I brought this item when the shop I went into had sold out of my regular moisturising cream, and I decided to choose this one as it said my skin would feel softer for upto 7 days.
Garnier have made some bold claims with this moisturiser, on the front of the bottle it clearly states "skin feels intensely hydrated for up to 7 days", however the eagle eyed amongst us might have noticed those two little stars after that bold claim, and if you find the small print on the back of the bottle, you'll read that in fact, to achieve this intensely hydrated skin, you should apply this lotion twice daily for 7 days.
The main moisturising ingredients in this body lotion are actually: mineral oil, glycerin, palm oil and cetearyl alcohol (a non-drying form of alcohol). These work nicely together to hydrate, add oils to and protect the skin, however the shea butter is so low down on the ingredients list that it's unlikely to do much, but as I brought it for the shea butter I was pretty annoyed. Also on the list is benzyl alcohol, this is a nasty drying form of alcohol however there is very little of this within the cream
There is a very slight fragrance, however I didn't like it, id of preferred it to ether have a very nice strong smell of the shea butter or no smell at all.
The lotion is quiet runny and thin but it sinks in quiet quickly and doesn't leave you skin feeling sticky.
I didn't find this any different to any other moisturising cream, and I used it as directed on the bottle for over 7 days twice daily, My skin felt soft and hydrated, but once I stopped using it, it didn't last any longer than 24 hours, so their 7 day claim in my opinion is not true and I think I'll definitely stick to my regular cream, but this is good as a back up.
I occasionally wear fake tan; I go through peaks and troughs of wearing it.
I have tried a lot of products many of which have sent me funny colours, left me patchy or just plainly did nothing, but a few years ago I saw this product in the pound shop and I had heard a few rumours going round about how good it was so I decided to give it ago.
The packaging is pretty basic, It is clean cut and has a clear simple logo which can be easily picked out from other products on the shelf.
However if you use it religiously the packaging can become a greeny fake tan colour, but to me that doesn't actually matter.
It comes in a plastic bottle with a plastic lid which is pretty sturdy, it has a dispenser pump, the dispensed amount is good size but you can easily achieve a smaller amount if needed.
The bottle states that it is best applied in the morning and left 4-6 hours before showering, however I was always worried id get streaky throughout the day so I always applied mine at night about an hour before bedtime. I always slept on a towel just incase, but it hardly rubbed off, and even if it did I never noticed any unevenness.
If you prefer a darker tan can always reapply after a shower, St Moriz recommend reapplying 5 to 7 days after for a medium tan and 3-5 days after for a dark tan.
The foam is a chocolatey, reddy, browny, green colour which gives you an instant brown glow, this instant glow and the colour of the mousse means that its easy to see where you have or haven't applied the tan and so that the application even.
It is an olive based tan, so sometimes if you have deodorant on or a perfume or cream on your skin it can make it go green rather than the nice brown you intended, however its pretty easy to wash off.
Application is pretty easy as it is tinted, I always apply my tans with a mitt and this one was no different, I think it helps make it even and prevents stained hands.
The mousse is a nice consistency but can be a little bit wet, which means even after 15mins you still feel a bit sticky, but if you wear dark clothes your fine, It does wash out of fabrics but I wouldn't suggest being tacky and wearing a white skinny dress as it can tint your clothing.
The smell of the mousse is slightly weird. It doesn't have that usual fake tan smell of digestive biscuits, but it also isn't a fresh scent ether, I find the smell of st moriz more pleasant than other tanning products.
My only problem with this tan is that if you forget your wearing products on your skin you can go green, and sometimes the mousse can go a little liquid and leak, but for an average price of £2.99 this is well worth the buy, this is my favourite tanning product by far.
I'm not one for coating my face in loads of makeup but I was given this along with a few other bits as a Christmas presents.
To buy it's not cheap its £21.50 for only 11ml, so if anything I was grateful someone brought me it.
Benefit claims that the product once applied you will get the look of brighter, smoother skin. It contains light-reflecting pigments to help brighten all skin tones and raspberry & camomile to soothe skin.
