I wasn't really all that impressed with this hotel when I traveled to Las Vegas close to a month ago, Halloween Weekend 2008. When we interest the hotel we were on the hotel's gaming floor which was pretty nice, there were definitely a lot of slots to choose from and the table minimums were lower than those of other large hotels on Vegas. Their black jack minimums were $10 instead of the normal strip hotels that have a minimum bet of around $20 at their gaming tables.
The hotel lobby, where the games are positioned, has a Star Trek theme that I was not particularly a fan of, but I am not a Star Trek fan at all. I guess it makes sense for Star Trek conventions; maybe they make good money hosting those sorts of conventions because of their Star Trek decorations. The hotel from the outside is huge and it looks pretty cool. This hotel also is attached to the Las Vegas monorail system that made it very convenient to get to the popular Las Vegas strip to experience some gambling at the hotels of the strip. A day pass on the monorail is about $12, a one ride pass is $5, and a weekend pass is $48.
The staff checking us in was very friendly and helpful in helping us locate our room. When we got up to our room on the 11th floor of this hotel I was somewhat impressed after opening the door. The bed was a nice king size, their was a large flat screen tv, there was a little table for eating at and a corner with a desk and a plug that was built into the lamp on the desk, which I personally thought was pretty cool. However, when I walked into the bathroom I was not at all impressed, while the rest of the room looked like it had been updated and remodeled, the bathroom looked as if it were still stuck in the 80's. The un-modern decorations gave the bathroom a dirty vibe and I didn't enjoy my time in their at all. While the bathtub was a large size spa tubp it was still the ugliest bathtub I have ever seen and I would not take a bath in such a gross looking tub. Also, the water pressure in the shower was not pleasant, it didn't have a nice feel good spray, it was more of a sharp and prickly spray.
Also, the Television channels that the Hilton supplies are awful. You probably get like 20 channels and not very good ones. I guess they either don't want you to sit in your room so you will be downstairs gambling and making them money, or they want you to purchase their pay per view television.
If I had the choice over again, I would not stay at the Hilton, not just because I wasn't that impressed with the room, compared to when I stayed at the Venetian 6 months ago, but because the prices at the Hilton are so beyond what the hotel rooms are worth, I believe we paid $189 a night, when we could have been staying at the Venetian, which is a much nicer hotel that is actually located on the Las Vegas strip for about $10 more. So if you are looking for an affordable hotel, this is not the one for you and if you are looking for a luxurious hotel, this is again not the one for you either because you can find a much better deal on the strip. I obviously do not recommend this hotel when it is barely cheaper than the much nicer hotels located on the strip.
I absolutely love the blockbuster online service when it first started. There were so many exciting perks that it was well worth the $15 a month it cost at the time. This membership allowed you to have three movies at your house allowed you an unlimited amount of in store trade ins at the blockbuster store. Meaning you could take the DVD's that were mailed to your home and trade them in for a blockbuster DVD rental, however when you do use your mailed DVD's to trade in for in store DVD rentals you have to remember that the blockbuster return policy applies to the rentals you get from blockbuster, so if you don't return them within the required time frame late fees will apply to you. This confused me at first, I assumed since I was part of blockbuster online that the rentals from the store had the same rules as the rentals in the mail of no late fees ever. I found this lesson out the hard way. However, after this one time mistake I learned and returned my DVD's on time and was very happy with this awesome perk of the blockbuster online membership.
I had been upgraded by blockbuster for free at one point to have an extra DVD at home, meaning I could have 4 DVD's at home for the same price as 3, however, when I received an email telling me that Blockbuster was jacking up this price to $29.99 from the $15 a month I was paying and changing the blockbuster in store trade in policy to only 5 trade ins a month I decided this service was not worth the money. I decided to switch to Netflix which was over $10 cheaper than blockbuster and you get 3 DVD's at home and you can watch unlimited movies and tv shows on Netflix's website. You don't have to pay to watch the movies or television series online like you do on the blockbuster site.
