--- My Experience --- I first started using this when I had my daughter i was worried about her getting ill and the wording 'Kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses' caught my eye so I thought id give it a go as it was on offer for £1 at the time in ASDA. I used it on all sorts of things like my daughters changing mat and it worked well. I used it where i prepared food especially after cooking chicken and eggs as they can cause salmonella but tidying away and spraying a bit of dettol on the surfaces left me feeling satisfied that it was clean. I found the smell wasnt too strong and didnt smell like chemicals like other products do that contain bleach instead this was more of a clinical sterilised type smell. I liked how it could be used on a range of surfaces so it was very versatile to have for the home and when it ran out i found myself purchasing more. I left the spray on for a minute then wiped it away and it left the mat clean and smelling fresh which is probably why i was trigger happy with it leaving good results and having a young baby and the spray killing e coli and salmonella etc. It is a brilliant product and i have been using it for nearly 4yrs now and i feel ill continue to use it as it has alot of benefits and costs the same as some of the poorer surface sprays. --- Product Info & How To Use--- Dettol is an anti-bacterial surface cleanser that comes in a clear plastic bottle with a blue and red spray nozzle, it has a lime green and white label on both the front and back of the bottle clearly stating the brand and benefits to this spray. This is a highly quality product it is trusted by doctors to kill bacteria and it has the british allergy foundations seal of approval. This cleanser kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses of which are E.coli, salmonella, rotavirus, MRSA, flu virus, listeria, S.aureus, P.aerughosa. It is also proven to remove Pollen particles, dust mites and pet dander. This surface cleanser has a lot of benefits and can be found in a variety of online stores and shops. When mine runs out i now buy it for £1.29 for 500ml from my local store thats stocks all sorts so it can be found in most stores along with the superstores. This spray is brilliant as it can be used all over the home as its a gentle cleaner with no bleach, no taint and no odour on delicate surfaces but has a strong cleaning affect. It is suitable for chopping boards, fridges, high chairs, bath, kitchen sink and toilet seats. It is a clear solution that looks like water but smells like a sterilising clinical liquid. Dettol spray is safe to use where food is prepared and removes 90% of allergens. This surface spray cant be frozen or used on Windows, mirrors, fabrics, painted or varnished surfaces and you cant use it with other detergents or disinfectants. You can use it to clean baby equiptment like potties but you cant use on plastic baby bottles which can crack when steam sterilised. It needs to be stored out the way of children and if its swallowed seek immediate medical assistance. If this product comes in contact with your eyes wash straight away with plenty of water til its cleaned. To use this cleanser it is simple: Turn the nozzle to the ON position, spray directly on the surface, wipe over with a clean damp cloth and allow to dry. With this spray theres no need to rinse which makes it even easier to use. When using this product on electric equipment you need to spray it on to the cloth before wiping. The dettol company is a supporter of recycling and looking after the environment so there is a tip at the botton of the bottle stating 'minimise on paper towels or contine to use a clean reusable cloth and still get 99.9% bacteria kill.' --- Contact info --- UK address: Dettol consumer services, PO Box 4044, Slough, SL1 ONS. It is brilliant for every house hold as it has so many uses and isnt harmful to your skin like bleach.
++ My Experience ++ I saw the advert on Oral B and thought I'll have to try that but i didnt want to fork out on a product that I may not like so I went on a tester website and received a 15ml sample of the toothpaste to try out. I used the toothpaste on the evening I received it and I loved the taste and how it left my mouth feeling amazing. I found my teeth felt clean for longer and the sensitivity improved after a week of using it. The taste of the toothpaste took me back to when i was a child and my dad wouldnt let us have too much chewing gum as he worried we'd swallow it, he had chewing gums in his car and id always take one when i was little as i loved the taste. It was the clean mint flavour but in my opinion it didnt taste like mint, the only way to describe the taste of this toothpaste is to say its similar to the tutti fruity chewing gum that you get in the yellow packet. I have found using this toothpaste twice a day has really improved my breath and my gums look alot healthier. When the sample ran out I brought a new supply from boots as I collect the points it was for £2.95 for 75ml which I thought wasnt bad at all for a toothpaste that makes my mouth feel great. ++ The product ++ The antibacterial and fluoride toothpaste comes in a white, light blue and dark blue tube with the product name clearly on the front 'Oral B Pro Expert'. You can get a variety of size tubes starting from 15ml and it is available online or a variety of stores like Boots, superstores and chemist direct. The tube itself is a screw top and squeeze kind so you can get your monies worth in these hard times by squeezing every last bit out of the tube. On the front it has written all the advantages to using the product and what it can improve and maintain with in your mouth. The list is Cavities, Gums, Plaque, Sensitivity, Enamel, Tartar, Whitening and Breath and it clearly states that it provides All Round Protection and protects the areas dentists check most. On the back the ingredients are listed Glycerin, Hydrated Silica, Sodium Hexametaphosphate, Propylene Glycol, PEG-6, Aqua, Zinc Lactate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Aroma, Sodium Gluconate, Chondrus Crispus, Trisodium Phosphate, Stannous Fluoride, Sodium Saccharin, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Xanthan Gum, CI77891, Cinnamal, Silica, Sodium Fluoride, Eugenol, CI 74160, Stannous Fluoride(1100ppm Fluoride) and Sodium Fluoride(350ppm Fluoride). This toothpaste is not to be used by children under 12 years old and the best before date is written on the end of the tube. You need to recycle the product after it has been used. For complete oral care use with an Oral B toothbrush and visit your dentist regularly. If you have any problems with the product you can contact Procter and Gamble UK at Weybridge, Surrey, KT13 OXP, UK. Or call the care line on 0800 731 3086(UK) 1800 409 236 (ROI) ++ My conclusion ++ This toothpaste is worth the money and I wouldnt hesistate to recommend it to a friend. The fact you can get a free sample easily before you buy shows the confidence that the company has in its product selling to make up the cost of sending out free samples and so they should its a brilliant product and my teeth have improved so much since using Oral B Pro Expert.
