Innocent sprung on the market a couple of years ago with their (then) small range of fruit smoothies at a modest price. The demand rose quickly, catapulting 'innocent smoothie' into mass production, which is where we are today.
Personally, the only flavour which wets my appatite is the banana and strawberry flavour, however there are many other weird and wacky combinations which my friends seem to like.
However these smoothies are all good, but the proce has generally risen, even with the introduction of competition. At the moment a 1 litre catron of innocent smoothie (regardless of flavour) will set you back £2.99 and upwards (depending on supermarkets) however a tropicana alternative is around £1.99 which contains the exact same ingredients.
Now both these products are not made from concentrate and in a 250ml serving, contain 2 portions of friut, but in my opinion the innocent smoothie tastes better.
Overall i would recommend the innocent smoothie, however it is a tad expensive.
p.s - do not be fooled by the laid back approach of the text on the carton, they are an extremely profitable company (just saying that it is a marketing ploy)
This above would be my review in total if only one word reviews were aloud, however it would not really truely encompass the greatness of this product.
Del Monte as a manufacturer are well known and trusted across the nation for many fruit involved products. This product is just one flavour of three (availible in my supermarket, if more let me know) and I have to say are amazing. Personally I would rather have a choclate bar than a piece of fruit, but this has replaced the choclate (big statement to make, I know!). Made from real fruit (ie. not from concentrate) one of these bars has the equivalent of 2 portions of fruit & veg.
The truely great thing about this product is that you can have it as an ice-cream, or let it melt in a glass and have it as a smoothie.
Personally i would recommend this product highly as it is a cheapish (in comparison to innocent and tropicana) and extremely delicious.
This product was purchased after the car dealer quoted me £1000 for a built in system.
This product caught my eye as it has a touch screen and a very easy to use interface, with things labeled far apart so its hard to 'accidently' choose something with 'large fingers'. This product comes with a computer link up so that new versions of the maps can be downloaded, for a fee, which seems a bit 'iffy' since the price off the product is so big in comparison to the compitators.
When using this product in the car its display is easy to see, even with the glare from the sun. At night the background turns dark and the roads glow white, which helps to see where your going in the dark.
Overall i would not recommend this product as the competitors offer similar products foir cheaper, and in some cases free updates (usually for a year only).
I bought this DVD after being disapointed that it was not shown in the cinema where I live (bought from amazon; good service with free delivery).
This movie is based on the Grindhouse classics of the 70's and 80's where men did there own stunts, before CGI, so don't expect any 'unrealistically huge' stunts, however some pretty amazing stuff still happens. Tarantino's use of diologe in this film is superb, with quotes that make your mouth-water at just hearing them. Without giving away too much of the story line the film is based in cowboy countries in two main locations.
This film is part of a double feature with 'Planet Terror' so if you really want to appriciate this, watch 'Planet Terror' too.
Overall i really recommend this film as it really captures tarantino's vision of creating a low budget 70's feel horror movie. As well as this the car chase scenes in the movie are what tarantino strived for excellence, this shows in the final feature.
I recently purchased this item (from amazon with insurance and a case; excellent service as always). It is a simple plug and play device that can play both audio and video files, as well as having a radio function.
I found this product to fit my needs perfectly. It is smaller than other players of this size and capability and cheaper in some instances (check www.pricerunner.co.uk for up to date prices). The product comes with software which i found to be a little confusing, however just a simple search on google i found updates which makes the whole 'adding files' easier and quicker. The ipod is the best product for searching for music (the wheel) however i have found that the search functions on this product are just as easy to use.
The battery life is a bit suspect, but this is the same with all the products in this category (about 3 hrs while playing video).
Finally extra memory space can be added using an SD card, which is a function that not many other players offer.
The sound-quality is fairly good, but to make it better, a small investment in new earphones is needed as the ones that come woth the product are useless.
I can recommend this product as it is a nice piece of kit which is put together nicely (good build quality).
I bought this after purchasing the Canon IXUS 75 digital camera (from amazon.co.uk; excelllent service as usual).
This product fits the camera in question perfectly and still leaves space for extra memory cards and such. However there is no space for an extra battery pack which would make this product idea. It is made from a good quality leather (had mine for a while now and no obvious wear marks) and does not bulk up the camera so that it can still fit in your pocket.
The only reason why i bought this product was because I found that the large screen on the camera scratches very easily (more than i expected) and this provides the perfect protection.
