New York, New York so good they named it twice! Well it was for me last Christmas, I spent a long weekend that seemed far too short, and can’t wait to go back .its not just the shopping it’s the whole experience the going for a coffee and a burger at 4.am yes nobody sleeps especially not me jet lag and all , The place just thrives it smells great sounds great tastes great I have been to most European city’s and none comes close to the buzz I got from there , it almost felt that I belonged there if anyone belongs there with such a mass of ethnic influences is there a native New Yorker ? Perhaps its all the comic books I read or that you will recognize buildings from all the big films that we have been watching for years it feels like you are walking on a movie set , so don’t delay and book a break that you will never forget we stayed at the new Yorker hotel perfect position for your stay 481 eighth ave corner of 34th st opposite Maddison square garden just down from Macys the hotel has seen better days (the 40s) by the look of it there is gift sops, a bar, dinner (order the corned beef sandwich out of this world). And across the street McDonalds and star bucks who could want more..
Ok ok we know you want our money but do we have to splash out the answer is no not at these sites, top names galore Tommy hilfiger, Nike, Addidas, gap, Ralph Lauren, hang on a minute where is the British outlets? is it that we as shoppers buy up all the goods at the time they go to the shops like hot cakes or is it the fact that our British shops hate the idea of us getting a bargain frightened that we will not go into there high street shops again witch is so untrue yes these outlets are great for a bargain but only if you don’t mind getting styles going or gone out of fashion last seasons range, or the colour or size that just sell that little slower .to shop at these sites you can only go in not wanting anything special but be glad to find anything you can and don’t get upset if you cant find what you would like just keep going and rummage a lot there is usually something hiding, go enjoy drink designer coffee spend money and go again.
As im addicted to buying cloths im always looking for the best buys, and recently a gap discount outlet has opened in Ashford Kent, at first it was very good end of lines or last seasons styles as any gap shopper will know that there is not a lot of differences and as the cloths are of the finest quality they last, so every body is wearing some thing from last season. But now they have changed it by reducing the amount of discount given and some items i have purchased have gone back up in price. Back to the banana republic where is it, if the gap are trying to take over the country why haven’t they opened up any? it is more expensive but the styles are more adventurous and stylish.
