Saw this in Primark for just one pound one day last year and so snapped one up quickly (dont need to be told twice LOL) and was very eager to use it so replaced my old one that is always in my handbag with this one. The light on it was great and shone just the right amount, almost like facing towards the sun, that natural type of light I would describe it as. It slid up instead of a flip one which in my opinion was an advantage as the flip ones would always seem to snap on me :( booo!
Anyways I used this super lots and also found it a great product for when removing hair from the intimate region as it gave adequate sight with the biggish mirror and light aswell. The batteries never did actually run out, even after 11 months of use! And it was being used atleast twice a day! But sadly, after 11 months of great helpfulness I was sliding it up and the poor thing came in half and was broken :( Now I've been looking for one for the past couple of months each time I go into town and into Primark but they never have them :( will still keep my eyes out all the time though as for a pound it gave such help to me :) RECOMMENDED! :)
Primark are well known for their ridiculously low prices and are loved by many for their clothing and shoe ranges, but how many people love their makeup range aswell? I'm guessing a lot! As when I am in Primark it is usually a very busy place anyways but the makeup section bit is always overcrowded (a little annoying but worth it fot he low prices and good quality). I have tried nearly all of the Primark makeup range and am highly impressed with nearly all of it. I noticed 2 pots of shimmer dust on sale for 50p (Yes just 50P - BARGAIN!!) So snapped them up (with loads of other stuff aswell) They always seem to have stuff on sale in the makeup area so always worth a look. Anyways, this stuff is brill! I will compare the shimmer dust to better known brands such as Collection 2000 and the more expensive Barry M - it really is just as good. You only need a little bit to add colour to your eyes, but if you want a really intense look then you can just build it up. It doesnt make a mess and is easily removed with plain water yet it doesnt seem to fade or crease on your eyelids. I really do rate this a high quality product and have since been back and now own these nifty little shimmer pots in 6 colours! My fav is a lilac shade, with hot pink following close behind for those hot summer days :) Also found that the white one works great as a highlighter for cheekbones so its a very durable and multi-use product. But them when you see them as they get snapped up quickly! :D
These tesco value noodle snack pots are available in a few basic flavours - there is chicken and mushroom, beef, and also a curry one. There could be more flavours but these are the only ones that I know and have tried. I'm talking about the chicken and mushroom one today. in a basic white pot with basic writing on this helps to keep the cost down, which Tesco pass onto us as these nifty little snack pots are only 25P!! They did previously be 12p but in the past 2 years seem to have doubled in price -BAHHH at inflation, but still, 25P I will not complain! :D
Anyway, you make it up the same way you do any other snack pots - first boil the kettle then fill to the line and leave for a few mins before serving. Unlike the more expensive brands of chicken and mushroom flavour snack pots there is no sachet of soy sauce, but I'm not entirely sure you need it, and if you do want a little kick then I recommend buying Tesco's bottle of soy sauce for around 40p and then you have it handy for all the times you have a value noodle pot haha. Anyway after leaving the pot for a few mins give it all a good stir and then you can eat. The noodles are nice and soft, I was dubious the first time I bought them thinking they were going to be rock hard but I was soooo wrong haha. The directions are adequate so that the soupy liquid at the bottom isn't too much, though I do find its best to use a little less than stated. I think these are a really great snack and are so quick and easy to make! Ideal for students aswell I'd say. Anyway, if you haven't tried them then I think you should! :)
Wow. This has to be the WORST cola I have ever tasted in my whole entire life! I like to give every brand of cola a try no matter how cheap or disgusting it may look so dispite this looking cheap and like watered down sewage I thought I'd give it benefit of the doubt and buy it. Hahaha one of the worst purchases I have EVER made! When you open it, you get a little tiny fizz noise with not so much as a rise of fizz in the drink whatsoever! The smell is a little (UNDER-exaggeration there) off putting, smelling like something between toilet cleaner, rain water and vinegar! Wheb pouring into glass you dont get any bubbles which I find disappointing.
Now the most important bit - the taste! ---- Amazingly this tastes exactly like it smells, so imagine toilet cleaner mixed with rain water and malt vinegar and you have the taste of this cola. I know I know what did I expect for 18p, but to be honest I am an optimist and this just totally burst my colafizz bubble. On the plus side, as cola is great for cleaning toilets I thought I would put the remainder of the bottle(s) to good use so cleaned the toilet with it and got an amazingly shiny toilet bowl. So I actually do continue to buy this every couple of weeks, but solely for cleaning the toilet with. Bad for dirnking, good for cleaning :D
I am an avid 'cola-taster' and will try every brand possible if it makes cola. I don't agree that the most expensive are the best AT ALL and think that they DO NOT "all taste the same" as some people say.
Barr cola is not widely available, mostly in the corner shops around my area, but thats an awful lot of shops so I guess it IS available quite commonly.
