I like to have wipes handy in the bathroom for cleaning the toilet. For the rest of the bathroom I usually use a spray. I saw these on offer in Tesco after I moved in with my boyfriend and thought I'd buy them for our bathroom. ** The Wipes ** These wipes by Dettol are designed for the bathroom. They are suitable for most bathroom surfaces including sink and tiles, sealed wooden surfaces, toilet seats, glass and bins. It claims to kill at least 99.9% of bacteria which you kind of want in a place like the bathroom. They don't leave a harsh chemical residue even if you don't rinse which makes it a great choice for toilet seats! I have used cheaper wipes in the past with satisfactory results, how did these compare? Well the wipe is strong and I don't have to worry about it ripping apart while I'm wiping. They remain quite moist in the packet and one wipe goes a long way. Though I tend to use two to clean the toilet (that includes the lid, seat and under the seat). The result is good. My toilet looks clean and the wipe cleans everything in its path. Obviously I clean my toilet regularly so it doesn't get that dirty but the result is still good. In terms of other wipes I have used I can't say I notice much difference in performance. Where the wipe does excel is the strength of the wipe and how moist it is. My one and only issue with the wipe is that it isn't flushable (at least there is no mention of this). Though putting it into the bin is no issue I have accidentally dropped one in and had to fish it out. It is a minor point only. ** Price and Availability ** I got these wipes on offer from Tesco for £1 for 36 wipes. They are £2 normally from Tesco (0.06p/ wipe). Though I am sure they can be bought from other stores from similar prices. ** Overall ** I quite like these wipes. Their strength is what sets them apart from other wipes I have tried (though they have been very cheap wipes). They clean pretty well but just the same as another wipe. They do retain their moisture and one wipe can clean a lot of mess. You can use both sides of the wipe but I am always mindful of what is on the side that I have just used to wipe. Previous wipes I have used have been flushable which have left me accidentally dropping this wipe down the toilet. They are good to use though. I'd probably not spend the full amount on these wipes but at £1 they were a bargain. I will shop around for more wipes for my toilet!
** Vitamin C ** We are all told that we need vitamin C in order to fight off the horrible colds and flus that haunt us during the winter months. It helps boost the immune system to get it fighting fit for the bacteria and virus' entering our bodies. It isn't stored in our bodies so it is advised to top up. While I believe in getting as much of our vitamins and minerals from of our food sometimes we need a boost. I got a huge fright when my diet was really quite disgraceful. It has significant effect on my body and needed a quick fix to get me on track again. That time I really did need a supplement to keep me going. It happens and I think it is good to have them available. ** How to use ** To use you simply chew one tablet per day. It is recommended not to have more than one tablet per day. They are not suitable for those under 12. ** Experience ** I find these tablets fine enough. The orange flavour is there but don't expect it to taste too much of a lovely orange. On the plus side it is probably one of the nicest tablets I have ever chewed. Still, I would rather take a tablet that I just swallow instead. I don't want to chew my tablets! Saying that, the texture isn't too horrible to chew and it goes down quite effortlessly. I would think it is a good product for those who don't like swallowing tablets. ** Product Information ** It is free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. It is suitable for vegetarians and those with a gluten and/ or lactose intolerance. It contains: Sodium Ascorbate, Ascorbic Acid, Sorbitol, Citrus Bioflavonoids, Magnesium Stearate, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Potato Maltodextrin, Sweeteners (Aspartame*, Sucralose), Pectin, Flavour (Natural Orange Flavour (containing Sulphur Dioxide)), Modified Waxy Maize Starch, Antioxidants (DL - Alpha Tocopherol, BHA). Though it is mostly a bunch of meaningless words to most of us! ** Price and Availability ** Not surprisingly, this product is available from Boots. You should be able to find it in most Boots stores in the Vitamins and Minerals aisle. For 60 tablets it costs £5.99 (or £0.10/ tablet). Though there are often offers with other vitamins such as 3 for 2. ** Overall ** I think it is a good product. I think I will stick to tablets that are swallowed instead. However if you have trouble swallowing tablets I'd recommend giving this a go. The taste is quite good for a tablet!