Another reason I stopped using blockbuster was because I moved farther away from a blockbuster store making it completely not worth $30 a month to be able to trade in 5 movies a month from the blockbuster store and still have the same amount of rentals at home that Netflix would allow you for around $18 a month. So, while blockbuster does have good service and some convenient perks inflated price with a downgrade of services is just not worth it.
I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. The location was very convenient seeing as it was located in the middle of downtown phoenix. The staff was very friendly when they checked us into the hotel room. When I got to the room I was very impressed. It was a very cleanly hotel room and had a lot of space. The room was affordably priced for the amenities that it provided. I was not very impressed with the beds that were provided in the rooms however. They were sleep number beds which I was not impressed with at all. If I wanted to sleep on an air mattress I would have camped out and put one in my tent. Other than that the room was very nice. However, the bed is a very important part of the hotel stay so I would not rate this hotel very high.
I was very happy with the hotel staff however. Each day when the maids cleaned my room I was very impressed with the job that they did. The room was always super clean, which I absolutely have to have. If I can tell that someone has stayed in the room before me I am completely grossed out. The front desk staff was also very attentive and friendly. They provided me with a lot of good information about good placed to eat that were within walking distance from the hotel that were tasty as well as affordable. Any request I made they were on top of it and happy to oblige.
While I was very impressed with the staff that this hotel hires I did not sleep well because of the sleep number bed that was in there so I will not be staying at this hotel again seeing as the bed in the hotel room is one of the most important parts of the hotel stay.
This movie was amazing. I wasn't really all that interested in seeing it because it didn't look that entertaining to me, but I am so glad that I gave it a chance. I couldn't take my eyes away from the screen the entire film. Jamie Foxx did an amazing job in his role playing Ray Charles. He looked and sounded EXACTLY like the real Ray Charles in this movie. It was uncanny. I had never thought very much of Jamie Foxx as an actor before this movie. I didn't think that he would do a very good job playing any kind of role other than the funny dumb characters that he has played in the past, but he did a phenomenal job playing his role in this movie. He truly is a great actor.
The movie is obviously about the life of Ray Charles, one of the revolutionary African American R&B artists who broke through the adversity and made a career for himself using his god given talents. This story takes us to the very beginning of Ray Charles life, where he lived on a farm with his low class working mother and younger brother. It shows you the accident that caused the loss of his eyesight and the tragedy that occurred that has given him nightmares his entire life. Ray Charles mother seemed amazing in this movie. Even though Ray was just a young boy when he lost is sight, she was determined that he not be a victim. She insisted that he carry on with his normal life by learning how to take care of himself all by himself with his disability. It was inspiring how she watched her son struggle with his new disability when all she wanted to do was to protect him from the cruel harsh world that would ostracize him for his disability so for her to let him fall on his face over and over again as he struggled to learn to live with this new hindrance was awe inspiring. Because of his mother's insistence, Ray grew up to be a very independent man even though he was blind.
The next part of the movie shows Ray performing on the piano in bars and singing his heart out. It shows his struggles as he moves up the famous food chain and how he deals with people taking advantage of him because of his disability. It shows the different triumphs he makes in his career and in his life after dealing with the different damaging paths involving drugs and women he takes.
This movie is amazing. I had no idea that Ray Charles dealt with so much heartache and sadness in his life. This was an awe inspiring film that will make you laugh and cry and keep you entertained from beginning right down the very end. I highly recommend this amazing film.
This is a movie is based on the best selling book by author Ann Brashares about a group of best friends who are just starting to find themselves. I didn't know what to expect when I went to see this movie. I didn't actually expect to go see it at all, because the title sounded so dumb, but I went with a co-worker and boy am I glad I did. This movie was ADORABLE. I absolutely loved it. It is a movie that every girl can relate too because the girls in this movie are all completely different in their own ways so it is most likely that every girl will relate to at least one of these lovable characters. I absolutely loved the actresses playing the characters in this movie and I would not change a single one of them. They all four did a fabulous job playing these wonderful characters.
