I have been going to weight watchers meeting for 10 weeks now and have been very interested in trying as many of their products as possible. I won a box of these cookies at my weekly meeting and was quite impressed with them.
They come in sealed packets of two cookies within the box, which makes it easy to stick in your bag for a snack when you are out. Two cookies are 1.5 points which means that they are great for a low points snack.
They are quite hard and crunchy in consistancy, which I liked but many may not. They don't have a lot of chocolate chips in them, but I found it enough. They have a nice chocolate taste and I liked them for dunking in my tea.
The packaging has a nice picture of the cookies on it, although it makes it look like there are more choc chips in them than there actually is. The writing on the box is nice and clear and easily understood. It clearly states how many points are in the product as well as showing nutritional infomation.
These cookies are available from most supermarkets and there are also other flavours. The cookies are available for about £1.50 depending on where you purchase them. I think that this is a reasonable price for them.
Overall, I would say that this is a good product and is worth trying, although don't expect them to have loads of choc chips!
Robinson Fruit and Barley
What is it?
Robinsons Fruit and Barley is a yummy fruit squash drink. It is low in saturated fat and calories and has no added sugar.. It comes in a variety of yummy flavours including orange, summer fruits and pear and apple.
What do I think of it?
I discovered Robinsons fruit and barley when I recently started the weight watchers diet. I want to find a squash drink that was low in calories and didn't contain any weight watchers points. I previously drank a lot of ribena but found that this was quite high in sugar so tried fruit and barley as a substitute for this. I have tried a number of different flavours including orange, summer fruits and apple and pear and all of them were yummy. It does state on the bottle that there are 20 servings in a bottle but you can get much more than this out of one bottle of squash. The squash is quite strong so you only need to add a tiny bit to water. Robinsons fruit and barley is also quite well priced normally around £1 a bottle. Each 250ml serving only contains 6 calories!
This game is fab! I bought it because I already had mario kart and had played sonic games in the past and liked the idea of having all the characters in one game. Plus I bought it just before the olympics to get into the spirit of the games!
The game has lots of different sports sections to it. Some of them are available straight away but you have to unlock the rest. It includes sports like track and field events, swimming, rowing, archery, trampoling, and fencing.
The graphics are quite good and it lets you replay the event after you've taken part which is quite good. The game is easy to play and it tells you which controls are needed before each event. It also has a awards ceremony at the end of each event which is quite cool at first, to see you character getting their medal!
The game makes you get up and jump around a bit which is good, makes it a bit more exciting. I do tend to get bored of games quite quickly but I've had this one quite a while and its still very entertaining. I think I paid about £35 for this game, which is just about the going rate for a decent wii game. I think it is worth what I paid for it without a doubt!
This a refreshing, healthy drink that is packed with lots of fruit and is available in many great flavours. The drink comes in very attractive, cheeky looking, cartons and bottles, which are recyclable. Small and large sizes are available. The information on the back of the packaging is presented in a 'jokey' manner and is easy to read and understand.
All of the healthy ingredients that are put into these drinks are sourced by innocent so that they are as environmentally friendly as possible and only transport them over land or sea. The drinks are also 100% natural fruit, no sugar or water is added to them. The smoothies are also great if you are trying to keep to a healthy diet as they contain 2 portions of the 5 fruit or veg you should eat a day! They will provide you with plenty of vitamins and minerals and won't make you fat. When you buy innocent products you are also donating to charity as 10% of their profits goes to the Innocent foundation, which helps rural development.
The product itself is lovely and thick and tastes really nice. The small bottles are good as they are suitable for sticking in your handbag when you are on the go. The smoothies are a little expensive, normally about £1.20 for the little bottle, but I do think that they are worth paying for. Overall, the product is fun and the company does its bit for the environment which is fab.
I've also recently discovered that the innocent smoothies company has a charity knitting campaign throughout the year. Innocent smooties provide knitting patterns for tiny bobble hats which sit on top of their bottles on their website. They invite people to knit these little hats and send them into them. They then go on to sell these hats on top of their bottles during the winter to raise money for Age Concern.
Coca cola is a fizzy soft drink which is great tasting and is sold in a variety of locations in more than 200 countries. It was invented in 1886 in America and was firstly developed as a medicine for headaches, amongst other things, before later being sold as a drink. The product is a deep rich brown in colour. Most people will know the product as just "coke" and it now comes in lots of different variations such as diet and no sugar. It was first sold in bottles and cans were not sold until 1955. It is instantly recognised by its famous red logo. The company have always kept the recipe secret meaning that no other product will ever taste the same.
I think that the product does taste much better than other brands of coke do. It is also sold at a reasonable price in a variety of sizes, meaning that it is suitable for most occasions. A can retails at rough 50p-60p and a small bottle at about £1. The product stays fizzy and fresh for quite a while after opening and does not become instantly flat like other brands do. The only complaint I have with regular coke, is the amount of sugar in the drink, therefore I would opt for the no sugar variety, especially if giving it to children.
Baileys was first developed by the Irish by combining dairy farming and distilling. The cream that goes into the product comes from a special flock of 40,000 irish cows. The irish milk that is used is turned into cream within 36 hours to keep it fresh, it is then mixed with Irish whiskey.
This product is a very rich, thick and creamy alcoholic drink. It can be served in a number of ways including on the rocks or neat in shots. The drink is a lovely creamy, butterscotch kind of colour and looks very inviting! The drink has a lovely cream flavour, but does taste quite strongly of alcohol. It is nicely packaged in a heavy, dark coloured bottle with a green and gold coloured design which clearly states the brand name. The product now comes in many different variety such as mint flavoured. These variations tend to be available more around Christmas, which tends to be when it is drank most frequently. The product is available in different sized bottles which generally retail between about £9 and £16. I do think that this is a little bit expensive for a spirit but it is worth it.
