Without a doubt in my mind, Jessica nail varnish is something of quality. A lot of well respected salons use it and for that this says that it is a good product. However, I do have my qualms with this product.
But first and foremost, the positives. The product comes in a lot of different colours and in this respect you are spoilt for choice. Also compared to other market leaders Jessica nail polish is considerably cheap. The nail polish also stays on for long periods of time which also makes it value for money.
However, I have a lot of problems with the product. Personally, I do a bottom clear coat then two coats of Jessica Nail Varnish, which begs the question whether it really is value for money if you have to apply a lot. The nail varnish bubbles a little (for someone who likes to keep their nails looking pristine this really bugs me) and even after four hours of having the nail polish on there was still some marks on the polish.
All in all, I do like the product but there are some major faults in it which really do cheapen the quality of what would be a really great nail varnish.
It's taken me a while to find nail polishes which are of high quality. You spend ages trying to find one or two brands which will stay on your nails for a long time and then suddenly I came across OPI.
On recommendation of my mum I bought the OPI colour 'Rosy Future'. Now I applied two standard coats and it stayed on my nails (without chipping) for a goof week and a half. I do a lot of manual work so when it lasted this long I couldn't honestly believe it. You really do pay for quality with OPI. The colours you can pick from a re also stunning as there are just so many colours to choose from. I will always recommend to by the limited edition ones as the colours are spectacular and you don't know if you will ever see them again.
A few flaws though, if you don't apply a second coat it won't stay on as long, the same with if you don't apply a clear basecoat either. With solid colours you also have to apply two otherwise the polish will look streaky. It is also pretty expensive so I will only ever buy OPI nail polishes when on offer on tv shopping channels or with vouchers. However if you want to splurge and give yourself a nice mini manicure, this is just for you.
A farming game? Are you serious? Yes I am. And before you turn your nose up this is genuinely something special, it really is fun to play this.
I played this game a lot when I was younger. You play as yourself (a male version if you're a girl) and you inherit a farm in Mineral town. And that's the plot. You can do what you want with the farm, you can do whatever you want. You can grow crops, get animals; whatever you want to do. This is what the makes the game so special as you get to do what you want to do. You can even get married.
The controls are simple to use, therefore it makes for a good game for children under ten. If you're any older however this game is absolutely fine to play with as well as everyone needs a little bit of chillout time and this could be it for you.
The glitches however annoy me, they have stopped me from saving a couple of times. And sometimes the game has been deleted for no apparent reason which really does make me upset because you invest a lot into these games. So yeah, and also because the game is so simple you can easily get bored at times.
But all in all, it's such a cute and enjoyable game, you really can't complain.
So are you at that stage where you want a half decent android phone for a cheap price? Do you want something a little more powerful than the Galaxy Ace? I reckon this could be the phone for you.
I've had this phone since March, and as someone who uses a lot of apps and is basically by their phone the whole time this is certainly a really good product. I use social media (twitter, facebook) a lot and the occasional game like Temple Run and it can handle a lot of tasks fairly well. I'm not going to say it's perfect performance wise because to be honest, it has crashed about five times.
Think of it this way though, it isn't as beastly as the Galaxy S2 so we should really note that it can't deal with too many things at once. The phone itself is pretty rugged as I've dropped it a lot and it's doing fine. It's also a nice size, not too big or small which makes for reading things pretty useful.
Another little downside I'd say though is that it's very hard to find them anywhere. If you can and you do want a budget android phone this little piece of kit is fairly good, and for the average phone user you'll really grow to love it.
Now then, raise your hand if you remember the first DS launch games. No? Well this was one of them and boy, am I so glad they did release this game.
Ashley has just had her birthday when she goes to Edward Island in search of her father and along the way meets a ghost boy named D who becomes her companion. Sounds a little cliche? To be honest this plot is a little but I can't really fault it at the same time. I don't want to go into too much detail but the plot is intriguing. I would also recommend doing everything as thoroughly as possible because if you don't, then you could in fact get a 'bad ending' (which caused me to have to complete the game SIX TIMES to get the best ending).
The controls are simple to use, bare in mind this game doubles as a how-to of DS controls since it was one of the launch games. Also since the plot is complicated I would recommend buying this game for a teenager or older. One little annoyance is that the game could be so much more longer! There is so much plot potential here and so many thing could be expanded upon (Her father and mother in particular. And the character of Bill and the Edward family). I can also be really annoying and say the graphics can look a little bit iffy during gameplay but the cut scenes are great. The game can look really beautiful.