I've only ever seen it in cans or in 2 litre bottles. When you open either the can or the bottle you get a good fizz sound and the fizz rises well. The taste of the cola is mainly an average taste, but the fizz still remains in your drink for a while before it goes flat. The big bottle (two litres) seems to go flat after 2 days on average in the fridge, but for 90p I wont complain, especially as it's mostly gone by then and if its not then I wont worry too much as the price is just so good. Quenches thirst quickly and is great for mixing with alcohol. I think that I wouldnt go out my way to buy this but if I saw it in a shop I would buy a can. As the cans have a slightly nicer taste than the bottles do. Overall, I'g give this Barr Cola a rating of 6/10.
I'll get straight to it, this product is probably one of THE best makeup products in the makeup world! It's average price is fantastic at just 4.99 or sometimes on promotion for 3.99! The colours and shades available are suitable for all skintypes for the fairest to the darkest and the dryest to the oiliest. I've tried a few shades out and found that Ivory seems to suit me and my skin the best. Its coverage is rather light and you can build it up more if needed. So it's great for combination skin like mine with an oily Tzone. You dont need to use a lot so it lasts for a very long time before having to re stock. The fact it contains mineral pigments is great because it does not clog pores. It also does not fade away quickly, feels so light on your skin you can sometimes forget you're wearing any! I really recommend this to anyone and everyone because it is just such a versatile, brilliant product so for flawless skin give this simple, cheap and easy powder a try. The name perfecting minerals doesnt even give it justice! 11/10!! :)
Collection 2000 big fake mascara is widely available for £4.99 on average or sometimes on promotion at numerous stores. I bought Ultra Black as my eyelashes are already quite dark and so wanted something that you could really tell the difference on. The colour of the mascara itself it actually very good and is actually ultra black just like it claims so one point to C2000 there.
The brush is rather big (Same as most other volumising mascaras that are available for this price) and it's in a pretty bottle/tube with rather glamorous writing on, I guess that's one of the reasons why I bought it.
When applied, the mascara does not clump (so another point goes to C2000) and it evenly distributes over lashes giving, well, an even, effect. I have found that I had to apply three coats to get the desired effect of big fake lashes - thats fine if you've got the time but if you're on the go or in a rush I'm not sure how satisfying this would be with just one coat. (point deducted, I'm afraid, C2000).
I think this would be a great addition to anybodies makeup bag and does not run, whether you cry or get caught in the pouring rain this will NOT run down your cheek or make you look like a panda! :D
Mascara removes easily with a babywipe or simply water and a flannel with out having to rub too much so does not irritate eyes - a great thing for my awkward eyes!
I recommend this to all you lovely ladies (or men) that want that extra flutter in their lashes :)
Looking at this product, it stands out with its eye catching red packaging. Smelling the product, it smells pretty average, without much of a fragrance just a nice and plain 'shampoo smell'. The bottles are easy to open, even with wet hands which makes using this shampoo easier than some other shampoos out there. It is a little hard to find in the shops, even the bigger stores around here tend to only get it in when its on promotion, though that is about every other month so no problem if you buy in bulk ;P Use as you would with anyother shampoo - wet hair and lather in the shampoo and rinse. The bottles always recommend using the matching conditioner, and actually, I agree with this and think my hair turns out better than mis-matching them. When I dry my hair with the hair dryer after using this shampoo (and matching conditioner ;P) it dries without looking frizzy or showing my split ends to the world (lets face it though, we all have them :D) If I follow with my hair straighteners then I think this is the thing that helps keep my flyaway hair tame. Though I must add, even though it protects my hair, hides my frizz and my split ends, this shampoo does tend to make my lightbrown hair have a slight yellowy tone to it and make it kind of dull. I'm not sure why, but most of the time I figure its worth it :D Also need to add that my hair gets greasy quicker when using this shampoo - have to wash almost every day whereas usually its every 2-3 days. Again, sometimes I think its worth it, sometimes I just cannot be bothered with the hassle. Overall, I'd say this is a better than average shampoo, though still trailing behind some of the better ones I have come across. I'd mark it a 6.5/10 .
These are by far the best burgers in my opinion. They are big and do not shrink much like most other burgers do. They dont contain a ridiculously high amount of onion like other brands which is great too. You can grill them and shallow fry them. Though it doesnt actually state on the box that you can oven cook thats how I cook them and they turn out fantastic! 15-20mins each side on middle shelf of a 220c oven. They are quite thin so they cook very well unlike those thick ones that always make me worry about food poisoning haha. They go really well on cobs, and go great with mash and gravy - dont know how I came to think of this concoction haha. The taste is rather distinct as I have never tasted other burgers like it before, though I cant actually describe the taste. They sort of remind me of those really yummy ones that my primary school dinners involved. I urge you to try these as I think you will be pleasantly surprised. The words 'Ultimate Burgers' really do not give these enough justice. Best Ever I.M.O :)
These tesco finest beer battered onion rings are to die for! 10 / 10 top marks!
