About this Member

I'm 33, and was born in Southport, Merseyside. Lived there till 18, when I went to Plymouth Poly, now the University of Plymouth, which sounds posher but probably isn't. A couple of years after graduating, I found myself working for BR. Threatened with privatisation, I decided to look for a radical change of direction, so moved to the States. I lived in Philadelphia for a couple of years, then moved west to Seattle, where I met my wife-to-be, Sandy. She's a Vancouver native, and we soon tired of the 200-mile roundtrip to see each other, so I moved up to Vancouver. A year later, I found myself out of work in an almost non-existent job market, so we ended up back in the UK, and back in Southport. For Sandy, the novelty of living over this side of the pond still hasn't worn off!
