Product: Tommee Tippee closer to nature bottles
Price: 9.49 for 2, Mothercare.
I'm on baby no.2 now and this has been my choice for both. With my son 4yrs ago I used tommee tippee and nothing else. They were great and I never had a problem with them. After breast feeding I felt happy with the breast shaped teat and he was happy to swap between the two for a while. This time round I did the same with my daughter, bought all the bottles the steriliser etc. I had also recommended them to my best friend who has a baby 10wks older than my girl. Just before I was due my friend told me she was through using the Tommee Tippee and was swapping for Avent. To which I was shocked and felt a little guilty. She told me that the teats kept collapsing whilst feeding and it was causing lots of upset for her son. This was an issue I never had previously. So when my daughter came along and it was time for me to use a bottle I used the Tommee Tippee's i'd already bought, and for a few weeks they were great. I even went out and bought the super cute pink version. But then after a while the teats started collapsing on me too. I have to say this is really frustrating and means the baby takes in air too causing painful wind.
So I took to the net. After looking on the Tommee Tippee website I learnt that the cause of this is the Anti Colic valve becoming stuck together. As simple as that. So now when I wash the teats I pay special attention to making sure the valve is able to open (just squeeze the sides of the valve and you see it pop open). Since doing this I have been really happy with them again. The shape is comfortable to hold, my daughter seems to only like this teat shape, I did try an avent when I was struggling with these and she couldn't suck right, and the accessories that you can get for them are brill. For example the powder pots you can get for when your out and about, they just fit into the bottle keeping the water and powder separate but together!
I will again recommend this product along with the offer of the smiple advice for washing!!

I bought this Hoover to replace my Dyson. I know the difference in price between the two is massive so its hard to imagine you could compare them. And on spec your right, the dyson does appear to come up trumps. However after owning 2 Dyson's in 5 years i didn't want to spend a fortune again. They both seemed to work great to begin with and then slowly lost suction even with filters washed and changed etc.
So, after a bit of research on the net I quickly realised the most raved about hoover was the original Red Henry, used and loved by cleaners, builders and homemakers alike. I spent a bit of time researching the price and of course was over the moon to see something under £100.00. The fact I could get a girly pink one was just a bonus for me!
Now I have used this for 2 weeks and I have to say I am really pleased. It has a high and low power suction option. The low is good if you want to hoover your curtains for example. Both work perfectly well on the carpet but i do have a white german shepherd dog, two cats and two children so High power is best for me!! It also has settings for both carpet and wood/laminate/tiled floors. Great again. The power cord is pulled out and then wound back in, simple but effective. The dyson has a button that you press and it somehow sucks the cord back in, something else that slowly stopped working on both mine. Cord length is about the same as Dyson. The wheels on the Hetty move with ease so would be good for someone that can't pull along a heavy hoover, however its not the lightest and easiest to carry up stairs.
I have to say, I am very impressed and have recommended this to everyone I know.
A well deserved 9/10 (I believe there is always room for improvement)
As a young mum of two I have to decide between buying cheap to save money but then running the risk of being disappointed with an inferior product; and splashing out and then feeling guilty if the product proves to be a waste of my precious pennies.
Where I live in Stoke-on-Trent there are no MAC retailers so I came across this product when my friends treated me to a MAC make-up trial in Birmingham before my wedding last year. I didn't want a make-up artist on the day but wanted to have some good products to help me look my best on the pictures. Something I was really dreading!
The whole experience was lovely, the make-up artist was great at listening to me and my concerns about not wanting to look orange or shiny etc. This product was used after the application of a base. I have to admit I was feeling pretty... well pretty as I left the Bullring. The trial had cost my friends £45 but the cost of that was knocked off any products I bought so I went mad, buying everything they had used on me that day. So needless to say I bought this.
On the day of my wedding I followed the application routine used by the MAC make-up artist and with a little help from my friend (to apply eyeliner... tricky when nervous!) I was all made up and ready to be photographed! I was so pleased with the end product.
The Bottom Line.
This product is easy to apply with the supplied applicator.
The end result is neat and even with no orangey looking patches. Always a winner! It also stays put all day. I never need to reapply once my face is done in the morning. My skin type is combination with oily and dry patches and this evens it all out nicely without making either complaint worse.
The price is fairly high, £19.50 compared to High Street brands like Maybelline Dream Matte powder, £6.99. But in my opinion worth it. I have had this for a year now and only just getting ready to buy more. In my experience my cheaper foundations only last half that time.
The feel good factor; I don't know about you but I do like to know I'm using a product used by the celebs!! But most importantly I didn't feel any regret after splashing out and I will defiantly buy it again.
I really love this nail varnish. I have a few different colours and wear them all the time, hands and feet! I am a busy mum of two but feel better when I look good, so the new brush shape and the fast drying time means I can have a quick beauty treatment in no time at all. I have always hated putting on nail varnish then having to spend 10 minutes with a Q tip trying to wipe off the bits the over spill onto your fingers, the new brush shape really works to stop this happening. Also the speed in which it drys means I can be back tending to demanding children much quicker. The other day I used this product just before going to sleep as I knew it would dry before I fell asleep and smudged it! The range of colours is also a great benefit, plenty of choice for the ever changing trends, plus the price is really reasonable. All in all a good product I will be using for a long time to come.
The smell of Johnson's Baby Powder is one recognized and loved by mothers the world over! It is a lovely clean smell and works beautifully too. I have a 4yr old son and when he was a baby I didn't use a talc very often however I now have a 3 mth old baby girl and have used this product every day since she was born. I use it on her bottom to make sure no moisture is left on her skin after a nappy change and i'm pleased to say she hasn't had a single spell off 'sore bottom'. I also love using it after her bath, its a lovely way to dry her and bond... and of course i love that she smells fab too!! I have also been known to pinch a bit for myself after a shower. So I have to end by saying I would absolutely recommend this product!
