If you are looking for an outfit without the expense, go to primark. The prices range, however you can get underwear very cheaply from about £5 for a set. Primark sell all sorts of women's and men's clothes, which are suitable for all sorts of occasions. Primark also do a large range of jewellery at cheap prices. They even do sweets at the checkout! Primark also do many different styles and their clothes are generally quite good quality; I haven't had anything rip or break from here before which is a bonus given the price tag.
Primark's customer service assistants are very helpful and friendly. If asked, they know where things are, and they can quickly serve you so you can get your shopping done quickly if you are in a rush. The layout of the store is tidy and organised, so it is easy to find what you want, and the store is also spacious so it is easy to wander around just browsing.
Primark also reduce items if they are damaged, and have a good January sale, of up to about 70% off! Their clothes come in a range of colours for a range of events. I would overall give Primark a high rating for a high street shop!
This is a good pop fix. Featuring fifteen songs, nearly all of these songs are upbeat and perfect to dance to. Sound of the underground, being the first song on the album, has a kind of electric pop beat to it, making you want to get up and dance. All of the songs on the album are very sexy sounding. Some of the instruments featured may include drums, guitar, and of course there is singing over the top. This is a very teenage album, but never the less, it is good. This album has a very happy vibe too, so it's bound to put a smile on your face. The lyrics in some of the songs present the girls as being rebellious and fun, so this album would suit someone who is also of those characteristics. The third track however, 'Life Got Cold' is more serious; however this song is still melodic and is more a track you can sit back and relax to. Overall, great pop album.
This gold bunny rabbit is delicious, as well as looking nice from the wrapper. It's foil is of perfect condition, and although thin this is also a positive because it can be opened very easily. The bell around the rabbit's neck is decorative, but unfortunately doesn't jingle. The chocolate itself is delicious, it is very creamy creating a smooth feel when eating it. The chocolate is also thick, however there is nothing inside of the chocolate so it is a chocolate layer that you break into. Priced at around £2 for a reasonable sized bunny, this is a great and good quality product.
Poundland have been successful due to their cheap prices, however the products aren't actually bad quality! If you go in there, you will find you can buy almost anything, from makeup, kitchen stuff, cds/dvds, food, stationary, and almost anything else you can think of. However, one thing Poundland do not stock is clothes. The food is generally of an OK quality, along with some of the other stuff. One thing that isn't good quality there are the vitamin pills, though, as they are soft and generally bad quality. However the rest of the shop is really not bad! The store itself is clean and tidy, and the staff are generally very helpful, and noticeable due to their red poundland uniforms. It is not very easy to locate where things are in the store, however, the staff would be able to show you. Poundland is great if you are after a cheap shopping trip or a browse! Summing Poundland up in two words would be, cheap and cheerful.
This hot chocolate is relatively cheap, priced at around £2.25 which is reasonable for hot chocolate powder. The hot chocolate tub states that it is 'instant' which couldn't be more true. The hot chocolate powder from this tub can just be added to hot water in order to make hot chocolate, as the instructions state that you just add hot water, however although the hot chocolate powder adds a nice flavour the actual hot chocolate turns out very watery and needs to be a thicker mixture. Also, the chocolate powder has far too much sugar in it, as if you get some out with a spoon you can actually see the grains of white sugar in the mixture. The mixture also tastes too sugary and a bit 'grainy'. Never tried the mixture with milk as the instructions say just to add hot water. Not the best product galaxy has ever made though.
This sweet-smelling pocket size vaseline is a must for any woman's handbag. Like the other pots of petroleum jelly, this is the same with a different smell; cocoa butter. This cocoa butter smell is sweet but also smells natural. It smells of coconuts, and it wouldn't be completely off topic to imagine you were somewhere really exotic while wearing this lip balm/petroleum jelly, like in a rain forest! To mix with the cocoa butter smell, the pot is color coded brown so you don't get confused with the types of petroleum jelly; nifty! It is easy to apply as you just dip your finger in the pot, then transfer to your lips. The petroleum jelly feels incredibly soft and smooth on the lips, as well as looks very shiny and makes your lips look nice and plump, and well nourished. This product is suitable anywhere on the body, and would most likely be fine for the most sensitive of skin. Another plus is, it isn't too sticky! So there is no need to wash your hands after having used it. And priced at 99p, who cannot afford one?! This is definately a must have, due to it's sweet, exotic smell and soft, supple feel on the skin.
These nail polishes are just wonderful. Collection 2000 has always been known for being a cheap, cheerful and fun brand, and these hot looks nail polishes are no exception. They have cool, creative names, such as the pinkish red one named 'Fruit Salad', the yellow one named 'Look At Me' and the medium blue one named 'Bmx Bandit.' The colours are very bright, cheerful and fun - just like the brand collection 2000! They are easy to apply with the right sized brush and the colour shows up prominently on nails from the first coat! The 'fast dry' promise said on the front of the bottles isn't a lie either - they dry fairly quickly on nails meaning there is not much waiting around/blowing your nails dry before getting down to things. At £1.79 per pot in Boots price is hardly an issue; those on a budget could have the entire collection in no time! These nail polishes are brilliant, apart from the fact that they could stay on a little longer, but they will work to make your life more colourful for a while!
