If you spend money on a laptop you want something that will protect it and protect it well. After looking around for a while I found the Pakuma Eco 2 Bag which not only looks good but it gives great protection to your laptop.
The laptop is made out of 100% recycled materials. The inner lining and outer casing is made from recycled plastic bottles and the inner foam padding is made from recycled foam. The retail sleeve is even made from 100% recycled paper and soya inks. Although it is very impressive that the bag is made from recycled materials, it would be pointless if the bag did not offer good protection for your laptop. I have to say I am very impressed with the protection that this bag gives. It is very well designed and the protection is provided with thick foam ridges which act as a cushion inside of the bag. The ridges are made of memory foam which are very spongy to the touch and bounce back when they are pressed just like the memory foam which you can purchase to cover your bed. This protection is described as a cocoon system which holds your laptop in place.
There is a soft lining inside of the bag and also a zipper lip which provides protection against your laptop being scratched. There is a front pocket which holds accessories such as CD's although there is no zip to close this pocket so I have not used it. I would fear that the CD's would fall out but the option is there.
The bag comes in two different colours, red or green, and a variety of sizes. These are;
10" which will fit a size of 270mm x 192mm x 38mm. This is compatible with the Ipad and 10" tablets
13.3" which will fit a size of 325mm x 227mm x 28mm. This is compatible with a 13" macbook and most 13.3" notebooks
15.4" which will fit a size of 370mm x 250mm x 30mm. This is compatible with a 15" macbook pro and most 15.4" notebooks.
15.6" which will fit a size of 380mm x 257mm x 36mm. This is compatible with most 15.6 notebooks.
The pakuma Bag comes with a lifetime warranty. This is against a defect in the product and against the workmanship when the bag was made. I think this is very impressive as Pakuma believe in their bags quality. Obviously this does not cover general ware and tare. If you do find anything wrong with your bag then they state that they will happily replace the bag for you.
This bag performs very well and in my opinion would protect your laptop from some scratches and knocks. I do not think the bag would do anything if you dropped it from a height though. Looking around, I do not think any bags would promise this but I have put my trust in the Pakuma and hope that it lives up to what it promises.
After some time with unpredictable skin I have now finally got skin which does not have hardly any break outs and does not give me any problems like it used to. I have tried many of the lush products and like how they try and go for all natural although they do use some preservatives which I avoid. While I was in a Lush store I was buying a few things and the staff member asked if I would like a sample of the angels on bare skin cleanser as she explained that it was one of the most gentle cleansers that they made. I have found that Lush are good for giving a sample of their products which I like as if you know that they work and do not react with your skin type you will most likely go back and purchase the product.
This cleanser is meant to be one of the most gentle on the skin making it perfect for anyone with redness or sensitive skin who do not want to use products that will react with the skin.
This cleanser contains a very limited number of ingredients which I am very impressed with and there are chemical ingredients. The ingredients are;
Ground Almonds, Glycerine, Kaolin, Water, Lavender Oil, Rose Absolute, Chamomile Blue Oil, Tagetes Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Lavender Flowers, Limonene, Linalool.
Each ingredient has its own job to do. The ground almonds provide a very gentle exfoliating action, the glycerine helps to soften skin, kaolin is a soft clay which helps to exfoliate and cleanse. Lavender oil is antiseptic, antibacterial and is very calming on the skin, rose absolute helps to calm skin irritations, chamomile blue oil is very calming and is also antiseptic and helps to calm the skin. Tagetes oil is anti fungal and antimicrobial helping keep skin clear, benzoin resinoid is a natural preservative derived from the styraceae tree, lavender flowers add a lavender scent and add a natural exfoliating action, limonene is a natural fragrance which is added to the cleanser and linalool is a natural fragrance from ho wood oil.
I have used this cleanser for a week now and it is very gentle. Just put a little in the palm of your hand and mix with water. Instantly it turns to a milk consistency, rub it on your face and thats it, cleansed and very gentle on your skin. At £6.25 for 100g I think it is very good value as you are not rubbing chemicals on your face. Everything is natural and it works. A good cleanser to keep your skin clean and clear.
I purchased the Morphy Richards 73411 from Comet the day before it closed down at a great price. I bought the vacuum for £45.00 although its RRP is around £199.99. If you look around you can quite often find it for sale at half of this price.
