I have just recieved the best birthday gift a man could wish for!! I was taken by my partner to the American golf discount outlet near meadowhall and fitted for a TAYLOR MADE NUBBINS putter. I have then of course come home and shot my personal best on my local course!! The putter I chose is the mallet design, but all the NUBBINS putters were very impressive. The NUBS are little rubber , well , nubs , that are supposed to ensure that the ball starts to roll immediately instead of skipping along for the first few feet. Trust me it works . The ball feels soft no matter how cheap and nasty it is , and lag putting is made infinately easier by the mallet design.I was more than pleased with my gift , despite it's £85 price tag. The way the man in the shop justified it was to simply ask "What is the most expensive club in your bag", "my driver" I replied. "Well how many times do you use that in a round and how many time's do you use your putter" . The math's is simple , the most used club in any golfers bag is his putter so the investment is well worth it.
Every time me and my partner go shopping we cannot resist going into Next to look at the kids stuff. My partner is always checking out Next on the internet, so the other day she decided to order the Next directory, which is a brilliant catologe, but I dissagree with the £3.00, charge for the catologue, they also charge £2.50, delivery on goods. Most other companies such as Janet Frazer, Marshal Wards, Empire etc, all send the catologue free of charge and their delivery on goods is also free. So come on Next more people would probably order the atologue if it was free.
My partner recently bought some L'oreal Le Grand Curl mascara. She has got quite short and thin eyelashes so she was looking for something that would help, and this mascara does actually make them look thicker and longer and does believe it or not make them curl. It goes on quite thick and she found that it tends to clump a little , but after a little practice, she now finds it quite easy to apply. The packaging is also quite groovy
My daughter has just had her ninth birthday. She got quite a lot of birthday money and didn't know what to spend it on, so I suggested a mobile phone as she had been pestering me for one for quite some time, she thought this was a cool idea! So we went shopping right away. We found the motorola pay and go to be the best value as it was reduced to £45.00. It came with £10.00 worth of calls, an ever lasting voucher which means you can top up when you want to there is no time limit, all the vouchers you do buy go on calls only and you don't pay a service charge. Also with every £10.00 voucher you buy you get one free land line number for 60 days. Stephanie buying this phone has been a godsend , we can always get in touch with her while she is out with her friends, and more importantly she can get in touch with us if she needs to. She has our home number as her free number , so she can phone as often as she likes.
Tomb Raider is probably one of the best games i have ever played. I have completed all four games released so far, and quite often go back to them and do them again. This is a game about a woman called Lara Croft, yes she does raid tombs, has to fight some weird looking monsters, and work out some very challenging puzzles, to fully appreciate the Tomb Raider series you need to start at the very beginning. She can be very difficult to handle, but practise makes perfect. I am waiting and hoping for Tomb Raider five.
This has got to be the best comedy on TV. I had never seen it before, until one day some of my friends insisted I sat down and watched it. I found it absolutly hilarious from start to finish. After seeing just one episode I borrowed my friends full series, every episode had me bursting at the seems with laughter, now I am addicted and watch it religously. They are even funny to watch them again and again. We now have the full collection, and wait in anticipation for the new series.
My partner bought some Dove roll on deodorant today. She has eczema so she normally buys fragrance free deodorants, as perfumed ones irritate her, but Dove claims to be mild and moisturising, so she thought she'd give it a try. When she tried it she found it was still sticky ten minutes after she put it on. It also smells quite strong and did irritate a little, so if you have sensivtive skin you should probably steer clear.
My partner has blonde hair, and is always complaining that it looks dull and dismal. She has tried highlighting it , but still, after a day it is back to being dull. Then one day while shopping for shampoo, she spotted the Sheer blonde range of products by John Frieda, it contains a highlight enhancer, and also helps against build up which dulls blonde hair. It is quite expensive at £3.95 for 250mls of shampoo or conditioner, but it really does seem to work.
My three year old daughter Emily watchs the Tweenies all the time, she loves them, especially because they are so colourful. They talk properly unlike, the Teletubies. They do all the action songs, wheels on the bus and head shoulder knees and toes, etc. They also cover some really good and useful topics such as littering and telling lies, which i think is brilliant. They definetly get a thumbs up from me and my daughter. You can watch this on BBC or BBC choice on Sky.
I love going to Ikea even if it's only to browse. Ikea stores are so big they stock almost every thing you could possibly need all under one roof, from baby's cots, blankets etc, to fully fitted kitchens. Every thing is really modern and up to date. You also get some really good ideas from their display rooms. Most things are reasonably priced although you do get the odd thing that is silly money. They also support a creche facility, free of charge, but children can only stay for half an hour, that is the only downfall. There is also a cafeteria where you can have a minute, get a drink, and something to eat.
Being a novice computer user I was told to invest in a utility programme to help get me through. What an excellent piece of advice that was!! The utility that I chose was Norton, mainly because everyone seems to stock it and it was recomended by most shop assistants. I installed it on to my computer and it gives me total peace of mind. All I need to do is run a system check ( a simple three click task) every three or four days and follow the simple instructions to keep my PC running smoothly. As yet there has'nt been a problem it could'nt fix.
We have had Sky digital for about a year now, and we watch a lot of TV on an evening when we are in bed. The only problem is we cannot turn the TV over upstairs, so we have to keep running up and down stairs to turn it over, which was a pain in the butt, untill we got the Sky TV link. This is a little infra red box which sits near your TV and enables you to watch the same sky digital channel on a second TV, and still control the digibox, this costs £24.99. Aternatively, for for £39.99, an accredited Sky installer will take care of the whole installation for you and you'll also get a second remote control.
Recently I was walking around the chemist looking for yet another new razor to try, every razor I get, after a couple of shaves rip's me to shreads. But instead of a razor I spotted The Ultimate Experience shaving oil for men, so I got some to try. You only need 2-3 drops, rubbed between palms and apllied to your wet face then shave as normal, it is really smooth, and my razors don't cut me anymore, it leaves my face feeling really nice and cool. They also do it for women as well.
I don't know if any one out there has the same problem as me when it comes to cleaning my three year old daughters teeth, it is an absolute nightmare, she bites the tooth brush so I cannot move the brush around in her mouth. One day we were out shopping when I saw a Philips jordan electric toothbrush on special offer for £14.99, normal price around £27.99, so I snatched one up. Now she brushes her teeth all by herself, and even gets right to the back ones, it is billiant she really does enjoy doing her teeth.
I don't know whether any body has the same problem as my partner when it comes to buying clothes, you see the problem is she is only 5'1" tall and only a size 8, and when we go shopping to womens stores every thing is either to long or to baggy. Then one day we decided to check the childrens 9 to 15 range in New Look, to our surprise they have a very classy and stylish range of great quality clothes. Who would have thought my 27 year old partner would be doing most of her shopping in kids shops, but she does, and she loves it!.