This perfume, Tresor by Lancome Paris, is a brilliant, summery scent for women. It has a very pretty bottle and case which gives this perfume a very attractive appearance, in an upside-down pyramid shaped glass bottle, and a pink interior perfume showing through and a matching pink case.
The scent is also very admirable however; you could describe it's scent as being very fruity and light, without smelling cheap or too strong, although the scent is evidently there when you are wearing this perfume. This perfume also smells a bit like flowers that come out in summer. Summing up the scent is difficult although it probably smells most like peaches mixed with sweet smelling flowers. This scent is undeniably sweet but also sophisticated smelling which makes it classy as well as attractive. This scent is a great scent for young women as it is sophisticated and classy, but also suitable for women who are quite young too. The scent gives a very 'fresh' feeling when worn. This Tresor scent is a perfect scent for the summer as it has a light, airy, sweet, feminine and classy smell that is laidback.
Ellie Goulding's album, released in 2010, is a difficult genre to sum up. However it is probably dance. Ellie's dance music reflects her childhood growing up in the country by her lyrics alone, and even though the background music isn't a country style, the lyrics are, which makes Ellie's music very interesting because of the dance music plus country style lyrics over the top of the tracks. Ellie's music is not only intelligent, but reflects her innocent and adventurous/questioning personality. Ellie has written her songs autobiographically, especially in her song 'Wish I Stayed', where it is evident from the lyrics that Ellie is speaking about past experiences. The best known song in this album is probably 'Starry Eyed', which Ellie released first; this was her breakthrough song. 'Starry Eyed' has a 'dreamy' melody to it, and is very melodic and catchy. This can be said about all of Ellie's songs; they are catchy without being too repetitive. Some of the songs sound a little 'chimey' creating the dreamy sound Ellie has mastered. A positive about Ellie's music is that the lyrics are very easy to make out without having to read them, as Ellie has a clear singing voice. Ellie questions a lot of things in her music, making her album Bright Lights a great album to analyse and interpret if you like doing that. Ellie's music is very sweet, however not very sexy, so if you like this kind of sound then Bright Lights is right for you.
Pixie's beats are happy, feminine, and full of attitude and opinion. Released in 2010, 'Turn It Up Louder' is a jam packed CD with 22 good quality tracks, all of pop (popular) music. The instruments used are definatly a piano, maybe a triangle, and others, adding to the happy and upbeat style of Pixie's music. Pixie can reach incredibly high vocals, which adds to the extremely happy sound to her songs! Pixie has sang new, original songs that haven't been done before, such as 'Turn It Up' and 'Boys and Girls' which were released, but she has also done covers of other artists' music on this CD, including Kings of Leon's 'Use Somebody', and Kelly Rowland's 'When Love Takes Over'. She does these very effectively and in her own style, reaching all the right notes. Despite these covers being slow songs, her unreleased songs are generally fast paced, for example 'Boys and Girls' is a real pop/dance track. All of Pixie's songs on this album are soulful, for example in 'Broken Arrow' which emits a lot of emotion and is relatable to a lot of people who have had their heart broken! As all of Pixie's tracks have a different meaning to them, Pixie and her incredible voice will take you through many different emotions on this album, as the tracks are so versatile and high quality. Overall this CD emits high quality soul/R & B/pop music that is worth a listen for anybody.
Cheryl, originally from the girl group 'Girls Aloud', reached out by herself and this was her first solo album; a brilliant one at that. This album 3 words is a brilliant album and my favorite from Cheryl Cole. I have to say there is not one song that is bad on this album, all songs are of high quality and in this album Cheryl has collaborated with Will.I.Am, a very talented musician/solo singer originally from the black eyed peas, and they have worked together brilliantly. '3 Words', 'Parachute' and 'Fight For This Love' are the most famous songs from the album. All of the songs on this album have a powerful and motivating beat and sound to them, emphasizing Cheryl's inner strength and dynamism. I have to say the genre of 3 words is a little electro pop, but this works with the theme and Cheryl's voice. '3 Words' has a very mysterious sound to it, but it is a great track with a brilliant and powerful sound. 'Heaven' is a sort of dreamy track that emphasizes the happiness of being in love, which Will.I.Am is also rapping on. 'Fight For This Love' is an uplifting track with a sing-along melody to it; it is dreamy but also motivating and has a really strong message to it. There is definitely an 'electric' sound in the background of Cheryl's songs on 3 Words that is very captivating and different from other pop songs. This is a brilliant pop album all round, with all 11 tracks being brilliant. If you want songs you can easily memorize and sing to, this is also a good album to purchase - all the songs are tuneful and really catchy without being annoying. Well done Cheryl!
