Please note; I am reviewing the wipes that come in a container and not as pictured, Dooyoo have given me the go ahead to pop my review on here.
The wipes come in a container with the Carplan log at the top and a picture of a cars cockpit at the bottom. The container is green and yellow in colour and has a grey lid at the top that plips open.
* Do not use on pedals steering wheel as this can make them become slipery. The wipes are white in colour and smell lovely of apples.
I am a very proud owner of a Rover 75, and love to keep it clean and tidy at all times.
My car gets vacuumed weekly and dusted daily. I use these wipes once a week to keep it smelling fresh and dust free.
My best mate Deanne bought these for her car and told me how good they are. She let me use a couple on my car and I was that impressed with them that she gave them to me for my car and bought more for hers.
These wipes don't just smell nice of fresh green granny smith apples but are not made of thin tissue paper either. You simply open the container at the top and feed the tissue paper wipes through a hole at the top close the top when finished allowing the moisture to stay in the said container.
I use the wipes on my leather dash board and wood effect trim, on my instrument panel and door panels. I find two wipes do the whole of the car, leaving a matt effect finish and leaving my car smelling fresh for a couple of days after using them. I only need to use these weekly as the chemicals in the wipes are long lasting. These are great for people who don't want the over bearing smell in your car, however at the same time having it smell fresh.
These where purchased from a local petrol station for £2.99. I think that is expensive as they only contain 20 wipes per container.
Although expensive I will definitely be buying these again.
Comes in a plastic bottle with a flip top. There is a picture of a yellow star with a smiley face at the top of the bottle.
I am reviewing the Star drops original all round cleaner. Star drops is made in the U.K. and has been going since 1946. It is non abrasive and makes everything sparkle and smell divine.
Star drops can be used for near as anything:
Baths, hand laundry, carpets, Melamine, cars, china Floors, paintwork, hobs,Windows, doors, sinks, upvc, tiles, upholstery, washing up, mirrors, glassware and work tops.
I love to have a nice clean and tidy home, even though I am in very bad health at present that is going to get a lot worse. I spend a lot of time in my house and want to be as comfortable as I can, being assured I have the right cleaning products to hand.
I use this product for nearly everything in my home. It has a smell I can only describe as citrus with floral notes. I once ran out of washing up liquid and used this to wash up with. It removed stains and grease with ease. I recently went on holiday and used it to wash out a few items of clothing, it worked wonders removing wet sand stains from my shorts that I was wearing on the beach that day.
I use star drops to clean my kitchen sink, work tops and even in a bucket of warm water to mop my ceramic tiles in my kitchen and bathroom.
It works wonders on my conservatory glass, it left the glass that clean you could see straight through it as though no glass was there. I used warm water with a few skirts and a dish cloth and micro fibre cloth to dry it leaving no smears at all.
I recently used it on my upvc front door as it was looking very mucky. I added a few skirts to a bucket of warm water and used a sponge and the muck came off with no effort whatsoever.
I have a bath with a shower over. I simply fill the bath slightly with cold/ warm water and add a few a couple of skirts to the water. Then I use a sponge or cloth and clean my stainless steel taps and bath. I then empty the bath and rinse with clean water. the taps and bath shine and smell fantastic too. I do the same with my sink leaving it nice and shiny.
Once a week I clean my tiles in my bathroom with warm water star drops and rinse. My bathroom looks amazing.
I purchased this from my local savers store for 89p. A real bargain. A must for everyone who are looking to save money or love a lovely clean home. Once you use this you won''''t buy anything else, fact.
I''''m reviewing my used Rover 75 2.0 CONNOISSEUR S.E. Petrol automatic. 2002 reg. The car has just covered 61,000, that being low miles for it''''s age. I paid £1000 for it yesterday from a private sale. The Connoisseur is top of the range in the Rover 75 range.
This car has the look of the ''''S type'''' Jaguar, I know this as my parents have a Jaguar S type. The Rover 75 was built to try and save Rover and many people''''s jobs. They made Rover''''s at Longbridge. I am a big Rover fan and find it sad they went bus.The car is very well built indeed and is so luxurious. Rovers where built to last and where known as a working class Rolls Royce, back in the day.
I purchased this car yesterday for a thousand pounds. The body work is like brand new, considering it is twelve years old. New this car would of cost £26,000. The car was intended to invite the interest of business people, as it is stylish comfortable and easy to drive.
