Even though I have not been a fan of MAC eyelashes, I do love this DUO glue. With this glue I find it is long lasting. I struggled to use this glue initially as the nozzle seemed quite big in comparison to the glue you get with eyelashes. After a bit of practice I have eventually found the right way to use this. I tend to apply the glue to the eyelash and wait for 30 seconds to allows this group to become a little tacky. Once I have put it in place it stays in place, it feels stronger than the normal eyelash glue. Dont worry about taking them off because when you do want to take them off its fine with using a eyemaker remover that contains a little oil. If you cant find an oil based eyemaker remover then a little oil will work.
The glue dries translucent and the glue lasts for ages, just remember to put the lid back on! :)
This fluid line comes in a small pot, which doesnt look like much however it does last for more than 6 months with regular use. In order for you to work out how good this eyeliner is, then you need a great brush, preferably one that is narrow to ensure you have full control of where you are applying this.
The balck fluidline creates a deep black, which is darker than any pencil I have used. This is also great for filling or covering the line, for when you apply lashes, to ensure you cannot see any of the glue, even if it is transparent.
This is a creamy texture at first, quite like a gel, but when it dries it stays put. Even when it is drying it doesnt transfer on to your upper lids.
This pot is great value for money and considering it is a premium brand, it feels like a premium brand. This is one that is used by many makeup artist also. This is available in a range of colours although I have only tested the black. Also ensure you keep the lid on well to ensure this does not dry out. I have tried this on a range of eyeshapes and it provides a great look for all.
I find this product great for creating that perfect flick ( as long as you have a good brush). You have to get use to it initially if you are use to using a pencil. Unlike a pencil which tends to pull on your eyes if you are looking for deep colour, then you can achieve this in one stroke. You can apply it to your lower line also and if you do happen to accidentally get it in your eye then dont worry, as I didnt find it irritated my eye.
I am a fan of this prep and prime, line filler. The reasons I like this, is it does actually work. In addition to lines, I find it great for enlarged pores. The texture is creamy at first but absorbes well into a lovely Matt finish. The colour is white at first but when you blend it in, it becomes translucent. This is fantastic as it doesnt change your colour, just fills in those unsightly lines or pores.
I do not have loads of lines and the ones I do have are quite fine however it works a treat on mine.
I have had the 15ml for approximately 6 months and I would say I still have approximately a quarter left. This is with weekly use of up to 3-4 times per week. I paid approximately £15 for this and it tends to be the same everywhere you go.
Your skin feels silky once it has been applied and your foundation goes over this very well. You can also apply this over your foundation which I find useful, although I do prefer it under.
Overall I was cautious about using this primer as there is some negative reviews however I was pleased with this as I do suffer from open pores and eczema on my face, which is wrinkly above my lip and as long as I let it dry in well, then foundation tends to cover it really well. Try a tester on your hand and you feel the silky texture, which has a slight powdery feeling which is great for oily skin!
As you can see in the heading I do think this is the best of the best as long as you get the colour matched correctly. If you go2 Mac, they can tell you if you are NC or NW depending on your undertone.
So this concealer is fantastic and does everything you would want from a concealer, to conceal anything from a scar to a spot. The sculpt range is great as it has been used to cover up tattoos, which i suppose shows you how great it is.
It is a thick concealer, so use it sparingly and apply more layers if neccessary. Foundation glides over it well as long as you don't overdo it.
I use this as a base around my eyes aswell, as it allows eyeshadow to hold. It is quite oily so if you are using it under your eyes then I would suggest applying a translucent powder over it.
Overall the colour range has a wide variety and it does everything you would want from a concealer, just blend it in well and dont over do it!
I am a fan of the clour range of the Lipglasses however they are more expensive than similar cheaper ones. The range has a great clour range, so if you like the colour then I would suggest you go for it. It is long lasting, which is fantastic. I suppose the trick is in the name 'lipGLASS' and I would say it gives you a great sheen on your lips which does look like glass.
I do have extremely dry lips, so the lipglass range is brilliant as it gives me temporary moisturisation and it covers it up well.
I personally like to use lipglass over a lipstain, as the lipstain holds the colour on your lips for longer. Then you can just top up as and when you feel the need to.