I purchased the vacuum as it was a good price but I did not know anything about it and had not looked at reviews. Because it was such a good price I thought I would take a chance and I can say I am not disappointed at all.
The specifications of the vacuum are;
190 air watts
All floor types
2.5M hose length
One touch bin emptying
9.1M cable length
Pivoting floor head
This vacuum does work very well. The first time I used it on a carpet I could not believe how much it had picked up. The vacuum does have rotating brush which spins very fast to pick up as much as it can but if you are using it on delicate things like thin rugs you can switch the brush off so that it relies on suction only. If you have pets this vacuum is great. Pet hair is no problem and is picked up with ease. It works well on our carpets, rugs and hard floors.
The pivoting floor head is great. It makes using the vacuum so easy as it manoeuvres around any obstacles very easily. Because it so easy to manoeuvre it makes the vacuum enjoyable to use.
The vacuum does state that it is made with never loose suction technology. I can vouch for this as it picks up very well until the very large canister is full. When the vacuum does need to be emptied it is very simple. You simply release the canister and empty it by pressing one release button. With some vacuums I have found them very fiddly to put back together but this one is very simple and easy.
The very clever thing about this vacuum is that the canister is detachable so that it transforms into a very powerful portable cleaner. This is very handy as it makes cleaning things like the car and upholstery very easy. When you do detach the canister it becomes very light making it very easy to use, 3.1kg to be exact.
I am very pleased with my purchase as the vacuum works so well. It looks stylish and as it comes with a 5 year warranty I know I will have peace of mind for years to come.
While I was in the Lush store I asked if they sold anything that would help with spots. My skin is clear but I can be known to all of a sudden see a spot appear now and again which can be very annoying. I was then taken to grease lightning which is advertised as a spot treatment which takes away sports with natural ingredients.
The staff member gave me a sample of the grease lightning to take with me to see what I thought. I tried the sample and can say that it does work. The gel is clear and does not really have much of a scent. You only need the smallest amount and just dab it on to the spot and it dries instantly. I could see a difference in a day. Its not the fastest acting but the natural ingredients do work. As I was given a sample the gel was in a pot which was quite messy to use but the full sized product is in a bottle with a pump action dispenser which is much less messy as you can just apply a little to your finger then directly to the spot.
The ingredients are;
Thyme, Rosemary and Tea Tree Infusion, Water, Organic Aloe Vera Gel, Sea Water, Grape Juice, Carrageenan Extract, Lavender Oil, Witch Hazel Extract, *Limonene, Perfume, Methylparaben.
Most of the ingredients provide specific benefits to the skin. The thyme is antibacterial and antiseptic, the aloe vera soothes the skin and takes down any redness, the sea water provides minerals for healthy skin, the grape juice provides vitamins and minerals for healthy skin and it also contains alpha hydroxy acid which helps exfoliate the skin. The carrageenan extract gives the gel its texture, lavender oil is good for most skin complaints as it is antibacterial and antiseptic , the witch hazel acts as an astringent and is antibacterial and anti inflammatory. Limonene is a liquid which adds a scent to the gel made from natural ingredients and the final ingredient is methylparaben which is a preservative.
I do find this product to work well but I hope they bring out a formula which does not contain methlparaben as it would make me more inclined to use the product. On the plus side you only need a tiny amount to work but still, no parabens would be better.
The grease lightning is priced at £5.95 for 45g which I feel is better value because of the tiny amount you need but, although it works, I would rather use nothing than use a product with parabens. If there is a formula in the future which contains no parabens then I will certainly buy it.
If you are looking for a spot treatment that works then I would consider it as if you look at the ingredients in other brands you realise that one paraben is nothing compared to the very long list of chemicals included in most other treatments.
I purchased the Auto Glym interior shampoo as I had a few marks on my car seats. Eating on the go is not always great as if you are like me you miss your mouth and hit the seat instead, small mouth maybe? I found the Auto Glym interior shampoo and thought I would give it a try.
The Auto Glym is advertised as having surface active ingredients and deodorising properties. The spray can be used on synthetic fabrics, upholstery, carpets, roof linings, vinyl and plastics.