++ My Experience ++ For during the colder and wetter months I stocked up on indoor activities for my daughter to do on rainy days. Along with puzzles and craft things I purchased Play Doh online at amazon for £3.97 with free delivery which I thought was a good price as for free delivery too. The four colours that we got were dark pink, high light pink, turquoise and purple. My daughter loves pink so she was over the moon with the colours. The colours are bright and the tubs are sturdy so if they are dropped on the floor they don't crack so having little hands grabbing at them that's a bonus as things always seem to hit the floor. The first use I opened just one of the tubs for her in order to not have all the colours mixed together by the end of play time and I was surprised how much play doh there was with just using the one tub. She was able to make a few different mini animals with the one tub and there was some left for me to make her a horse. It was moist and soft which for me showed the quality as some play dough as soon as you open it you can feel it flaking and that its dry. The smell of the play doh was a bit strong at first however it soon faded down it was a sweet smell as weird as that sounds that along with the texture is probably why children try to eat it! We have been using this product for the last few months and I have found its still work able for her and I feel due to the tubs lids being really sturdy and kept closed after play it hasn't dried out. The tubs stack so they are easy to store together which is good if you only have a little craft cupboard like me. And the lids are really tightly on which makes it a real challenge for a child to get off along with keeping the product moist. ++ About the Product++ Play Doh can be brought from children's shops or craft stores and online which makes it a great product to get as you can get your child a lot of different colours of high quality play doh. The price can vary but starts at around £3. There are 4 520g of play doh in the packaging and they come in a range of colours so if you want 4 specific colours you would have to search around until you come across the combination you are after. The colour of the play dough is the colour of the tubs lid and then it has a yellow container below with Play Doh written in white on a red background. The 4 tubs of play doh are encased in a brightly coloured cardboard layer that has all the product information on it and then it has a plastic film on it to keep it all together. The cardboard has examples of what you can make with your child like a cup cake or a car. The product should be used by children that are 2yrs old and above and should have child supervision when it is being used. On the back of the tubs it states that the product contains Wheat and that the product is a modelling compound and not intended to be eaten. And that colours and contents may vary from those shown. And that you should retain the packaging for future reference. To clean the product up you have to remove the excess Play doh and let the rest dry allowing you to then scrape the rest away. All the company information is written on the base on the cardboard packaging the address for the Consumer services is: Hasbro UK Ltd, PO Box 43, Newport, NP19 4YD Tel: 0080022427276 Website: www.hasbro.co.uk ++ Is Play Doh worth recommending? ++ In my opinion its so worthy of a recommendation, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to someone if they were looking for a good indoor activity to do with their child as it is well priced for what you receive and lasts a long time if the lid is kept on. A great product for a great price what more could any one with a play dough fan want!