I love tea. I love the warming comfort a mug gives you. I love the wide range of varieties. I love the process of boiling the kettle and adding any sweetener (only sugar or honey) to the cup. And then filling the cup with boiling water and watching it slowly change colour - either to a lovely brown or any colour of the rainbow - and finally adding any milk if it is needed. Though the best part is always sitting down - preferably with a good book and rain hitting against the window - and enjoying the taste and warmth. Britain may be falling more for coffee than tea right now but I will never change. ** Ginger and Digestion ** Ginger has been used to aid digestion for many, many years. It helps stimulate saliva production as well as the lovely bile and gastric juices. I have read suggestions that there are compounds in the ginger (gingerol and shagol) are what helps aid digestion though I don't have the science for this. It is supposed to stimulate digestion and relax the muscles of the digestive track especially high fat and high protein foods. It is also supposed to help with heartburn, nausea and arthritis. It is also apparently high in antioxidants to help prevent colds and flu. It is suggested that the best time to enjoy ginger tea for aiding digestion is to have a cup of ginger tea would be just before eating and possibly a small cup while eating. The tea will help reduce potential for intestinal gas, bloating and cramps. There really doesn't seem like much reason not to drink this tea. Unless you don't like ginger. Then I wouldn't advise it! ** The tea ** I have always liked Pukka teas and this one is no different. It contains three different ginger roots which really give it a rich ginger taste. It is naturally caffeine free and ethically sourced. The teabags themselves are designed to protect the oil content and and organic herbs. To brew the tea it is suggested that you infuse the tea for five minutes. I don't like to leave it in quite this long as I feel the ginger is too strong for my tastes but you can adapt it to your taste. I don't feel that this tea requires sweetening but you can add lemon or honey to sweeten if you so wish. I find it very warming and is great in the winter. But the rich ginger taste can be enjoyed any time of the year. Then sit down and enjoy the rich, spicy ginger taste. If you love ginger you will love this tea. I do feel like it aids my digestion but I don't often have many issues with my digestion it is good to have around for that reason. Or just to enjoy the taste. ** Price and Availability ** The tea is available from Pukka teas directly at £2.29 for 20 though this doesn't include delivery. It is also available in a lot of health stores and some bigger supermarkets. In particular, Tesco sell this for £2. 39 for twenty tea bags. It isn't the cheapest out there but I think it is worth paying a little extra assuming you aren't using the tea too much. ** Overall ** I would definitely recommend this tea. Whether it is because you just like the taste of ginger tea or you like it and want something to improve your digestive health. A big recommendation from me. The price may not appeal but if you aren't using it too much it is worth it in terms of taste.
I don't know about other curly haired people, but I am constantly disappointed in products out there for curly hair. The only products I have loved using on my hair weren't even intended for curly hair (one in fact was a straightening cream). Yet, I still seem to buy them with a sliver of hope that they will do what I want them to. My usual mousse wasn't on offer (one of the non-curly haired items that I love) so I decided to go for something else. The Pantene Pro-V mousse for curly hair was on offer so I thought I'd give it a go. ** The Mousse ** As suggested the mousse is defined for those of us graced with curls. It suggests the mousse will define your curls and stop them getting frizzy. It is an ultra strong hold mousse to last all day and states that it is suitable for Normal to thick hair. My hair is quite thick compared to a lot of people so tend to side with thick haired products when I can. And of course it is supposed to leave your hair looking healthy and shiny. To use you simply use at as you would a normal mousse. I tend to use it when my hair is still wet but has dried a bit in the towel and scrunch it into my hair. ** Experience ** Unfortunately this didn't surpass my already low expectations of another curly haired product. My hair was definitely not defined and my curls just didn't look that good. Frizz wise it did help a little but not greatly so. It does get extra points for helping the frizz though. The hold doesn't last all day. By the end of the day there is not much hold left. On the plus side my hair isn't too crunchy and feels nice and soft. It did work well in my semi-thick hair but I can't say I have encountered a product that didn't like the thickness of my hair. Certainly not a mousse anyway. My hair looks okay. It just has no definition, falls flat and doesn't look more healthy compared to other brands so it doesn't even have that going for it. ** Price and Availability ** I bought this mousse on offer (buy one get one free). An individual can of mousse costs £2.78. It can be found from most beauty stores. I got mine from Tesco. ** Overall ** It was a disappointing mousse for me and not something I'd recommend to fellow curly haired people. It doesn't do much for your curls and despite anything else it could do that really is the one that you want to work well. I continue on my quest for good curly hair products.