I recommend this product as it gives pertection and does not take up too much extra space. I would advise to try and find a deal with this case included or try and haggle for a free one when buying your camera as the staff will invariably cater to your demands.
I recieve this product as a present for christmas.
This is a USB 2.0 1GB flash memory stick.
Over the past 3 months I have had this product I have been impressed with it. It is compatible with most computers (windows xp and vista). It is a 'plug and play' USB stick which quickly can load and save files from the computer (much quicker than my buffalo 1GB flash stick). The plastic coating which protects the drive seems to be very durable, i have droped it countless times and not even a crack (even into water once, still works).
Unfortunatley there are some drawbacks. The size of the flash stick is the same for all the versions, 2 and 4 GB. As well as this it sometimes does not connect with my computer, even after reinserting it (but to be fair, it does not happen often).
Overall i recommend that if you were to by this product, maybe spend an extra £3 and get the 2GB or some more for the 4GB version as they seem to be a better deal.
This product was purchased to complement the new dj decks I aquired from a friend (bought from Dixons).
The headphones have an adjustable head strap so that it fits all sizes (however the smallest setting is still a bit big so be careful to try it out at the shop). The headphones come with two audio plugs, which makes it compatible with mp3 players and high end dj equipment. The length of the lead from the audio plug to the headphones is long (around 3m) and is useful for roaming. The sound quality is excellent, the foam 'wraps' around your ears, which helps to keep background sound out, which inturn gives a clearer sound. As well as this the sound quality from the headphones themself is amazing, even increasing the bass on the audio player does not mess up the sound.
After a year of owning this product there are some build quality issues. The leather like product covering the foam has become worn down and started to break. As well as this, the lead which is connected to the headphones has become loose and has recently started to affect the sound quality (before you ask I have treated the headphones well, and not ruff-housing them).
Overall i will not recommend these headphones as there are plenty of competitors that offer cheaper version of basically the same product (ie. phillips offer some really good models)
This product was purchased after I found that the ipod headphones which came with my ipod were hopeless at staying in my ears while at the gym (purchased from Currys outlet).
These headphones are of the 'one size fits all' variety. The rubber 'band' keeps the actual speaker attached to the side of your head. I have found that after prolonged use the rubber 'band' starts to rub and becomes sore.
The foam ear protectors that seperate the speakers from the ear, easily wear down and holes start to form. And before you know it they become loose and fall off.
Appart from these reliability and design issues these are a good pair of headphones. The sound quality is excellent (about the same as my high quality dj decks set) and for the price are relatively cheapish (better deals can be found on www.pricerunner.co.uk, or check local outlets for sales).
Overall I would not recommend these headphones as the comfortable and build quality issues outway the positives. I would recommend however the phillips sport headphones instead as they are cheaper and more practical for sport uses.
I bought this product as an extra screen for my laptop (bought from PC world: in store, terrible service, probberly lack of staff).
It works very well with my laptop, and when my mate borrowed it, it projected the image so clearly and with the array of brightness and contrast settings it can suit all tastes. There is an auto function aswell which lets the screen adjust itself to best fit the programme which is running.
I bought this screen after alot of research into screens because in the price range £100 to £150 it has one of the fastest refresh times.
The build quality is great, it is securely pieced together with a sturdy frame and stiff angle setter to keep the screen at the right angle.
I have had it for about a year now, and i have had no problems with it, although this might be too short of a time span to make a statement over its reliability.
The maximum resolution is 1440x900, and a 0.285 mm dot pitch.
Overall I would recommend this product as it does exactly what it says on the tin, and is relatively cheap (you can find it on sale in most computer outlet stores, PC world if you do not mind the wait)
I bought this product when I found the touch pad on my laptop was becoming a pain to use (it was purchased from Currys: excellent service).
The package includes the mouse (including batterys) as well as a reciever. I found that the reciever can pick up the mouse from over 10 meters away, however the clicking function of the mouse only really work from about 5 meters away (I have no idea why this is). Another thing to add is that the reciever has trouble connecting with the mouse if it is on a different height level.
The mouse has 5 clicking buttons aswell as a wheel. The extra buttons and wheel work really well with the internet as they allow for easy web-page browsing.
The battery life of the mouse seems to be really long as I have only had to change the battery once in six months. The reciever will let you know when the batterys are running down with a pop-up window.
Finally the precision of the mouse can be configurated with the CD that is supplied, but for me it was fine straight off (plug and play).