++ My experience ++ I moved house and my new flat had carpets and furnishings already in but the first thing I thought of with having a toddler and it all being creams and biege is stain remover. Id tried afew of the cheaper brands before and they didnt really work so I thought Id try a brand recommended to me by my friend. When I was in wilkinsons I brought it for around £2.75 for 500ml spray, the exact price has slipped my mind but I know its around that mark. It seemed no sooner had I brought the stain remover I needed it there was pink stain on the carpet where my daughters ribena left its mark so I applied it as it stated it worked on dried in stains. I found as my carpet was quite a long pile i had to do a second application which removed the stain very well. I found the spray easy to use and it didnt have a harmful affect on your skin as it got on my hands as I massaged the foam into the carpet. It left my carpet smelling fresh with a lemon flowery smell and has lasted me a long time since I purchased it and I have a toddler so thats saying some thing for how long it lasts. ++ The product ++ The 1001 trouble shooter spray comes in a yellow and blue container and clearly has '1001' in yellow with a blue background. It clearly states Stain remover for carpets and upholstery attacks stains and dirt fast. On the back there is a description on what the product is used for and the ease in how the product works with out the need to vacuum. ++ How to use ++ Always test a hidden area for colour fastness before use. The spray is easy to use and the instructions are clearly laid out. It states you simply: Turn the nozzle to 'On', spray the foam directly on the area and avoid making the stained area too wet. Then massage the foam into the stained area from the outside working inwards with a damp colourfast cloth or sponge. Then blot any excess liquid with a dry cloth or kitchen towel and vacuum the treated area again when it has dried. When using the spray for liquid spills simply blot the area with a kitchen towel or dry cloth to soak up any excess then use the above steps. Solid residues you need to scrape up any excess with a blunt knife then proceed with the stain remover and dry stains vacuum the affected area in order to remove any flakes before using the spray. ++ What its not for ++ The trouble shooter spray can be used for all sorts of fabrics and carpet but if the carpet colour has been affected then its not to be used along with on velvet type materials, brocade, rayon and any that are unsuitable for wet cleaning. ++ Would I recommend this product ++ Yes I would, I have found the product lasts a long time and leaves the carpet or fabric conditioned and clean. In my opinion because the spray turns to a foam that is massaged in it lasts longer as not too much spray is needed to perform the job as it expands to foam. For the cost and the quality of the product it gives fantastic results, leaves your carpet smelling fresh and doesnt break the bank which is what you need in a stain remover.
++ My experience with the product ++ My daughter is at an age where shes fussy with what she eats and although I do my best to give her a variety of foods in her diet I worry shes not getting enough vitamins. So while I was at the chemist I enquired which vitamin brand was recommended and I got shown Haliborange. I could of brought them in the chemist but I always love to hunt down a bargain as the chemist is only a walk away so I knew I could go back if I couldnt find them cheaper so when I got home I searched online and found on the seven seas website they stocked Haliborange products. I liked how you could get a range in number of capsules starting at 30capsules and going gradually up. I purchased 90 capsules for £9.86 and as I wanted a few other things at the checkout I qualified for the deal they had which was get fast free delivery when spending over £40. My order arrived quickly which was great with it being free. The initial response I got when I gave one to my daughter was thank you mummy as she thought it was a sweet. The capsule is very thick and bursts if you bite down on it, releasing all the fruit but once the centre had been burst she didnt like the thick case of the capsule so she put it in the bin. The capsules can be taken by adults as well I was going to swallow mine straight down with water but the container states chewable fruit burst capsules so I thought Id give it a go to see what it was like when my daughter did that. In my opinion it had a nice sweet taste while sucking the capsule but once the juice had been released it was a sharp but sweet taste of orange that died down quickly leaving the oily rubber like capsule left to consume. My daughter likes taking them although the capsule itself gets thrown away which I don't mind too much as the centre is the part that contains all the nutrients. The capsules are quite large(1.5cm x 1cm)so she doesnt like the idea of swallowing it with liquid so I'm just glad she likes it in her mouth until after shes had the orange centre. I've only been using these capsules a few days but with the nature of the product its hard to see a difference in whether they are doing what is stated as my daughter has always concentrated well during activities and things. ++ About the product ++ The packaging is very attractive its a bright orange and yellow box which catches your eye and the O in Haliborange is large with a sun drawn behind it with the rays of sunshine coming out wards. There are a pile of books and a computer mouse drawn on to illustrate tasks that higher levels of concentration can be put to use on. If ever a packaging was going to say healthy and full of goodness this packaging does. The container has 30 capsules in that are golden brown in colour and are 1.5cm long by 1cm wide and they contain sweetners along with the Omega-3 and vitamins A,C,D and E 30. Nutrition information per 2 capsules: Fish Oil 400mg Nutrients 260g Vitamin A 400g Vitamin D 5g Vitamin E 3g Vitamin C 60g ++ What is it for ++ The Haliborange vitamins A, C, D and E along with Omega-3 nutrients and DHA fatty acid which provided its taken along side a varied diet and healthy lifestyle it can go towards healthy growth and development and general good health and wellbeing. ++ Who can take it and how ++ Children over 3years old take two capsules a day on there own without food. Adults can also take these capsules and have 2 capsules a day. Chew the soft capsules to burst the fruit flavour centre. If the recommended intake is exceeded it can produce a laxative effect so don't exceed two a day. If a woman is pregnant or planning a pregnancy they should consult their doctor before taking vitamin and mineral supplements. ++ Storage ++ Haliborange capsules need to have the lid replaced securely and be stored below 25c in a cool dry place. Keep out the reach of young children and for the best before date just check the back of the label on the container. ++ Would i recommend these ++ No I wouldn't these capsules because in my opinion although you can give yourself or your child all the benefits of Omega-3 fish oil and vitamins in a bursting capsule that they may love its quite expensive as it works out about 11p a capsule and if your childs throwing it away after the juice escapes there goes your money with it. I do think a smaller capsule would of been easier for children to swallow and a thinner coat would of made it faster to melt making it go down easy with the juice. I will be using what I brought then trying another brand in the future.
