There has been a few train crashes of recent years, the latest being at Paddington, which claimed many lives. Train safety is an area that should be looked into. There are many ways safety can be improved , automatic protection systems to ensure stopping at red lights, more regular checks on signals, tracks etc, newer more modern trains ,more safety checks on older trains as well as heeding driver warnings about poor visibility of some signals. Many of the old slam door type of train carriages are over 30 years old, however regular the checks this age of vehicle would never be allowed for a bus or plane in regular service. As with other modes of transport newer designs bring safety features and improvements. Trains are still many times safer than car transport though. The problems with train and air crashes is that they tend to claim many lives and get front page attention. Hundreds are killed on the roads every week in 1's and 2's yet this only gets minor local coverage.
Every week or two we take our recycling down to the recycling centre. It is surprising how much it mounts up after a week or two.Yet some people still throw it in their rubbish bins. It doesn't take much to set aside the recycling products from other day rubbish. Our local council are trying to encourage recycling by providing an extra bin for everyone to place their recycling products in which the dustmen collect when they come for the other rubbish. Only problem is, we find the bin is too small - we could easily fill it in two days and it is supposed to be for a weeks supply, which is why we also go to the recycling centre. I think disposing of paper, glass ,cardboard etc this way is good easy way for everyone to help protect the enviroment.
Lynx is a mens deodorant,/shower gel, it comes in lots of various smells, it has an appealing black coloured bottle, The varieties of lynx io have smelt have been nice, My 9year old boy has started to use his dads deodorant now, even i use sopme occasionally, the smells are nice but a bit strong some of them. Lynx also do a gift box set containing deodorant and shower gel, it costs approximately £5, and makes an ideal christmas present, worth buying and giving as presents.
I just do not like C&A much at all, the clothes are very dated, quite cheap in price, there are several ranges of clothes for ladies such as clockhouse which is designed more for the younger lady, but still not very trendy, then there is the yessica , range more for the older woman, The childrens clothes are not too trendy or well made either, alright for kitting your child out cheaply, if they dont mind being unfashionable, the clothes are more flowery, frilly very girly rather than fashionable, The mens clothes are no better either not really designed for the younger fashionable man but more the older man. C&A are closing there stores at the end of the year, they really needed to keep up with the fashions more the clothes are too dated, C&A seem to have got stuck in a time warp.
I love shopping in Pilot stores but unfortunately there isnt one too local for me , so i need to travel to get there, but its worth the trip. There clothes are second to none very fashionable, excellent prices , good well laid out stores , I couldnt ask for anything else just wish there was one more local for me, The clothes are designed for the teenagers to twenties age group , great place to buy clothes from, so trendy unfortunately they dont seem to do any accessories or shoes, the shop i go into doesnt anyway. If you are young and into looking fashionable then this shop is very worthy of a visit.
I often visit my local new look shop, a large amount of fashionable clothes at acceptable prices, As im in there alot i have got myself a store card, using this gives you alot of extra offers, like an extra 15%of this weekend etc. The clothes are very reasonably priced and if you can get anything your size in the sales you are laughing. I bought a dress in the sales in june this year it was originally £25 i snapped it up for £4, last month i got a pair of shoes which were £17 down to £5. So i have had many a bargain from New Look, Our local store has recently started doing housewares, candles, cushions etc, also very trendy like there clothesand also well priced, The only thing i dislike about there clothes is i have to buy the next size up than i would usually buy.
I go into Monsoon occassionally, mainly to look at girls clothes, the clothes are simply wonderful, beautiful designs, well made, but quite expensive, expect to pay from around £20 for a dress for a young girl. Monsoon do ladies clothes girls clothes, and have just started doing a few house products, pillows picture frames etc. Monsoon also has a concession called accessorize, which do hats ,hair accessories, costume jewellery, gloves scarves handbags etc.again expensive but i have managed to get some bargains in their sales,The sales are worth visiting, often half price sometimes up to 75% off. A nice shop nice wonderfully made and designed clothes just a bit expensive .
My daughter is now at the age where she likes to be fashionable, Her favourite shop is Tammygirl, their clothes are very fashionable, well made and very eye catching to a young child, but the prices are not eye catching for me, I find the clothes pretty expensive, jeans at about £18 for a 7 year old, i would think twice before paying that for a pair of jeans for myself. The clothes are from age 7-8 years up to teenagers sizes, The shop i go into is well laid out,my daughter really enjoys browsing in there, I have also found the clothes sizing is wrong my daughter is only just 6 years old but i have had to buy her tops age 9 years before. Worth a look if you have the money.
