I am a firm believer in waxing and it was great to know that I can easily wax at home, mess free with the new veet easy wax system.
I was lucky enough to be given this product so I didn't have to spend 15 pounds out of my own pocket but after using this, I regret not being a firm believer in it from the start. I would be more than happy to pay 15 pounds myself for this product because it is great.
The kit includes the heating device which is comfortable to hold, a wax refill for arms and legs, waxing cloth and some oil swabs to wipe away the excess wax.
The Veet easy wax roll on kit claims to give you salon waxing results at home and I have to say, as nice as it is to lay there at the salon and get my waxing done professionally, this kit saves me a lot of money.
Setting it up is as easy as inserting the refill into the device and plugging the device into the socket to allow it to heat up. A little red light signals that the device is heating up. Although the wax is supposed to heat up and be ready to use after 20-25 minutes, it definitely takes 30-50 minutes to get the wax hot enough to glide on the skin easily. I tried it after twenty minutes and the wax felt rubbery on my skin. It still worked, but it is definitely better to leave the wax to melt a while longer.
Then, I roll the wax in the direction of my hair growth along the skin and pat on the wax strip, rubbing it in the opposite direction of the hair growth allowing a little bit of extra strip at the bottom to allow you to lift and pull the wax strip.
Pulling off the wax strip is still extremely painful but that is what waxing basically is. I was happy to see though that I was left 95% hairless and clean, my skin felt smooth instantly and I didn't have any sort of reaction. I love this product, in twenty minutes I can easily wax my arms and legs and be done.
I think I will be using this for a long time because of its convenience.
I'd recommend it to those who can handle a bit of pain.
Only a few days a go I popped into the body shop and they had an offer on for 15 pounds off a 30 pound shop. I took advantage of this amazing offer and stocked up on a lot of things that I have been wanting to try out such as the Nutriganics smoothing day cream.
The nutriganics range is an organic range by The Body Shop and although most of the items are quite expensive, the soothing day cream was only priced at 5 pounds. Still not very cheap, but in comparison to the other products, extremely cheap!
I was in need of a day cream since the Nivea that I was previously using wasn't doing anything good for my skin. My skin was dull, lifeless and just in need of something to even out my complextion and brighten up my skin yet still feel light enough to wear during the hot summer days.
After a week of using this day cream every single day, I haven't noticed that my skin is brighter all of a sudden, but it is definately not as dull as it was either. The cream has a slightly runny texture which can leave my skin feeling and looking a little oily, which isn't good but after a while of sinking it and blotting, it looks perfectly fine. I haven't noticed any breakouts or bad reaction to this product which is a good sign but I also haven't yet noticed enough positive out come to make me want to go back and purchase this product again. For being completely organic, it definitely hasn't got the wow factor, and that makes me re- think as to why it is significantly cheaper than the other products in its rage.
For 5 pounds I really can't cpmplain much. I am glad I tried it but I definately think it is made for people with normal and tough skin, for those skin types that don't need any particular attention in problematic areas other than a simple moisturizer during the day.
It comes in a nice plastic bottle with a little pump to avoid getting any germs into the cream which is a neat idea, I just wish the product had done a lot more for my skin. I do expect high standards from the body shop and although this wasn't a terrible item, it just didn't do enough either.
It has a very subtle smell which is great for the day time and can be applied several times a day if need be. Again, if you have normal skin and aren't looking to solve any problematic areas, this cream is great!
I was never a big fan of juicy couture but after going into a fragrance shop and smelling Juicy couture's peace, love and juicy, I fell in love immediently. I am a person who loves very girly scents but hate the ones that are very sweet, like celebrity fragrances. This perfume was the perfect balance. Not too sweet, not too musky and not too strong.
Peace love and juicy comes in a glass bottle with a huge diamond shaped lid. It also has a turquoise wrap around bracelet with two little pendants and tassels hanging off giving it a very fancy look. I love this bottle and it looks very glamorous on my dressing table. I know I am going to have a hard time throwing this away when it is finished. It also has the Juicy couture logo glued on top, almost like a trophy. It is a pretty heavy glass bottle which also gives it the feeling of being a very expensive perfume. I have not felt this excited about a perfume since a long time and even though I love my other perfumes, this has to takes the cake because it is amazing in terms of fragrance and packaging.
