      DON’T GET EVEN, GET ESURE ........ www.esure.com esure ® is a new insurance company set up by Peter Wood, the founder of Direct Line. At esure, they believe that better drivers deserve better policies which means bigger rewards with a good driving history. With most insurers the discount stops at 65% for 5 years no claims history but at esure they give 70% and this rises to 75% once you have earned a futher 5 years no claims history. Their car insurance policies seem to have an excellent package of benefits for complete peace of mind. Although this op is for car insurance its interesting to note that esure provide insurance for household contents & buildings too, with the belief that the same should hold true for these insurances as for car insurance; that you should be treated as an individual and you should not have to pay for the carelessness of others. Having previosuly worked in the insurance industry as a Broker for many years it has always astounded me that most insurance companies don’t offer any no claims discount for contents insurance. Well, at esure they do. If you have a 5 years no claims history they will give a 40% discount immediately rising by 1% each claim-free year to a maximum of 45%! If you renew with 5 years NCD you can protect the discont for a small premium. BEFORE GETTING A MOTOR INSURANCE QUOTE ESURE ASSUME - You have a min.of 4 years no claims - You are the main driver of the car - You are the owner and registered keeper of the car - All drivers, including yourself, have been resident in the UK for the last 12 months - All drivers, including yourself, do not have any medical conditions that have to be reported to the DVLA - All drivers, including yourself, have no prosecutions pending - All drivers including yourself do not have an occupation in the following categories: taxi or minicab driver, proprietor or co

Hopefully to make easier, below are a few tips that may help you. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ NAVIGATION Don't use the 'back' and 'forward' buttons on your web browser! To make sure you always have the most accurate information, use the navigation buttons and links on each page. Most pages will have their own 'back' and 'next' buttons at the bottom of the page, and on the left hand side you'll find a navigation bar. On the navigation bar, the page you are on will be highlighted in orange. Pages you have already completed are highlighted in light orange, and if you need to go back and change your details, just click on one of these light orange links. The pages you still need to complete are highlighted in blue. Along the top of the pages in the quote and payment process, there’s a progress bar which shows you just how far you are and how many more pages you have to complete to get a quote, or buy a policy. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ HELP What you will notice throughout the site is that there are little help icons. If you ever need help, just click on one of these icons, and a helpful explanation will appear in a blue window on the left-hand side of the screen. The help text provides useful information if you don't understand the questions asked. You can close the window by clicking on 'close'. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ERROR MESSAGES If you enter incorrect information the field(s) where you have an error will be highlighted in red. A red error message will
      also appear on your screen, and you can close the error message by clicking on 'close'. You will also see an error message if they are unable to give you a quote for any reason. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ THE ‘CUSTOMISE MY CAR COVER’ PAGE On the 'customise my car cover' page, you can choose certain limits on your car insurance. So you can increase or decrease your cover for in-car audio, personal accident, personal belongings, medical expenses, voluntary excess, and add or remove motoring legal protection, NCD protection and breakdown cover. If it seems a bit confusing, don't worry because there is a help demo on the bottom left hand side of the 'customise my car cover' screen to show you exactly what to do. Unfortunately, due to some types of cars some options may not be available for change. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ DON’T HAVE TIME TO BUY ON-LINE? If you get a quote and want to buy an esure policy, but don't have time - don't worry. You can save your quote by entering a few personal details, and can come back and retrieve your quote in the next 30 days (or up to your cover start date, if earlier). You can then buy your policy online and all your insurance documents will be sent to you. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ DON’T WANT TO BUY ON-LINE? Having duly trudged my way around this site with the intollerable download time for each page almost making me quit on numerous occasions, I decided to exit the net and phone the company direct on 0845 603 7877 to check the premium I had quoted to me was in fact correct. A nice friendly man (I’ll him John for the sake of this op.) answered and after I had complained about their website being slow and that I couldn’t bear a moment longer trying to retrieve my original quote, John explained that it was even cheaper to get the quote on line so HE logged onto the internet for me his end and did my quote online HIMSELF – wow, how often w
      ould that happen with any other company? Ummm, try probably NEVER. Anyway John then took me very quickly through the online screens as he came across them and entered all of hubby & my details and quick as a flash gave us confirmation of my original premium - 263.00GBP. We were gobsmacked by this premium when originally quoted so to have it confirmed by someone in person was excellent! My hubby’s previous insurers wanted to charge him ....... wait for it ......... 420.00GBP – that’s a difference of 157.00GBP for heavens sake! Regarding car insurance, they have emergency helplines operating 24 hrs a day, seven days a week.  The Accident Recovery Helpline - offers a recovery service when your vehicle is undrivable following an accident.  The Windscreen Replacement Service – offers mobile windscreen, glass replacement and repair service. Priority for emergency cases with assistance normally provided in less than 90 minutes. Flexible arrangements for non-emergencies at a time to suit you as the policyholder – these glass calims have no effect on your no claim discount.  Breakdown Assistance Helpline – offers a range of breakdown cover options that can be added to your policy at any time or total flexibility with the pay-on-use facility (see website for details). They offer a FREE courtesy car supplied whilst your own is being repaired as long as you use their recommended repairer network. There is a personal claims number and all the details can be given with no claims forms to be completed and no waiting. There are optional benefits which include:- Motoring Legal Protection – With this protection all the management of the legal process of recovering uninsured losses, including personal injuries is taken care of on your behalf. Breakdown Assistance Cover – Your motoring costs canbe reduced even furthe
