I recently borrowed Jagged Edge's album off a mate of mine. Even though they have been around for a while, i have never really noticed their music until their "Let's Get Married" tune came out. Their new album is really good and contains various tracks which are both slow and fast. The group consists of 5 black RnB artists (guys). So if your into rnb you should like this album alot. They're very similar to bands such as Damage and 112. There are 15 tracks in the album altogether and they are as follows: (1). The Saga Continues (2). Where the Party at (feat. Nelly) (3). Goodbye (4). Cut Sumthin' (5). Girl it's Over (6). Can we be tight (7). I got it (8). Best Man (9). Without You (10). Driving me to Drink (11). This goes out (12). Respect (13). Head of Household (14). Remedy (15). Promise (Remix) I particularly like tracks 2, 3, 12 and 15. However, all of the tunes on this album are reasonably good and it isn't one of those albums where there are more crap tracks than good one's!! Many of the tracks also relate to real life issues that people face in life (mainly about relationships) and doesn't contain tracks where you don't even know what the basic message is that they're trying to put across! I thoroughly recommend you invest in this album, as it is definately one you should include in your CD collection and one that you'll be listening to over and over again! Happy listening!!! :-)
I've only ever bought 1 item from Argos additions, maybe due to the fact that i'm always skint!! I bought a pair of lilac reebok classics once from a Sports Shop but found when i got home that they were too tight and were literally squashing my toes together! I badly wanted a pair and didn't really care that they weren't even the right size! However, there was no way that i could walk around in them all day, they were worser than going shopping in high heals!! I eventually took time out in taking them back but was very disappointed to find that they were not available in the next size up! :-( That's when i remembered that Argos had released a new catalogue selling clothes. A few days later i visited Argos and ordered my trainers. They were a few pounds cheaper to what i had paid in the sports shop aswell, so that was a bonus!! Me being me thought that they would give me them straight away like they do with the products in their normal catalogue! Duhh! But then i realised they would need a massive warehouse to stock everything that was in the additions catalogue!!!!! So i had to wait a week before i got my trainers! The catalogue has a large variety of clothes and shoes etc and caters for people of all different ages and sizes. The prices are also very reasonable and they offer designer labels aswell. It's also a very good way of shopping compared to ordering from catalogues such as Freemans and Look Again as if you are not 100% happy with the products then all you have to do is go back down to your nearest Argos retailer instead of having to go through the procedure of packing it up and sending it back to the catalogue warehouses. Overall, a very good idea of expansion from the Argos team!
In my 1st year at university i lived in halls, like the majority of students do. However, there is a limit to the kind of things you can do here (throw parties for example and make noise!) Therefore, i had decided to move into private accommodation in my second year. I have just completed my second year at university and had no problems watsoever in a private accommodation house. I think this was largely due to having a very nice land lady!! She was very reasonable and when we moved into our house she had put in new carpet and had gave many of the rooms new furniture! My room was really nice, she had given me really nice pine furniture which had turquiose coloured fronts on them. When i saw my room i thought it was better than my room at home!! Apart from it being much smaller in size! She even allowed us to paint our rooms! There are 4 of us who live there altogether. One of them was painted yellow already when we moved in. I painted mine lilac and purple (as they're my fave colours!) We painted another room bright lime and pink! Everyone that visits our house thinks that its beautiful! Many of them have wanted to rent it out this year, but we've decided to carry the contract on for another year and are planning on painting the living room orange! We've never really experienced burglaries either, i think this is largely due to the location of our house. It's not on a road where many students live therefore its difficult to pinpoint that it's a student house! Our land lady has also put a special light into the front bedroom which constantly stays on in the holidays so that it always looks as though someone is in! Living in a private accommodated house also helps you to learn things about the real world like paying bills etc! As usually in halls all electricity, water etc are included in the weekly/monthly rates. Overall, i would recommend private acc
ommodation to everyone that is at university. It can definately be rewarding if you find the right house to stay in!!
The place i come from is not very large and has a limited number of shops in the area, so i had never really come across Greggs until i went to uni in the city. Being a student i never really have much time or energy to cook, therefore i would always find myself popping into town in my breaks to eat at McDonalds and Burger King! However, there is only so much of these fast food places a person can take! I found myself wanting to eat something that would be both filling and healthy at the same time. That's when i discovered Greggs! There were so many different varieties of things to choose from. Rangeing from pasties and baguettes to cakes and deserts! I just wanted to buy everything!! Everything looked so nice! I've tried the tuna mayonnaise and sweetcoen baguettes and they were yummy! The pasties and sausage rolls are also very tasty and are always nice and fresh and you can decide whether you want them hot or cold! But my all time favourite has to be the ice fingers!!!!!! I know that you may not think that they're anything special but i think that they're the best things since sliced bread!! I think its due to the fact that the fingered rolls that they use are soooooo soft! My mates always telling me to make it myself at home, but it just wouldn't be the same!