With notes of Meyer lemon tree blossom, wild hyacinth, sweet apple accord, blackcurrant bud, honey suckle, musk and a couple of other hard to pronounce and spell notes, it is the perfect combination for the girl who loves floral scents and ones that last.
I was pleasantly surprised when I sprayed a single spray on my wrist to test and it lasted me the whole day. I kept getting a whiff of it and that makes it worth the hefty price! A couple of sprays is more than enough and will last the entire day. It cost me 35 pounds for 50ml which isn't cheap I have to admit but considering it will last me quite a while and I don't have to over spray, it is wroth investing.
I would recommend this perfume 100 percent for any girl. It may be too much for under 15's and over 40's but within that age range, it is perfect. If I had to choose one perfume to live with then this peace love and juicy by Juicy couture would be it without a doubt.
I absolutely love fragrances. I'm the type of girl who will go bare faced if I have to, meaning without makeup, but I have to have a few spritz of perfume on. I feel like its not an option, its an essential. Although I cannot afford most fragrances, I do save up for them and I will shop around to find good deals on perfumes, that is how much I enjoy them.
Sarah Jessica Parker to be honest isn't my favorite celebrity therefore I never bothered with her fragrances. It wasn't until my uncle gifted it to my mum a few years ago that I absolutely fell in love with it. It is Sarah's signature scent which in the simplest words is light, airy yet very classy and expensive scented. I think this perfume is ideal for so many age groups as well which is quite unique to be fair. I feel very classy and sophisticated in this perfume and almost like a celebrity myself. It definitely gives me confidence.
Lovely is the perfect name for this fragrance, it's the best way to describe it in one word. The base notes are white amber, cedar, woody notes and white musk and also has notes of apple martini, citrus, lavender and daffodils. Such a complex blend but it comes together to make a truly powerful yet very feminine fragrance.
I definitely find the smell gets better on your skin throughout the day. its a little powdery which makes it so feminine but very distinct which is why it is quite special.
The bottle is a lovely glass drop shape with a very opaque pink color. It is very simple looking but the cap to the perfume looks like a little domed glass jewel which finishes it off in quite a sophisticated manner.
Price wise it is very cheap considering how beautiful it smells, I would happily pay double to price. It retails for 25 pounds for a 30ml bottle in boots but is always on offer somewhere or the other. I don't get my 100ml bottle for more than 30 pounds weather it be over the internet. Boots and Superdrug do multiple offers on this fragrance all year round. and 30 pounds for a 100ml bottle is almost a steal for such a good fragrance.
It smells great on my mum, she has gone through multiple bottles, as of I. If you are confused about a scent for an older woman then lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker is the safest and the best bet in my opinion. She has many other fragrances which aren't half as good as this one unfortunately.
I have loved skips ever since I was a child and it had been quite some time that I hadn't had them. I suddenly got a craving for them but they were unfortunately over two pounds for a bag of 6. I thought that was pretty expensive so I didn't buy it. I then went further down the isle in Tesco and saw a pink shiny packet of prawn cocktail crisps for 99 pence. It wasn't an average sized bag, it was one of those over sized bags and I immediantly put it in my basket.
I was so excited to try them that I opened them as soon as I stepped outside and I was completely addicted. They are puffy crisps, shaped like an oyster, very similar to skips and they taste almost exactly like skips. Tesco really impressed me with these crisps, not too strong in flavour, they are just right. I found that they almost melted in my mouth and as greedy as it sounds, I went through the whole packet before I got home.
Although they aren't skips, just the taste of them really took me back to my childhood and the fact that they cost only 99 pence is really impressive. I am so glad I gave them a try. I wasn't so impressed with the salt and vinegar ones as much as I am with these. Definite must have if you like prawn cocktail flavored crisps.
I know there was a lot of hype when be delicious perfume by Donna Karen came out and for quite some time they were very well known and popular. I never really paid too much attention towards it simply because the bottle was shaped like an apple and I really didn't want anything to do with an apple like perfume since I don't like fruity heart notes.
It wasn't until last week that I was in the mood to buy a perfume and be delicious was on for less than half price at Boots. I thought instead of buying some cheap perfume for under 20 pounds, I might as well give this perfume a try. I got a staff member to spray it on my wrist and I spent the whole day wearing it to see if I liked it or not. At first I wasn't in love with it but as the day went on, the smell seemed to grow on me and I actually really liked it. It definitely smells better after a little while and it seemed to last all day too. I went into boots later that day and ordered myself a 50ml bottle which only cost me 23 pounds and 50 pence. I was really pleased with myself for bagging such a great bargain on a perfume and now I treasure it. I wear it only when I am going out for tea or to a friends house. It is originally priced at 48 pounds for the 50ml bottle.