I love MAC products but I would probably say more for the way it looks in my make up bag. Some of my favourites from the range is pink poodle, which looks quite a vibrant pink but when you apply it, its not quite as bright as it looks but just enough so you can tell. This also covers 2 freckles I have on my lips.
Another one I like day to day is PRRR which is more of a natural tone and even though it does have colour it looks nude.
Pro's - Quite a nice dark black colour, with a nice brush. The brush is quite slimline and spacious, so as long as you carefully remove the excess before applying it doesnt clump. It is a nice mascara for a natural look but I would not use this mascara for a night out. Great price and not too wet so can easily apply another coat within a few minutes. I really like this mascara for my bottom lashes. Seperates my lashes well. It is easily removeable at the end of the day and doesnt flake or transfer during the day.
Con's - Not enough for a night out. It does not encourage my lashes to curl upwards, so I have to either use eyelash curlers or I have to press on my lashes to encourage them to curl up which doesnt tend to hold in place for a day in the office. Doesnt add volume at all really, even with a couple of coats.
Overall this mascara is good value for money for a day look and in comparison to other mascaras, i do like it as it it doesnt clump my lashes. It doesnt cause any irritation to my sensitive eyes and it works really well over false lashes. The brush is spacious and has 4 lots of bristles, so if you like this type of brush then I would give it a go. It creates a nice black colour!
This mascara has a funny smell, one that I dont like so if you get a chance have a quick sniff of it in a shop before purchasing. Even with the smell, I was reasonably happy with this mascara, it seperates my lashes well and makes them look neat. The black colour is not the deepest darkest black but it does a reasonable black. It makes my lashes look slightly longer and slightly thicker, so I don't mind using this for day to day use but wouldn't be enough for a night on the town.
It does take time to dry, if you do it too soon you will be wiping off the first layer, not applying an additional second coating.
I am not keen on the brush as I find this is ok for the lower lashes and the upper inner lashes however I do struggle with my upper outer lashes as its quite thick and even with the slighter narrowing towards the end, I think its still too thick.
Please beaware you have to wipe off the excess off the brush well also, as at the beginning I wasnt keen on it as it would transfer too much mascara on to my lashes.
So I just wanted to say even though the description in the name, gives the impression that the mascara would give them a fake lash look, it definately didnt look like I had a lovely set of falsys on. Now I just want to mention I am giving my view on this mascara having tried this. I am not keen on this mascara however my friend really likes it. Her lashes are curled, medium lenght and quite thick. My lashes are short, straight and not very thick at all. My lashes are quite short and stumpy, so I was probably expecting more from this mascara. I have done a make up course recently and so I am always on the look out for a better mascara. I have tried the cheaper brands to the high end brands and I have tried better cheaper brands than this, in relation to lenght and thickness.
Now firstly I wouldnt say this mascara is not worth the price personally. I find this mascara made my lashes look messy if you know what I mean, not seperated at all. Some of my lashes would clump together but not in a nice feathery way. The colour is nice though, its a deep black colour, although yet again I dont find the brush very flexible so even though it did lift my lashes, it didnt give me lenght or thickness. The actual texture of the mascara is drier than the norm, so I suppose thats why it clumped my lashes.
It does lift also and if my lashes looked neater then I would consider buying again but they just looked too messy. There are definately better mascaras which gives you lenght and volume, without clumping your lashes.
It does give added lenght but far too clumpy and very untidy lashes. Definately not value for money, so I wouldnt recommend using this.
I bought this mascara in a 2 pack on the plane on, on my way to Spain. It was 2 for £16, So I thought it would be worth a try. I tend to be quite impressed with the loreal range so the idea of a 'collagen' mascara sounded great.
So would I buy this mascara again? No. This mascara seems very wet. I suppose I wouldn't mind if it worked brilliantly when it eventually dried but even then I wouldn't say it was that great, you could tell I had mascara on but no real benefits. (just bear in mind my lashes are extremely short and thin). I tend to see a benefit in mascaras when I put a few coats but this was just too wet to wait around for it to dry. When I did eventually manage to put a few coats on it then became very clumpy towards the end of my eyelashes, which didn't look great.
