First time I've been a 'celebrated dooyooer of the week'.. very exciting! Thanks everyone who read, rated and nominated my Robbie review. Much appreciated!

I have been here on Dooyoo since November 08. I'm by no means a pro reviewer yet but I like to think I'm on my way. I have been looking through some of my earlier reviews and I have to admit they stink. (one of them STILL has no reads!) I was a 150 word churner at the start, and I see there's a lot of new members doing the same on here at the moment. All I can say is don't be too harsh on them. I took a while to work out what the dooyoo 'community' was all about (and had a few helpful prompts from some members which shall remain nameless!) and also was unsure what to say in a review to make it 'VU'. I think you need to write a few stinkers first, then the only way is up!

I like to think I rate fairly. Just because a review is 300 words long, doesn't make it 'not useful' in the same way that a 2000 word review could be utter drivel. I rate reviews well if I think they are useful in helping me make a buying decision about the product they are reviewing and not if it was better or worse than the review I just read that was on an entirely different subject. You simply can't say as much about a packet of crisps as you can about a holiday to Egypt and waffling is 'not useful' to anyone ..(I'm waffling now aren't I?)

Also one more thing.. I love the ads you find underneath some of the reviews. As I mentioned I'm been revisiting some reviews and under my 'General' review (the one all about me) there was adverts for The General on DVD (fair enough), a hack saw and a dildo...