The bottle is shaped like an apple with red coloring, to give the illusion of red liquid inside. It is a glass bottle with a steel sort of cap in which the spray nozzle is embedded. The design of the bottle isn't great in terms of functionality as when I try and spray it on my neck, I feel like I don't have much grip on the bottle which can easily cause the bottle to fall and break.
Over all I love the sweet smelling perfume because it smells pretty feminine and girly. I was pleasantly surprised to discover it doesn't at all smell like apples in any way. The base notes are of red raspberry and amber while the heart notes consist of rose. All the while, the top notes are of champagne, lychee and red apples. A very different but sultry combination.
I do wish I had tried this perfume before but better late than never. It is one of my new favorite perfumes and I am so glad I bought it.
I am not one to be carrying knives and scissors around in my bag with me at all. Rather if I did ever need to cut a tread off my dress or cut something open, i'd simply pull out my nail cutter and it would cut through most things I needed it too. When I turned 19 years old my uncle, who is the most organized person I know gave this Victorinox card tool to me as a birthday gift and now I cant imagine my life without it.
This multi-functional card tool is as small as a debit card but as thick as 4 debit cards put together. Still slim enough to fit in a card holder. It comes in different colors but mine is pink and it allows me to see all the little gadgets that are inside it. It comes with a small knife which isn't killer sharp, but sharp enough to cut through a card board box with a little force, more like a letter opener. It is as small as 2-3 inches, perfect to carry around.
This handy little accessory also features a very thin pen which is very difficult to write with because of the thiness but gets the job done if you happen to need a pen while your out and about. Also a plastic toothpick which is very practical if your out at the restaurant, but remember to clean it with disinfectant before putting it back in the little card.
Also, a small pair of scissors which comes in very handy, much more that you'd think. Again, this is just a tool to get little things cut while your out and about, it isn't the most comfortable to work with and also only has one loop hole to insert your finger in and the other one you simply press down on to get a cut.
It comes with a little sewing pin, which when I use I always forget to put back so luckily I can replace it with another sewing pin. This isn't a necessity, but you will find at some point you will wish you had a little pin and that's when this little card won't let you down.
The card itself has ruler imprints along the length of the card which means it also serves as a ruler. A pair of tweezers is also inserted in this card which believe me, are very sharp and very well made. I only ever use them if I find a stray hair on my eyebrow and they are amazing to use. In fact, you have to be careful not to pinch your skin or else it will hurt!
And last but not least, it has a nail file which to be honest, i think over the years I've probably only ever used once or twice but it satisfys me to know that if ever need be, I can file down my nails while i'm on the go.
This card in no way is to be used for everyday use or to replace bigger blades and scissors etc. But, to keep in your handbag or your pocket, it is such a great way to stay organized and still have everything at hand. The amount of times I have pulled this card out for others as well as myself is countless and I always get complimented when I get seen with it. It makes a great gift, it keeps my bag de-cluttered and I can carry it around me me anywhere I go. I am so thankful to be given this as a gift, it really has helped me stay organised.
The price range varies, depending on where you buy it from, I know boots have it around Christmas time and other than that it is widely available on the internet for anywhere between 10- 15 pounds.
I absolutely adore shoes and am just one of those girls that can just never have enough. I buy shoes form new look and h&m all them time but it definitely is a treat when I am able to get my hands on a designer pair. I don't really know how long Kurt Geiger has been around for but it seems to have become more popular over the last year than ever before. I got my first pair of Kurt Geiger sandles given to me very luckily by a family member and I have been obsessed ever since.
I own four pairs of Kurt Geiger shoes and they have to be four of my nicest shoes. I have flats for everyday use and heels for a dressier occasion and all of them are very comfortable to walk in. I have never been to an actual store, I usually just order online and I haven't ever had problems with the fitting of the shoe, which means they are very true to size, nor have I had comfort problems. The quality is great, very high end looking and quite unique, but I can't say that about all of their shoes. I am a very picky and choosy person and I always find that they have quite an outrageous collection and only a few simple pretty shoes. Saying that, the ones that I do choose are very pretty and are unlike anything that I see on the high street or other websites online.