To use the spray I applied the shampoo to the stain on the seat and wiped with a dam cloth. The stain did disappear quite fast and with not much agitation to the fabric. The bottle then says that you should wipe until the shampoo is rinsed fully. Be careful not to apply too much shampoo like I did on one stain as having to make sure that there is no product left takes quite a while. This just proves that the shampoo is very concentrated and that you do not need to use very much at all. After this I stick to using just one spray and this always does the job well.
The shampoo does leave a fresh scent to the fabric and it is not over powering, just clean. I would definitely recommend this product as it work and it is from a very well respected and recognised brand. A must try if you have those stains which you just haven't got round to cleaning yet. Its simple to use and gives very good results, give it a try.
I purchased the Belkin USB hub after buying other hubs in the past and then finding that they either did not work very well or they worked for a matter of weeks. I know Belkin is a name I can trust and I have not been disappointed. It transfers data up to 480MPS and has never let me down.
This USB hub is very compact which is why it is described as being a mobile hub. It looks very stylish and works. I have owned my USB hub for about a year and a half now and it has not given me any problems at all. It is USB 1 and USB 2 compatible and allows you to turn 1 USB port into 4 simply by plugging it in. I wanted mine not because I do not have enough USB ports on my computer but because the USB ports are located around the back of the computer and it saves me from having to move the computer each time I want to plug something in.
Because the USB hub is so small it can be carried around with you and could easily fit into a laptop bag. It can travel with you easily as it is so light. I know USB 3 has arrived now so hopefully Belkin will make a similar hub or even the same hub with the speed of USB 3. Anyone buying a new computer will want to be able to transfer data at the USB 3 speed which is part of the reason of upgrading or buying a new computer. If you are using this hub with a printer then it will not make any difference as a USB 2 hub will not slow down any printing you were doing. This only really applied if you are using an external hard drive or uploading something like picture to your computer where the speed of data transfer is important.
I know there is not too much to say about a USB hub but the main thing that I want to get across is that it works. After trying about 6 USB hubs and each one not lasting at all I thought I would try a good branded one and I am not disappointed, its great, it works.
I have owned an Epson printer for around 6 years now and it is still going strong. I decided I would like a new one that included wireless and one that had a colour touchscreen. I do use my printer for scanning in lots of documents and my computer is not near the printer so being able to do this wirelessly would be a great benefit.
I spent a long time looking at different printers and because I have been so happy with my last printer, which has now been adopted by one of my family, I thought I would go for another Epson. I then found the Epson WF 3540DTWF which had everything that I wanted in a printer. The printers features are;
Print, scan, copy and fax
Prints up to 15 pages per minute
Two paper trays holding up to 250 pages each
Epson connect which enables you to be able to print from anywhere
5760 x 1440 dpi
Memory card printing
10.9 KG in weight
4 printer cartridges
Energy star rated, 17w while copying and 2w in sleep mode
308 x 449 x 427 mm (L x W x D)
Mac 10.5.8 or later and windows 7, vista and XP
8.9 cm colour touchscreen
12 month warranty
As soon as you take the printer out of the box you can tell it is very well made. It is heavy but I find that a good thing. Everything feels sturdy and looks like a quality printer. This printer can be used without a computer making it good for copying things like a photocopier which I use a lot. One of the main selling points of this printer is the wifi printing. You would hope that this would be very simple but no, I found this rather complicated to set up and the wifi printing does not always work for me. Sometimes it works straight away and sometimes you can wait for quite a while and then realise the printing will not be starting at all. I find the most reliable printing is when it is plugged straight into the USB port but this is not always possible. I would say it took me about 45 minutes to set up the wifi printing and I am a regular computer user and have installed many printers before. This might put some people off but be warned, its not as easy to install as they make out.
One feature that I do like which was also on my old printer is the automatic document feeder. This allows you to place up to 30 sheets of paper in the tray at the top of the printer and you can either tell the printer to copy or print it all. It will then automatically do this for you without having to place one document in at a time. Another nifty feature is the ability to print double sided documents. I have tried this out and this will save me a lot of paper.