A lot of us experience heartburn or indigestion at some point in our life. So it is always handy to have a product handy to help ease the symptoms when they arise. Though if it is becomming a more serious problem which can't be helped by store bought items then it may be worth considering visiting your doctor. ** The Product ** Rennie is an antacid containing tablet which neutralises stomach acid. It aims to bring relief to those suffering from heartburn or indigestion. Heartburn is when acid from the stomach rises up your oesophagus (throat) and causes a burning pain. It is suggested that it is caused/ enhanced by unhealthy diets, stress and over-eating. It is also common in pregnant women. This product can be taken by those that are pregnant but it is always a good idea to consult a medical professional. It is something I have suffered though I tend to get it more when I am stressed. Indigestion is the pain in the stomach, usually experienced after eating. Other symptoms include a knotted stomach and bloating, excessive wind and feeling sick. It can be caused by diet, stress or eating on the run. It isn't something I always get and it is usually mild when I do but it is always good to have a product handy when it does occur. ** How to use it ** Rennie is taken orally. I take them just when I am experience the discomfort to control the symptoms. Adults should take two tablets at a time and can be sucked or chewed. Though you should not exceed 10 tablets per day. As always please read the instructions from the box or consult your pharmacist. ** Experience ** I haven't tried too many brands of antacids but out of the ones I have I prefer Rennie. The taste is better than others I have tried. It isn't the nicest of tastes, it isn't like a mint tablet, but the mintiness does help get the tablet down. I prefer to chew them just to get it down as quick as possible. It does feel a bit like chewing powder but you get used to it after a few times. Again, not the nicest of experiences but it is worth it. I haven't really felt any difference between the brands that I have tried so it doesn't lose or gain points on this. I have found that my symptoms usually go quite quickly - usually within minutes - after taking two tablets. And they stay away until there is reason for them to flare up again. I am really happy with the results. ** Price and Availability ** Rennie Peppermint is easily found in most health stores and pharmacies. It is currently £5.29 in Boots and Superdrug for 72 tablets. The same pack is £4.50 in Tesco and I am sure I paid even less for it so it is worth shopping around if you can. ** Overall ** Rennie is a well trusted brand for good reason. Their tablets provide effective relief for those with heartburn or indigestion (including those who are pregnant). The tablet kicks in quickly once chewed (and I assume sucked but I can't say for certain). They are one of the better tasting brands that I have tried. You can taste the peppermint quite easily. The texture isn't great but there are worse experiences. Really when you have heartburn you just want the pain to go; a little bit of weird texture in your mouth isn't the worst thing. I would definitely recommend these over other brands: They work effectively and with a better taste.