Fergie, originally from the black eyed peas, reached out for a solo pop/r & b album which she released in 2006. 'Fergalicious', 'Clumsy', 'Big Girls Don't Cry' and 'Glamorous' would have been her released singles on this album. This album, named 'The Dutchess', was labelled correctly as Fergie exudes confidence and sexiness. 'Fergalicious' is a relatively fast paced track, with fergie explaining how 'fergalicious' she is, but how she isn't 'promiscuous', which are very clever lyrics. In this song she explains her relationship with the opposite sex and also her relationship with her personal body image confidently, by saying 'they want a taste of what i got, i'm fergalicious.' Clumsy is a funny tune, showing Fergie's good sense of humour, as she explains she is clumsy because she is falling in love, and this is a very upbeat track with lots of rhythm. 'London Bridge' is yet another upbeat track with Fergie singing about herself. 'Pedestal' is about how people class themselves as better than you are without good reasoning, which is another independant song as the subject matter isn't constantly sung about. In Fergie's songs there is a lot of use of drums in the background that make her songs so upbeat and sort of 'awakening.' 'Glamorous' is a track describing her glamorous lifestyle and was a very tuneful single, Fergie sings very quickly on this track and it is almost like a rap, but slightly slower. 'Big Girls Don't Cry' is perhaps the most laidback tune on the album, with it's relaxing melody and slow beat. 'Mary Jane Shoes' is also a bit like this as it has a happy, relaxing beat with drums in the background again. So Fergie's album exudes sex appeal and is very upbeat, but her tracks are also versatile as a couple of the songs including 'Mary Jane Shoes' and 'Big Girls Don't Cry' are slower paced, happier songs that you could really relax to. Brilliant album!
This album Sanctuary was released by Simon Webbe in 2005 when he turned into a solo artist, from the boy band 'Blue.' Sanctuary was a big hit. The album includes the songs 'Lay Your Hands' and 'No Worries' which were the most popular songs from this pop album. 'Lay Your Hands' is an incredibly cheerful track that will lighten anybody's day. The lyrics to 'Lay Your Hands' are very uplifting, for example when Simon says 'When life is getting you down and close to defeat, come and lay your hands on me.' It is this kind and caring nature that Simon exudes and shows in his album Sanctuary, through his lyrics. His lyrics show that he has a genuinely kind and also laidback and relaxed nature, which fits the album title, Sanctuary. 'No Worries' is also a very uplifiting song, which is obvious from the lyrics at the beginning, which say 'I just know your life's going to change, gonna get a little better' which is a positive message to Simon's fans. There is clear evidence of guitar playing in a lot of Simon's tracks which creates that uplifting but relaxing feel to his music. There is also evidence of drums playing in the background, which really help to create the melody to Simon's songs. Another positive point about Simon's CD is that it is an album for both genders - even though many of his songs are written about true romance. Some of Simon's music sounds a little country, however it is only slightly there and the main genre is pop. 'A Little High' is another one of Simon's uplifting tracks, as he states in the song 'Everybody needs a little high.' This is a brilliant, relaxing, romantic, happy pop album for both genders that I recommend to everybody.
This album from Jennifer was released in 2001. It has a foreign twist to it with all of the instruments used, these have produced a foreign/Mediterranean sound for the album that went down a storm when released, especially with Jennifer's famous song 'Love Don't Cost A Thing' that was filmed on a hot beach somewhere, promoting the foreign sound this album has to it. The genre of this album called J.Lo is R & B because all the songs have a lot of rhythm to them that you can sing along to. 'Play' was also a pretty famous song that is included on this album, which is also very tuneful and melodic with a sexy sound. Jennifer has included some songs of a foreign language in this pop CD, including 'Se Ya Se Acabo' which has a foreign sound to it, stringed instruments and brass band instruments with percussion instruments also emphasize the sound of the album in this song, accompanied by J Lo's foreign music. I would also say that this CD 'J Lo' is a summer album because of its tuneful and sexy R & B tracks. Really worth a listen!
This CD 'Breakaway' by Kelly Clarkson is packed with attitude - Kelly sings romantic songs that have a melancholy feeling throughout, however Kelly has an attitude that shows in her music and hints at her being a strong woman with a lot of heart, attitude and emotion. All of the songs on this album 'Breakaway' are very dramatic, and show that Kelly has a very melodramatic personality at heart, however this kind of attitude creates powerful love songs from the talented Kelly Clarkson. 'Breakaway', 'Because Of You', 'Behind These Hazel Eyes', and 'Since U Been Gone' are the most well known singles from this album Breakaway released in 2005. However there are a couple of 'happy' songs on the album including 'Breakaway', which is about breaking away and reaching out into your dreams, an also 'Walk Away' which is about happily walking away from a relationship, so Kelly can show a positive and happier side of herself. 'Since U Been Gone' has a very rocky sound to it due to the heavy guitar playing especially in the chorus, and some of her other songs including 'Behind These Hazel Eyes' also have a rocky sound to them, so I would put this album in the Rock/Pop genre instead of just pop. This is a highly recommended album for anybody looking for a truly romantic and true CD with meaning.