The onion inside these onion rings is of high quality and you can actually taste theres something inside as other onion rings seem to be a little bland but not these! The beer batter itself tastes very appetising in my opinion. The onion rings take around 20 mins to cook in my oven ( 10 mins for each side ) and are mostly large in size, though you do find some disappointing small ones in each bag. They go a little crispy - nothing worse than soggy onion rings. Almost always on promotion aswell so saving us our pennies in this recession. They are also widely available as even the tesco garages in my area sell these so thata another bonus! They go with most foods aswell, though I think they make a nice addition to burgers on cobs with a slice of cheese on too. Really a versatile product in my opinion and I recommend these for everyone to try! They are even suitable for kids as my 5 y.o daughter and friends and family all love these too :)
Simple babywipes come in a natural green pack with a cute me to you tatty teddy bear on the front. They are called simple for a reason - they dont add harsh ingredients to their products so are kind to even the most delicate of skins. Hypoallergenic, these dont contain alcohol and are suitable for use on newborn babies. These are excellent value and can be picked up for around £1.30 ish for a pack of 80 wipes. I used these when my daughter was a baby (shes now 5) and I still buy them on a regular basis for messy mouths, sticky fingers and even taking off my make up in the evenings. These wipes are soft and don't tear easily like some other brands out there (I've tried them all). They are not soaking wet and yet they are not too dry that you need to use lots at once. Though I must add that if you leave the pack open then the top one will go dry quite quickly so remember to close that packet after use! I'd have to say, having a pack of these handy is really, well, handy :D
WOW! I want to start of by jumping straight into saying that these have been (and will continue to be) one of THE greatest tortilla chips around. No wait, scrap that, not ONE of the best. They ARE the best by far in my opinion!
Available in 2 pack sizes, I usually go for the 25p bag which is the smaller bag and is bigger than a packet of normal crisps and more full aswell. Lightly salted, they have just the right amount on where they are not too salty yet not bland either. They go really well with all varieties of dip and also soft cheese. Nice and crunchy and they do not go soggy at all if you open the packet and dont finish them all in one sitting - which is what normally happens I'll have to admit haha. Most of them are all of their correct shape with only a few broken ones in the bag. These are widely available at all larger tescos and even some tesco garages too - the three that are close to me all stock them. Great for parties, movie nights in, etc etc. I like to sprinkle them with cheese and any kind of salsa or sauce and bake for 5 mins to make great nachos! You cant go wrong with these and they never last long in our house. If you haven't tried them then I suggest you do. 10/10 top marks! :)
Tesco do a lot (obviously) of value products and for the majorly cheap prices who can complain? Well, I'm sorry but these tesco value baked beans in tomato sauce are certainly something to complain about.
These were actually recommended to me so I thought I'd give the 420g tins a try and bought 10 cans, buying in bulk - something I like to do from time to time. The packaging is very basic but then again you dont really care about the packaging if it helps keeps the costs down :D
Cook them in the microwave or on the hob in a saucepan, I've tried both ways and find that microwaving actually gave better results which I wasn't expecting. Still not good enough though, I might add.
The tomato sauce that the beans come in is very sweet and very runny, so not to my taste. But once you've cooked them for a long amount of time you can reduce the sauce a little bit. The actual beans themselves though taste so very hard, I joke that they are as hard as bullets. Therefore I nnow call them tesco value baked bullets :D Whether I cook them for a short time (and get runny sauce) or for a long amount of time (where the sauce goes thicker at LAST) they are still hard and not as beans are meant to be. I'd pretty much recommend the whole rest of tesco's value products, but not these little pebbles.
This Dentyl mouthwash is probably one of the more well known brands out there and so a couple of years back I decided to try it after seeing a decline in my oral health due to pregnancy. I still use it to this day and find it very effective at cleaning my teeth post brushing. Priced at around £2 its on the middle scale in terms of price but I'd say definitely worth every penny! You shake the bottle vigorously to activate all of the ingredients and then use about half a lid full and swish for 30 seconds atleast, making sure to get it all around your mouth then finish off with a gargle and spit it out. You see the 'dirt' from your mouth in your sink, and it really surprises me even to this day! I'd say the taste is like marmite though - you either love it or hate it. But I happen to like the clove :) Dont worry, there are other flavours too for you clove haters. So refreshing and leaves my teeth feeling clean, I'd say the best in its price range! 10/10 :)
Yummy. I'll start with the most important word! I used to drink this when I was younger as a way to get more milk into my body, it certainly takes me back to my child hood seeing this box on the shelf at the supermarket!
Nesquik banana milk shake has a bright yellow coloured box with a pop off lid and a foil type thing for freshness. The powder itself is also yellow and somehow inviting? Dont ask lol. The box directs you to use 2 - 4 tea spoons in a glass of milk but I find three is sufficient enough, just give it a good stir and it is ready to drink.
The taste hasn't changed over the years, its creamy and flavoursome and really refreshing - which is rare with milkshakes usually. It leaves a taste of actual banana in your mouth which I find amazing. Contains quite natural stuff and is suitable for even young children of about 3!
I say - this is a yummy tasty drink that you have to try