Taking care of your shoes is a must if you want them to last. I do take care of my shoes by wiping them down with a dry cloth after every use and putting them away in their box. I know it sounds absurd but I now own shoes from 6 years ago that are still in perfect condition. No matter where you get them from or how much for, taking care of your shoes will definitely make them last a lot longer.
Over all, I have found Kurt Geiger's service has been great. The ease of use of their website is amazing, their delivery is pretty fast and the products all come boxed up and protected to avoid any sort of damage to the shoe which is what I do expect from them considering Kurt Geiger is a designer shoe company.
As far as price is concerned, Kurt Geiger is pretty expensive and I refuse to spend over 50 pounds on a pair of shoes. Hence I shop online. They have a specific page dedicated to reduced shoes that are quite a lot cheaper than their original price, sometimes even less that 50% off. I have bought shoes from 15 pounds to 30 pounds on their website and that is a complete bargain considering I am getting a designer pair of shoes. Shops like new look and h&m have shoes that are dearer than that.
I love their shoes and will continue buying them. At least once a month I will go on their website and see whats in their sale collection. There always seems to be new things which is great. Even to pay full price for Kurt Geiger shoes would be totally worth it.
Chanel makeup is very well known but very expensive. It is a luxury brand and without a doubt, just by knowing that a product is Chanel, you automatically know it there is a 95% chance that the product is going to be amazing. I heard many many positive remarks about Chanel vitalumiere foundation and I had never thought of buying it. Instead I was lucky enough to be give it as a present by a member of my family and I now I know what every beauty addict raves about.
This product is amazing but only if you have great skin. It is very important that your skin be moisturized and a little dewy prior to applying this foundation for a smooth finish. If you have dry skin, it will become a little difficult to blend and will also look a little blotchy which is the last thing you want when wearing such a high end foundation.
For over 35 pounds, this product is a rip off I have to be honest but there is no harm in wanting to try something new. It does make a really good foundation if you have combination skin. I believe that this foundation will work best in the summer months when our skin isn't so dry.
It comes packaged in a glass bottle with a black pump. Very sleek looking but also very dangerous. I have to be very careful of where I put my foundation as I am scared it will fall and break and all that foundation will go to waste.
The coverage is lightweight and pretty sheer but depending on how you like your foundation, you can get a full heavy coverage if you keep building and blending. It gives a slight sheen to your face which makes you look pretty healthy and radiant. I am the colour B30 as I have Asian colored skin. There are many shades to choose from and it seems to be a pretty popular foundation. I feel very lucky to be given this as a gift and I am loving it so far. It isn't the best and the ultimate foundation, but if you want something lightweight, sheer, something that will make you look groomed, pretty and healthy, this is the foundation for you. I probably will go and get myself a bottle when this one runs out.
I came across figs and Rouge balm while online shopping at boots and thought it was pretty interesting considering it was 100 percent organic and had cute packaging. Something that isn't very popular.I am a slave for cute packaging and just cannot help myself. I did some research on it and found that so many people are using it and loving it, I was shocked I hadn't heard of it myself.
From all the appealing flavors they had online like pomegranate, aloe and mint and wild cherry etc, I chose coco vanilla because it seemed different from other balms that I've had in the past. I got it home a few days later and to be honest, the tin that it comes in is just like a Nivea or a Vaseline tin but a lot cuter because it has a pattern on it, it has fun colors and it looks a little bit vintage.
I opened the lid and got a lovely scent of chocolate straight away. that was the first ting I noticed and it was a pleasant surprise. I hate it when I buy something in a specific flavor and the smell is next to nothing. This had a very obvious chocolate and vanilla scent which is absolutely lovely.
The second thing that surprised me was the gritty look of the balm, it wasn't smooth, rather it appeared a little like an exfoliator. It got me worried at first since this is not what I wanted. I definitely was looking forward to a balm but as soon as I got a little of the product on my finger and rubbed it on the back of my hand, i realized that the grittiness actually melts with the warmth of the skin, leaving a smooth glossy finish.
I love the fact that this balm is an all in one product. It can be used for lips, hands, elbows and knees and I find that instead of carrying around lots of different products in my bag I can touch up any dry areas with this. Its a miracle product that actually works almost instantly. Because I do suffer from the flu, when I'm at work i can just dip in to my pocket, rub a little balm around my nose and my lips and I look as healthy as can be! No one would notice i'd been rubbing and pulling my nose with tissues all day.
