After reading this book I cannot stop telling everyone about it. It's a semi-autobiography of Gregory David Roberts, an ex-heroin addict, who escapes from an Australian prison and finds himself in India. His journey is simply amazing, the writing style is fantastic! It is a gripping story and reading the descriptions of each moment whether it be happiness or pain, as a reader you get drawn into and made to feel the emotions, the details of the descriptions of each memory are so vivid, I was moved to tears many many times. The writing is so unique, there are plenty of theatrical moments and there are some beautiful quotes that will relate to each and every person that reads them, this book will inspire you to reflect on life. The individuals Roberts meets on the journey provide new perspectives, the character of prabu in particular is so admirable. I cannot wait for the movie to be made, as I know many people are just not 'book' people but they need to hear Roberts' story. Shantaram has to be one of the best books I have ever read and I urge everyone to read it.
I've had my XPS M1330 for over 2 years and it works good as new! I've had 2 laptops before this but I've had to get them replaced within a year or so. I have the core 2 duo processor and 4 gb of ram, which makes it very very fast! its perfect for daily use and for gaming. The best thing about this laptop are the funky little features it has, mine has a fingerprint scanner, it also comes with a media remote which slots into the side, very very handy if you're playing a slideshow on the laptop or if you're watching something and you're feeling a bit lazy like I tend to and want to control the volume or rewind/ forward something. I also love the touch media buttons and the funky cd rom drive! Judging on the time I bought my laptop, the features on it are very advanced. The mic and webcam on the laptop work great and are a nice little extra feature to have. One of the best things about this laptop is that it is very very lightweight! Its small and compact, it can be carried in a handbag, which makes it great for me as I hate carrying laptop bags around. The chrome and black are a brilliant combination giving it a very sleek and stylish look. The only cons about it would be the battery life, after a year my battery life seems to have dropped a fair amount, it lasts only 30-40 mins when it is off charge with wifi on which is problematic if you have no where to plug it in, though it works perfectly fine when plugged in. Another issue is the charger, the adaptor on the laptop went bust in about a year and I had to reorder one from dell. Also I find the xps range is marketed on the more expensive side. Though I believe it is because they tend to have excellent specifications, lots of quirky little extras and seem to be the more stylish looking ones. This is a very reliable laptop and has all the functions you could need and a few extras in a personal laptop. It is built to a very high quality and value for the amount paid.
Brilliant product! I have tried at least over 20 different powder foundations and MAC is the best by far. I'm asian and quite fair and I find it very very difficult to find a foundation that matches my skin tone perfectly, they're either too dark or too pale giving my skin a dull grey tone. MAC offers a massive range of colours and it would be best if you ask one of the MAC artists in-store to match you up properly. This product is very versatile, if you want a very natural look, you can apply it on top of a bit of concealer and it leaves you with a nice even skin tone and natural matte look. My skin type is quite dry and I find that usually powders make my skin very noticeably dry, however with studio fix I've never had that problem, all my friends use this product and they all have different skin types, so it works very well for everyone. You can vary the coverage with the amount you apply, so for greater coverage apply a little more until you are satisfied. Although it comes with a sponge, I prefer to use a powder brush as it leaves a nicer more even finish, and you can vary the amount of coverage better. Studio fix is very long lasting, I apply it in the morning and through my whole work day it stays intact! I never have to reapply. It is also longer lasting in the sense that even though I use it everyday it seems to last forever. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone, you just have to try it to believe it. The only cons about it would be the price, compared to other brands it's not cheap, but judging on how long it lasts and that you won't need to replace it as often its not too bad. Also the packaging could be nicer, its a little on the chunky side.