++ My Experience with the product ++ When I was expecting my daughter I was brought this as a present from a dear friend as it was the last thing on my list to buy and she wanted to get me something that would help me and baby. She gave me the receipt incase I had brought other bottles because she was unsure if you could use other bottles other than Avent and didn't know which ones I'd purchased. You can use other brand bottles that are the same size as the Avent ones so it wasn't taken back as I had small Avent ones and large ones (330ml) for when she needed them. It was purchased for £29.99 but can be brought a lot cheaper now such as £11.99 (down from £24) with free delivery on Amazon. It can be brought from a range of online stores or stores such as Boots and argos. I read the instructions which were short and easy to follow this was great as I didn't feel too worried about doing it wrong as with sterilisation being a big thing and me being a new mum I had enough uncontrollable worry as it was. With the steriliser using steam to sterilise the feeding equitment it gives great protection and not the worry as no chemicals are used. Using the steriliser took 10minutes in total pretty much as I'd rinse the milk from the bottles place them in the rack along with the teats and screw on caps, pour in the water, fasten the clips and set it away. The steriliser is fast if the bigger pictures taken in to account as once the bottles are sterilised they are sterile for up to 24hours if the lid is kept on the product. There are clips on the side which are quite cool to hold after being in the microwave and stop the hot water escaping and burning you. Even though you have to leave it in the microwave two minutes to cool before removing the steriliser its still quite tricky getting the steriliser out as there wasnt much room either side of the product and the microwave so its fiddly pulling it out as its still hot. But apart from that its fantastic as you place it on the side to cool and when you want to prepare a bottle just use the tongs to remove the sterilised bottle teat and screw on top and replace the lid. I would go stay at my Dads some times and it was great as its compact but lightweight so I could put all but two bottles in the steriliser and head over to his house knowing that I was prepared incase we decided to stay longer. The product fits into the microwave very snuggly and I would say to measure the product against your microwave before purchasing. As she moved on to the larger bottles I found that you could only get three in which wasn't too bad as it didn't take a great deal of time to do the process. As you can sterilise other products such as 2 breast pumps and sippy cups in my opinion it would be great for a mum of a toddler and a new born baby as its quick, easy and you could sterilise the toddlers cups along with the babies feeding set in only two washes so about 20minutes total. ++ Whats in the box ++ The microwave steriliser, water measuring jug, tongs and 1 extra durable feeding bottle and instructions. ++ The product ++ Its mainly white and baby blue and of a thick heat resistant plastic which is easily wiped down and cleaned. ++ How to use the steriliser ++ On the first use of the product you have to run an empty cycle which is done by placing water in and refer to the instructions on the length of time to set the microwave to. Before placing your preferred feeding equitment in to the steriliser rinse it in warm soapy water and leave to drain. Then remove the rack, place all the bottles or alternative equitment into the steriliser rack in the allocated holes then add 200ml water into the base, replace the rack back in to the steriliser, clip the lid on until you hear the click and thats it ready to be sterilised in the centre of the microwave. The same process is performed for all the types of feeding equitment the only variation is the positioning of the bottles etc within the steriliser. The length of time needed for your watt microave should be read up on in the instruction manual but a rough time guide is- Two minutes at 1100-1850 Watt Four minutes at 850-1000 Watt Six minutes at 500-850 Watt Once the sterilsation process is complete leave the product in microwave for 2minutes to cool and then remove it from the microwave but dont place it on any counters that are not heat resistant or it will leave a ring. Its very convinient as once all the bottles have been used no hassle of unplugging it just empty the used water in to the sink and wash away any milk residue and thats it ready to start the process again. Its a quick process to get the hang of and makes it easier and less stressful to keep your baby protected during feeding until their immune system is built up. ++ My final word on the product ++ This steriliser is simple, efficient and not too expensive which is great for any mum or dad as it leaves you with some money left over to treat your little bundle kmlof joy and you can rest easy knowing your childs being protected from nasty mik bacteria. I would recommend this to any one looking for a fantastic steriliser that doesnt cost the earth and in fact I've just told my friend who's a mum-to-be. Its cheap, widely available to purchase, straight forward to use, portable, large sterilising capacity and doesnt take up much room in the kitchen its a brilliant purchase Im so glad my lovely friend brought it for me.