The exterior of the car is beautiful, having chrome trim and chrome door handles. The colour of my car is moon stone very pale green. Having 15 inch alloy wheels, front and rear spot lights. My car has an electric sunroof with slide and tilt.
The interior of the car has black leather seats and trim the seats are heated and are also electrically operated to move them. The rear seats can be split and folded down. The car has a very good size boot too, that can be split down the middle.
The rear seats sit three people and have head rests. There is front and rear arm rests for extra comfort for long journeys. The vanity mirrors light up too. The instrument panel has cream dials and when the lights are on there is a red glow.
My car has a tape player and 6 disc C.D. player. Air conditioning is fitted as standard on my model.
The engine is v6 2.0 Connouiser automatic, with five speed gear box. Sports mode economy mode and snow mode. The snow mode is fantastic when driving in snow or ice as it prevents it from skidding. This model has cruise control for long journeys to save on fuel consumption.
This car is the nicest car I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I bought this car as I have a progressively bad spine condition and arthritis in my left knee. I find this car a joy to drive. When in economy mode this car changes up gears very smoothly and hits top gear at around 45 miles per hour.
The body work is spotless on mine and all of the ones I have seen as they have anti corrosion paint.
I recommend this car to someone who is seeking comfort and luxery, you will not be disappointed. The car did 37 mpg when I travelled on the motorway yesterday good for a 2.0 automatic in petrol. However it does depend on how you drive of course, I was traveling at 60mph from Birmingham to Coventry.
I spend loads of money on razors as I have a extreme body hair problem that is related to a hormone imbalance. The problem effects my self esteme alot and at times I don't want to step out of the front door. I was in my local Boots store yesterday and spotted this for £10.99. I thought I would give it a go, to be honest I wasn't holding out too much hope as I have tried products in the past that where useless.
Comes in a rather stylish box. It tells me that it is Nair simple and effective easy microwave wax. It comes in a green plastic tub the wax is brown in colour. It clearly states that it is dermatology tested. However you must preform a patch test 24 hours before doing the full wax treatment. Do not use it on moles or wherethere is damaged skin.
For a 900 watt microwave heat the full tub for 130 seconds or 2 minutes 10 seconds. For half a tub heat for 70 seconds or 1 minute 10 seconds. Leave to cool for 3 minutes.
If it is cool enough at body temperature use the applicator to spread a thin layer over the direction of the hair grow Then remove after a couple of minutes. Do ot go oer the same area again leave 24 hours before reapplying.
I have used numerous brands of wax in the past. This has got to be the best I have used to date.
I have a severe hair growth problem due to having Poly cystic ovaries. I have been going on dates lately and don't want them being put off by body hair!
I had a bath before applying it as I believe it opened the pours more.
I used the wooden applicator and spread it on the hair. I then left it for about two minutes then I peeled it off in the direction of the hair growth. It is brown and smells of toffee. I prefer the peel off more than having to use strips its less messy. To my amazement all the hair came off. Mine is very thick due to my condition.
I used it on my tummy chin and upper lip. I feel more confident now. My skin is silky smooth. I found it lasted week on me then I reapplied it. On the instructions it says use every four weeks. For me every week is great because I don't have to shave every day and have the embarrassment of razor burn.
I highly recommend this for women with hair growth issues like me, or for you ladies who just want to look glam. This is the product for any women to try.
I can now go out with my head held high because no-one can see it!
Comes in a glass jar with the Branston logo clearly seen in bold writing. I am reviewing Branston Original 360 gram jar. This product is suitable for vegetarians as it contains no meat derivatives, or flavours. Branston has been going since 1922. There are also other products available in the Branston brand that I am hoping to try very soon. This product is recyclable to help care for the environment.
More information can be found on their web site: www.bringoutthebranston.co.uk for further information on their products, and recipe ideas.
I have this either in a sandwich or with rice cakes or crackers. However the other night I made me and my best pal a plough mans supper and had this with cheddar cheese and wensleydale. This tasted absolutely lovely. I can taste onions , carrots and vinegar and a hint of lemon juice. This smells of balsamic vinegar and has a sweet taste to it not too strong or tangy at all.
This is nice to have with crusty bread as I had this with my ploughmans the other night. This is very flavoursome indeed I have had this with chicken cous cous and salad before and it went very well together much to my amazement.
I believe as the years have gone on that this product still remains it's same faithful self with the same texture and flavours that it had from as far back as I can remember. I know there are other varieties of this. I.E. small chunks to have in a sandwich for for those that don't like big chunks.
I highly recommend this product for all you pickle lovers out there.
