You might remember Vicky Entwistle as Janice Battersby from coronation street with her big mouth always screaming and shouting, but all that changed after she seen herself in a photo after being on hoilday she was in a bikini, she said that she looked hideous. She decided to do something about it and started to workout, it was so successful that she brought out her own workout video (Wow! Weight off workout). The workout itself is based on the ever so popular sport boxing, in it Vicky takes you through step by step on what you got to do. As you play the dvd like all exercise videos you will get the warnings this can not be skipped it is there for your own safty so please give it a good read or if you've played it before then it's the perfect time to get your main accessories like a big glass of water (which you will definitely need) and maybe a towel, before you start make sure you clear a space so you've got plenty of room and wear something comfortable/flexible. THE WARM UP 10 minutes In this section you do lots of side steps, punches and the box step. I don't think it's the best warm up but it does get your heart going. FAT BURNER 20 minutes Again you do lots of punches alot more movement it really get's to your legs it's a great way to burn fat. This killed me the first few times but it's an easy one to learn and the music goes well with it (remember to drink plenty of water) BODY TONER 10 minutes This section hurts there are lots of swots, bicep curls, lunges and push ups. It was hard and like she says you will feel it in the morning (she's not wrong the first time i did this i couldn't do it again for 2 days i hurt all over). BELLY SHRINKER 10 minutes This section doesn't seem to last long but you do some tummy crunches, russian twists and lots of stretches. I enjoyed this section it was nice 'n' easy and was more like a warm down. As you load the dvd it gives several options play all, play workout, chapters and extras. The play all and play workout are basically the same it plays the workout straight through. Chapters you can select which parts of the workout you want to do, but i would recommend you do the warm up before you do any of the other parts. Extras is fantastic it gives you several options an eating plan and behind the scenes. The eating plan part is great it tells you the five groups you need in your every day diet. . Choose a breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack (it then goes on to give you several options for each of these) .Plus 300ml/1/2 pint of semi-skimmed milk every day. .Fill up on veggies-except for potatoes, parsnip, sweetcorn and baked beans. .Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. I think it's definitely a workout to try it might not be for everyone but it's good fun, the music isn't to my taste either but it seems to go well with the routine. I'll be honest the trainer with Vicky, Richard Callender got right up my nose, i think he liked the sound of his own voice as he didn't stop talking all the way through, he made little remarks like (drive, drive or pump it, pump it)it drove me crazy. The workout itself is worth trying !
I have recently started using a new 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner from schwarzkoft. I have often had trouble with my boys not washing there hair for one thing or another but mainly because it stings there eyes, but i have found one that's saved the day it's got everything anti-tear, anti-tangle and it smells fantastic strewberry and milk the boys love it no more crying or moaning. It's easy to use and you don't need alot apply to wet hair, massage it in and rinse, in and out in 5 minutes so they can carry on playing. I have also used it as bubble bath although it doesn't say it's for that it works well and saves a few pennies. It comes in a really cute colourful bottle about 250ml, reasonably cheap and easy to come by most local supermarkets will have it . This one definitely gets the two tthumbs up from me and would be highly recommended to every parent.