I have used hotmail for several things in the past, one being to set up an e mail account, another for msn messenger, which is a one to one chat with one other person who has messenger, similar to icq in many ways,Also their chat rooms, and their communities groups to join. There are loads of rooms to chooose from too many really,You could easily set up your own room if you wanted to, alot of the regular rooms have community groups to join, When you enter a msn chat you can either have a passport where you use the same name all the time and you can set up a profile on yourself,or you can sign in a s a guest, I have found people are more friendly towards you if you have a passport. There are quite a few extras which make chatting on msn more fun, such as using emoticons. then you can put the unwanted chatters on ignore so you cant see their messages. Msn is a good site to go to with lots of things there.
Yesterday i bought a Bop it extreme costs £20,the recommended age for it is age 8 years and over.I would have to agree on that too as my 6 year old is struggling with it. Bop it can be played in 4 different ways, the easist game is vox-bop. The Bop it is shaped a bit like a steering wheel, with things coming off it which you can twist pull spin flick and if you hit the middle of the wheel you bop it. You start it off by bopping it, then it plays a drumming tune and you have to add to the tune by doing as it says, the bop it will say flick it , pull it etc in any order then when you do as it says it makes another noise to add to the drumming noise already. you can play this solo or with friends , it says when to pass it when you play with friends, The other game whicj is much harder you have to listen to what instruments you hear and each instrument means different things eg. a whistle noise might mean spin it . The first game where it tells you what to do is hard enough for me. It isn,t as easy as it looks. You need to be pretty quick or you are out too. This is a noisy game and you can get fed up with the noise pretty quickly.
I have been to Sailsbury a few times , but as for shopping I,m afraid i didnt think much of the shops, I would now only really go there for the market on Tuesdays and Saturdays The market is really impressive everything is so cheap and so many stalls to look at. when i last went to sailsbury we went down by the river near the shops, it was a nice little walk and it led to a park which is fenced all the way around, a good idea as you are close to water. My children enjoyed the park and did not want to leave it. There is also a cathredral in Sailsbury, which is nice to look round but you have to pay to get in which i thought was a bit off,a family of four cost approximately £10,You can go on a guided tour of the towers once inside but not very good for the children as it takes two hours.
I bought my two year old some fingerpaints from ELC You get six 125ml pots of paint in a nice looking box, the colours I got were red green yellow blue black and white, They are great fun to use I put some old papers down on our tiled floor then some paper to paint on, or sometimes i use an easel, children love getting messy hands (well mine does) It also encourages imagination colour recognition, and keeps children amused for ages, I think as long as you have aprons on your child and protection on floor then they are very good fun to use.I believe I paid approximately £6 for the box but it is money worth spending I would say the recommended age is two years to six years as my children who use them are that age.
Earlier in the year we got a hoseasons brochure to look at the brochure was well set out had alot of information and pictures on each site, the brochure gives all the information on whats on site also whats in the area, We booked a holiday at Devon last june and it was exactly as the brochure had described , the lodge we stayed in was very nice, the site was good too. the children didnt want to come home. So we are back on another hoseasons holiday next week to a diferent site, the children are looking forward to it. Also the hoseasons website is very good,we have used that alot to check availability, you can also order a brochure online, some of their sites you could even book up online.their website gives as much detail as the brochures do, and is well worth a look, The holidays are very reasonably priced and if you cant stay a week then they do short breaks monday-friday or a long weekend for either 66%of the full price or 55% of the full price whsich is good.
I often buy bubblebath for the children's bath time they love to play with the bubbles, I have started to buy them MrMatey, it is nice and gentle on there skin, my daughter has sensitive skin but MrMatey was so gentle she has no problems using it, The other reason I like buying MrMatey is the different types you can get, they do the bottles as different men such as a sailor, father christmas etc the bottles are very appealing to young children. My children like the colour change one, you pour some into the bath and it's blue but as the water mixes in with it it turns red, that sure fascinates my youngest child of almost three years.just learning his colours, Also the bubbles do last unlike some where five minutes into the bath the bubbles have disappeared. I pay about £1.75 a bottle but im very impressed with it and would recommend it. Worth the money.
We installed icq just over a year ago,the reason we installed it was because it,s easier to chat to friends than in a chat room, also you know automatically if they are on line, rather than go to chat rooms looking for them ,when they might not even be on line.If they come on line whilst you are on line your computer makes a knocking noise to let you know they have come on line. The main advantages areyou can chat one to one without having to go to chat rooms, it,s easy to use you can make friends from all over the world, There is alot of extra facilities like you can mark yourself as being away , so you wont get messages if you are busy, it is easy to send photos via the file transfer, You can also look for people on line the same time as you to chat to you can search by interests, or age group or even area /country they live in, so if you wanted to chat to a french man you could do a search for french men on line and icq will give you a list of some on line available to chat. The only thing i do not like about icq is when you get the rude people message you, but there are rude people everywhere you chat, but the easiest thing there is to ignore them and do not message back.