I am a total make up addict and my best friend knows it too and so for christmas she bought me this fantastic Max factor Lipfinity, along with loads other max factor products also.
I can say I was so spoilt this year!
My mate knows me so well and knows how glamourous I am and that I like to wear good quailty clothes aswell as make up.
Comes in a rectangle shape box that is gold in colour and tells us that it is the Max Factor Lipfinity lip colour and the shade being 340 Essential Natural. What I like about this is that it doesn't just look nice in your handbag but it is classy and very good quality indeed. This product is made by a company called Proctor and gamble who make other products besides make up too.
It says that it stays on for twelve hours without needing to reapply, and I have found it stays on longer depending on if you smoke and how much you eat and drink of course.
Make up artists use this world wide as this is truly a very good product.
This has got to be the best thing ever invented. I wear make up on a daily basis and have been for quite some time now. I was fed up of replying my lipstick several times a day. With this you basically apply the colour mine is essential natural, after doing that keep your lips apart for sixty seconds, you apply the top coat which is clear and looks very much like wax to be honest. You apply this over the top of the colour.
I applied this this afternoon and have since eaten and drank and non of it has come off it has stayed on to my amazement. I am totally converted to this product now and will be definitely be purchasing more in the near future. This is available in various shades from nude colours (like I'm wearing ) to quite colourful ones also.
My mate paid £10.99 for this from our local Boots. I have never paid above a fiver for lipstick in my whole life. Quality is what this is and I can't wait to try the other colours now.
I am reviewing Purina Go cat Tuna and Herring with added vegetables.
As some of you may know my mate has a cat called Splodge who lives with us both along with my poodle Daisy. My mate buys his food but often or not I buy him some too when I see it on offer somewhere.
~ The packaging ~
Comes in a bright yellow box with a cat on the front. It is available for kitten adult senior indoor and the crunchy and tender variety.
Always make sure drinking water is always available.
Their web site www.purina.co.uk or www.go-cat.co.uk
Comes in a yellow box with a cat on the front. Each pack contains 340 grams of dried complete cat food.
~ What does Splodge think of it? ~
Splodge does not like it he turned his nose up at it. I even tried to mix tinned cat food in with it to use it up he still turned his nose up and not impressed.
~ Verdict ~
A total waste of money. I have never been keen on this to be honest I once fed it my cat Henry (now passed away) and he thought the same sniffed it and walked away.
The kibbles come in various shapes and different colours. It doesn't really have a strong smell to it just a hint of fish and a dried biscuit smell to it really. I cant smell any vegetables in it at all to be honest. Feed 50g to a 3 kg cat 70 g to 4 kg cat or 90g to 5kg cat.
I bought this from my local Mc Colls store for £1.19 a box as it was on offer I thought I would give it a go, however the little fella was not at all impressed by it at all. .
I have been a fan of savoury pastry dishes for years, with cheese and onion quiche always being my favourite. It is ideal to have in as either a snack or as a quick tea. With Christmas just around the corner I will be buying more to have in for the parties that I'm gong to have over the festive season.
I am reviewing Asda chosen by you cheese and onion quiche. The quiche comes in a cardboard box that is yellow in colour. There is a picture of the said cheese and onion quiche at the front of the box.
This product is freezable and is suitable for vegetarians. The contents of the pack are 330 g.
This is ready to eat either hot or cold. Cooking instructions follow:
To oven heat from cold remove from the packaging and cook in the foil it is in. Cook in a preheated oven on heat 200 in an electric oven or gas mark 6 in a gas oven. Cook for 20 minutes.
To heat from frozen do as the above but cook for 30 minutes.
Myself and my best mate had a late tea tonight, so we decided to have
this quiche as I picked it up with a few essentials to snack on over the week end.
The quiche itself is very tasty having a medium cheddar taste to it with plenty of onion added too. The onions taste sweet and not sour. The pastry is made of short crust pastry having a nice rich savoury taste to it not being too hard and not at all soggy. We had this on it's own tonight; however we usually have it with either potato salad or a jacket potato and some side salad.
This is can either be heated or eaten cold, we had ours warmed in the oven. Personally I don't like eating this cold, however personal preference can be suggest other wise. We were greedy tonight and had half each. This two people, I have managed to get three portions out of it in the past.
Only available at Asda for the price of £1.00.
