Olay refreshing toner is very good for removing oil, make-up and dirt. I've been using Olay refreshing toner for about six years and I happen to like it. The price is good at about £3.19 for 7.20 ounces. I like it because it's good to use on all skin types and my skin is very oily and sometimes it's not easy to find a good toner for oily skin. This one works very well. The witch hazel leaves a clean sensation on the skin and makes my face and neck feel really refreshed after an afternoon shower at the gym. It's not hard on the skin and you don't feel dried afterwards.
I think this a good and simple skin care product to start with for someone who wants a not so expensive cleanser and toner that refreshes the skin. I love it and will continue to use it as part of my daily beauty care routine.
I love OPI nail varnish. I have to say it is probably the best one out there. What I love is that they have loads of exciting colours to choose from. There's a fun colour for everyone. I work in the City and attend a lot of functions after work and it's easy to find colours that will work well from day to evening. Thank goodness like a lot of varnishes it does not chip as fast. I can wear this colour for a week or so before noticing even the slightest chip.
You definitely get what you pay for but it's very expensive at £10 a pop! Buying it online doesn't help much either as you still have to pay for postage. So when buying a bottle of OPI I have to be very careful in the colours I choose and know that I will want it in the long run. Sometimes I buy a colour and decide after awhile it's just not the right shade for me and end up storing it or giving it away. At this price you can't give this stuff away. I have learned that it's best to stay with basic OPI as they do have another Nicole by OPI but the quality is not as good and you're still paying the same price. I will continue to splurge on OPI from time to time. It's prefect!
First of all why is the nail varnish so expensive? It's so overpriced wherever you go. I've checked Boots, Sainsbury's, Superdrug and a few other shops and the price is still pretty much the same everywhere.
Secondly you are not getting what you pay for. Not sure if something changed in the formula to make the varnish but whatever it is it's not good. Revlon like so many others has bad quality. There used to be a time when I could paint my nails and it would stay on for at least a week. Paint your nails today and three days later you've got serious chipping. At first I thought maybe it was because I was doing the dishes without gloves and maybe the water and soap where causing the heavy chipping but that was not the case. Regardless of what colour you buy it turns out the same. Painting several coats does not help much either and my nails are not long.
I even went as far as contacting Revlon because I don't like the idea of spending £6.59 on a bottle of varnish that works like a £1 bottle. I was told that nothing had changed in the chemicals and that I should apply at least three coats. Well I was doing that to begin with so their advice did not help much. It doesn't help to wait until I can buy Revlon varnish in the States either as the quality is still the same.
There are other nicer varnishes out there but seriously expensive. Don't think I will go for this brand any longer. Just doesn't satisfy.
Just tried the hi-shine lip treatment from The Body Shop and I usually love a lot of their products but have to say that this one was just mediocre. It's a bit too thick and sticky leaving the lips feeling a bit heavy even when applied lightly and especially on a warm day. Could be too much if you kiss someone.
The shimmery effect looks good. There are times when the oil and colour separate and when you squeeze the tube you're just getting oil. I guess it's serves well if you're without proper lip balm. However I do love the fruity scent that comes out. Not sure if I would recommend this one. You might want to try the Victoria's Secret concession in one of the larger airports like Heathrow if you are wanting a very good lip gloss that's not too thick and sticky. Not really worth it if you want something good.
I am a big fan of the Palmer's skin cream line and I have used several of their products for many years. The cocoa butter formula is one of the best out there and works well on dry, rough skin. It leaves the skin feeling very rich and smooth and it's easy to use year round. The cocoa butter formula is great for evening out the skin tone.
The texture is very smooth and soft and not too difficult to get out of the bottle. Sometimes it's easy to use the old flip top bottle when it comes to creams like this instead of the pump. Very creamy but not runny. Even better it has an amazing rich scent that's just right and not overpowering and leaving you smelling like cheap plastic like some of the other brands out there. The scent is just right.
Comes in a nice size bottle and at a good price considering it works like something more expensive.