The story is about a group of girls who are about to have a summer that will change their lives. Carmen, played by American Ferrera, is spending the summer with her birth father who she hasn't had much of a relationship with. Bridgette, played by Blake Lively, who is the gorgeous, tall, blonde, blue eyed, and athletic one who is spending the summer at soccer camp. Lena, played by Alexis Bledel is spending the summer in Italy with the grandparents she has never met, and Tibby, played by Amber Tamblyn, is stuck in their home town working at a grocery store while working on her documentary.
Before the girls embark on their different summer journeys, they all go shopping and talk about how much they will all miss each other. You see as of this point these girls and lifelong friends have never spent a summer without each other. While they are shopping, the find this pair of blue jeans that miraculously fits all four of them perfectly, which is obviously a surprise seeing as all of their bodies are completely different. The girls take this as magic so they decide that they are each going to have a week with the pants throughout the summer. Every week each girl will send the jeans on to the next girl with a note about what is going on during their summer and so on and so forth until the summer is over.
So the girls embark on their different journeys and have the summer of their lives. Carmen gets to know the father she never really knew, but feels left out of the new family that he has built without her. Bridgette meets a boy that she falls for that is much older than her at soccer camp. Lena comes out of her shell when she also meets a boy that she spends a lot of time with in Greece, and Tibby meets a young girl that helps her with her documentary and completely changes her outlook on life.
This movie will touch your heart, it is BEYOND adorable and I loved it. I highly recommend this film to all women out there.
My current favorite books are the Vampire Trilogy written by Stephanie Meyer's. The first book begins this amazing unlikely love story about a vampire and a human. I can't express to you just how much I love this series. I think this just may be a sort of Harry Potter phenomena, except a story with a little more mature content, but still a fantasy. This love story was so touching that I actually got butterflies while reading it. I found myself being completely engrossed in the story from the very first page to the last. I could barely put this book down. I read for hours and hours on end, I was completely addicted. I just love a story teller who uses such vivid description that you can actually picture the story as it goes along. That is just what Stephanie Meyers does in each of these amazing books. In this review I am going to describe the first book in this amazing saga that will hook you from the very beginning.
Twilight is the first book in this amazing and addictive series that introduces you into this fantastical world that Stephanie Meyer creates. This is a love story between Bella Swan, a human girl who has just moved to Forks, Washington from sunny Phoenix Arizona in order to live with the father that she has never really known. When Bella starts her new school she is introduced to her heartthrob of a Biology partner Edward Cullen. For some reason Edward seems to have some kind of animosity toward Bella because he is completely unfriendly to her on their first meeting.
Bella tries to befriend Edward, but reacting to his extremely cold attitude Bella realizes she is being completely rejected and decides to give up. That is until Edward saves her from a car that is about to run her over. However, when Edward saves Bella's life by using his unexplainable strength push the car away from Bella and saves her life. Now Bella is all confused, if Edward hates her so much, why would he risk his life saving hers. After this bonding occurrence Edward can't keep up his hateful act towards Bella any longer and admits to her how intrigued he is with her. Obviously Bella feels the same and these two are in a world all their own as this unlikely love story blossoms and grows into a beautiful relationship. You see Edward happens to be a vampire. He is amazingly strong, fast, and good looking and is extremely protective of his Bella and will stop at nothing to keep her alive, happy and safe. This story is about Bella and Edwards adventures together and takes you through each step of their blooming relationship which makes you fall even more in love with these wonderful characters because you truly get to know them in these books.
This unlikely relationship receives a lot of ridicule from Edwards family of vampires and Bella's father, but nothing can keep these two soul mates apart. This is a love story for the ages, that will make you laugh, cry and give you butterflies. I can't even express how much I love this series. I am keeping these books to read over and over again. This is the best series I have read in years, maybe even ever.
Oh I absolutely LOVED this movie. It is so heartfelt. The concept and message in this movie are amazing and eye opening. This is a movie that will really make you think and want to become a better person. The storyline in this movie is touching, motivating, and extremely entertaining. The actors played their roles fantastically well, this movie kept me hooked from beginning to end.
This story is about an 11 year old boy named Trevor, played by Haley Joel Osmond, who, on the first day of school is introduced to his new social studies teacher, Mr. Simonet, played by Kevin Spacey, who give his students a very unusual assignment. He tasks his students with coming up with an idea for making the world a better place.