All in all, it is a good game but there could be so many little things to be improved upon.
I guess I'm very lucky that I've been using this product for a while because it's taken a little while for the full effects of the Cleanse and Polish to actually work. However, I am more than happy with the results.
The product's consistency isn't too greasy or hard, it's really pleasant to apply. It's hard to explain but applying it is really nice, it smells really good too (which is such an added bonus as to be honest, who hasn't ever used a product which absolutely reeks to high heavens?). The product also comes off easily with the use of the muslin cloth (if you buy it as a set with it included) and hot water.
With my skin, I guess I have combination oily-dry. It certainly has improved the oily nature and has calmed it down a whole lot. I also use this product as an effective make-up remover - is works as this too!
Overall, I would easily recommend this product.
What can I say, this perfume really does leave me speechless. I am not a fan of perfumes which smell obviously synthetic and of strong chemical-esque smells, so for this to be of something natural is refreshing.
I really like this product. It is a genuinely refreshing perfume and I can't recommend it enough in this respect. It's fragrant and can be worn for any occasion, whether going out on the town or just for day to day use. It does smell fresh, it smells fragrant and is really nice. What can I say? It smells soft and comforting and isn't overpowering in any way. It does smell of cherry blossom, I'll put it that way. It has a distinctly soft and feminine scent which lasts for a long time too. For me personally it is something which I would wear because of the natural element to it but it's all down to personal taste.
The bottle is simplistic and pretty too which gives you the impression that it's more natural. That's why I love this product a lot because it is so simple yet so brilliant. It would make a good present for a wife or daughter at Christmas or even for a birthday as it is a genuinely nice thing to receive for any woman.
I think then we can gather that this product is really nice. But if you get a chance - test it in a shop!
Okay, so this little watch really is a good present to buy for yourself or for someone else. The Ice Watch is now a globally well known brand now and is still as stylish as what it was when it first came out.
Style wise it's hard to fault the ice watch. It's available in a lot of colours which can suit anyone with any taste, it's watch face isn't oversized in the slightest and it easily stand out from any competitors or lookalike brands. It therefore gives you the chance to pick what you want and to chose a colour to suit your style.
It is well made; it'd take a lot to break the strap from the watch-face. The gel strap make it very comfy to wear all of the time so this is an added bonus. I wear this during manual labour and literally I am quite surprised I haven't destroyed the watch face or the product itself. No, it lasts for a while and is still in pretty good nick.
I would say that the watch is reliable, but with mine unfortunately one day it did stop completely (for no reason whatsoever) and had to be sent off to Ice to get fixed. It wasn't until 3 weeks later that I got a replacement which feels strange in comparison to my old one. The old watches are less stiff and the new ones are more harder but still are comfy.
All in all Ice watches are still in and are a nice piece of jewellery. If you want to buy this for a fashion conscious person this Christmas you really can't go wrong with the Ice Watch.
If you haven't ever worn - or heard - of Vans, then now's a good time to state that these have always been designed as skater shoes. Now don't let this put you off as really, it makes them one of the most stylish and comfy shoes around.
The quality of the lace-up Vans are really nice, you can tell that after a lot of wearing they won't fall apart. I've owned my pair for two years and they might be a little scuffed but they are holding strong after a lot of usage!
Vans being vans, there are also a lot of different colours and styles to chose from which is really nice. It gives you more choice than just the green colour shown in the picture and then it makes chosing them to go with an outfit really easy. They include normal plain colours or ones with a printed design (mine have a printed design).
Also I've found that even though mine have a print pattern (small pink flowers) even that has stayed on and not faded as the colour is still quite a vibrant pink. The base colour of black has also stayed throughout the various times I've worn them in torrential rain! Again, this is a serious sign of quality.
Saying that, the dye has leaked onto the white laces (and socks) before but this was only because of rain and the fact I was wearing white socks. But in the end these are a very good pair of shoes and if mine ever do fall apart, I'd buy a new one in a second.
So it's been a couple of years since this little mp3 hit the shelves. And now what can I say? I still value it a lot. Yes technology has moved on but really, if you're looking to buy a cheap mp3 as a Christmas present then this could be for you.