Palmer's makes such wonderful skin care products and I recently tried this moisturizing body oil. It's great and leaves the skin feeling silky smooth and smells wonderful! My skin can get a bit rough in cold weather and this body oil works wonders. I like to use it to help reduce the appearance of scars, stretch marks and dry skin. It moisturizes dry, itchy skin and stays on well. I love the fact that it goes on well as some oils can be too watery or too greasy and not as easy to apply.
The Cocoa Butter body oil also is therapeutic and works well in the shower and bath.
It's a great combination of cocoa butter, vitamin E and Jojoba oil that gives you healthy radiant looking skin with a nice glow. I love to use this after a shower before bed. The scent is amazing.
The price is very good at around £ 4.50 for a 150ml bottle and easy to find in most shops. Worth the buy!
I don't usually like to purchase shampoos and conditioners outside of a salon as many of them are too alcohol based and do nothing more than dry the hair out and eventually lead to damage. Over the years I have tried several shampoos and conditioners like Pantene (which is one of the worst) and Suave but I have to say that I am really in love with Seductively Straight by Herbal Essences. It leaves my hair very fresh and clean with a great smell. Even better I love that this product actually works on very curly hair. My hair very thick and curly and it helps so much.
So for anyone who has ethnic hair and especially African don't think this product won't work for you because so many of the others have failed--this stuff actually works to give what it says, Dangerously and Seductively Straight hair. Another great thing is that it's not over the top expensive and sometimes you can find a voucher for money off.
I love Juicy Couture! After receiving a sample of this perfume in a swag bag I loved it and had to buy it! I also had samples for other Juicy Couture and other fragrances but this one is the one that I loved most. The smell is classic, flirty and sophisticated. One thing that I love about the smell is that it's not too overpowering. The scent is very spring like with various notes of tuberose, vanilla, mandarin, apple and Patchouli. Great for everyday wear. My boyfriend loves this scent on me and it's a romantic scent that I have been complimented on over and over again.
Another beautiful thing about this fragrance is the gorgeous classic bottle that it comes in and will make a great accent piece on your vanity. The price is a bit steep but well worth the splurge on a perfume that lasts and gets you compliments.
I love my new Apple I-phone and coming from a previous smartphone. I knew what i wanted. especially with my ipod having broke on the way to pick this up. You know by now what an iphone is and what it can do, and honestly its just like the commercials say. The internet is incredibly fast even off of wifi. Its actually faster than my Dell computer. One problem that I do have with this phone is the battery life which is very short. Not good when you are on holiday outside the country. The sound quality is about whats to be expected out of a smartphone, decent. Overall if your really looking for a new mp3 player, phone, and even a netbook just buy this and combine all of them!
At first I had reservations about buying this phone when speaking to friends who had one of the earlier editions. I heard several people say they had problems restoring from backup, by I installed as new and just let the phone get all my contacts off my exchange server and resync all my music and apps with iTunes. Worked flawlessly. The video camera is AMAZING. The quality is incredible, both picture and voice. By far the best part. The voice control is sweet, but can be finicky at times. Worth it if you run though (can activate it by holding down the button on the headset). Also, the Nike + support is FANTASTIC. By far the best part is how fast it is. Most programmes open instantly. Webpages are extremely fast. I am honestly very impressed. I would recommend it to anyone."
The Cheesecake Factory is one of my favourite places to dine when visiting Dallas or Atlanta. The Cheesecake Factory North Park was the last restaurant I ate at. What I love about this place is that there is so much to choose from on the menu. The dessert menu is a must with a large selection of about twenty plus cheesecakes. I would recommend the Portobello burger; it's very tasty. As for cheesecake recommendations I love the Snickerdoodle, Dulce de Leche, Fresh Strawberry or Tiramisu. The Lemon- Raspberry is not as good as it sounds, a little too spongy.
For lunch I had the spicy meat pizza which consists of Italian Sausage, prosciutto, Pepperoni, spicy salami, caramelized onions and tomato. It comes with a large garden salad. The pizza is so delicious. I also had a lovely pomegranate margarita and a scrumptious slice of fresh banana crème cheesecake to go.
The restaurant is quite large as most of them are so you will be fine whether you are with a group of friends or just dining alone. The Cheesecake Factory also offers tables for parties of about to twenty people. I must say it is a cosy atmosphere.