When the 8210 first came out my 1st reaction was "wow"! It was sooooo small! I had a 3210 at the time, which was quite popular at that time, but compared to the new 8210, it was nothing!! I so wanted it, but it was far too expensive so i just had to make do with my phone. Slowly more and more of my friends began investing in them as they were the latest and trendiest phones to be seen with! The first few months went fine with them, however after time, problems started occurring. The screen would go blank at times and the writing on the screen would go all funny and scramble up. I thought maybe this was due to my mate putting it into her jeans pockets all the time, however it happened to a few people i knew. Plus the phones were made small for the purpose of being put into a pocket anyway! So it couldn't have been because of this. My friends phone has become so bad that she has to apply pressure on the screen to be able to see it! This has resulted in her cracking the screen! In fact the last time i saw it, it had layers of sellotape around it to put pressue on the sreen for her to be able to permanently see it! This is not the only reason as to why i think it's not a very good phone. Using the phone, i have noticed that the butons are far too small! I have little fingers myself and find it very difficult to press the buttons as they are fairly close together. So it wouldn't be very practical for a person with large fingers!! I also don't feel that the buttons are very easy to use compared to the 3310 that i currently own. There are also not very good games and snake is very difficult to play due to the small buttons. There is also a lack of functions compared to those in the 3310, which has chat, composer and also enables screensavers to appear on the front screen. If your looking for a small lightweight phone, then by all means go for the 8210, however there is no guarante
e that the screen won't go funny on you. However, i personally feel that the 3310 is better even though it is slightly larger and heavier. It is more of a practical sized fone and i think that it's perfect in every way! And if your mad about the internet you can also purchase the new WAP 3330!!
I still remember the day my housem8s came home with a massive bottle of vodka! It was larger than the average 70cl bottle. I think it was 1.5 litres 2 b precise! They had won it in a raffle at our student union. Bein students we always had the same old problem of having 2 fork out 2 buy bottles of alcohol 2 drink b4 we went out clubbin (as most of u know, drinks at clubs r far too xpensive!) So it was like a dream come true 2 have this bottle standin along with our collection of empty alcohol bottles at the side of our living room! It didn't occur 2 me then that i didn't really like vodka due 2 a previous encounter i had with the bottle in my 1st year at university. My m8 and i went 4 a couple of drink s at a local pub near the univeristy. Realisin that it was gettin quite l8 we eventually left and walked back home 2 our halls. We began 2 feel very bored indeed and decided 2 get pissed! However, the only problem was that we didn't have any alcohol and there were no shops near by 2 our halls! Rememberin that 1 of my housem8s had a bottle of vodka stashed away in her room, we plucked up the courage 2 wake her up and ask whether we cold buy it off her! She was kind enough 2 say yes, c-in how desparate we were! I had a bottle of coke in my room so we then began our drinkin sesh! It soon turned 2:30ish and there was a knock on our front door. I stumbled over 2 get it, my orientation was really bad! It was a couple of m8s of ours that had jus got bak from a nite out. At this point me and my m8 were totally out of it. My m8 was on the kitchen floor tryin 2 get herself up using the table legs 2 support her! Our guests had 2 take her home 2 bed (good job she only lived 2 doors away!) I was also feelin very uneasy. I had an awful vodka taste in my mouth and could feel the vodka swimmin around inside me! it was awful! I had never felt so bad b4! Probably because i dont tend 2 drink thing
s that i find horrible tasting! However, i don't know wat led me 2 do so in this case! Just smelling the stuff on me felt like making me want 2 throw up! I should have drank some water 2 help settle my stomach a little and dilute the vodka, but all i could think about then was goin 2 sleep! The morning after was the worst! I woke up wiv the most awful hangover i had ever experienced. This was followed by a need 2 throw up all the vodka which was still inside me! This wasnt 2 hard tho as the smell and taste was helpin me 2 puke! I was sooooooo releived wen i had puked it all up as i felt a gr8 deal better. My m8 came round in the morning aswell, however she wasnt affected by it all as bad as me! We got ready and set off in2 town 2 get outselves somethin 2 eat. It was a hot day aswell and i suddenly had a feelin that i was goin 2 puke again! It was awful! I knew i couldn't do it in the middle of town in front of heaps of people! My m8 suggested goin in2 burger king as they have toilets. I have never ran so fast in my life! I must have been in the loo 4 a good 10-15 mins! I was feelin queazy all day long and swore 2 myself that i would never touch vodka again! But i know, im such a hypocrite! Once that 1.5 litre of vodka came in2 the house, it did bring back memories, but the key 2 successive drinkin is not 2 overdo it!! Which is wat i did, and my perception of smirnoff vodka soon changed after that!