When Trevor comes into class the next day he is very excited about his project that he has prepared. Trevor has the idea of Paying It Forward. This means that a person is tasked with doing a favor for three people who are in need without being asked. In turn, each of those people will do three favors for three different people without being asked and so on and so forth. This will in turn make the world a better place. Mr. Simonet is greatly impressed with Trevor's innovative idea that soon becomes an extremely big deal.
Trevor puts his theory into action by working on helping three different people. His first favor consists of letting a homeless junkie living on the streets stay in his home. Next, he works on fixing up his mother Arlene, played by Helen Hunt, and Mr. Simonet in order to get rid of the loneliness that seems to be consuming them both. Trevor's last act of kindness is when he stands up for one of his classmates who is getting picked on by bullies.
Trevor's idea of Pay it forward has soon spread across the globe and reaches a journalist named Chris Chandler, played by Jay Mohr who finds himself in a predicament where he is stranded without a car. All of a sudden a stranger comes up to him and hands him the keys to a jaguar. He obviously thinks the man handing him this amazing gift is insane and asks him what he is doing. The man tells him to Pay it forward and then gives him the rundown of how pay it forward works. After this unsettling and amazing experience Chris begins researching where Pay it forward came from and his search leads him back to an 11 year old boy named Trevor.
This story is just so touching and heartfelt it will really make you think. I don't think anyone can say they didn't enjoy this film and I highly recommend it.
I my goodness, what can I say about this movie? I absolutely LOVED it! This is one of my favorite girlie movies EVER. Anne Hathaway is just wonderful. She is starting to become one of my favorite actresses. She does an especially fantastic job in this movie. The story of the movie invokes the dreams of every little girl at some point in their life. Every girl has had the fantasy of being a princess, and this movie brings this well known fantasy to life.
This story begins with a normal teenage girl named Mia Thermopolis, played by the talented Anne Hathaway who is somewhat of a awkward and klutzy young girl in New York. Mia has never been what you would call popular; she is a girl that feels like she is beyond akward. Mia and her best friend Lily, played by Heather Matarazzo are often made fun of by Lana Thomas, played by Mandy Moore.
However, Mia's world is about to be turned upside down and she begins to long for the time when she was invisible. Mia unexpectedly receives a visit from her father's mother, the grandma she has never met. Mia's grandma, Clarisse Renaldi, played by the wonderfully talented Julie Andrews, informs Mia that she just happens to be the princess of the small country Genovia and is in line to be Queen, when her grandmother is no longer able to fulfill the obligation of being Queen. It turns out that Mia's father was the prince of Genovia, who renowned his birth rite in order to follow the love of his life to the U.S. and make a life with his newly found family.
However, when Genovia really needed him he returned home to fulfill his familial obligations. He soon died and Mia never got to meet the father she knows nothing about. Mia is obviously awe struck at this unbelievable news.
Queen Clarisse is now tasked with turning this unattractive and clumsy girl into a princess. After a lot of work Mia is transformed into a beautiful young woman. Now, Mia must go to school with her new look, where she is ridiculed, until her new birthright is outed and she finds herself becoming the most popular girl in school. Mia begins to let her new found popularity go to her head and begins to leave the people in her old life behind.
This movie is a real life fairytale about an unassuming young girl who finds out she is a princess. What girl hasn't had that fantasy?? This movie is absolutely adorable and one of my favorite Disney movies and I highly recommend it.
I haven't seen this movie in forever, but after thinking about how awesome and innovative this movie is I think I may have to go and watch it again. This movie is different from any movie I have ever seen, seeing as the storyline goes backward from the end of the movie to the beginning. This can be very confusing, but the director of this movie did a great job of tying every scene together, so as you are going backwards you begin to understand more and more of what is really going on with the film. I have never seen a movie that has gone from the end to the beginning, this is a very unique concept and the actors and director do a great job with this innovative film.
This story is about Leonard, played by Guy Pearce, a man who is suffering with the loss of his wife, after she is brutally murdered. This attack on Leonard and his wife, obviously as I said before killed his wife, and left him with a head injury that has several affected his memory. Leonard can't remember anything about his life that happens right before the moment that he and his wife were beaten.