I bought this perfume for myself as I needed a new perfume for every day use. This one was on offer and from a brand I trust. It was the smallest bottle available. Though I am now considering buying a bigger bottle to replace the small one. ** The Product ** The perfume is designed to be unisex and for every day/ casual wear. The price of the product means that I don't mind wearing it every day and the scent isn't too heavy so it is perfect for every day use. The smallest bottle is plastic with a push down top that functions as the lid. This is the one I have and is perfect for slipping into a bag to take with you on a day out if you want to freshen up. I also like to take it for weekends away as it is smaller and also costs less so not so much of an issue if I forget to bring it home. ** Scent ** I find it hard to pick out the scents of the fragrance. It smells like a classic perfume to me. Regardless it is a nice scent and I'm happy to wear it. It is light enough to be worn during the day but strong enough that you can smell it. Top notes: pineapple, orange, papaya, bergamot, cardamom, lemon Centre notes: Nutmeg, violet, orris root, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, rose Base notes: Sandalwood, amber, musk, cedar, oak moss ** Lastability ** I was quite impressed with how much the perfume lasted. Other perfumes I have bought for every day wear haven't lasted very long but I can smell this on my skin for quite a while after I first use it. If you want to keep the scent fresh you may need a top up during the day but I don't tend to bother. You can't really expect perfume to last - or at least not from my experience - but this one does the job it is supposed to. ** Price and Availability ** The perfume is available on the high street in certain beauty stores (e.g. Boots) or it can be found online at various sites (e.g. Amazon). It is an established fragrance so finding it shouldn't be an issue. The bottle comes in four different sizes: 20ml, 50ml, 100ml, 200ml. I got the 20ml to test the perfume with and I loved it. The 20ml is usually around £10 and increases in price to £16, £17 and finally £26. For the quality of product I would say that this is a good price. ** Overall ** It is a good quality perfume at a good price. It is marketed as being unisex and the scent does smell universal. But it is still a good scent that you can be happy to wear every day. Would definitely recommend giving this a go. You can test it in most Boots stores. Or be adventurous and buy the smallest bottle online to see how you like it.
When it comes to buying toilet roll I like to get a good balance between cheap and not going to fall apart in my hands. I can't say I have really been disappointed with toilet roll before (that I have bought anyway - I have used questionable roll in public toilets). I wouldn't normally buy Andrex but the shopping decision wasn't up to me. ** The product ** As you can probably guess by the brand: it is toilet roll. It is two ply and it is suggested it has a scented 'inner-core'. Not that I have noticed a difference in the smell of this toilet roll compared to others (not that I spend much time sniffing toilet roll you understand). It is also supposed to be enriched with the softness of shea butter. ** Using the product ** Well, I don't want to go into too much detail. We all know what the product is and how to use it. If you don't know then I'm sure you can find something online that will tell you. Anyway, I have no issues using the product. It is a thick enough roll that you don't need too much. Andrex is never as soft as I expect it to feel. I guess the adverts make it sound like a much better product than it is. But it is strong. So for that I consider it a good quality product. I have noticed no difference in scent. Really nothing about this product stands out compared to any other toilet roll. We received the 9 roll pack about a month ago and have nearly finished it. Two adults using it quite regularly. ** Price and Availability ** You can buy this product from most supermarkets. The 9 roll pack will set you back around £4.75 and the 4 roll £2.25. You are marginally better off buying the 9 roll pack. ** Overall ** It works. That is all that I can really say about this toilet roll. I wouldn't really recommend buying it as I think there are better and cheaper alternatives out there. I feel this brand is a bit hyped up for what it actually is. Yeah it is a good quality roll in terms of thickness and strength but so are other toilet rolls. Save your pennies and go for something cheaper. The addition of shea butter to this made no difference what so ever.