      r by comparing their proces to traditional costs of purchasing breakdown cover. If you are already covered then simply tell them when you would like cover to start from and they will charge you pro-rata up to your renewal. You can cover just your car or yourself in any car – its up to you. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ TO SUMMARISE They automatically approve a valid claim on the phone in minutes They will provide a FREE courtesy car All repairs are guaranteed for 5 years FREE car clean after repair They will give you an offer within 2 working days if it is deemed the vehicle is beyond economic repair Audio system stollen or damaged – Their recommended supplier will contact you and replace it within 5 days Emergency glass replacement – normally within 90 minutes – non-emergencies within 2 working days Immediate arrangement of legal help for uninsured losses if you have Motoring Legal Protection. The esure website is secure, but if you don't want to enter your personal details online, save your quote and make a note of the reference number given then give them a call on 0845 603 7873.         ******** WARNING - A FEW SWEAR WORDS (COMPLETELY NECESSARY OF COURSE, LOL) ************* I have a large organ! You really wanted to know that, didn’t you?!! Actually, I’m not bragging – we all have a large one, it’s called SKIN. Last week I celebrated my 21st Birthday (*ahem* for the 14th time) and I approached the mirror with trepidation in the belief that overnight my face would have collapsed and gone south for the duration of my remaining years on this planet! The first quick inspection revealed no dramatic changes (phew) but on closer inspection I noticed the odd laughter line (Oi! What do you mean NOTHING'S that funny??) and my pores seemed to be gaping caverns instead of tightly shut. With this stark realisation I armed my self with my purse and set out on my mission - I would not return without a bottle of the alixir of life, or at the very least a bloody good anti-wrinkle cream. On staring agog at the vast array of creams, lotions and potions it suddenly struck me that I had several hours of package reading ahead of me. I hadn’t a clue what I was really looking for – apart from something to fill the wrinkles which in my minds eye were becoming more Mars-canal-like by the minute on my frowning face (made mental note - "stop frowning as causes MORE wrinkles"). Dismayed at not having found any pollyfilla-like substances I decided to try looking for the products which were made from the most technically-sounding ingredients – Vitamin E - Pro-Vitamin B5 – panthenol – niacinamide - Vitamin B3.??????????????? BLOODY HELL, I want to slap it on my face, not live off it, for goodness sake - Tsk! Then I spotted the one for me - and the subject of my opinion ..... OIL OF OLAY (I liked the old name, Ulay, but still ......) Total Effects + VitaNiacin Intensive Overnight Treatment - and, boy, do I need intensive treatment or w
        hat! (*ahem* the antiwrinkle-cream variety NOT mental healthcare). CRASHING ON ..... PACKAGING The packaging is all dark & mysterious with the gold & white Oil of Olay product trademark – it has a blue quarter-moon NIGHT insignia and the words that clinched the sale for me ....... ..... helps reverse 7 signs of ageing (whatever they are – see below) The little outer box tells you that the bottle contains 50mls and there is a picture of the product that is within. It states that this treatment is a “Wakeup call for younger looking skin.” Still believing that my skin needed something reminiscent of a nuclear bomb to awaken it, I dubiously read on about this product’s claims. There is also a list of ingredients which I shall not bore you with but suffice to say there doesn’t seem to be anything untoward in there (or perhaps there is? I can't read or understand half of the words anyway) FIRST IMPRESSIONS I love the little dispenser – it is black and gold with an ingenious pump-action top – I think it looks a bit like a penguin – although I don’t know what my therapist would make of this comparison (teehee). With the pump action of this container you are able to administer the exact amount of cream necessary for your needs, thus eliminating waste - which at this price it needs to do! The cream is thick and white (not watery like other creams). It has a velvety texture as you apply it to the skin and it is quickly absorbed. It leaves no greasiness on the skin either. It has a lovely subtle peachy-fresh smell too. PRICE Ahhhhh! At first I assumed that for the price the pack contained a complete Kylie Minogue body cast – I was very much mistaken. This is not a cheap product, in fact it is reassuringly expensive. Olay are a tried & trusted company and the 13.98 GBP (and this was a special
        offer) it cost me was worth every penny! I have spent hundreds of GBP on various products over the years and nothing I have ever purchased has made my skin fell as good as this product does. THE TECHNICAL BIT! Until recently, alpha and beta hydroxy acids, retinol and ubiquinone were the top of the technologies in the anti-aging skin care race. That was until VitaNiacin (TM) appeared to offer a breakthrough in skin health (according to data presented to the 2000 American Academy of Dermatology). BUT WHAT IS VITANIACIN? I had asked myself this same question when I first saw the term so for the benefit of this opinion I did some research (despite the yawningly witty comments us ‘blondes’ tend to generate - I DO have a brain and I’m not afraid to use it, LOL). Here is what my research unearthed. VitaNiacin is a unique blend of Vitamin E, Pro-Vitamin B5 (panthenol) and niacinamide (Vitamin B3). Well, I think so personally but it would be impossible to prove that it either had or hadn’t made any difference, to tell the truth. - I don’t think my skin had an uneven tone before so cannot comment on this - I think my skin probably does look a little more radiant and healthy, yes. - Smoother skin texture – yes, definitely. - I would say that my pores have become more ‘ajar’ now than cavernous - I’m not quite at the age-spot stage so cannot comment on this bit.  “Dermatologically tested and proven in scientific research”  “Non-comedogenic*” - Huh?? Where
        does the comedy come into it?!! This must mean it doesn’t laugh at the amount of wrinkles you have :o) * REAL MEANING, joking aside, NOT tending to produce or aggravate acne.