Overall i would recommend this product, even though the recieving distance is a bit suspect it is still a good product and worth a look at if your considering buying a wireless mouse for your computer.
I bought this product after discovering the speakers on my laptop were, almost none existant (bought speakers from John Lewis, excellent service). After hearing positive reviews from my friends and sampling the competators at a Currys Outlet, I decided to buy these.
When this arrived my first impressions were that the speakers were small and the sub-woofer was overly large in comparison. After plugging them in however the term 'big things come in small packages' became apparant. After first hearing the sound I was unimppressed but after fiddling with the 'windows sound' function the sound became clearer and all-round much better. The volume controls are located on the left speaker as sensor buttons (which at first looked to be unreliable, however I was pleasantly proved wrong) and the bass and treble controls are on the sub-woofer.
The build quality is of a high standard and has proven to be over the last year to be very reliable, as speakers are. The sound quality (after a bit of fiddling) is of an extremely high standard (in comparison to other competators in the price range £30 to £100).
Overall from my experiences it can be said that this speaker system is very good and worth a look at if you are contemplating buying one.
This USB memory disk has served me well over the last year I have had it (ordered from amazon: excellent service). It is a simple 'plug and play' device which atomatically loads itself onto the computer. As with most memory devices, the quoted 1 GB storage values is more like 956 MB. It is very quick to load stuff onto and take files off, quicker than other brands; for example scandisk. However, unfortunatly the build quality of the product is directly relavant to the build quality, it seems and looks flimsy (I accidendtly dropped mine and cracked the plastic casing). Also it was quite small in size (actual size) when it came out, now it seems chunky in comparison to smaller products that have a larger memory.
Taking everything into account, this is a 'good' product. It is on most occasions reliable. A couple of times it has failed to connect with my computer, but re-inserting it usually does the trick.
I would recommend this product for the 'cash light' consumer, however if you had a slightly larger budget of £12 (double the price of this) you could get the 4GB version, or an extra pound and get a scandisk (slower, but more reliable and better built so it will last longer).
Just to let you know, i am a student who lives in the city centre, i say this because this review might be biased as money is tight.
I was first a telewest subscriber for my internet and TV needs, when virgin took over. I assumed that a takeover by virgin would be a good thing as they could proberly offer more due to their contacts in the internet and TV industry, how wrong was i! In the first couple of weeks it got in a spat with sky, hence channels 'sky one' and 'sky sports news' (argubly the best channels) disappeared. When i called to complain i was assured that 'new' quality channels would appear soon-ish. Well to be fair, VirginMedia1 and Virgin Media1+1hour have arrived but have rubbish shows (in comparison to 'lost' and 'The simpsons') as well as not being active alll the time. I rang up to compalian about this, but the operator assured me that things would pick up ( i would not count on it)
The internet was the main reason why we decided to get this package from telewest and was very speedly and reliable all the time (appart from our free router which was a hunk of junk). Now with virgin media is hardly ever works (hence the reason i am writing this document in word and then i am gonna copy it onto dooyoo as soon as i head into university to take advantage of the wireless internet!). Their new initiative to turn everone of their 'Large Broadband' customers onto optical fibres (see www.virgin.com/evenfaster to check your area) is rubbish, i am in edinburgh and supposidly i am in the process of getting this new technology, i wonder how long it will take?? (retorical question- proberly months as every other 'new initiative' has taken.)
To sum up, get something else, we are in the process of terminating our service, and recommend you stay well away from virgin media too.
p.s. it is really expensive to in comparison to sky, about twice the price on the ideal packages (and before you ask, we cannot get sky as we are renting a flat and our landlord will not let us attach a dish to the side of our building....spoil-sport.)
I ordered this item recently to save my audio and video files to from my laptop to keep them safe. It was ordered from amazon and their service was as always outstanding.
The hard dive is a very simple to use USB 'plug and play' system. It loads almost insantateously with the computer and allows quick drag and drop copying.
The only down sides to this product are:
1. Actual space 465GB
2. Copying Files to it takes along time
3. The machine becomes very hot to the touch when copying files to it.
4. Does make some noise when copying, but in comparison to other models, this is normal.
However, it has been proven over the last couple of months that it is very reliable and playing audio and video files from it in windows media player is perfect. (it is not stop and starty like some models it have used, seagate)
As well as this it comes with a 4 year warranty, which gives piece of mind.
I would recommend this product to anyone needing a external hard drive to either speed up your CPU or just overflowing media files.