~~My use of the product~~ My lips seem to be so sensitive to the cold and get chapped and sore so easily and a few months ago when we had the sudden snow cove my lips right on cue went dry and sore within a day. I went down to my local Boots store and after browsing the shelves I wanted to give this lip balm a try. I got it for £1.67 for 4.8g container which I didn't think was too bad as they had buy two get a third one free so I purchased some other items from the lip care shelf. I applied it pretty much immediately after purchasing and it took a few applications but within a matter of hours my lips were smooth and moisturised, it made them look really healthy. The moist feeling lasts a long time and doesn't fade within a few minutes of application and I feel the size of the tube will last me quite a long time as the moisture seems to stay on my lips for a good length of time after so requires less applications. Nivea lip balm has a nice smell and doesn't taste awful if you accidentally lick your lips which is great, it feels light and doesn't coat your lips leaving them feeling greasy or a bit sticky the lip balm feels like its absorb from the moment you put it on. I've even applied a bit to my daughters lips when they have been sore and it has rescued her lips after a few hours also. ~~The product~~ Nivea Lip Balm comes in a dark blue stick with white writing for the brand name on the front and information such as weight and website details. The product can be purchased online or in a lot of shops such as super drug and boots. It is 4.8g in weight. The product packaging explains the product provides the daily care that lips need to keep them smooth and soft every day and by using the product it results in smooth, soft and healthy looking lips, its preservative free and is skin compatibility dermatologically approved. ~~Would I recommend Nivea Lip Balm~~ Yes I have no doubt that I will recommend this to any one looking for a great lip balm because the quality for the price is very reasonable considering how long it can last and the results after applying it are super. I would say that look out for the bargains when buying this product like buy 2 get a third free at boots because although it lasts a long time its still best to save some money buying in bulk and stock up as it can be kept for 12months until it should be thrown away.
~~My experience~~ After having my daughter I wanted a product that firm, toned and soothed stressed skin. I didnt know what to expect when buying this as I normally go on recommendations especially when this product was quite highly priced at £4.85 in Boots. I read the back and applied the butter, the smell is lovely and my skin felt moisturised immediately. I have used this product a long time and I haven't really noticed any toning happening but it is great at fading stretch marks and leaving my skin really soft. I am my own worst critic so maybe there has been a little bit of toning as i have been getting compliments on how nice my skin looks. The 400ml bottle lasted me afew months (I only use it on thighs, tummy and bust as apposed to my whole body) which is good value for money and it can only be used for 12months before its out of date so I didnt have to throw any unused butter away. ~~The Product~~ The butter is in a white container with a push down opening. There is an orange palmers logo on the front along with what the product contains, made with shea butter, collagen, elastin and vitamin E. Also it says it tightens skin and is for use after pregnancy and weight loss. Contains Co enzyme Q10 which is an antioxidant that helps smooth and revitalize the skin. The unique combination of cocoa butter, collagen, elastin and shea butter helps improve elasticity and texture. In addition ginseng and vitamin e help soften and relieve stressed skin. You can purchase this product from online or in body care, boots and other skin care shops. It is £1.54 per 100ml and £4.85 in total for the 400ml bottle. Directions: Massage all over the body twice daily - especially on thighs, legs, stomach and bust. Helps smooth and improve the appearance of stretch marks too. ~~Final Word~~ A brilliant product it smells lovely and goes a long way. Although I havent seen much firming which the product is meant to be for, I would still recommend it as it really has helped my skin since being pregnant and all the stretching it went through.
~~My experience using the website~~ I hadn't really used ebay much until afew years ago when I got my laptop but now that I have I am a huge fan. I use it to buy and sell it has everything from cars to hair spray. I have recently started selling on it, it has been a great experience in how straight forward it is and with how popular the website is you can have a real bidding war over your items which is brilliant to watch the price your getting go up. A standard seller listing can be as cheap as £1.38 to put on but it can be more expensive if you add different fonts and more than one image. I do wait until they have no insertion fees on some weekends and then I put my items up for sale because the insertion fee soon adds up if you sell alot of things regularly. When you sell an item you give 10% of the sale price (if bid ended under £100) and abit bigger percentage as the money goes to larger amounts. ~~The website~~ The website is bright and stylish with an easy to navigate layout. It sells a whole range of products so you can pretty much do all your shopping on the same website. It only takes afew minutes to register your details then your away. The main search bar is located on the left at the top of the web page allowing easy search of the many categories. When you've found the item you like you can add it to your 'Watch List' this is to keep an eye on it so you can keep your bid the highest. Another option is adding the item to your 'Wish List' which can be made public and allows friends or family to buy the items in that list for a surprise for example a nice birthday present. You can search the items and sort by ending soonest allowing you to see if there are any bargains that you can snap up before the bidding time runs out. Bidding is simple it states the current bid in bold so you know how much its going for at that time and it has what the next bid will need to be to beat the current bid which makes it straightforward to get the item to be your own. ~~Overall~~ Im a huge fan of the website and will always search on there first if im looking for something as there are some real bargains to be found on ebay. Id recommend waiting for insertion fee free weekends if you are planning on selling alot of items and if your planning on buying afew try to see if the same seller has the items your looking for to cut down on delivery costs as some offer multi buy discount on delivery.