What are they?
Pedigree marrowbone are a type of dog biscuit. They are round in shape. They have a hard, crunchy outside which looks a bit like cracker. The inside of the biscuit is meaty marrow bone. These biscuits are designed to be as a treat to supplement your dogs diet, but I don't think they are supposed to be a main part of it.
What are they like?
My dog has always loved these biscuits from being a puppy. The biscuits are an average size so you can feed them as an every day treat without fear of over feeding your pet. Because of their small size they are good for sticking in your pocket as a treat for you dog when you go out for walks. They come in a yellow box which is medium sized and tends to last my dog quite a while. They are reasonably priced and are available from supermarkets and pet shops.
What are they?
Dentasticks are a dog treat chew which helps to clean your dogs teeth. They come in meaty flavours such as chicken. They are sold in a blue and silver foil pack. You can buy them in the foil pack of 6 or in a larger box pack which has several foil packs inside.
What are they like?
The chew has a nice strong meaty smell and smells really nice and tasty. They are a funny shape, kind of a long stick with 3 big ridges on the sides! They do a very good job of keeping your dog's breath fresh and it really does work in keeping your dogs teeth clean. My border collie hates having his teeth brushed (just tends to chew the brush) and we had tried everything including meat flavoured dog toothpaste and couldn't find anyway of cleaning his teeth. He loves dentasticks and goes nuts for them. He has one a day and they do clean his teeth. They are available in supermarkets and pet shops and are a reasonable price for the job they do!
What are they?
Bone shaped dog biscuits which are gravy flavoured. They are made by pedgigree and come in a yellow box with a red design. This biscuits are meant to be used as treats for your dog.
What are they like?
The biscuits have a strong gravy smell and smell quite tasty! They are a reasonable size to give your dog as a treat on a regular basis as they are not too big. They come in a medium size box which seems to last our border collie quite a while. These treats are by far his favourite biscuits and he goes nuts for them. Because of their size they are quite handy for popping in your pocket when out for a walk. The product itself is quite reasonably priced and they are available in supermarkets and pet shops. This product is meant to be a supplement to your dogs diet or a treat but I don't think it should be the main part of it.
This product is a complete dry dog food which is suitable for dogs with sensitive stomachs. It features a selection of different shaped, flavoured pieces. This product has been developed so that it does not include any ingredients that may cause an allergic reaction. It does not contain red meat, diary, gluten, wheat, or soya. It is made with turkey protein which dogs will enjoy but is still easily digestible. It also contains fibre to help the dogs digestion and omega 3 and 6 oils which keep a dogs coat nice and glossy.
We bought this food as our bordie collie has always had a very sensitive stomach. When he was younger the vet reccommended that we feed him something bland, so that he didn't get an upset stomach. We wondered if it would be suitable for him being a dry food as he has always been fed on canned meat. He didn't have any problems with this food and seemed to love it as he wolfs it down every day. His stomach has been a lot better since starting on this food. He seems to like the meaty chunks best. I would highly recommend this food to anyone who has a dog with stomach problems.

Nectar is a loyalty programme which allows you to earn points in a number of shops as well as online. One of the major companies connected with nectar is sainsburys where you can collect 2 points for every pound you spend. You can also earn one point every time you re-use a carrier bag. You can then save up the points and redeem them for rewards or money off your shopping. 500 points is worth roughly £2.50
Whats the website like?
The website is very easy to navigate and has a very useful estores section which allows you to earn points with a wide variety of online retailers. This includes sites like ebay. You can also browse rewards online and can also order them. The website often has special offers where you can earn extra points. You can also view your points statement online.
What do I think?
The nectar scheme and its website are a fab idea, which means you can earn rewards for just doing your normal shopping. The website is easy to use. The points system can take some getting used to though!
This programme is on bbc one on friday nights at 10.35pm. The show features, of course, talk show host Jonathan Ross along with his house band "four poofs and a piano", who play humorous songs before each guest comes on stage. The show is made up of a number of guest appearances, which include personalities from tv, sport and film. It normally ends with a music performance from one of the latest bands. The show is normally very amusing and features some excellent guests. The programme is roughly an hour long, which to be honest is long enough so that it's not too long. Jonathan Ross makes a point of commenting on recent events that have happened over the week. He is an excellent interviewer and makes all the interviews very unique and interesting. The show itself seems to run in series where it is shown for a few months and has a few months off. This stops the show from getting old or boring.
Recent guests included Daniel Craig, who was interviewed about his latest starring role in the new Bond film "quantum of solace". The interview included clips of the new film to give the audience a taster. Jonathon asked him lots of questions about places he had visited to make the film and whether he had enjoyed making it. He also asked Daniel if he would donate a Bond watch to Children in Need, which he did. This is a good example of one of the shows excellent interviews.
When I was looking for a renewal for my car insurance I got a quote from more than which was considerably cheaper than my existing insurer. I checked the policy over carefully and read their terms and conditions in order to check that myself and my car were eligible to get a quote. Everything seemed to be fine so I took out the quote and was very happy until I recieved my policy details through the post. Firstly they managed to list my father (who I have as an additional driver) as my son even though they clearly listed his date of birth and it was obvious that this wasn't possible. Secondly, the paperwork stated I was insured because I have an imboliser on my car - alarm bells started ringing because my car doesn't have one fitted and I had never stated that it did. When I rang more than all they said was they couldn't insure me because my car didn't have the imboliser and that it was in their terms on their website. Having read them I knew it wasn't! It was in tiny writing in a different part of the site. Fair enough if it had been listed as one of the criteria for a quote but it wasn't. It then took them 2 weeks to return the cash to my bank leaving me very angry and £500 worse off! Stay away - if you must go with them ring up and check the details because their website is rubbish!