A review on toilet gel you say? I can sense your excitement building already. Or not, but I figured it would be good to let people know how a store brand product holds up against the leading brands in the toilet cleaning industry. ** The product ** The product is toilet gel to clean your toilet. While only the original is presented on DooYoo there are a few others available to choose from, I personally use the citrus one. It wasn't my choice but I am happy enough with the scent. After all it is literally going down the toilet. The bottle states that it cleans, freshens and kills bacteria. Also specifically states that it is not tested on animals and that Tesco fund research into alternative methods. I like to buy products that aren't tested on animals or the brand as a whole doesn't test on animals so this is a plus point to me and another reason I recommend this product. It comes in a nice enough bottle but packaging doesn't really do much for me anyway. ** Using the Product ** The toilet gel works like any other, squirt it into your toilet. You can scrub it with a toilet brush to ensure your toilet gets a good clean. Easy to use and no different to use than a more expensive brand. The only thing I do notice is that it is a bit thinner than the more expensive counterparts but I don't feel like it cleans my toilet any less effectively, especially if you are keeping up with your toilet cleaning. As I am sure you are. ** Effectiveness ** My toilet looks and smells clean which is all you can really ask for from a toilet cleaner. The scent doesn't seem different to any other brand (not that I spend much time with my nose down toilets, just to clarify). In terms of how long a bottle lasts I would say that it is the same as any other bottle. I use about the same amount of cleaner as I would any other brand and the same amount of times per week. ** Price and Availability ** You can buy this from most Tesco stores. I'm not sure about the smaller stores but at least in the bigger stores. It is only £0.80 so it is well priced for what it does and how long it lasts. Does just what a more branded item does. ** Overall ** A good item from Tesco. Perhaps not quite the same quality of product in terms of thickness but it does the job. My toilet looks and smells clean and all for a good price. I would definitely recommend trying it the next time you need a toilet cleaner.
While I have always regarded Herbal Essences as a trusted brand providing good quality products I had never used them until recently. I needed new shampoo and came across them in a sale. This isn't the first Herbal Essence product that I have used but it is the second. It is designed for normal hair and while my hair doesn't quite fit into this category I was hoping it would have some effect on my hair. ** Herbal Essences ** Herbal Essences is a hair care brand offering a wide range of shampoos and conditioners for every hair type. Their products help your hair look, feel and smell great. Their bottles have had a bit of an image uplift recently using more vibrant colours and different bottle designs. Though their new advert suggests that they are bringing back their classic range as well. ** The Conditioner ** The bottle suggests that it leaves your hair with a dazzling shine though I wasn't expecting much with my curly hair; it never looks shiny. The shampoo has a citrus fragrance which you can smell when you first squeeze it into your hands. The smell does linger in your hair but it is a nice smell and not too overpowering; just enough of a scent to make your hair smell clean and fresh. After using conditioners of a lesser quality it was quite nice being able to smell the difference in my hair. The conditioner spreads easily across your hair. I tend to need a good bit on my hand to cover all my hair but this is true with any conditioner and I wouldn't say that this one is any different. But my hair does feel softer for using it. It hasn't left my hair shiny as suspected and it hasn't been as good at keeping my hair soft as other shampoos and conditioners in the Herbal Essences range have. It is definitely not the worst thing I have used on my hair though. ** Price and Availability ** Herbal Essences can be found in a range of stores. The smaller bottles are sometimes found in some bargain stores but are more easily found in high street stores such as Superdrug and Boots. They can also be found in larger supermarkets (e.g. Tescos). The range can also be found with various offers if you are lucky. The RRP for the 400ml is £3.89 but you can often pick this up for half price if you shop around. ** Overall ** While this shampoo wasn't for me I can't really fault it too much. If you have curly hair and/ or it requires more conditioning then I wouldn't suggest this range. However, if this doesn't apply to you and you do have normal hair then I would recommend giving it a go. I have been very pleased with Herbal Essences so far and will be happy to continue using their products.
