We brought the Fisher Price Sparkling Symphony Gym for Ethan when he was 6 months mainly because of it being two toys in one. You first use the toy as a baby gym there are small dangling plastic shapes such as stars for the baby to hit, when he does it starts playing music. Then once the baby is a toddler they can use it as a little piano with flashing lights. Although the other opinions of this are very good, so far Ethan who is eleven months hasn't been at all interested in it. Im not saying this is a bad toy just that it wasn't suitable for the age range of my son. I would recommend the toy was brought for a newborn then you would get more use from it 30 pound is quite a lot to spend on a toy. Im hoping Ethan likes the 'piano' part when hes bigger.
I have had this printer for about a year and it has never been very good, now it is completely broken. The print quality is okay, once you have managed to get it to print, but the ink cartridges are very expensive (which is probably why the printer is so cheap). It is easy to install and use and so okay for someone who only needs to print occasionally, it is compact and attractive to look at. I woudnt recommend this to a friend, but I might just have brought a dodgy one, if anyone else has this printer and has had no problems then let me know.
I enjoy shopping through my Kays catalogue, as I dont have a credit card its the next best thing to shopping online, I think the Kays have an excellent choice of products they have one main catalogue and a range of smaller catalogues such as for furniture or childrens products. The delivery is usually quite good and if you order online and the product is in stock you usually recieve it within a week. Kays have a lot of special offers and sales, you also get cashback on items which you pay for, recently I recieved a free camara for my birthday! The only problem I get with Kays is their lack of organisation, I have only ever cancelled two orders and with both of them it took my statements about six months for the items to be removed I also recieved a lot of 'debt' letters, which worried me but they did sort it in the end. Overall I would recommend this catalogue.
I have always had problems with my computer, it often crashed during games or complex web pages so I decided to invest in a voodoo 3 2000 graphics card as it seemed one of the best for the price. So far I am really impressed with the card my computer crashes a lot less than it used to even when playing the most up to date games. The graphics have improved too, its mainly subtle changes but there is a real difference on games. We did have a some trouble with our sound card after installing the 3dfx but this was fixed by reinstalling it.
The Sims is the most addictive P.C game I have ever played, you basically play the role of god, and control the lives of your 'sims', your sims are little people which you make, you choose their clothes, their faces and even their personalities. Once you have made your sims you then control their lives, choose their careers and even their romances. One thing I like about the sims is the detail it goes into, how many other games doo yoo know where the characters have to go to the toilet?, but thats not all, you get to build the houses decorate them and buy all the furniture but hey, its better than spending your own money. The game recommends 350MHz, 64MB free RAM and an 8* CD ROM drive, but our computer is 333MHz, 32 MB RAM and 40* CD and the game runs okay. The only problem I found with the sims is that there isnt enough time to play!
I think its terrible that you have to pay to watch BBC channels, I feel they are the worst two channels on T.V I very rarely watch BBC 1 or 2. I think adverts are a great idea they give you a chance to go to the toilet or make a drink during the programmes, also adverts can be fun, look at the Budweiser adverts! I think you should at least get the choice whether you want BBC or not, the only reason you don't is because most people would choose not to watch them.
McDonalds meals are fattening and unhealthy everyone knows that, but I just cant resist them. It takes you back to your childhood when a trip to McDonalds was soooo exciting, the frys are extra salty which makes the meals even worse healthwise but so what, theyre tasty arnt they! , my favorite thing from McDonalds are their chocolate milkshakes, which may be fattening but can be justified by the calcium content!. The only bad point about McDonalds is how long it takes to get served, but the restaurant is generally clean and its great for kids, they even do birthday partys. So although I wouldnt recommened going to McDonalds regularly its great for a teat and the meals are quite cheap really for what you get.
I really enjoyed Big Brother I watched it from episode one and grew to like all of the contestants. Out of the last three in the house I think I would have liked Darren to win, I did not find Annas sense of humor amusing only irritating, and I thought Craig was acting rather than being himself, althougth having seen how he is spending the money I am glad he won. As much as I would like to see another episode I dont think it will be as good with different contestants.