The fact that is 100 percent organic gives me mental satisfaction. I know that i'm not rubbing any chemicals into my skin which is always good and it is is free from petroleum, a common product in lip balms.
Price wise, it isn't the cheapest product but it is also very inexpensive if you take into consideration that it is a branded product, it is an all in one balm, it is unique and it isn't temporarily going to mask the dryness, rather it will hydrate. For four pounds and ninety nine pence, i'd buy this product as presents and stock up on it or myself. Even for men, this product is perfect. I'm glad I tried it.
NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencils have been very popular for a long time now and I always thought they were just too expensive to buy. Id see celebrity makeup artists using them, i'd see beauty gurus using them, it just became one of those things that every beauty junkie had to have. I refused to invest in them at first but now, while I am trying to expand my makeup collection, I thought it was time I owned one and saw for myself what the hype was all about.
I bought the eye shadow pencil in the color milk which is a matte white color, perfect for using on the eyelid before applying shadow. I noticed it had a creamy texture that creased on my eyelids. That wasn't very pretty at all so I used an eye primer before applying the eye pencil which significantly reduced creasing. It made the rest of my eye makeup stand out a lot more. I used it as a highlight on my brow bone and on my cupids bow and on my waterline to brighten up my eye area and give the illusion of wider eyes. It is a very versatile product that can be used in several places on the face during makeup and it is quite flattering. It definitely brightens everything up and gives your skin a healthy appearance when used correctly.
I now know what all the hype was about but I don't think it is that special. Its nice to have as part of my collection and I do see myself using it a lot but it's not a must have. You can definitely achieve a lovely makeup look without this eye pencil.
The pencil is a bit like a crayon. It is a little chunky and after a few uses, the nib does go blunt so every now and again it needs sharpening. This isn't a problem because most eyeliner pencils do always need sharpening.
NYX jumbo eye pencils are priced at 4 pounds and 50 pence which isn't cheap but is a lot cheaper than some of the other eye shadow pencils out there. I didn't mind paying that price for it because at the end of the day you do pay for the brand name as well. Over all, i'm glad I bought it and tested it. It is a nice addition to my collection and Although I don't think it is a staple, I do think I will try out the other colors sometime soon as well.
I bought my first ever Kate moss lipstick last month from boots and I now own three of them. I heard so much about them but never bothered too much with trying them until a month ago. I have to be honest, they are not out of the ordinary, they are just a lipstick but in comparison to some very cheap lipsticks that I have tried, this is a lot better quality and the coverage is really amazing.
The lipstick comes in a black tube with Kate moss's signature in red which looks pretty chic. The style of the packaging is definitely very high end. I own three of these lipsticks in the colors 01 which is a true red, 03 is a perfect nude and 12 which is a deep coral color. I absolutely love all of these colors because they are the perfect shades for everyday use and the color you see on the bullet is the exact color that you're going to get on your lips.
They are meant to be long lasting lipsticks and I do manage a couple of hours before I feel like I have to touch up. It starts fading slowly and after eating and drinking, it does definitely need re applying just to keep the lips looking tidy. What I love about these is that they are not completely matte nor are they glossy therefore you get the perfect balance. I would however advise a lip liner be use to avoid smudging. The texture is pretty creamy therefore the lipstick can be easily smudged. I love it and for 5 pounds and 49 pence, these lipsticks are a complete bargain. I will definitely be buying these lipsticks over and over again, the quality of them is just so good.
My aunt is a big Clinique fan. She has a habit of going down to their stand in the department store every couple of months, talking to their advisers and she always comes back with something or the other. I never got what her hype was all about. Then she got a free gift with one of her purchases one day with a few miniature products and she decided to give it to me to test and try out. I was obviously very pleased because I had wanted to try the products out but I didn't want to spend money on something I was unsure about.
The first thing I tried was this all about eyes cream which came in a small glass orange coloured container. The packaging was appealing I must admit. One of my main problem areas is actually my dark circles under my eyes so I was very impatient to see what this cream could do for me. I applied it to my under eye area before going to bed and it was very smooth and lightweight and felt like a luxurious product. It softened my under eye area, it hydrated it but after continuous use for a week, I didn't see much of a difference. It was really disappointing because I did have high hopes. I just think that it would maybe work for someone with tired eyes or dehydrated eyes, but if you naturally have dark shadows, this will not lighten them at all. For an everyday eye cream just to make sure your eye area is looked after, this is perfect. But if you have some sort of issue with wrinkles or dark circles, this isn't going to solve it.