When looking for a new razor I was hit with a wall of pink. I'm not sure why companies think that all women want is nice pink things but they seem to think that we do. That was actually the main reason that I went for the Venus razor. I do actually like the colour pink, I just disagree with companies who insist I must like it because I am a woman and can't use something unless it is pink. Though I did also buy it because I trust the brand Gillette and I have always regarded the Venus razors to be of good quality. Also the wide range of razor heads available. ** Gillette Venus ** Venus is a range by company Gillette aimed at women with a focus on hair removal. More specifically shaving. They have both disposable razors and refillable razors. This is a refillable razor in which you buy the razor and then buy refill the blades as necessary. Usefully, once you have a Gillette Venus razor you can use any of the range of refill razor heads. ** The razors ** The actual razor is blue. When you buy the razor you get a holder for it in the shower which you can also store the razors in. I've actually lost mine but they are useful to have. The razor is comfortable to hold in the hand and doesn't slip. The head of the razor moves to give softer movement over the skin and minimises the risk of cutting yourself. It is pleasant to use and much nicer than any disposable razor I have used. I find it glides easily over the skin. I think it is worth buying refillable razors for this purpose. It is a much nicer, better quality use. The three blades of this razor give me a close shave and I am always left happy with the smoothness of the skin. At the top and bottom of the razor head there is a soft blue section. This is supposed to help smooth out the skin in order to give you a closer shave. I can't really say whether they do the job they are supposed to. I don't notice too much difference. But the shave is close regardless. I find that the razors last me quite a while. There is a blue strip just above the blades that indicates when the razor needs changing. I find that I can use it with good enough results once the strip has gone. It isn't great but it will do if you don't need perfectly shaved skin. You definitely notice when you change to a new razor blade though so the strip is a useful indicator. As far as changing the blades it is very simple. You simply press a button to release the used head. And in order to use the next head you open the plastic contained that it comes in. Push the body of the razor in and it should pop into place. That is it; you are ready to go. ** Price and Availability ** This razor is available at a wide range of beauty stores. I bought mine from Superdrug a while ago and now get my blades from Amazon on a subscription basis. The razor is £7.99. This comes with two razor heads and the body of the razor. Plus the in shower holder. The blades themselves cost £7.79 for four. And as I mentioned, you can also use the other razor heads in the range. I find that the price is quite acceptable for what you get. I always grudge the price of the replacement blades but I like the product that much that I put up with them. Plus if they are lasting me a while then it really isn't such a huge price. ** Overall ** I would definitely recommend this product to those who are looking for a refillable razor. If you have sensitive skin there is a specific blade for your skin but otherwise I would recommend this. If you are unsure about whether to swap from disposable to refillable then I would recommend this product. The blades may be more expensive but it is better quality and feels much nicer against my skin.
The body butter from The Body Shop is probably one of my favourite items from the retailer. I have found that they leave my skin so soft and the quality of the product greater than from other companies. Plus they offer a wider array of fragrances that mostly smell delicious; almost good enough to eat. ** Body Shop ** The Body Shop is a beauty store offering a wide range of beauty options in a range of scents to suit most people. Their products tend to be of good quality/ They have many ranges of skin care, bath and body, feet, make-up, fragrance and a section just for me . These can be bought in-store or online. ** Using the Body Butter ** As I have mentioned I love the Body Shop butters and this one is no different. I received it as a gift at Christmas as part of a set. You can smell the lovely strawberry scent when you unscrew the lid. It isn't a horrible, sickly sweet, artificial strawberry smell that you can sometimes find but rather a lovely sweet that almost smells good enough to eat. You do sometimes need more effort to get the butter out the pot than you would with other body butters. It is more like a butter than a cream. But it does come out nice and thick. Despite the thickness it does spread nicely over the skin and absorbs quickly. But you will notice a shiny film over your skin. This does go eventually once the remaining cream has been absorbed into the skin. You don't need too much of this product to get a smooth, soft result. Once the cream is on the skin and starts to absorb it almost instantly feels smoother. I tend to save it for the driest areas of my skin as the butter is more expensive and the rest of my skin doesn't need it. Though it is also good for a treat for the rest of your skin as well. Especially the likes of your arms and legs which tend to be out more. I get really dry skin on my arms - especially in winter - but the body butter really softens the skin. There are very few products I trust to use on my dry skin. ** Price and Availability ** This can be found in most Body Shop stores or bought directly online. The 50ml tub is £5 or you can buy the better value tub of 200ml for £13. It is definitely worth the price tag for the quality of product you get. I don't like spending more than I have to, especially when it comes to beauty products. It is one of the products that I am willing to spend more on just because it works so well. And if you are using it only on the driest parts of your skin then it will last longer. The online store often has offers on so it is well worth keeping an eye out for them. ** Overall ** I would definitely recommend this body butter. It smells lovely and is a great quality product. Whether you have dry skin that you'd like to clear up or just want treat yourself then it is a wonderful item. Or if you are looking for a gift for someone they are great products to treat someone else to.