I take several trips to different places in Europe so I decided to purchase a new camera. So far I am happy with my purchase of this camera by Fujifilm. It takes beautiful colorful pictures and gives you several different options like the more expensive professional cameras. This camera is great for the zoom. The camera actually does a great job even with the digital zoom. For the money, I would recommend buying this camera, unless you are a serious photographer, then I'd recommend spending a bit more on a different camera (perhaps stay away from all mega-zoom cameras for that matter). Am still learning everything it will do, but have taken great photos with it. Looks like it will be easy to use.
This is one of the best purchases of a camera I have had ever! Great value for the money, compact. You will great a great value for your money. Brings some resources only found on full pro cameras. Highly recommend!"
The only drawback is that you have to manually popup the flash to turn it on. But other than that, I find this camera to be outstanding. You will be very happy with this one.
I always enjoy eating at LaTasca. They have a great deal on tapas for a tenner. This is a great place to go at lunch or after work. The Portsmouth location is conveniently located at Gunwharf Quays and is a delight after a few hours of shopping.
There is a lot to choose from on the menu and all the selections are quite mouth watering. My friends and I usually order the sharers selection of white bait fish, chicken wings, spicy Spanish meatballs, Valencia Paella and Calamari.
This is a great place to go if your in the mood for really good Spanish food. It's also great for a party. The service is fast and friendly and lucky enough you don't have to wait a very long time for service like you do with a lot of the other chain restaurants that offer special lunch time deals. This is a place I will continue to come back to.
London hotels are not easy to find so unfortunately we had to settle on the Byron Hotel. This hotel is in the Bayswater area and is convenient to Central London and close to a few good restaurants and shopping centres.
A month ago we spent two nights in this hotel in town to attend a concert. Maybe it was the company in which we booked it through but we received a basement room. The room was clean with a comfortable bed but we were next too the noisy airing unit which made it almost unbearable to sleep once it kicked on which fainted the constant buzzing sound of the above lights when the door card was placed in the wall. Removing the card meant no electricity which meant no television.
Things got worse around 6am with stomping from the kitchen staff above the room and from the stairwell outside the room.
Breakfast was just mediocre without a lot of interesting choice. Yoghurt, cold cereal, tinned fruit, juice, coffee, cold ham and toast.
I also think that housekeeping could pay more attention to the windows. Just because it is on the basement floor doesn't mean I guest won't pull back the curtains
I don't think I would return to this hotel and if I did I would have to have a room on a top floor away from the constant noise. Also I don't think I would recommend it. If you have can afford it please go elsewhere. This place was £170 for two nights.
The only advantage to this place was the location.
I have had this phone for a few months and I really like it. I found it on Amazon for a good price on a twin pack of phones. It's good to have one on both levels of the house. The size is not too big or too small. It has a good design and colour.
I chose this phone because it comes from a brand that I trust. It hasn't given me any problems so far. The ringer has several tones and is loud enough. I also like the fact that I can receive text messages on these phones. The screen is bright which makes it easier to see numbers being dialled and incoming calls on the caller ID.
The only thing I dislike are that the buttons are quite close on the keypad and it's easy to hit the wrong button when putting in numbers if you are putting in an account number in a hurry.
Other than that this was a best buy for me. It suits my needs at home.
Everyone loves a great deal and we found one at the Pitcher and Piano. We visited our local P&P in Winchester last weekend and had a very good meal. This is one of my favourite places to dine in Winchester. I like this place because they offer a good lunch deal at a not so over the top price like a lot of places. Not only that but they give you nice meal for what you pay. One of my favourite choices on the £5 daily list is the roasted Mediterranean vegetable and feta wrap and falafels in pitta. These meals are lovely and they are not too heavy and perfect for a quick lunch.
Over the weekend when my boyfriend and I visited we tried the P&P sharer which is a sizeable platter for two people and best of all you can get two large glasses of wine and the rest of the bottle for free. This is wonderful if you go for the house wine.
There are so many choices on the P&P menu and I would certainly recommend anyone who enjoys nice food at a good price.
I also like the look of the restaurant. It was nice and clean but some of the worn seating could be changed out. Other than that it's decent eating.