It's small, and this can be a good or a bad thing. Small makes it so much easier to listen on the go, but at the same time how can you watch things on it? I don't think using this mp3 for videos is a good ideas to be honest but this is only a minor flaw. If you're commuting and don't want to take a very expensive mp3 player with you you can fit a good sizeable chunk of your music library on here. You can do a lot with 8gb if you use it wisely.
I've had no functioning problems (like it freezing etc), and I've had this for four years. The sound quality and playback is pretty good (but not as good as the latest Sony Walkman models) and that pretty much covers it. It's simple to use, and is a good old fashioned mp3 which is effective in what it needs to do. Sometimes simple is better, and maybe this would be a good product for a child around 10 years old or even someone who is new to technology
So if you want to buy someone an mp3 for Christmas (young or old) and are on a budget, this seriously could be what you're looking for.
Okay, so spending a lot of money on lip balm does seem extravagant. But to be perfectly honest if you're buying L'Occitane you can easily justify spending money because the product is always good quality. Right?
I used this product for just a day and in that time I could easily tell my lips were improving from dry into something softer. It took my lips three days to completely recover after only using just a small amount on to my lips. It does last a long time too if you're frugal with it! But you don't need to use a lot anyway, that's the beauty of this product.
The only thing I can fault this on is that if you squeeze the tube too much you will waste a lot of the product. You just have to be careful when using it I guess. But perhaps a tube wasn't the best idea to put it in!
But I really can't fault the balm itself - it really does work!
AKG isn't a well known brand. I was very skeptical when I received them for Christmas but even a quick listen in a small busy shop changed a few perceptions surrounding them. They are not too bad at blocking out background noise in busy surroundings so I thought why not give the heads up for receiving these.
I am pretty impressed by them, the sound quality is very good. Surprisingly so for how cheap they are, but I will say they won't be as good as a set of Beats headphones. The sleek silver design is attractive and timeless and the size also makes it easy to carry them around in a bag. They are not oversized and this is a major bonus if you're using them when commuting or for long journeys. You can also change the volumne on the headphone wire itself which is also a little bonus.
The only thing that niggles me a little is the feel of them. They feel a little cheap (but not as cheap as what Skullcandy can feel like) but to be honest when you're paying under £50 is that really something to worry about? No. They come with a one year warranty anyway so this should really put your mind to rest.
All in all, a good set of cheap headphones that I'd easily recommend to others.
So in the past few months the Young Adult section in libraries and in bookstores has been overflowing with new books. However Divergent is so much more than just another book on the shelf; it's a highly original piece of literature.
The book centres around a dystopian future where people are placed into 'factions' depending on their personalities. 16 year old Tris Prior is one of many teenagers choosing their factions and is the main heroine. After choosing her faction she struggles to be accepted by the people around her bar the guy her age; 'Four'. It isn't a typical teenage romance, in fact I don't think I'd even say that's a main theme of the novel. The novel is focused fitting in and essentially the trials and tribulations of surviving in such a complicated world.
Of course this is only a simplistic synopsis as the novel has a lot of plot twists and is very complicated. It is worth the money to buy this book; as I really expect it to be on par with the success of the Hunger Games. The film in planned for 2015, and really I can't wait for it because the book is beyond brilliant.
Well, I'm gonna be honest. I have a lot of random stuff in my bag. There's Impluse: Paris, used train tickets, a packet of tissues, a Duracell portable usb charger for android phones (flat, I still haven't taken it out to recharge and I know how useful it can be), a brand new Bourjois foundation in the palest shade possible, a sony walkman usb cable, Extra apple pie chewing gum, L'Occitane lip balm, a toffee crisp, a lot of random rubbish wrappers. Oh dear, I think I need to clean it.
I've owned my wallet for well over a year now, although a different design to one pictured it is by far the best wallet I have ever bought. It's very well made, the fabric makes it waterproof and is easy to clean marks off. Inside there is a zipped space for coins and two spaces where you can put notes and receipts. I have used the purse a lot, and really you wouldn't know that I've owned it for so long. I won't be replacing it for a long while as it is totally worth the money for the quality.
The only vague flaw in the product is the lack of space for credit/debit cards. There's six slots which really isn't enough but there is plenty of space to put them in other parts of the purse. Don't worry, it just means you have to prioritize!
All in all, a very good product only let down by one very minor aspect.