I do find this printer very fast at printing. It speeds through the printing compared to the old Epson. This obviously saves time if you are waiting for quite a few pages to print out at once. One of the things that I look out for on a new printer is the price of replacement cartridges. Because there are 4 cartridges in the printer it enables you to only replace the one colour which is empty. Genuine Epson cartridges do cost quite a bit of money but if you look around you can find compatible cartridges at a much cheaper price. I now use cartridges which cost me about £1.50 for a black and £1.60 for a colour. I really can not complain at that price and I can not tell any difference in the quality of the printing.
The colour touchscreen makes this printer very enjoyable to use. The screen and navigation buttons are so easy to use. Anyone who has used a smart phone will find that they can just use the screen straight away as it is exactly the same. Most thing that you will want to do with the printer will be very easy to do just using the screen as it guides you through it. The only thing that it can not help you with is the wifi set up, it states it can but if you are like me it will take lots of trial and error.
A very good printer with lots of features. It looks good and works well, I just wish Epson could make the wifi feature much easier to use.
I was looking for something which was natural and would help with oily skin and help protect against any breakouts on my skin. I looked at the ingredients of many toners and I did not like the fact that in most products there were a long list of chemicals and preservatives. I then found the Neal's Yard witch hazel water. The water comes in a very stylish blue glass bottle contains 100ml.
There are 3 ingredients in total. Water, witch hazel extract and alcohol denat. The water I presume is to dilute the witch hazel and the alcohol provides a number of functions. It can act as a preservative and also it is an astringent to help clear oily skin.
The witch hazel water is advertised as gentle but as soon as you smell it you do get a different impression. The water has a strong medicinal smell which could put some people off but I like it, its very refreshing.
There are a number of uses for the witch hazel water. It can be used to refresh and tone the skin. It can be used for helping with bruising and swellings and it can be used for helping with distended veins. The water can be used to help with insect bites and is effective against acne.
I can say that the witch hazel water is very good to gently cleanse your skin and leave it feeling very clean. Because the witch hazel is quite strong I dampen the cotton wool first and then add the witch hazel water to dilute the solution. This also makes the product go further making it better value for money.
Although I do not use this product constantly, I know it is there incase I have any skin problems such as a breakout. It should be noted though that once opened this product lasts 6 months. I know some people may think that this is not very long but I would rather have this than have lots of chemicals and preservatives added to make it last longer.
A very effective toner which gently cares for your skin helping to clear up any skin problems.
I have owned a Vax carpet cleaner for years which has performed very well so when it came to finding a replacement it was not difficult to choose Vax again. The old carpet washer had seen better days but I have had it for about 8 years now. I also wanted something that had an attachment to clean upholstery and the carpet on the stairs.
When I looked around at different options there were so many carpet washers to choose from, all promising to give the best results. The thing that swayed me was the 6 year warranty which you get with the Vax. Most other brands could not even compete with that, mostly just giving one year. I do have a Vax vacuum which also has a 6 year warranty. It developed a crack on the handle and with one phone call and a very pleasant and helpful person on the phone it was replaced straight away. After that experience I was very impressed with their customer service as there is no point having a long warranty if they make it difficult to get anything sorted.
The specs are
6 year warranty
Spinscrub technology with 6 brushes
Powered spinscrub tool for carpets and upholstery
Auto rinse function
3.7 litre clean tank plus 3 litre dirty tank capacity
Dual V technology to dry your carpets faster
Hard floor tool included
9.1 metre cord
My Vax arrived and straight away began to put it together. It was not too difficult but you do need a screwdriver. The pictures in the instruction booklet are OK but they could be a bit better as some parts look very similar to others. It took me about 15 minutes in total to put it together but once it is assembled, that's it. I had ordered some carpet cleaning solution at the same time as ordering the vax although you do get two bottles with the machine itself. This model of carpet washer has a separate tank for the solution so there is no mixing to get the right concentration, it all does it for you. Hopefully that will mean no waste.
Once everything was put together properly I filled the clean water tank with warm water, placed some solution in the mixing container (part of the clean water tank) and then attached the upholstery attachment. I started to use the Vax and was amazed with the results. There has been a lot of building work happening in my house and this has obviously produced a lot of dust. The Vax did not struggle at all and cleaned the cushions and couch with ease. I then turned the Vax to a large rug which is cream in colour. Although the rug did not look dirty I thought I would give it a try to see what the Vax could do. I was very impressed, the rug came up great and was dry in no time.
