But overall I quite like to indulge in a Creme Egg every now and then!
I recently stopped buying makeup from shops as I found it far too expensive and from the harsh lights of the shops I found they dried out quicker and didn't last very long. since I've switched to Avon I've found I'm saving a lot more money and the products are generally in a lot better condition and last longer. I've been using the Avon super extend for the last year or so, and I love it! I have quite naturally long eyelashes but this product just enhances them even more! The shade of black is so dark it really makes your eyes pop. some mascara's I find can be quite gloopy and lumpy but I have had no issues with this particular product! I also find with this mascara it doesn't flake off during the day like done other well know brands have been known for, and also isn't irritating on the eyes and is very light, you barely notice it's there!
I have been straightening my hair for about 5 years now, I used to GHD's but since we had 2 pairs catch fire we switched to Corioliss! I would never even thinking about using any other straighteners since switching, they are so smooth on your hair, they're even great for using them to curl your hair. There are various different styles, Leopard print, peacock, galaxy! I love that you can use them at which ever temperature you desire just by clicking the plus or minus on the little control pad! They generally reach the desired temperature within 5-10 seconds which is perfect for when you're on the move, or rushing to get ready for work or a night out! I am aware that no straighteners are good for your hair, but with the corioliss i'm finding that I don't need to go over my hair as many times as I would any other brand, therefore causing less damage and less split ends!
I have been using this product for roughly 3 weeks, I absolutely love it! The smell is especially divine, just after you've woken up and start you daily routine, it puts me in the perfect mood to begin the day. The deodorant doesn't leave any stains or white marks. The smell lasts all day, I'm constantly smelling little bursts of the perfumey flowery fragrance. The deodorant hasn't failed on me yet, I'm constantly running around doing errands and walking up and down the office, walking the dog and the Rightguard Xtreme does exactly what it says, it lasts all day and I'm never left feeling as though I need to reapply. However I would not recommend this product to people that suffer with Asthma as on a couple of occasions I have applied the deodorant and I've been left with a tight chest and have been coughing for a few hours which obviously could leave Asthmatics in trouble!! This is only however happened twice in the 3 weeks and could be my own fault for inhaling to quickly!