The ingredients was a long list from some degree chemistry experiment so I'm not entirely sure what is actually in the product.
The product is a shimmery pink colour of a medium consistancy.
To apply you twist the base until the primer is distributed on the top, it comes out like little squiggles and you don't need a lot to cover your whole face. you apply with fingertips onto the face and blend the primer in an even, upward motion. Wear alone or under makeup for smoother makeup application. Gently pat on during the day to re-brighten your complexion.
After about two minutes of having this on my face it felt tight and then started tingling, I had never used a primer before but decided to apply a flawless foundation that was what was needed, I didn't actually apply foundation because I thought this was enough. After 5 minutes my face was burning which I decided was not good and went straight to look in the mirror, my face was bright red, burning and sore I immediately washed it off. I have no known allergies but something in this did not agree with my body, I decided to re try abit on my hand and it was fine, so I applied to my face again and once again my face burnt and was red. I ended up selling this product and have never used any skin make up on my face again
For £21.50 I wasn't happy, I may not of brought the product but someone else did and for this to happen was upsetting.
I wouldn't use this again my skin clearly does not agree with it.
I brought this laptop after I accidently broke my old one, I have had it for over a year and I had always been told dell was one of the best and when Tescos had a special offer on I decided Id get one, I went the passion purple lid and at just over £300 it was cheap for what I received.
I have no idea on the spec of the laptop so this is what dell says '' built-in Wi-Fi. A powerful Intel Pentium Dual Core processor offers seamless multitasking, coupled with 4GB of internal memory making it perfect for everyday computing tasks. The 15.6" WXGA TL widescreen display offers stunning image quality for watching your favourite movies. A huge 500GB hard drive lets you store all your favourite photos and music, and quickly transfer your digital photos and music from your camera, phone or mp3 player with the 7-in-1 media card reader. The Dell Inspiron comes pre-installed with Windows 7 Home Premium, and offers a 4-4.5 hour battery life, making it ideal to take with you on the go.''
There is no built in webcam, but webcams are cheap to come by, so that wasn't an issue.
The laptop is fast and easy to use, the main screen of the laptop looks like that of a mac, and it comes with all the usual installations windows has, such as the media player, internet explorer and much more.
However dell say the battery life is 4 to 4.5 hours I will totally disagree with this, if it's not on charge the battery only last approx. 2hours if your that lucky.
I have found that the internet explorer crashes a lot, and the laptop as a whole has become very slow and every so often it becomes completely unresponsive.
Also I have found that it gets very hot and starts making very loud noises while its trying to cool itself down, I understand being sat on a lap, a table and sofas is not going to do it any good, however I have cleaned out the fans and it is still extremely hot, on some occasions I have to lift the back end of the laptop up to cool it down else it would literally burn my jeans off my leg.
It's a good laptop for the price, but the battery life, overheating and internet problems leave a lot to be desired. I'd recommend this as a first laptop, if you're on a budget or a studnt as the ram and memory space is excellent, its super-fast and stores a lot considering its such a small laptop.
I enjoy using this laptop, its ease of use makes like a lot easier and with a good sized key board and good track pad its excellent.
I love palmers cocoa butter, and when I saw they had a stretch mark cream I just had to try it, technically I shouldn't have stretch marks, I haven't had children, I have never lost weight rapidly or gained weight rapidly, but when I was a teenager I grew pretty fast and I ended up with stretch marks. These stretch marks have always bothered me and I have tried a lot to hide them.
This lotion is made from pure cocoa butter and enriched with Vitamin E, Collagen, Elastin and Shea Butter, Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks hydrates the skin; this helps the epidermis to maintain its natural elasticity and helps to prevent the tears which appear as stretch marks. It is dermatologically tested and can also help to relieve the dryness associated with stretched skin due to pregnancy.
This lotion is not cheap, but as always Superdrug usually has special offers on this cream and that's when I stock up. As with all palmers lotions you get the option of which kind of bottle or tub you want, and as I found with their regular lotion their pump bottle sometimes does decide to not pump anymore so I have been buying the squeeze bottle.