~~My Experience~~ I normally use my trusty razor as Id never dared try waxing as it was painful enough at the salon and thats by a professional and I didnt think I could pull that strip away knowing that pain was to come. And as I live alone sadly only I could pull it off. I was browsing the aisles at Boots and saw Veet 20 wax strips for £6.50 which I thought Id try out and put the claim of 'Up to 4weeks of smoothness, easier to use and better than ever' the test. I did a skin reaction test and the next evening everything was ok so I went for it. I read the manual thoroughly getting all the advice I could on how to achieve the best results and madly hoping there was a subtitle - how to make your waxing pain free. I placed the strip on and pulled it the opposite direction of hair growth, it hurt so bad, to my amazement I was able to do a leg and a half before giving up and resorting to my razor to do the rest. My legs were really smooth but red, sore/itchy and sticky. The redness died down after a night but it was about 2days until it was completely normal again. The little perfect finish wipes that come with the strips were great but you do have to put some elbow work in to get the wax off. And I feel only having four strips wasnt good as alot of wax got left on and four wasnt really enough. On the box it says up to four weeks of smoothness and effective on short hair which for me it only last about 2 and a half weeks. You can do all areas apart from your face with these strips but I would of found it very tricky and messy doing my bikini line as my legs are easier and that left my legs covered in patches of wax and stubborn hairs let alone a hard to get to area. I found I spent more time cleaning the stickiness/wax off than the length of time I was able to keep pulling off the strips. I know waxing is never without pain but I do find having someone else do it is the only way I can get it done. I find the heated wax that is used at my salon gets a better result for my legs so I will be using my razor and paying to get them waxed if Im going out somewhere big. In my opinion I think the price of the wax strips at £6.50 for 20 or £9 for 40 is abit steep as the only thing really worth the money is the little perfect finish wipes as they live up to the name and sooth your skin really well apart from that I think the cheaper wax strips would give the same result along side a good wipe like Veet provides. Id rather pay £20 and get full leg and bikini line off my friend where I know its going to be completely smooth and not little patches of hair remaining. Heated wax is the way to go for me. But as its pricey even though better results Ill stick to my razor. ~~About the product~~ There are a range of Veet products such as facial wax strips, sensitive skin wax strips and hair removal creams. The product can be purchased online and in afew stores for example Tescos and Boots. The price of the strips can vary as there are sometimes special offers but the standard price even with an offer is about £5 for 20. There are 4 perfect finish wipes which depending on your type of wax strip can have aloe vera or shea butter and berry to sooth the skin. Any one wishing to test how brave they are, id recommend looking around online and instores for offers on the product as if like me you cant see it through its quite alot of money to put towards a purchase where pain is an unavoidable outcome. Box states: Long lasting results- enjoy smooth skin for up to 4weeks Effective on short hair Easier better than ever - this formula removes hair even if your technique is not perfect Care for your skin type - the perfect finish wipes contain skin protective ingredients It does have a large number of instructions when using this product with precautions and tips. For example before every use test your skin reaction by applying the wax and a wipe to a small part of the area you wish to treat. ~~Over all~~ In my opinion the wax strips would be good value for money if I got the results it stated on the box however I didnt and I wasnt hair free for four weeks. So I feel this is a good quality product but for me the price is abit high for how many wax strips you get because how frequently you have to wax/shave it would cost alot by the end of the year. I would not recommend these wax strips as Im not a waxer as Im not brave enough to keep pulling the strips and found it messy and expensive for the result of getting a red sore legs with patch work hairs left.