While I don't actively seek out new perfumes when they are released I did stumble upon this lovely perfume while out shopping a few weeks back. Prada wouldn't normally be a brand that I tend to buy as it isn't really within my price range at the moment but we all deserve a treat from time to time. And this candy is better for you than the edible kind! ** Prada ** Prada is an Italian fashion designer, well known for being a desirable and luxurious brand. They specialise in leather, fashion accessories, perfume and others. ** Scent ** The most important part of any perfume is the scent. That is their intended purpose. I love the smell of this perfume. It is sweet and definitely suits the name Candy. It doesn't smell specifically candy like but the sweetness does have that connotation. It is described as having a seductive and oriental scent which I would agree with, it is a very feminine and sensual scent. While it is seductive the scent is light enough that it could be worn during the day as well. It notes of white musk, vanilla, caramel, benzoin, gourmand. A gorgeous combination to leave you feeling feminine and beautiful. It is really one of my favourite scents. I don't think I have ever found a perfume that I have instantly loved as much as I love this one. It really just grabs you and leaves you wanting more. I think this perfume will be a permanent feature on my present wishlist. ** Design ** The only thing I am unsure about this perfume is the design of the bottle. It is a cylindrical clear glass bottle, with a pink band at the top with the name 'Prada' on it. This isn't too bad but I don't like the lid. To me, it looks a bit like a mushroom with the stem and rounded top. I am not going to knock any stars off for this as the perfume is too good in other respects for this and to me design isn't the most important thing. Plus I am quite happy to have a Prada perfume in my collection. Quite obviously so at that. ** Does it last? ** Most perfumes I have tried have not been very well lasting. I expect to need to top up at some point but most tend to disappoint me especially when you've tried higher quality perfumes that do last. You can smell the scent for 10 minutes until your nose gets used to it, you can still vaguely smell it if you really smell your wrist for another couple of hours and then others can smell something faintly. If you are out all day/ night then you want a perfume that is going to last. Thankfully this perfume satisfies this desire quite beautifully. The first day I tested it I was still able to smell it on myself later on in the day, more faintly but lasts better than most other perfumes that I have used. I don't have to worry about taking the bottle anywhere and I know I smell good. ** Price and Availability ** This perfume can be bought from beauty stores such as Boots and also found online. On Amazon it is currently £41.72 for 30ml. For the quality of perfume you get I would definitely consider this as a fair price especially in consideration of how long it lasts. It isn't suited to everyone's budget but we all deserve a treat from time to time. Or ideal as a present. ** Overall ** Would I recommend this? More than I have recommended anything before. I wouldn't normally spend that money on perfume but I feel it is worth it for this one. It is something I use for special occasions so the bottle lasts longer especially without as many top ups needed as other perfumes. Combined with the beautiful scent you do get a really good quality perfume and something you would want to save for special occasions. If you treat yourself - or need a present idea - here you go, try this!
While I have always regarded Herbal Essences as a trusted brand providing good quality products I had never used them until recently. I needed new shampoo and came across them in a sale. This isn't the first Herbal Essence product that I have used but it is the second. ** Herbal Essences ** Herbal Essences is a hair care brand. They have a wide range of products for every hair type and outcome you could want. Their products help your hair look, feel and smell great. Their bottles have had a bit of an image uplift recently using more vibrant colours and different bottle designs. Though their new advert suggests that they are bringing back their classic range as well. ** The Shampoo ** The bottle suggests that it leaves your hair with a dazzling shine. It is intended for those with normal hair. My hair is sort of dry/ normal. I tend to use products for dry hair as a result but I thought I would give it a go. I wasn't expecting much from the shine as my hair is curly and I tend to use product on top. As a result I don't often consider my hair as shiny. The shampoo has a citrus fragrance which you can smell when you first smell it. The smell does linger in your hair but it is a nice smell and not too overpowering. After using less quality shampoos it was quite nice being able to smell the difference in my hair. The shampoo does lather quite nicely and not too much is needed to get a good lather.