As I explained earlier, this movie starts at the end of the movie and works it's way backward. This is an interesting way of viewing this movie because it puts you into the same situation that Leonard is, not knowing just what happened a moment before. Leonard has no short term memory anymore and every few minutes Leonard's memory resets and he goes back to square one to a moment right before his wife was killed. You can imagine just how frustrating this would be. Leonard has learned to cope with his frustrating shortcoming, by keeping notes and Polaroid pictures that give him information on what he has discovered about his wife's murder so far.
The only thing that keeps Leonard going is the search of the truth in solving the mystery of his wife's murder and getting revenge on the person that ruined his life.
This movie was so ahead of it's time and completely different from any other movies out there. This movie is over eight years old and I still haven't seen a movie that does what this movie does. I highly recommend it, in fact I think I am about to go watch it now.
This movie was really very funny. It had me laughing at some point in each scene that was played. I don't think I have seen a movie yet with Ben Stiller in it that hasn't made me laugh. I love actors that are so consistent with the movies they choose to be in that you know the movie will be good just because that actor has chosen to be in it. This is definitely one of Ben Stillers classic roles that he does such a great job playing.
The story is about Ben Stiller's character named Greg Focker (I mean his name is even funny!!) who is a nurse, yes I said it a male nurse. Greg has found the love of his life named Pam Byrnes, played by Teri Polo. Greg and Pam are in a pretty serious relationship and they move their relationship to the next level when Pam invites Greg to come home with her to meet her parents. This is a big step in any relationship, so Greg is obviously a little nervous. This is such a monumental event that Greg decides this will be the perfect time to ask Pam to marry him.
However, Greg plans get put on hold when he meets Pam's father who does not seem to want to give Greg a chance. Pam's dad Jack, is played by Robert DeNiro, is an ex cop who shows an obvious hatred for Pam's new boyfriend. Jack seems determined to prove to Pam that Greg is not good enough for her. On this visit Greg is put through several tests and put in some very awkward situations that seem to make him look worse and worse in the eyes of Pam's parents and even Pam herself. Jack even puts Greg through a lie detector test, that is just how insane and determined Pam's father is to find something wrong with Greg.
This story is so hilarious because it shows the funny situations that Greg is put into while trying to impress Pam's family that is so very determined not to be impressed by Greg. This movie is hilarious, but I expected nothing less from the fantastic Ben Stiller.
I was not a huge fan of this movie. It was really freaky, I mean a killer that is invisible is a pretty freaky thing. It makes you think about the kind of character you really have. I mean, if you were invisible and couldn't be caught because you couldn't be identified because...well...your invisible, would you obey the law if there was no chance you would get caught?? This is a great question that will truly test the content of your character. That is exactly what this movie deals with.
This is a science fiction thriller that stars Kevin Bacon who plays the scientist Sebastian Caine who is working on a super secret military experiment that can make a living being invisible. They have tested this concoction on a gorilla. The results of this testing have concluded that the gorilla is definitely invisible, but the longer she stays that way the more aggressive she becomes. The scientists backers decide that the invisible serum is still not right yet and it is too dangerous to test on a human being because of the aggressive affects that it has had on the gorilla so the men with the money decide they are going to shut the operation down.
However, Sebastian will not let go, and after the meeting he goes back to the underground secret lab and tells his fellow colleagues, including Linda McKay, played by Elizabeth Shue, also Sebastian's ex girlfriend, and Matt Kensington, played by Josh Brolin, that they have permission to progress to the testing of the serum on humans. Since there is not much time until he might be shut down by the head men, Sebastian volunteers to be the test subject for this serum.
While his colleagues are timid and unsure about this decision, Sebastian is adamant about his decision and will not take no for an answer. So, Sebastian is injected with the serum and he turns invisible. However, Sebastian soon finds that being invisible is completely liberating and begins to blur the lines of what is right and what is wrong because there is no way for him to be caught because he is invisible and he doesn't have to look himself in the mirror anymore and feel guilty for his crimes. The aggression that the gorilla experienced also begins to take Sebastian over and his colleagues are scared to death of this invisible man who seems to be losing his mind.