~~My experience with the product~~ From a young age I loved a boiled egg with soldiers for breakfast and I wanted to make some for my daughter but I could only ever make them too soft or hard boiled not medium the way I liked them. While out shopping I went in £stretcher with my friend and stumbled across this egg timer. It looked abit basic but for a pound I was willing to give it a try in the hope that it did what it says on the packaging 'Perfect eggs every time'. The next morning I opened the backing card and plastic covering to reveal the highlight red egg. I placed it in the pan with the eggs, watched and waited. When the bubbles appeared the red egg began to turn white round the outer edges to represent how cooked each egg was. The white edge grew wide very fast and before I knew it, it was indicating the eggs were soft. When breaking into the eggs they were soft but abit too soft for me so we had weetabix instead. I tried it again a week later because they were too soft last time I waited until it indicated they were medium boiled and the eggs were perfect for me. And my daughter is now a lover of boiled eggs with soldiers. In my opinion you do have to watch this product as it can be difficult to see when the eggs are done to the way you like them with the bubbles covering the egg and it surprised me how fast the 2minutes seemed to go when you could see how the eggs were being cooked. The simplicity of this product is great and it takes the stress out of what should be an easy task to begin with. The price is great and with how reliable the product is each time its excellent value for money. Although there are a large number of other egg timers out there I wouldn't change to a different one. ~~About the product~~ A red egg shaped timer with the description of how the egg will be printed on the face of it. The bottom of it is flat for sitting in the pan to absorb the heat to calculate how cooked the egg is. It easily fits in my small pan with 4other eggs which is great as it doesnt take up much room with being around the size of an actual chickens egg and can tell you how more than one egg is cooked. Hard - Medium - Soft which go from the centre with Hard being written followed by medium further to the outside then soft on the edge of the egg representation. Once it has been used it will be completely white and will take about an hour to return to red on its own but to speed that up place in cold water or the fridge. I brought mine in £Stretcher but there are many stores that sell this product at £1 such as Pound land and Wilkinsons. The egg timer is also available online so it is easy to get hold of and replace if it gets misplaced. ~~Downsides to the product~~ Ive found the egg face can start to glaze over which makes it hard to see the writing on the front and as a result you end up with hard boiled eggs. Aswell as this happening when your using it the boiling water bubbles can make it very hard to see the egg face so you end up with hard boiled eggs if your not careful but to combat this just take the pan off the heat if it becomes to unclear that you cant see the writing at all. ~~Overall~~ I believe this product is great value for money and I purchased another one when my Dad asked if he could try it out and I never got it back. i wouldn't be without one now that ive used one. I wish Id got this product sooner instead of wasting all the eggs through trial and error in learning how to make that perfect boiled egg!
==Reasons for buying== I love pasta dishes, its so quick and simple to make and is delicious hot or cold. I buy the superstores owned brand mainly as I am on a tight budget however this sauce was on offer for a 500g jar for £1 so I thought Id give it a go. I live on my own with my daughter so for just us two the jar is quite large and I use it in two halves so its quite good getting two meals each out of the one jar. It is quite healthy and delicious, it has some small bits of tomato in the sauce and is abit tangy. A meal I like to make with this sauce is adding mixed veg and a sprinkle of cheese on the top makes a filling, delicious and cheap meal. With having a toddler who likes to paint my kitchen at meal times I've found it can stain clothing if its not rinsed off thoroughly. ==About the product== This sauce is available at all major superstores; Tescos for £1.99, Ocado £2.05 or any 2 for £3.50, Waitrose £2.05 or any 2 for £3.50 and Sainsburys 99p. Ingredients: Tomatoes (66%), Fresh Cream (5%), Lemon Juice, Onions, Sunflower Oil (3%), Tomato Puree (3%), White Wine, Butteroil Powder (Butteroil, Glucose Syrup, Lactose, Milk Protein), Sugar, Modified Maize Starch, Salt, Cheese (Parmesan) (1%), Basil, White Wine Vinegar, Bouillon (Celery), Spices, Herbs. No artificial colours, flavours & preservatives Allergies information: Contains Celery, Lactose & Milk Proteins ==Conclusion== I would certainly buy this sauce again in the future but I will wait until its on offer because more than £1 for a pasta sauce is abit too costly for me even though its lovely.
==Personal Account== I had a baby in 2008 and I'm not the most motivated person out there as well as exercise Id been on every diet going and was still larger than I wanted to be. I brought the white wii console and board plus wii fit and sports game for £80 with £10 delivery as the size and weight of the board boosted the cost for the seller. I was hoping it was worth the money as the seller didn't do refunds. It was easy to set up and didn't have cables lying all over the place. When you first use it you are asked to build a profile of yourself and enter a password to ensure your personal data is secure. I found the games a lot of fun and my daughter enjoys watching me play on one game in particular where you have to use the balance board to shift your weight from side to side to get the penguin to slide back and forth on the ice burg to eat as many fish as you can. That's just one of the many games that are on the wii fit, there is also yoga exercises, aerobic and balance games. I started off with a BMI of 33 and its now 29, I have only used it twice-three times a week 40minutes each time along side walking three times a week for an hour and its reduced my weight considerably in a matter of months. With being a single parent I'm in almost every night so having the wii means I can play on it to pass the time and work towards beating my personal bests on the games while toning up and keeping fit. I love that I can do it at a time that's convenient for me and in the comfort of my own home. Being able to weigh yourself allows you to easily keep track of your progress and