I generally use this every morning after a shower and at night after a bath , I apply all over my body and add a little extra to where i have the strech marks. The cream is of thick consistency but not extra thick like a body butter, its also not to thin like some budget creams, it has the same distinct smell all of all the other palmers lotions and you don't need a lot to cover your whole body.
I used one whole bottle and unfortunately I didn't find it did anything to my stretch marks, it maybe lightened them but this maybe have also been a placebo, due to the fact I wanted them desperately to disappear.
In future I'll stick to their original formula its cheaper and does exactly the same job.
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula is one of my favourite body lotions.
I first started using this when I stole my mums because I loved the smell of it so much, I literally fell in love with it and hardly use any other body creams.
For the price there is nothing that compares to its luxuriousness and scent, and quiet often it's on special offer in Superdrug.
It comes in many different tubs and bottles, but my favourite is the squeezey bottle rather than the one with the pump, as some times the pump decides it just does not want to work anymore.
The labelling is a good balance of luxury and budget, it's simple yet stylish and it makes it easy to spot on the shelf. The bottle is white with a brown and orange label.
The lotion squeezes out of the bottle with ease, and the pump is good at distributing the perfect amount but as I said before sometimes the pump just does not want to work.
You only need about the size of a 50p to use on your body unless you have extremely dry skin, but I always apply a lot because I enjoy the smell.
The lotion is of good thickness, but it's not extra thick like body butters, or too thin like some budget creams. I mentioned the smell before but I do believe that this brand is known for the unmistakable cocoa sent. I've tried a lot of cocoa lotions and potions and I can't find one that comes close to smelling like palmers.
It is also good for any age, and any weather, you can use extra amounts during the winter when your skin is dry and cracking, but its also perfect for summer instead of using perfume.
I love this lotion and I have found not a lot else that comes close to this gorgeous cream.
I brought this item during a work experience in a hair salon, my hands became extremely dry and flaky from washing hair all day, I was recommended this from a friend who worked in a hair salon.
At £10 for 100ml it's not a cheap hand cream.
I was going to try and explain the ingredients but It looked like I need a chemistry degree.
The texture is very thick, you only need to apply a small amount, it has a slight green tinge which I assume is from the main ingredient hemp, the hemp also adds to the smell of the cream and although slightly pungent, I personally liked it.
It creates a thick barrier on the skin which helps keep the moisture in the hand, however I would not recommend this if you're continually washing your hands all day because it won't have time to soak into the skin.
This is an excellent hand cream but its best used at night with a pair of moisture gloves.
This product is classed as a protector and with that in mind it does exactly that, also often with 50% off online its a good deal and a good buy.
Since I was 16 and received my first ever lush product I have been hooked. The shop has changed massively over the past few years from being a bright yellow outside to a normal everyday black but their products have remained the same.
This discontinuation of products can be slightly annoying especially if your totally in love with it, which I have had problems with every so often, two products I have loved have both been discontinued 
The staff is always happy to help, and although sometimes you go in and know exactly what you want and you just want a quick in out their constant checking can be slightly annoying, however for those days when you need advice or you're looking for that something special for the special person they are a massive help.
Their shops are always clean and tidy, they may be slightly cluttered in some of the smaller shops and I wouldn't advise trying to go in with a pram, but in their larger shops they have masses of open space.
Their products are continually of a good standard and it's an excellent place to shop if you have any friends that are vegan as they produce vegan friendly products to. They have a vast array of products to suit skin complexions, hair types and moods; you could use a different product everyday if you brought them to go with your mood.
I wouldn't advise going to lush if you're on a budget mainly due to wanting to buy the whole shop, but some of their key products are cheap and they all work extremely well, and work much better than things you can get in a supermarket.
My only problem with lush is that the shops have changed from an individual yellow outter to a black outer, which I think takes a bit of its originality away, but their products are amazing and their staff extremely knowledgeable and always happy to help and advise.
The C905 was the first Sony Ericsson phone to break the 8 megapixel camera barrier, and quiet possibly still has one of the best cameras around. All the new smart phones barely reach 5 megapixels; it also contains a powerful xenon flash.