It is said to be a moisture rich cream which in the long run, boosts natural collagen production. I of course had other expectations. I do not doubt on the other hand that it is definitely hydrating for the eye area.
Another thing that bothered me a little about this cream was that it smelt very much of chemicals. It didn't smell very nice which I wouldn't care about had the cream worked.
A 15ml bottle retails for 25 pounds which is a lot of money considering it is only a small amount. I'm glad I didn't spend any of my money buying the product. I definitely need something that specifically targets dark circles. I know they have now come out with 'even better eyes dark circle corrector' and as much as I am tempted to go and buy it, I am holding out a little longer for other people to see results.
The olbas inhaler is a must for someone who suffers from a blocked nose and the flu regularly like myself. I find that it instantly gives me relief for a short while until I have to inhale again. It unblocks my nose and feels like taking a deep breath of fresh air.
The olbas inhaler is infused with peppermint oil, Levomenthol, Eucalyptus oil and Cajuput oil, all which is proven to provide relief from a stuffy nose. Even though I prefer rubbing Vicks over my nose and chest and inhaling it naturally, it not very pleasant if you have to leave the house. It is quite strong smelling and sticky looking to walk out with therefore carrying the Olbas inhaler is very practical. It takes a couple of seconds for me to just bend down under my desk and inhale the Olbas inhaler when I am at work and I feel a lot better. Also a big plus point is that I don't end up smelling like Vicks when I am out and about. I don't care so much when I am in my bedroom, but it is unpleasant when you are in public.
An Olbas inhaler instantly works like magic. I have sometimes sniffed too hard and it feels like a short brain freeze but it has never resulted in a headache nor have I had any side effects. Its small and it is handy and is available at all big supermarkets and pharmacy's for only one pound and forty nine pence. It's quite cheap considering it makes all the difference to a blocked nose. I really wouldn't be surprised if it retailed for 3-5 pounds.
Also, it is worth mentioning that I have one in my handbag all the time for general use, (if I ever get a blocked nose out of the blue while I'm out) and it lasts me for up to 6-9 months. The smell doesn't fade away over time and obviously I only use it when I need it. On the other hand during a severe flu I use it and then throw it away once I have recovered. I don't think it is a good idea to keep and reuse a inhaler that is full of flu germs. Over all, I have been using inhalers for a long time to relieve me from a stuffy nose and I do see myself using them in the future too. I prefer inhaling rather than a nasal spray and I don't know what I would do without the Olbas inhaler.
Unfortunately with cold weather comes a runny nose and for me, I find I have tissues everywhere. In my pockets, in my hand, rolled up my sleeve, I use tissues as if I manufacture tons of them. I find it hard to keep buying different kinds of tissues as it turns out to be quite expensive, toilet rolls kitchen towels and pocket tissues, I don't think I can afford to buy any other. Recently I had a very bad flu and I usually just keep a toilet roll in my bed with me but I noticed that It was really hurting my nose. It scratched and it peeled the sides of my nose and just cleaning my nose became a pain. It came to the point where I didn't want to unblock my nose by blowing it out, instead I gave myself a headache by sniffing continuously. I then had to venture out and get the cheapest tissue box I could and I bought Tesco's everyday value facial tissues.
The tissues come in a thin cardboard box which is cream in colour and have purple printing over them. Very basic. Also there is an oval opening from which you pull the tissues out. Nothing appealing.
They cost me just over 60 pence and one box has 225 tissues in it. That is quite a lot of tissues if you think about it but when I got home, I discovered the tissue itself is so thin, if you have the flu you have to pull two out to blow your nose, if not more! It is a little disappointing but what can you really expect for such a small price.
I think these tissues are perfect for wiping the crumbs from your mouth but for blowing your nose or cleaning anything is definitely a big no. They are hardly absorbent and I think it is better to invest in one good box of tissues rather than using 2-3 tissues at a time and buying them over and over again. I regret buying them but I have to mention they are not rough at all. They are quite soft so when I was cleaning my nose, they were gentle on my skin. Given the agony I was in, just a soft tissue was enough to comfort me for a while. So I wasn't completely disappointed. But if you ask me, don't buy them for any other reason than to wipe your hands clean. They are not made to soak up liquids of any sort!