Comes in a cardboard box with the Aunt Bessie's name clearly shown at the top of the box. There a photograph of the said toad in the hole at the front of the box also. Each pack contains 300g of toad in the hole mix and sausages. It tells us that you can follow them on twitter or on face book
Best to cook this from frozen to get the best coking experience.
To oven cook; preheat the oven and remove the in the said pre heated on baking tray remove from the plastic packaging. Do not remove from the foil packaging place on the middle shelf in the pre heated oven, cook on 220 or gas mark 6 for 25-30 minutes.
This I bought from my local farm foods for £1.50 and decided to buy two of these. I have always enjoyed the Aunt Bessie's branded foods. I found this product disgusting. The sausages has no flavour what so ever neither did the batter. I am so surprised to see that other members have rated it so highly.
Myself and my best mate had this with cheesy mash potato and baked beans as a warm filling meal for a very cold winters day. I managed to eat the batter, however I gave my sausages to the dog, who wasn't over keen either.
The batter is made the traditional way to make a crispy Yorkshire pudding with sausages snug inside.
the sausages are made from 100% British pork. They remind me of cocktail sausages as they are very small indeed. Each toad contains six sausages. We will never have this again, it is totally disgusting!
Comes in a cardboard box with a picture of a sore throat. The bottle is made of clear glass and the liquid is clear also. This product is cherry flavoured. It contains anesthetic to numbed the pain associated with a sore throat. Contains enough liquid to last up to one hundred sprays.
Caution must be taken with the following health conditions and must not be taken
Noisy breathing, severe difficulty swallowing, pregnant or breast feeding. Have a allergy to benzocaine or its associated ingredients. If you have a prolonged sore throat visit your G.P.
This spray has absolutely saved my bacon so to speak. My throat as felt as though I have been eating glass I have tried all sorts over the past few weeks but nothing worked not even antibiotics from my own G.P. Simply remove the green lid at the top of the spray bottle. I hold my breath and spray three times to the back of my throat. Hold your breath and spray three times for adults and teenagers and do not use more than eight times a day. Repeat every two to three hours if needed. For children 6-12 years hold your breath and spray once to the back of your throat. The stuff tastes of cherries and doesn't taste nasty at all or leave a awful after taste. This gave me temporary relief until I drink something or eat solids; although I time drinks and food to when I am almost due my next spray.
I will definitely recommend it to those of you that have found lozenges have not worked just like I found. I have used this for a who day now and my throat spasms and soreness have subsided thank goodness. The sore throat is no longer taking over my life!
Available from all good chemists for around £4.50.
The soup comes in a red tin can, and the Heinz logo can be found at the front. It tells us that it is the cream of tomato variety. The contents of the can are 400g a decent amount I would say. Heinz has been around for many years and as most of you will know it has 57 different verities on offer.
With winter here like a lot of you I have been buying a lot of soup just lately to warm up my insides. For the past five weeks I have had a very bad chest infection and hence appetite has been zilch;therefore I was on the hunt for something easy to digest and came across this fabulous soup. I had been bought up on the Heinz brand and knew I couldn't go wrong by purchasing a few cans of this at the bargain price of just 50 p a can from my local Asda store. The can has a ring pull that you pull to get to the contents.
The soup has a orange red colour to it, with a strong spell of tomatoes to it. Taste wise it tastes of tomatoes just as it should although having a tangy creamy taste to it.
I simply adore this and could eat it what ever time of the year. Each can has enough to fill a bowl to the top. I usually have crusty bread with mine; however personal preference may suggest otherwise.
Simply heat either on the hob or in the microwave; for instructions please see below.
Heat a sauce pan of this soup on the hob on a medium heat and cook for about ten minutes, don't boil as it will impair the flavour.
Microwave on full power and heat for two minutes then stir and cook for a further minute.
Can be found at all super markets for around 80p a tin, however I bought mine for 50 p a tin.
This was bought in a multi pack and contains twelve in a box. The Felix logo is clearly shown at the front of the box along with a black and white cat. In this box the following flavours can be found: Beef, Chicken, Tuna and salmon. This product is made by a company called |Purina and make various products for pets daily needs. Each pouch contains your cats essential vitamins minerals and dietary requirements. More information can be found on the Purina website: www.purina.co.uk
This cat food comes in a foil pouch and has the Felix logo on each of them. You simply tear open the pouch at then top and remove the food. The meat is in jelly and contains animal derivatives. Each pouch has it's own smell and does smell according to the flavour in question. The salmon one does smell of salmon fishy with a hint of offal smell to it. The beef pouch smells of beef. Each pouch does the chicken and the tuna having their own smell of the flavours to them.