As a CyberShot phone, Sony Ericsson have borrowed technology from their range of market leading digital cameras. The camera on this phone has autofocus with face detection, image stabiliser, red-eye reduction and it also contains Smart Contrast, which automatically balances light and it also contains BestPicTM, this will automatically take a series of 7 pictures, so that you can choose the best one.
The phone also contains a Video camera (30 frames / second) with video stabiliser, video light and video calling.
The phone also has assisted GPS, the GPS also has geo-tagging which basically enables you to tag where and when the picture was taken.
As with some sony phones they are Walkman this one isn't, however you can play music in MP3 and AAC format and it will show you images of the album you are playing, the sound is of good quality aswell. The built-in memory isn't huge, at 160 Mbytes, but is adequate, and you can add a Memory Micro Stick to increase storage up to 8 GB. It also contains Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Text messaging and phone calling are pretty standard and easy to use.
My only down side is that the speaker broke, which was apparently a common problem with this phone, which kind of defeats the object of ringing people, but it was fixed fairly quickly and after that it worked just fine.
I would sooner have this phone over any smart phone, although you can't have apps, the camera and durability of this phone is perfect, it's just a shame mine was stolen.
I am an avid lush follower and there are not many products I havent tried.
I brought this online from their retro site, it wasnt cheap at £7.50.
The main ingredients are Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Lavender Oil, Tarragon Oil , Rosemary Oil. It comes in a round block with ego imprinted on the front. To use any massage bar you need to rub it between your hands to let the block melt so it can be evenly distributed around your body.
I mainly brought this for its properties to help aid sleep and boy does it work!!
I massaged it all over my body and added a little extra around my neck area so i could have a big wiff of it everytime i breath, I applied to about 1 hour before bed time and within 30mins i was yawning and ready for sleep.
Lush say it has a cult following and i can see why, it does what it says on the tin!
it doesnt have to be just used for self massage your partner can rub it all over you aswell, perfect for late night massages after work.
Also it doesnt just have to be used to help you sleep it can be used just to destress your day, I applied it behind my ear everyday and found I was extremely less stressed.
My only problem is that it doesnt fit into the lush massage tins so you need to keep it in the wrapper but if you leave the wrapper slightly open it does dry out, but a few extra minutes of rubbing between your hands restores it to its beauty and ready for use.
This product was part of the retro range that lush offers online, however i believe this soap has now been fully discontinued but im sure you can still find it in stores such as ebay.
the product contains honey along with a slice of actual honeycomb in the middle of the bar, the size of honey comb you recieve all depends on how big of a chunk you buy. The honey comb added a slight gloopyness to the bar which was nice.
It also contains essential oils of geranium and ylang ylang.
As with all lush products most of the ingredients are natural and if natural products they need dont excist they have safe synthetics, all free from animal testing.
My slice was part of a large birthday present full of lush lovelies, but the bar i recieved was abit mashed up and i was slightly upset.
This soap had a good loads of bubbles when rubbed with warm water, and applied nicely to the skin, it felt nice and helps to relax, however the smell was unbearable.
I assumed it would smell like honey nice sickly sweet cute bumble bee smell, and for the cost i hoped i would of been right, but it smelt vile, I used it twice in the vein hope i could get used to the smell while washing, but i couldnt, the after smell was relatively nice but when using it the smell made me want to vomit.
I received these as a gift well over 4 years ago, and they are the best straighteners I have ever used.
We have all brought cheap imitations that have pulled, snagged, got to hot, not hot enough straightners, well look no furthur.
They have ceramic heaters, a sleep mode, universal voltage, a rounded barrel and a 2.8m swivel cord.
The ceramic heating plates glide smoothly over the hair while the rounded barrel prevents them snagging on the hair.
They heat up extremely quickly, with one beep to tell you they have turned on and another beep to tell you they have reached temperature.
The sleep mode prevents the straighteners from overheating and also setting your bed on fire, I think this is an excellent idea as we have all gone for a shower while leaving the straighteners on.
The swivel cord is extremely useful for moving the straighteners around your head and prevents you getting tangled up.