there's a little guidance tool in the form of a wii board that helps you set personal weight loss targets and gives you weight loss tips amongst other things. I enjoy doing the walking challenge while watching TV as you can have the Wii on the AV channel while you got a programme on and still do the exercise while watching your favourite film for example. The great thing about the wii is that it can be multiplayer and the whole family can keep fit and spend quality time together without realising how beneficial it is towards your health/fitness as its so much fun. I am so glad I purchased this console it changed my life, with how fun the games are I didn't need a lot of motivation to go on it and seeing how much weight I lost I'm still a keen wii gamer. ==Product Information== In a standard wii package you get the wii console, a controller, a nun chuck, scar lead to attach the wii to the TV and controller signal sensor that goes on to the TV. You can get the wii in red, white or black. There are a range of games for the wii and some can be used with/without the balance board. They start from £100 upwards brand new but you can get some brilliant bargains second hand offline or in stores. ==Advantages== Easily set up so you can play it in a short period of time if your keen to try out your purchase and get fit ASAP. It comes with a variety of games to suit a range of peoples likes and dislikes no matter what age group. No need to keep a track of your weight loss as all the information is stored on your profile such as BMI, a weight loss chart showing your weight changes through out using it and since the last time you weighed yourself. No need to read the manual on using the wii fit game as there's a little wii board icon that guides you through each aspect and gives you tutorials on whatever you want. Built in weighing machine in the balance board so no need for home weighing scales. For me it has the advantage over other consoles as you are up on your feet and more a part of the game so it makes it a fun interactive experience for all that play. Easily stored on the TV unit as its smaller than a DVD player. ==Disadvantages== There's not many disadvantages to this console the only thing is the controller signal sensor is a bit tricky to attach to the TV as it has sticky pads on the bottom of it to attach to the top of the TV to track the signal to use the wireless feature of the controller and I've found it falls off a lot as my TVs quite thin. And its frustrating as its not something you can simply work over its required in order to play the games so I've had to cello tape it to the top as that's the only way to attach it. In my opinion its such a shame as this really is an amazing console, I've loved using it and its done wonders for my weight. The board is quite large(55cm long by 33cmwide) so it may have to be kept in a cupboard while not in use to ensure it doesn't get broken. ==Summary== A fabulous console that's easy to set up and great fun for individuals, families or groups and there's some great deals on wii packages so for a one off payment you can have endless fun with people close to you while all keeping fit together!
My daughter didnt have any hair for such a long time but when it appeared it grew so quickly and she gets awful bed hair so this was a life saver for me. The price isnt too bad as for an ordinary hair brush it will cost about £5.50 so this one being priced at £5.98 (including shipping if you buy offline) its a good deal as this one glides through tangled hair and leaves it feeling great. I got mine from ebay for £3.99 plus £1.50 standard delivery. I do it quite gently which can take time but it leaves her hair soft and smooth. It has widely spaced teeth which I think would mean it can be used on all different hair types.I use it for myself aswell so that way I really get my moneys worth as I didnt have to buy myself a new brush when the handle snapped off my old one. I paid what i thought was a bargain price for my old comb and it turned out to be poor quality and didnt last long, in this case im glad i spent abit extra to get this comb as tresemme have excelled. I use it to put leave in hair conditioner on as the wide spaced teeth mean it can be used on wet or dry hair. Ive found it distributes the conditioner evenly through my hair which is fantastic so I dont miss loads of hair. To summarise its slightly more costly than other combs but is well made good quality comb that does a fantastic job of detangling both our hair whether wet or dry.
When I had my daughter I was always worrying that she was too hot/too cold so Id have a stock of medical supplies at hand just incase I needed them and Calpol was amongst them. I chose Calpol as its been around a long time and is well established in the market which is a sign it does a good job as people continue to buy it so I put it to the test. Theres a range of Calpol products from sachets to calpol for babies to older children so it can suit families with children of different age ranges as it saves buying afew different bottles for the age groups. I got the 2+months 200ml strawberry flavour one for £3.70 which I feel was good for the money as it lasts a long time. It is available in pharmacys and superstores so stocking up if it runs out is easy. It states that its to be used to relieve pain and fever. The bottle has a push down and turn lid so makes it child proof which is good for children that get a taste for it and think its a liquid form sweet of some sort. On the back it has a table stating the Age against the dose to give which makes it clear and easy to understand. It says sugar free but it is a sticky medicine so the bottle needs to be wiped after used to ensure not to make a mess everywhere. Some medicines can taste foul and it makes administering medicine a nightmare and when your childs unwell they will be in a foul mood anyway so it can escalate the situation trying to get them to have something they really dont like. I will be trying out the sachets as I think these would be great if going away as you can put afew in the suitcase and be prepared where as with the bottle its larger and not disposable so could get your suitcase very sticky. The conclusion to this is that my daughter loved it which means when shes grumpy and working against me shes still willing to take her medicine which gets her back to being her happy little self in no time at all as its fast acting so I am a loyal calpol buyer and would recommend this to any of my friends as it takes affect quickly, is worth every penny as it lasts a long time and the flavour is a hit for my daughter.