What a great shop Mothercare is, in West Bromwich were I live it is the only shop of its kind, Mothercare for those of you that have never been, stock almost everything you need during pregnancy, for the birth and for the baby and although the prices are a little expensive the baby clothes are just so cute and they are great quality too. The gift vouchers you can buy at mothercare are a great idea, instead of buying friends clothes for their babies that they probably wont like they can choose themselves, Im always happy with a Mothercare voucher.
I brought the original Theme park as soon as it was released and I loved it, it was very addictive, so I was eager to buy theme park world when I saw it in the shops. I rushed home and installed it - and I was a bit dissapointed, the graphics which are all 3D are confusing and it is difficult to move around the game. The whole idea of the game has changed instead of working with money as in the previous game you have to collect keys. And the rides are hard to build. Although the game isnt too bad if you have a lot of patience, I prefer the old version, which you can buy now for 9.99
I joined AllAdvantage when it was quit new, the view bar didnt really bother me too much (although it crashed occasionally) I knew I woulnt make a lot of money for it but as I was on the net anyway I didnt think it would hurt, when I recieved my first check which was for 12 pound I was over the moon, free money! Since then things have gone down hill, firstly they started lowering the money and number of hours you could use the view bar and then they introduced sweepstakes which they kept sending me e-mails about, instead of getting paid you sign up to enter prize draws, which I didnt do. Now they have 'held' my account (26 pound) after sending them numerous e-mails about this they finaly replied saying I 'may' have numerous accounts! and that they would get back to me as soon as it had been investigated, well I havent heard from them since so ive deleted the viewbar. To anyone who is thinking of joining All 'Advantage', I wouldnt bother.
I brought the Phillips c12 on BT cellnets U package, I ve never really been into the mobile phone trend but my partner brought me the phone when I was pregnant, now I couldnt live without it! The phone is easy to use, so easy that my mom has one!, Its small and you can even send little pictures with your messages. The package is quite good to, its pay as you go so you can spend as much or as little as you like as long as you put in 10 pound every 90 days. It costs 35p per minute to phone other phones but only 5p to phone other bt cellnet U users, so if all your friends and familly have the same phone its really cheap, also the phone only costs 19.99 now which I think is excellent value for money, text messages are 5p. This is a great phone although ive heard they may be stopping the U pagage now, what a shame.
Before I had Ethan I always presumed Pampers were the best nappies, when someone brought me a pack of huggies I put them in the cupboard not wanting to use any type other than pampers. Every morning the nappies had leaked, but I thought this must be normal and I just put up with it. After a couple of weeks I decided to give the huggies a try, my first thought was how nice the pictures were, I know this doesnt amount to much but I liked them, also they dint leak during the day or night, and of used them ever since, and now Ethan sleeps 12 hours a night and the huggies still dont leak. I find that huggies fit Ethan really well, the velcro keeps the nappies firmly in place and so far he hasnt had nappy rash.
I started using the mothercare washable pads straight after Ethan was born, and I found that they do not absorb the milk well, instead of just having a wet patch on your clothes your also left with two soaking wet pads, which is not very usefull when your out. Its also impossible to keep up with washing them they need doing so often. After struggling with these for the first week I brought some mothercare disposable pads, which I found were comfatable absorbant and saved loads of washing, I now use the washable ones as well as the disposable, which act as a back up when im out, although I must say ive found cheaper brands of disposables to be just as good.
Ive always been a fan of large pets such as dogs and cats, When I had my son who is 11 weeks I decided on a smaller pet maybe a cockatiel, my partner was against the idea but I dragged him along to a petshop where ....... we both fell in love with a Gloster corona canary, we went home and decided to forget about it we wanted something more exciting but we couldnt forget about we decided if it was a male (better singers)we would have it, we went back to the petshop to discover it wa a girl, but we coudn't resist buying it anyway. Now We love it and are just beginning to hand tame her, and Im just on the lookout for a male to breed them. They are wonderfull little creatures, with funny 'haircuts' on their hand, oh and our girl has a lovely voice, who says females can't sing.