I have always regarded Herbal Essences as a good, well-trusted, quality brand. Not that I actually bought their products; I chose instead to stick to cheaper brands who seemed to do the job. However I saw this on sale one day, while buying something else, so I thought I would treat myself. ** Herbal Essences ** Herbal Essences is a hair care brand. They have a wide range of products for every hair type and outcome you could want. Their products help your hair look, feel and smell great. Their bottles have had a bit of an image uplift recently using more vibrant colours and different bottle designs. ** Does it ignite my colour? ** Use it as you would any other conditioner. It is lovely and thick like conditioner should be and glides easily over your hair; giving good coverage. I tend to leave it in my hair for a few minutes and do something else while it gets to work. It rinses out the hair easily and you notice that your hair feels much smoother already. As you smell it from the bottle (careful not to squeeze it onto your face - I managed this in the shop) the passion fruit nectar and Moroccan rose are very noticeable. It is sweet without being too sweet or artificial smelling. You can still smell it on your hair once you are out the shower but it isn't too strong, just noticeable enough to smell clean. As I have recently gone from dying my hair dark dark brown to light blonde I need as much hair colour care as I can get. My hair colour does look good though I can't be certain that it is the conditioner I do notice that my colour lasts longer than it usually does. It is also a lot softer and smells wonderful. Once my hair is dry it definitely feels much softer. It isn't so frizzy and looks healthier. Since using this product I am more tempted to keep using it in the future. ** Price and Availability ** Herbal Essences can be found in a range of stores. However it can often be found on sale for £1.89 each. ** Overall ** I love this product. My hair looks and smells great. It is also softer to the touch. It is definitely a good quality product. While I can see why you would pay £3.79 for this conditioner I save it for when I can find a good deal on it. I would buy another conditioner and wait for the deal to come back if it came to that. Thankfully a bottle of this lasts quite a while so generally there are other offers going on somewhere. I definitely recommend this product if you dye your hair. I can't guarantee it is the best product out there but I certainly like it.
I bought this with my own recent order from the Body Shop online shop. It was mostly as I needed to spend over £5 to get free delivery and I had a code for 50% off. I love Body Shop body butters anyway so I thought I would give this one a go. ** Body Shop ** The Body Shop is a beauty store offering a wide range of beauty options in a range of scents to suit most people. They have many ranges of skin care, bath and body, feet, make-up, fragrance and mens. These can be bought in-stor ** Using the Body Butter ** As I have mentioned, I am a fan of the Body Shop body butters anyway. I find them very rich and good at smoothing out dry skin. This one is no different. On opening the screw top lid you can smell the chocolately goodness inside. Thankfully it isn't too sickly sweet. Smells lovely enough to eat without being too overpowering. It is . The butter itself is quite firm and nearly solid unlike some other body butters. You need slightly more effort to get it out but nothing that will cause a sweat or aggravation. It glides effortlessly over your skin, covering it nicely. Once you have rubbed it in you will notice that it is shiny. This disappears as the butter is absorbed into the skin. It doesn't take long to notice the good effects of this butter on your dry skin. It makes them feel softer (while also smelling good). You don't need too much of this either (but I still save it for a treat or once a week moisturisation and other moisturisers during the week if they are needed. I'd only use it every day if I had particularly dry skin. ** Price and Availability ** This can be found in most Body Shop stores or bought directly online. The 50ml tub is £5 or you can buy the better value tub of 200ml for £13. Even though I technically got this for £2.50 it is definitely worth the price tag and would buy it full price. The online shop often runs promotions to get a certain percentage off items so it is worth looking out for them. ** Overall ** Would I recommend this? Definitely. It has an amazing scent, melts lovingly into your skin leaving it so lovely and soft. Worth every penny.