They don't get too hot but they are not too cold ether, they are a perfect temperature for gliding smoothly over your hair leaving it silky smooth and frizz free, along with no snagging it makes straightening your hair a luxury instead of a choir.
Sometimes as a girl we want stuff that does what it says on the tin and these straightners are exactly that, they are no fuss, no bother.
They may be expensive but they are well worth the money, and as i have had them for well over 4 years they seem to last a life time.
I have never had a problem with them and im sure they have plenty of life left in them
Everyone likes to look after their skin, noone wants to apply horrible chemicals that will dry their face up or turn it into some chemistry experiemnt from high school, this is where lush comes in, all the ingredients are natural or are safe synthetics and they dont test products on animals.
The main ingredient in this face soap is chamomile, marigold , lavender and tea tree, along with some other essential oils for those pesky spotty faces.
It smells like chamomile, when its wet it looks like chamomile but its in a block of soap.
To apply just wet the soap and your face and rub, it creates a creamy pinky layer on your face, once this happens you just rub in whats on your face then wash off.
It leaves your skin fresh and firm but without the tightness some other soaps have.
Its excellent for spotty skin, dry skin, infact its excellent for any skin type. PLUS you dont just have to keep its amazing properties for your face you can use it all over, Its gentle yet tough on those red spots.
This product if left near water E.G in the shower, can go mushy but when this happens i pop it in a tub and squish it onto a very red spot when i get one.
Like all lush products it has a shelf life due to the fresh ingredients however used everyday this product will never end up going past its sell by date.
Ive used this product for over 2 years, its no miracle cure for acne but its excellent at helping sooth the soreness and reducing the redness.
Excellent face wash
Ive had this phone for over 2 years possibily 3, it runs on java opperating system.
I chose this phone because touch screens were in, but I wasnt sure if i could manage on a touch screen so this phone had the best of both worlds, and there are still phones being created in this fashion.
The keys are fairly small but after a while you ether get used to the touch screen and never use them or you get used to the keys and fire texts away like no bodys business.
its super fast, super easy and with its red keyboard i believe super sexy.
It does everything your average phone does, text, send pictures, call and you can browse the internet, It runs on java but im not sure if you can download apps, however it does come with some widgit, it also has some good games.
The camera is pretty good, the quality is not that of a 1500 mega pixel camera but for nights out its perfect, it doesnt have a flash though.
This phone is sturdy, its been thrown across floors, car parks, been down the toilet, its also been to festivals, it survives wet weather and im sure anything else you can throw at it.
While ive had the phone its never thrown a temper tantrun and the battery life on it is excellent.
Although I have upgraded to a new fancy smart phone, i still use this phone to take to places i wouldnt want to take my smart phone such as festivals.
It is an excellent standard phone and I was and still am extremely happy
This is a monster of a book but is perfect for anyone wanting to under go a psychology course from A level to degree, or for anyone who is just looking to understand that bit more.
This book covers all the major topics and more in enough detail, as you venture through the book it does become more complicated, but as a learner the stuff you read at the begining will become apparant as you venture through.
I brought my book when i started my access to nursing and midwifery and by the end of the course this book was my main refernce point.
The book has a user friendly desgin, its easy to follow and aslong as you dont lay down reading its user friendly to read. For the students it has the references all in one place along with page numbers for those all important assignments. This book covers all the main ideas in psychology including: the biological basis of behaviour, cognitive psychology, social psychology, developmental psych, individual differences and issues and debates.
The contents is broken down into catergories, sub catergories for easy finding and these are all colour co-ordinated. Each new chapter has an index to break down the content of the chapter. It then goes into a general introduction, giving a brief over view before it does into more detail.
There are illustrations and diagrams galore but they tie in with the content and help you to understand what the text is saying also the technical terms are written in italics so you know which words are content related. The book does contain some huge paragraphs of text but then there are different boxes surrounding to help explain what has been said, also within these boxes it gives examples of studies which have been carried out. E.G under obdenice and conformity you will find info on the stanford prision experiement.
I highly recommend this book ; it's a great read, easy to follow, understand and extremely usefull for students.