When using this mascara on my lower lashes, I had to wipe away the excess that transferred onto my face. Later on in the day it would almost crumble on my face so I would not recommend buying this mascara!
PS: it also has a funny smell, which I didnt like. The only thing that i liked was the deep black colour, other than that, Nothing!
I must admit before using this mascara I had not hear of Helena Rubenstein Makeup before. I usually use Mac, Lancome, Rimmel, Maybelline, Loreal, etc. My mum bought me this mascara, partly because I think she knows I love leopard print!lol but partly because she knows I hate my lashes and I am always on the quest to find the '1' when it comes to a mascara.
I would say this mascara is just ok. My reasons for this is it doesnt tend to smudge which is great and I did find my lashes were more voluminous however they were still the little short straight lashes I hated. People did comment on the noticeable difference in the volume however just bear in mind this was with three coats.
Having looked at the price of this mascara and the fact that it did not lenghen I would not recommend buying this mascara unless you have long lashes already.
I must admit I am a fan of soap and glory. I have used the flake away product, which smells absolutely gorgeous!. I cant describe the smell, but maybe fruity? :s I also have the lip plump which I also love and the scrub your nose in it.
This clean on me shower gel, is something I absolutely love - probably due to the smell. I also have a dry skin condition which can easily be irritated however this does not irritate it at all and in fact it leaves me with super soft skin. I say that because its really moisturising. I know it is more pricey than traditional shower gels however it works a treat which has kept me buying it. I would suggest you open it slightly and smell it first as my mum finds it a little overpowering.
If you lather it up, you dont have to use much either which is great as it lasts for ages. Plus I got mine from boots on the 3 for 2 offer, which was brill as it worked out slightly cheaper & you earn advantage points as well.
overall I would say - smell it and if you like the smell -buy it as it is really rich and moisturising.
So I am finding this quite strange at the thought of writing the review about the laptop I am typing on, but here it goes. well as you can tell from the headline I am kinda keen on this laptop. If you have read any of my other reviews, they are definately not techy. Anyway the techy stuff is usually provided so I am just going to write my personal opinions on how I find this laptop.
So I love this laptop firstly due to the lovely wide screen. It is a huge improvement from the last laptop I had. The screen quality looks like a TV almost. I love watching catch up on my laptop now because the picture quality is great.
I have the laptop in black and its slightly silver around the keyboard area, although the keyboard is black. It was a complete bargain as well at less than £200 new.
The battery life lasts for a couple of hours on its own, which is more than enough for me. And thats with things such as writing this review! The only downfall to where I sit is when I do need to plug it in, I have to plug it in to my right (and the socket is closer to my left!lol) The lead I have is long enough as well.
The buttons are not the smoothest but they are ok and to be honest I do not like the ones that are too soft anyway as it doesnt feel like I am typing.
This laptop is made of great quality and I must admit i have dropped it twice already and it hasnt broken *phew*. I would say its the lightest laptop I have picked up but its definately an improvement on my ancient one. It would be great if yt was a little lighter but I absolutely love it!
I tned to use my laptop for bowsing the web, online banking & online shopping ;) and it works a treat.
The only negative to this is the touch pad is extremely sensitive and I must admit I haven't quite worked out something just yet but it is really irritating. The problem I have is the screen just seems to 'zoom' in or out on its own ( I am sure its not and I am probably doing something) but its really irritating. I then have to alter it back to 100% as I like it buy choosing the options on view.
Sorry the last negative I would have is on my old laptop it had a little scroll option on my touch pad of which I could use to scroll down the page. This does not have one on this touch pad and i have to use the cursor to scroll down the page by using the bar on the right if that makes sense.
Not such a techy review as I mentioned earlier but that info is provide anyhow, so if your looking for a bargain laptop with a great screen and stylish design I would defo opt for this one! I hope this helps!
So I have had this camera for a couple of years now and it has been on many a holiday with me. I bought this from the airport when I was going on holiday. The sales assistant took me out of the shop and showed me how far I could zoom and I was sold!
