I'm an American currently living in Belgium with my husband and two cats. Yes, that's right, an American. Those people who spell things and pronounce things a bit differently. Like favorite, and humor and aluminum. You won't all gang up on me now, will you?

My interests include gourmet cooking, gardening, travel, writing, good books, history, culture and archaeology. I've also taken up knitting recently in my spare time: I like to keep my hands busy. My posts here will tend to concentrate on books and travel for the time being and that's also what I'm most likely to read and rate.