Have you ever wondered what it is about all these different TV show that seem to take over the telly and our children, I have half the time I just don't get them and yet my 2 year old can sit there and tell me the names of each character. Teletubbies being one of his favourites at the moment is the perfect example with po, lala, dipsy and tinky winky, there are all good friends alway hugging each other, dancing and playing games in there own little world with lots of hills with trees and flowers. Then they bring out the toys and that's it every child wants one, the newest to reach the shelfs is the dancing teletubbie it's fantastic my 2 year old was the first to spot it and he wasn't taking no for an answer, at a whopping £35 each it's very pricey but just to see his little face light up every time you sqeeze po's hand and off she goes dancing and blinking that was it hooked just like the kids. There really colourful, sold separately so you can pick and choose which one or ones you want, they do all of them (but I haven't seen them all in town yet). I don't think it helps much with there speech development other than the characters names but it does help with hand coordination and really gets them moving to the music. I'd recommend this one to all teletubbie fans it's great
I brought this camera over two years ago for my partner as a christmas present. If i'm being completely honest i haven't got a clue when it comes to technology but i did know what type of thing he wanted. I didn't like the look of this camera although it's reasonable small and doesn't weigh much it fits easy into a pocket. Now i use it more than my partner taking photos of our two boys doing nothing really just silly things you like to remember, this camera is fantastic for that they always come up nice and clear. With it comes a lead so you can put them straight onto your computer or it not you can leave them on the camera, it holds up to 300 pictures although this is only if you don't have it on the fine setting, the finer you set it the less pictures you can take. It has a zoom in and out button, flash which you can turn on, off or auto which will decide for you if you need it. It has a button on it so you can scan the pictures that you already taken (without needing to open the lens) with this you can go into the menu and erase any of the pictures you don't want. I'm not going to give you all the fancy information as like i said before i haven't a clue when it comes to technology but i will tell you this, this camera only cost me £80 which i think for a digital camera is quite cheap, it works fantastic and as before has lasted me two years. It is a 3.2 mega pixel digital camera with 3x optical zoom, if that sounds good to you good, but if your like me and don't know much about cameras then take my word for it, it's a great little camera. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Woolworths is a great shop for all sorts of things like toys, clothes and electrics. There are lots of stores all over but the one in yeovil has some fantastic deals they are normally the first to have the newest things out. Every christmas they put on there 3 for 2 offers these are mostly on things like toys. They always have clothes and shoes in sales so you can pick up your summer clothes in the winter and so on. As you walk into the building you will find the electrical stuff like televisions, dvd players also they have computer games and cds. Sweets, chocolates and extras are to the front of the store. Also there you'll have access to the lift and stairs to go up to the next level, there you'll find the clothes for children, toys for all ages and some kichen stuff. There are tills upstairs and down so its not often your waiting for one. Also they provide a restaurant this can be found upstairs they do breakfast and lunch, its abit pricey but it tastes good, there is enough seating for about 30 people but i think if alot of them where mums with prams it would get abit cramped. OVERALL I love this store, i often buy my clothes here as its quite cheap my sons school shoes only cost me £6 what a bargain, definitely the place to go. HAPPY SHOPPING!
Sudocrem is one of those must haves in your nappy bag or medical box, sudocrem can be used for a number of things from nappy rash, eczema and bed sores to sunburn, minor burns, surface wounds and acne. It is water-repellent which forms a protective barrier so for the likes of nappy rash it will stop any irritation; it also leaves the skin feeling soft. The ingredients put into sudocrem are put together to help the healing process and to stop it from getting any worse. Sudocrem is mainly marketed at mothers as it is such a good product to use as most children will not be allergic to the ingredients. As a mother I have often used sudocrem for nappy rash but also for eczema which both my boys have, it stops the itching straight away. The cream itself is white and very easy to use you don't need alot of it but it does go along way, just rub in until almost not visible and job done. Sudocrem is really easy to come by, your local supermarket or pharmacy should have it and its really cheap, just one pot of sudocrem (125g) should last you a week or more so you'd definitely get your moneys worth. Alway keep out of reach from children as they will have fun with it, it shouldn't be used near eyes, your mouth or nose and please read the ingredients as you may be allergic. I would recommend this to everyone not just mothers.
True love conkers all. What a film a thiller, mystery and a romance all thrown into one. This movie was first released back in 1990 (in the uk) and was a 2 oscar winner with another 15 wins and 22 nominations for all different things; it was written by Bruce Joel Rubin and directed by Jerry Zucker. The plot of the film is Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) is killed in a botched mugging, but his love for his partner Molly Jensen (Demi Moore) enables him to remain on earth as a ghost. As the movie plays on Sam soon realises his death was not an accident and that Molly is in real danger, so it is up to him to find away to help her. This movie is a real tear jerker and really had me hanging on to the back of my seat, it's got a great twist to it and lots of action. I think everyone deep down likes to think there loved ones are going to be watching over them, so this is perfect for all those believers. Patrick and Demi do a fantastic job in making this film what it is a true love story.