Splodge loves this food alot, he has become very fussy he has dry cat biscuits down all the time to nibble on and has a pouch of this in the morning and in the evening.
As soon as the box is opened or he smells the food he thinks he's in heaven. He eats every single last bite of food. The only down side to wet food is the smell it can linger for a good couple of hours.
Available from all good super markets for around £3.00 a box.
I admit I bite my fingers nails very badly and for years and am trying to quick the habit by wearing false nails on a daily basis.
I use this nail polish on my toe nails as well as false nails. Having nice well kept nails don't just look good but makes you feel good too.
I recently went shopping with my girl and came across this polish they where on offer for 99p each so I snapped a few up so did she.
The colour I am wearing at the moment is intense plum. I trim my nails and file them as you do then i apply base coat as this helps stop nail bleed. I make sure the varnish is mixed well by rubbing the bottle between both hands as shaking it can make the varnish glumpy. The varnish itself is off very good quality, it is neither too thick or thin and applied very easy indeed. I follow the three stroke rule as it looks a lot neater and you don't get brush marks. I always apply two coats of polish and have found it drys very fast usually within a couple of minutes. Then I reapply, leave to dry again and then apply a top coat to five a lasting finish. The colour is a very dark intense plum colour, purple really and goes very well with a black dress I wear on an evening out. Suitable to wear in both day time or evening.
I am so impressed by this product it doesn't chip or smudge and lasts a good three days before needing to re apply the colour. I do a lot of house hold chores and find it very hard wearing.
I will be returning during the week to buy some more as you can't go wrong with 99 p, when the product is usually around £6.00 a bottle.
Available from all good chemists for around £6.00.
I suffer from a spine condition known as Ccoxydynia and have done for a few years now. The only usual pain relief I get benefit from is a spine injection that I have every few months, however as the condition progresses the injections will no longer work. In between injections I use deep heat or the likes to help with temporary relief.
Comes in a metallic silver spray can. It tells me that it is deep freeze cold spray on the front of the can.
This product is used to treat common aches pains and sprains, such as sciatica joint and muscle pain. We are advised that it is not suitable for Diabetics, people with circulation problems or for those of us who has sensitive skin.
This product is highly recommended by Physiotherapists and other health professionals alike.
You can find more information on their website at www.deepfreeze.co.uk
I suffer with a spine condition and have have regular steroid injections. However in between injections I use deep heat treatments to help the pain to no avail.
I have read reviews on here about this freeze gel and the spray versions and decided to try this.
Simply take the top off the spray can and spray a few times on the chosen area, mine being my lower spine. The spray smells of a strong menthol smell of eucalyptus and tea tree. The spray works within five minutes of spraying it. The spray numbs the area very well indeed and it feels like a ice sensation.
This stuff is amazing and has really helped my back. I apply every two hours, however it relives the pain but does not cure it.
Available from all good super markets and chemists for around £3.50 a spray. This product is also available in a gel also for around the same price.
Comes in a white tub with a screw top lid. It tells us that it is aqueous cream at the front of the tub.
The information given tells me that it is used to soften, sooth and hydrate skin. This product is suitable to be used by both adults and children alike. It is used to treat a variety of skin conditions such as psoriasis eczema and dermatitis. This can be used as a wash in the shower instead of shower gel or soap to add moisture back into the skin. Alternatively you can use it after showering or bathing to moisterise. This stuff is fantastic to use on babies when they have their nappy changed to help prevent nappy rash as it is a barrier to the skin keeping it water proof. Suitable for all the family contains no perfume. Dermatology tested.
Simply unscrew the cap off the tub and you will find white cream that is rather thick in consistency as thick as 'P.V.A.' glue I would say. It has a very faint smell of baby powder to it. A little goes a very long way indeed. Apply to the area that is needed, massage into the skin.
It has a non greasy formula to it and moisturises my skin very well.
I have a condition known as Lymphoedemia in my legs and feet and because of the condition I loose natural oil in my skin, causing it to be very dry. I use this as a wash a couple of times a week in the shower to help combat my dry skin. My skin feels soft for a good twenty four hours after applying.
This stuff is amazing it has done wonders for my skin, it feels nourished and moistener and the dry skin has gone completely.
My Dad has dermatitis as he has a condition known as 'O.C.D.' which he washes his hands too much causing the skin to bleed and go raw. Since he used this cream the condition has got better.
Availale from all good super markets and chemists for around £2.50 a tub.