The first thing I should note is that the Vax is very loud. At some points I thought there must be something wrong with it but as the Vax is working so well I now just think it is a very loud machine. The second is that if you do not put the clean water tank in correctly the Vax will tell you by constantly leaking. I found this out by using the upholstery tool with the clean water tank not fully together properly. It still worked but then I realised the Vax was standing in a very big puddle of water.
Overall I am very impressed with the Vax. Although it is loud I can get over this as it cleans so well. It will last for 6 years and if not I know Vax will sort it and it makes my carpets and upholstery look as good as new. Money well spent.
I have owned a juicer in the past but decided that I wanted a new one. I looked around and read up on quite a few reviews and still could not decide what to go for. The prices of juicers range from not very much to very expensive but is the difference in price worth it? I finally decided to try a cheaper juicer hoping that it would give me a good result and not be a complete waste of money. As with all new electrical items you always get a years guarantee so even if you did buy something and it ended up not working within the year you should always be able to get your money back. I then read the specification of the juicer and the manufacturers are so confident in its quality that they give it two years instead of one. This did help me choose and if it did break because of being a poorer quality to other juicers, at least I would be able to get my money back within the two years.
I looked at the cookworks juicer on the internet and liked the way it looked. It looks very stylish and I liked the fact that you can place whole fruit and veg in it without having to mess about peeling and cutting things up to fit inside the juicing funnel. The juicer is different to the picture displayed on this website. They have updated the juicer which now has a metal spout and has a black body instead of the silver.
The specifications of this juicer are
2 years warranty
2 variable speeds
motor overheat protection
non slip feet
dishwasher safe parts
stainless steel filter and blades
froth separating jug
0.8 litre jug capacity
I purchased the juicer and bought some carrots, apples, broccoli and limes too so I could try it out straight away. After opening the box the juicer is mostly put together for you. All I had to do was place the pulp plastic bin behind the juicer and that's all. Reading the instruction booklet it says to wash all of the parts of the juicer that will come into contact with the food. I quickly did this which took me seconds and then put the juicer back together which was very simple. I then began to juice. I placed 2 apples, 4 carrots, 1 piece of broccoli and half of a lime inside the juicer which was set to the lowest setting. There are two settings, the first is slower and the second is faster, the booklet says which setting to place the juicer on for different fruits and vegetables. The juice then flowed into the plastic jug which is provided. I then mixed the juice together and hoped it would taste good. I was pleasantly surprised as the juice tasted very nice and for the quantity of fruit and veg I had placed inside there was a lot of juice from the machine. I then looked at the pulp at the back of the machine and again I was very surprised. The pulp was virtually dry. I did not expect this quality on a cheaper machine.
I then started to think that this was quite a good juicer. It was not overly loud and was quieter than I had expected it to be. Now the dreaded part, the washing up. I started to take the machine apart which is very easy. You have two clips, one at either side, which clip off to enable you to take the machine apart. I then ran the different parts under the tap and they cleaned very easily. After allowing the parts to dry I began to put the machine together again and after around 30 seconds, that was it, finished.
I have to say, I am glad I did not go for a more expensive juicer as I think it would have been a waste of money. This juicer cost me £30.00, I know I have it for at least two years, hopefully more, but if anything happens before this I know it will be replaced or a refund will be given. It looks good, it gives a lot of juice from what you put in and it is easy to clean. I am really happy with my purchase and glad I decided to go for the cookworks whole fruit juicer.
Just a quick update, I have been using the juicer for quite a few weeks now and I have used it every day. I can say that I am still very impressed with it and have been enjoying fresh juice every day that tastes great. Cant rave about this juicer enough.
I have just finished using the Autoglym shampoo on my car and thought I would write a review. My car has not been cleaned in quite a few weeks and I thought it was time to give it a thorough clean.
The Autoglym shampoo is described as being good for removing traffic film and general grime from your car. It then leaves a water repellant barrier and contains a rust inhibitor to protect your cars paintwork. The shampoo is also PH neutral which will not strip your car of any protective coatings and will be very gentle with the paintwork.