This story has a ridiculously scary concept. I mean, I would be terrified if there was an invisible killer running around. They could be right there with you and you wouldn't even know it until it was too late. This wasn't the greatest movie I have ever seen, but it definitely gave me a scare if that is what you are looking for.
Don't let this title fool you, there is nothing joyful about the ride that these three teenagers embark on. It is supposed to be all fun in games, but they had to bring along a cb radio and try and prank a truck driver who does not like to be messed with. This was a pretty scary movie and it was great because it wasn't all gory, yes there was some blood, but the gorey scenes did not take over the movie making that the only reason it was scary. This actually had suspense and thrill that kept you guessing and on the edge of your seat the entire film.
The story is about three college students who are on their summer vacation. Paul Walker plays Lewis Thomas who is a freshman in college who plans a summer road trip for him and the girl of his affection Venna, played by Leelee Sobieski. Lewis's brother Fuller, played by the hilarious Steve Zahn crashes the trip and decides to tag along. While this puts a damper in Lewis's plans to get closer to Venna he doesn't let it get him down. Lewis picks Venna up at her own college and they embark on the trip that will change their lives.
Fuller brings along a CB radio that the boys use to listen in on some pretty interesting conversations of truckers looking for some fun with the ladies. The boys decide that it will be funny to prank the truck drivers, by pretending to be a girl looking for a good time named Candy Kane. The boys catch a trucker named Rusty Nail who is very intrigued with Candy and seems to have a genuine interest in getting to know Candy better. However, the boys take this practical joke a little too far. They set up a meeting with the trucker and "Candy Kane" at the hotel that they are staying at. They tell the trucker that Candy will be in the room next door to there's. They think it will just be absolutely hilarious when the unsuspecting trucker shows up and finds some random people in the hotel room where his precious Candy is supposed to be.
However, the next morning when the pranksters set out to embark on the rest of their trip they find that the people in the next-door hotel room have been brutally murdered. The group absolutely freaks out and heads on their way to the next point on their trip; They try and forget about this awful occurrence, however, the truck driver will not let them forget. Rusty Nail call for Candy over the radio and obviously the boys are too frightened to answer. The group feels safe enough because I mean how could this truck driver possibly know that they were the ones playing a trick on him. Well, boy were they wrong. Some how Rusty Nail figures out who they are and they are soon in a drive for their life trying to get away from this psycho killer that they have pushed over the edge.
This story will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time. You will be scared and extremely entertained. I definitely recommend this film for your viewing pleasure
This movie is full of laughs; I don't think I went 5 minutes without laughing at something in this movie. Steve Carrell is always hilarious and is even funnier with the help of his silly co-stars, which include Anne Hathaway and The Rock. I was expecting this movie to be more of an Austin powers type film that was over the top stupid, but it was actually an intriguing story that kept you guessing and in suspense while still being ridiculously funny. I really did enjoy it. However, I must say that it was a little long, while it was funny, I did find myself looking at the clock because the movie just seemed to go on and on forever.
The story is about a Control analyst that is determined to be an agent in the field. Steve Carrell plays Max, an extremely intelligent and gifted analyst who finally, on the eighth try passes his field agent test with flying colors. However, because Max is so good at being an analyst the chief decides that he cannot allow max to leave his position, because in doing so the operation would greatly suffer. Max is extremely disheartened at this news, but does not give up on his dream.
The enemy of the United States that has its headquarters in Russia called Chaos invades the Control building and steals a list of all of the field agents that are currently on assignment. Soon control agents all over the world are being killed. Agent 23 played by the Rock is ready to get out their and kick some butt. He happens to be one of the best agents on the team. However, since his identity has been compromised, not even he can leave the control's safe house.
The director decides that max and agent 99, played by Anne Hathaway who has recently undergone plastic surgery completely changing her appearance and leaving her invulnerable to an attack because the list contains her old appearance, will have to go out and stop Chaos before they kill every unsuspecting control agent out there. At first Max gets himself into more trouble than he bargained for and agent 99 is forced to continually save his butt, however, eventually Max gets the hang of things and actually begins being an asset to the team.