I believe you can zoom in on things upto 1 mile away. I was amazed at the picture quality and I really like the option of zooming in on the pictures I have taken and in fact you can probably zoom in more than you want. I could zoom right in to see all details in the background clearly. When I uploaded them to my PC the pictures was really crystal clear and just as much when I have had some of them processed. The memory holds an SD card, so you can choose the amount you want. I had a 2GB memory card which was ample for hundreds (and I mean hundreds) of pictures.
The camera has various options and the options really are suitable to take a great picture. The camera adjusts well as does the flash. I am no photographer but the pictures do turn out great and even so at night, I have great memories thanks to that camera. the charge on the camera lasts for ages. I would say with constant picture taking of the beautiful scenery on holiday, it lasted for 4 days and if you charge it, it only takes a couple to a few hours.
So onto the cons.. The build quality of this camera is not great, so it may take a great picture when it works. So where do I start? the outer shell of the camera is strong even after a few falls however in order to charge this camera you have to remove the battery. Once you open the camera to remove the charger you see little fidy bits of 'plastic'! One of which is meant to slide in order for you to remove the battery. As I did not charge it that often other than being on holiday, I was not happy when the plastic part broke a little. This meant every time I have to remove the battery, it was extremely fidly and if you did not push it down properly it wont close and the camera wouldnt work. So theres no suprise that this 'piece' of plastic eventually fell off. This was really dissapointing as I was on holiday at the time and did not want to buy one abroad. I had to rummage around to find something to jam the battery in in order for me to take photos. This didnt work great either as it was still slightly loose which basically means the battery isnt in far enough.
When buying a camera I didnt think to check this part of the camera but this is a must in future, you may be able to take a great picture but I suppose in this case thats as and when due to the cheap plastic peices!
I haven't had a coffee maker but since I am not allowed to drink milk anymore I decided it was time to invest in 'proper' coffee, so I purchased this coffee maker. Initially I didnt like the taste of black coffee but I made myself initially as I need the 'wake up' before my early starts. With this machine, I genuinally became to start loving black coffee. The taste is great which probably made me drink too much initially! The build quality is great and sturdy and does make a great coffee. It has a lovely finish and looks great stylish design. I love the cream colour and there is a black one available, although it was more pricey but I am delighted with this one.
It looks lovely in my kitchen and I even have my boyfriend using it! I find it easy to clean as well, which is great to know as thats one of the things you dont want to spend loads of time on when your in a rush in the morning. I must mention though, none of it is machine washable, although this is not a problem for me as it doesnt take long to wash. My friends love coming around to mine for a chat and coffee now and mine seems to be the place to meet now, which is great as I am always running late. I must admit my friend does have a coffee maker and maybe I am biased but my coffee does taste better, although I am not sure it is down to the machine or the actual coffee we buy. (Hope she doesnt read this!) It has saved me loads of money instead of buying coffee from Satrbucks all the time, its just a shame its so chunky otherwise I would try and take it out with me!lol
It is quick and efficent which I love, it is very simple to use as well which is a must.
I would say you can make 1 coffee or upto 3 mugs with this coffee maker. I believe this is made out of aluminium and chrome so as you can imagine, it definately does have a great build quality. The coffee also seems to stay walm for longer as well, which is great! I have definately not had any problems with this so far so I would suggest buying this.
I am sorry I cannot really compare this to others as this is my first one but as I have mentioned it does have a great build quality and looks great and overall I am really impressed!
Its difficult to know what to buy when it comes to a coffee maker as there is so many options, but if you want the stylish option which makes a great coffee then I would suggest you choose this one. There really is nothing I can say but positive things about this coffee maker. Most importantly it makes a great coffee, which I suppose is the info you really want!
So I have had this telly for approximately 9 months now and I absolutely love it, although I am not the most techy person in the world. My boyfriend chose this telly and I know alot of research goes into everything he buys so I assume it must be good.
The picture quality is great as is the size. If you have had a samsung telly before then as you know they come pretty similar. I prefer LCD to plasma as the quality seems alot better. The original one I bought was £1500 so the price of this one seems a bargain. The price does vary so I would advise definately looking around and ours came with free delivery.
It has a lovely elegant design, I have mine on a stand but I believe you can attach it to the wall. I know this is not the greatest review in terms of product info as I am sure you will look into that anyway, however just wanted to put my girly spin on this product. It looks great and sounds great!