I always hose down my car before washing it to remove any loose dirt and grit as if you wash your car without doing this you can scratch the paintwork. After doing this I filled a bucket with warm water and added some of the shampoo. It is a very bright green colour and smells very fresh. I then began to clean the car and watched as the bubbles turned a dark shade of brown showing that the shampoo was working well in removing all of the winter dirt and grime. I find that the Autoglym shampoo does not foam as much as other brands and I find that I do have to use more Autoglym shampoo compared to other brands also. I washed the car a total of 4 times to get ride of all of the dirt but after this the car was looking spotless.
The main reason I use the Autoglym is because of the added rust inhibitor. I know in the colder weather there is a lot of salt on the roads which causes rust. If the Autoglym could not help with stopping rust I am sure they couldn't say it helped stop the onset of rust on the bottle.
I know the Autoglym products are more money than many which you can buy in the supermarket but I do think that they give a better result. After washing the car it gave a really shiny finish and left the car squeaky clean.
A very good car shampoo which I can recommend. Yes, more expensive but why buy something cheaper which will not protect your car as well as this does.
I have recently started to use more of Lush products after finding that they try to avoid using chemical ingredients and preservatives. After trying the herbalism cleanser and being very impressed with my clear skin I thought I would try something different. I looked in the Lush store and found the dark angels cleanser. Although it looks scary as it is just a jet black looking mud it is very effective and cleans my skin very well.
When I looked through the ingredients I was very impressed as there were no parabens which is the case with all of the Lush cleansers. There was one ingredient which I did not recognise which was the sodium lauroyl sarcosinate but after some research I discovered that this ingredient is derived for palm oil.
The dark angels cleanser is described as a cleanser and scrub combined and is recommended for people who really want to make sure that they have the cleanest skin possible.
The ingredients are
Rhassoul Mud, Organic Cold Pressed Avocado Oil, Glycerine, Powdered Charcoal, Black Sugar, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Perfume, *Linalool, Sandalwood Oil, Rosewood Oil
Each ingredient has a purpose. The rhassoul mud is good for cleansing the skin and degreasing. The avocado oil is used because it is full of fatty acids and vitamins, glycerine for its moisturising properties, powdered charcoal for its oil absorbing properties and black sugar to stimulate and exfoliate the skin. Sandalwood is a natural astringent and antiseptic and rosewood oil is a natural antiseptic and bactericidal.
I have found the cleanser very easy to use but because it is black and can sometimes get a bit messy it may be best to use it in the shower. Just place a very small amount of the cleanser in your hand, add a little bit of water and that's it. Rub it on your face and your face feels instantly clean. The sugar acts as an exfoliator which you can feel working. My skin feels very clean after I use it and it has a very nice fresh smell. I do have skin which can be prone to a few break outs but since I have started using Lush cleansers I have not had this problem. I did use the herbalism cleanser before this and it suited my skin well also.
A great cleanser which uses natural ingredients without any preservatives. Definitely worth a try as it is a great price for what you get.
I purchased the Karcher K2120 a year ago now and thought I would write a review to tell people just how good it really is. I know Karcher have a large range of pressure washers starting with the less powered K2 series all the way up to the K7 series. I wanted a pressure washer that was good for cleaning the car and doing the odd cleaning jobs around the garden but one which was very small and compact. I did not want to pay much for a pressure washer that was not going to be used very much but I did not want one that wasn't very good and was useless. Having looked around at many different brands I found the compact Karcher K2120 which seemed perfect. It is very small and compact but do not let this put you off, looks can be deceiving.
I paid £60.00 for my Karcher a year ago. There is often a special offer on a Karcher so shop around.
The specs of the K2120 are
1300w air cooled motor
100bar water pressure (although karchers website states 110, but my box states 100)
330 litre per hour flow rate
High pressure lance and dirt blaster lance
4 meter high pressure hose
integrated fine mesh water filter
Garden hose adapter
detergent suction hose with filter
Dimensions LxWxH in mm 280x176x443
1.4KW power usage
2 year guarantee
When I first opened my Karcher the first thing I wanted to try it on was the stone steps at the front of my house. I attached the dirt blaster lance, plugged in the karcher and then connected the water hose. This was all very simple and from opening the box I was away and cleaning within about 3 minutes. I turned the Karcher on and away I went. I pressed the automatic on off trigger and the high pressure water began to start. I could not believe how well the Karcher was cleaning the ground, it seemed to be instantly changing colour of the steps. I then realised that the ground had a pebbled effect which I had never noticed before.