This movie, as I said before is full of laughs, and actually has an entertaining an intriguingly good storyline. It is not a dumb comedy it combines the perfect mix of laughs and seriousness. Although it is a little longer than it should be I do highly recommend this film.
I thought this movie was pretty cute it reminded me of a mix between Bring it on and set it off. This movie had some interesting characters that were played by some semi famous actors and actresses. I enjoyed the movies unique storyline and concept. It was a sort of suspense mystery chick flick. I mean it wasn't the best movie in the world, but it serves its purpose, which is to entertain, and it definitely did that. If you are not a chick flick person this movie is probably not for you however.
This movie is about a group of varsity cheerleaders who are the most popular girls in the school. However, when their captain become pregnant with her boyfriends baby and decides to keep that baby their worlds are turned upside down. The pregnant captain Dianne, played by Marley Shelton, tells her parents of her predicament and her decision to keep the baby and marry her high school sweetheart. Her parents are less than thrilled and kick Dianne out of their home unless she changes her decision. Jack, the father, played by James Marsden is also thrown out of his home and the two are forced to find a less than perfect apartment to live in.
These kids are just in high school so the money is not flowing in. They are still attending high school and Jack is working as a clerk in a video store trying to provide for his wife and soon to be child. Dianne finds herself stressing out about money, until she devises a plan to rob a bank and solve all of her money problems.
Dianne enlists the help of her squad members and best friends Kansas, Cleo, Lucy, Hannah and new comer Fern who is forced upon them by the man who sells them their weapons. The girls begin studying all of the different robbery movies out there to learn what to do and not to do. Kansas even visits her birth mother in prison to get some advice. When it is time to rob the bank everything goes smoothly, until an eye witness comes forward, who just happens to be a jv cheerleader that the girls absolutely hate. In order to shut her up they give her Dianne's spot on the cheerleading team as captain, but how long can they go without getting caught? I guess you will just have to watch it and find out for yourself.
This movie is full of fun and surprises. If you like chick flicks and crime drama mysteries than I suggest you watch this entertaining film.
This is an extremely entertaining movie that I really enjoyed. It is a crime thriller that is also very funny. This cast of prominent actors who play their fantastic parts wonderfully is pretty long. We have the very attractive George Clooney who plays the main character Danny Ocean who has just been released from a long stay in prison and is on his way back into the crime game. The especially good looking Brad Pitt who plays Rusty Ryan who is Danny's old friend in the crime world who is always eating something.
Danny organizes a crew of thieves and criminals to pull off the biggest job of the century. They are going to rob three of biggest Las Vegas casinos' one underground vault that is holding about 150 million dollars. The rest of Danny's crew includes some really great and talented actors. There's Matt Damon who plays Linus the talented pick pocket and is new to the group, the man with the money that will be providing the equipment needed to pull the job off Reuben Tishkoff played by Elliott Gould, the black jack dealer that already works in one of the casinos Frank, played by Bernie Mac; the senior of the group Saul played by Carl Reiner who has been in the game for years; the British explosions expert Basher, played by the funny Don Cheadle, the technical genius Dell, played by Eddie Jemison, the rude immature brothers Virgil, played by Casey Affleck, and Turk, played by Scott Caan; and the professional acrobat who bend in some very compromising positions Yen, played by Shaoba Qin.
All of these criminals devise the perfect plan that takes a lot of planning, time, and money to pull off. All of the casinos that they are robbing happen to belong to Terry Benedict, played by Andy Garcia. Danny has a personal vendetta against Benedict because he is seeing Danny's wife Tess that was not about to wait around for him while he was in prison. This beautiful woman is played by the greatly talented Julia Roberts. Danny has an ulterior motive while planning this huge heist, he is determined to show Tess the real Benedict in order to win her back.
This movie has some great scenes, they go to a lot of trouble and use a lot of technological items to pull this job off. This movie is full of excitement, suspense, intrigue, and love making it an excellent film that I know you will enjoy.
