The foundation comes in a wide range of skin tones, so it's suitable for just about anybody really. It's also well priced (generally £5 for 30ml) and comes in a simple yet stylish glass bottle. The foundation can be purchased from virtually every drugstore and you can also find it online for a slightly cheaper price. The bottle features a very handy pump dispenser, and fits conveniently inside your handbag.
I wear foundation everyday, and also like full coverage - so I look for a foundation that is going to last and one that is going to help me achieve full coverage. By the claim that it will give me '25 hour' coverage, I was not reluctant at all to purchase it. After trying it out, I must admit, the '25 hour' claim is possibly a slight exaggeration. Admittedly it did have a thick consistency and gave me good coverage when first applied - but, it only really lasted for around 6 hours before it started to come off. I was very disappointed by this as I was really hoping for a product that would last throughout the day, but unfortunately this foundation didn't.
I would recommend this foundation for somebody who wishes to achieve thick/full coverage of spots/blemishes etc that doesn't mind reapplying throughout the day. The foundation is good while it lasts, but most definitely doesn't live up to it's '25 hour' lasting power.
I am a big fan of The Body Shop's extensive amazingly scented skin care range, but I've never tried their make-up before purchasing the 'Define & Lengthen' mascara. From the consistently high quality products The Body Shop produce, I had really high expectations before trying out my new purchase.
I'm a sucker for bright and eye-catching packaging (stupid, I know), which evidently this mascara does not have. So I then relied on a nice catchy label to trigger my purchase - but evidently, this mascara does not have that either. Despite the mascara not meeting my usual requirements; it did, however, boast the words 'define' and 'lengthen', something we all look for in a mascara right?
After applying a thin coat of the mascara onto my eyelashes, I was thrilled to see that the mascara had done exactly what it boasted - 'define' and 'lengthen'. My eyelashes are naturally rather short, but after using this they appeared extended and surprisingly unclumpy. You do not need a lot of this product to achieve unclumpy, lengthened and defined eyelashes - which means the product lasts for a long time!
The brush is relatively thin and long, which makes it easy to apply to the corners and bottom lashes. Also, the mascara doesn't dry out - unlike most mascaras. I'd been using the mascara for almost 3 months before it ran out and that's with it being used every single day. The mascara also comes in two different colours - brown and black. You can pick it up from your local Body Shop store, from a Body Shop party or you can order it direct from the Body Shop website (www.thebodyshop.co.uk) for around £6-7, which is a lot cheaper than many other mascaras.
I would certainly recommend this mascara to anybody who wanted natural looking, elongated lashes. It doesn't really 'thicken' lashes, as some people want - but it definitely redeems itself by lengthening them. Overall, a very good buy! It's not overly expensive, and doesn't irritate eyes (even sensitive ones). And, it's ophthalmologically and dermatologically tested.
Soap & Glory is a beauty company offering a large range of beauty products/cosmetics - founded by the owner of Bliss. S&G do not test their products on animals, which is delightful to hear! They also offer an extensive range of high quality products at a reasonable price.
'Pulp Friction' is a gentle yet VERY effective body scrub - presented in a tall bright pink tube (which is very handy for use in the shower) displaying quirky and witty phrases. It can be purchased for around £8 in many Boots stores, the Boots website (www.boots.com) or direct from www.soapandglory.com.
The product is labelled as a 'foamy fruity body scrub' and I can tell you, it is exactly that! The scent somewhat differs from the signature scent of Soap & Glory products, it's more fruity and intriguing. The fragrance is known as 'Frutigo' and consists of a blend of jungle pomelo essence, frozen yuzu, green fig and orange oil. You can also grab yourself the full range of products in the 'Frutigo' scented range, which all complement this body scrub - leaving you smelling delicious!
Like many others, I have very sensitive skin. I was thrilled when I used this product as it didn't irritate my skin or feel 'scratchy' and harsh; unlike most body scrubs. With this scrub, a small blob goes far! The scrub has a creamy consistency and feels more like a thick shower gel, which is very different to the usual 'thick paste' feeling of many scrubs. The scrub gently foams up on the skin as you start to rub. The pumice gently scrubs away all of your dead skin whilst giving you a slight 'massaging' sensation. Unlike other body scrubs containing pumice, the pumice particles aren't hard to get off of your skin - they easily slide off along with the foam.
I would definitely recommend this product as it smells delicious and leaves you also smelling delicious. It's not harsh on the skin so is suitable for use on all skin types. A small blob is all you need, so the tube lasts for a long long time. And most importantly, this product leaves you with a 'satin' feel to your skin and is most definitely worth the money.