The karcher is really quite fun to use and being able to see the results instantly spurred me on. I also have a painted brick wall at the front of the house. I was looking to paint the wall again as the paint had seen better days. I kept the dirt blaster lance on and pointed it at the wall. Instantly the Karcher began to take off any loose, flaking paint making the wall ready to paint again.
I then changed to the high pressure lance as the dirt blaster lance is too powerful for to clean cars. The Karcher found cleaning the car very easy, just point and press and that's it. Obviously you will probably want to then use a car shampoo and sponge but then rinse the car with the Karcher and your can will be clean in no time.
I have found lots of other things to clean with the Karcher such as terracotta pots which have changed colour. Green tericotta pots do not look great. Point the Karcher at it and in seconds they will look as good as new.
There is a tube which comes out of the Karcher which you can place inside of a cleaning solution that you may want to use. I have no tried this yet as I have not found a need for it. There has not been anything that I have tried to clean that has not worked with just the power of water. The karcher is very light and also has a built in carry handle making it very easy to move around.
Yes, you can get a more powerful pressure washer but I have not found the Karcher to struggle with any of the jobs I have tried to do with it and with a 2 year warranty you cant go wrong.
I had bought a brand new vax carpet washer and while I was ordering I had the option to add a cleaning solution to my order. There were so many to choose from but in the end I chose the spring clean carpet cleaning solution.
As I have the type of carpet washer that has a separate compartment for cleaning solution it was easy for me to measure out but if you have the other type where you need to add the solution into the clean water tank it may take a little more time to work out how much you will need to clean your carpet.
I had purchased the carpet cleaner for a different property but wanted to try it out to see how well it worked. There is one light carpet in the house and. although there were no visible marks or stains, I thought I would clean it to see how the cleaner and solution worked.
I added the solution and started to clean my carpet and I must say, I was surprised. I have used a carpet washer in the past but I only used water and no solution. By adding the spring clean solution I am sure it made a huge difference. My carpet was left smelling fresh and you could definitely see the difference as the carpet looked visibly cleaner and brighter. The cleaner lightly foams but not much so it will not clog up your carpet washer. The cleaner is wool safe approved and it does not leave any residue in your carpets.
As my carpet washer has a rinse function I did rinse the carpets after I had used the solution but hardly any product was left so if you did not have this function I would not worry about having to do this. The carpet was left with a floral aroma which, although not strong scent, it was a gentle pleasant smell.
If you have a carpet washer then I would definitely say that this solution is worth the money to make sure your carpets are being cleaned as well as they can be. Just look at the colour of the water that is sucked up and you can judge for yourself.
Since the tefal fresh express came out I had wondered about buying one. I then found a special offer on the tefal and thought I would go for it. It comes with 5 attachments and you get a little booklet which explains which attachment is best for the food you are chopping. The attachments are also different colours making it easy to know which one to use.
I now come to using the machine. I thought I would make coleslaw to try it out for the first time. I placed my bowl underneath the spout outlet and started chopping by pressing the big red button on the top of the machine. I used the attachments that were recommended but the vegetables did not want to chop. I tried to place cabbage inside of the machine but the tefal really struggled with this. I then placed carrot inside and after trying a few different attachments it finally started to chop but I then realised that the tefal was flinging more of the carrot on the floor and bench than it was in the bowl. By this time I started to become frustrated with the tefal but thought I would persevere because of the price that I had paid. I then came to the onion and instead of coming out of the spout it began to stick inside of the machine giving me onion juice in the bowl instead. The motor then became slower and I was wondering if the tefal was going to pack up all together. All this to make some coleslaw?
I have since used the tefal to see if it will grate cheese, which it does, but it is then difficult to clean as the cheese sticks to the inside of the machine. Really, all I am left with is an expensive electrical cheese grater.
To be honest, if I knew what the tefal was really like I would not have bought it. If you are also looking for an expensive cheese grater then this is the way to go.
If you like to have fresh food but not all of the hassle then there must be a better alternative out there, maybe just a normal hand grater? Cheaper and it works.