I've always been a fan of true story books or films and a child call it is one of the best and worst i've read in a long time, the book is based on Dave Pelzer as a child, the pain and torture he suffered in his every day life from his mother Catherine Roera. From the word go the book grips you with it's bold title and the picture of a little boy. As best as i can discribe it with out reading it to you would be heart breaking, the courage and will to survive the torture of physical and mental abuse is beyond belief. Dave pelzer describes his mother as an alcoholic and emotionally unstable which left her unpredictable, that she didn't consider him as a son but a slave, he tells us how he was made to sleep in the basement in an old army cot and was made to eat dog scraps, that he considered it a luxury after being staved for days. '5 march 1973. Daly city, california- I'm late. I've got to finish the dishes on time, otherwise no breakfast; and since i didn't have dinner last night, i have to make sure i get something to eat.' I think this paragraph says it all for me it's the opening to the book and it's perfect as soon as you read those words you know it's going to be a good book, it sounds awful to say that i got enjoyment in reading this book but i did. The detail, as much as i wish it wasn't true, are so precise that you can picture it in your head. This book was an eye opener for me i knew things like this went on but i never stopped to imagine what things. I don't understand how anyone, let alone a mother could put another human, a child through something so awful. I would recommend this book as it's so moving a real tear jerker.
As a mother of two clothes is a big factor. Everyone says cheaper the better but as i've come to realise thats not always the case, I think you pay for what you get and at primark it is not quality, ok so if your strapped for cash its a case of going for somewhere like primark as you have to other alternative. I myself have shopped there several times but i find the clothes never lasts as long as some other places, i often loss the buttons or the zip brakes after afew weeks. Admittedly they do some good deals and in the summer, they put on there best bargain like three for two offers on tops ect. With there clothes starting from as little as 99p i can see why so many people phrase it as the place to go for a bargain, but ask yourself is it really a bargain if your paying for a new top every couple of weeks, rather than one expensive top that looks fantastic and feels great which lasts afew months i think i'd rather have the expensive one. GO ON TREAT YOURSELF DON'T BUY RUBBISH!
Riviere sands was not what i was expecting at all! What seemed in the brochure to be the ultimate place to be for your summer hoilday, turned out to be what i considered to be a small caravan park with little things to do on it. This consisted of an indoor/outdoor pool(the outdoor being closed), a small arcade. Outside had a reasonably decent amusement park e.g slide, climbing frame and a few swings. There did have a bouncy castle, bumper cars and trampoline all of which you had to pay for, i think should have been included in the price. The pool being the only indoor thing for young children to do on rainy days was free and very warm but was only open twice in one day so you only had a couple of hours each time. There was other entertainment during the day like painting and the tiger club but again not really for the younger ones. In the evening the boys had the most fun with all the different characters coming out telling stories and singing song's, they also put on mini discos. As an adult it was the same thing every night starting with prize bingo and going on to the raffles (again you paid for) then back to characters dancing around, this would go on untill 9pm, then it was more discos and adult time. They did how ever have a good big bar and a shop to get toys and glow sticks of all sorts. Locally just outside the park they did have a little shop to get nick knack's and gifts from like bread and milk, but with a super market only a 10 minute drive it was worth the travel as it was a lot cheaper. For food they had a fish and chip shop on the park and a pub just around the corner but again at a big price. The location is were the park shines it was located right next to a beach with only a 5 minute walk to get to it, it had fantastic walks and views well worth getting cold for. If i was to rate this park myself i would have to give it 6/10
Charlie and Lola is one of many fantastic TV shows on cbeebies, this is based on a brother and sister about daily life from monsters under the bed or being fussy with food to the more important things like recycling. Lola the little sister often asks her brother charlie for help and advise, i think this is a great way to show children how to interact with each other. Its written with such imagination that your often thrown into there dreams and fantasy's exploring new worlds and thing that could be, like dancing butterflies and walking on rainbows a lot of children respond to this, my son often asking me questions on the topic they did that day. Like many young children they sit glued to the screen from beginning to end laughing at the telly, with lots of these on dvd with several episodes on each, i'd say its definitely worth paying out for with the way it entertains them. And it gives you time to do the more important stuff like the washing and ironing
