The Sainsbury's Basics 4 Slice Toaster is one of the best basic and economical toaster in the market. Although it doesn't win any points in terms of design and appearances, it does get the job done with no complicated settings and features. Great for anyone who just wants good ol' plain toast, and those who are on a budget. I'm still using this toaster from my college days and it's still working beautifully.
This toaster toasts 4 slices of bread at once and very quickly and browns evenly which makes it a handy toaster for feeding plenty of people at once. The toaster pops out toasts nicely and willingly, I haven't encounter any stuck toasts yet. It's bulit to able to toast thick slices of bread and I've been using this toaster to toast other types of pastry such as pita breads, crumpets and bagels as they fit in well into the toaster slot.
The toaster is slightly larger than normal toasters but it's not too heavy and it doesn't take up to much space. The exterior is insulated cool touch walls and it has a removable crumb tray for easy cleaning. It has a high lift function too, that allows easy retrieval if you're toasting smaller pieces of bread.
One of the things I love the most about Dr. Hauschka Lemon Body Wash is the scent. It's so natural and pure. Most of other body washes smells like synthetic chemicals trying to pass of as the real deal but with this body wash it's like your bathing with real lemons.
This body wash is for all skin types and soap-free. It uses high quality natural ingredients like shea butter and apricot kernel oil makes it suitable for those with sensitive skin, like me. After using this my skin feels so smooth and soft, unlike other brands with chemicals that makes my skin feels dry and squeeky. A good shower in the morning with this body wash perks me up, the natural scent is so invigorating and refreshing.
The only 2 downsides of this body wash are it's expensive (£10 per 150ml) and it doesn't lather up well. Anyone who is used to having a lather-y and bubbly body wash will be tempted to squeeze out more. Even though it doesn't lather up well it still cleans and washes well so there's no need to use to much body wash per shower.
I bought this steam iron because of the energy saving label. It comes with a 2m long cord so it's great if the electrical outlet is far away from your ironing station. The iron saves energy by only producing enough steam to get your clothes wrinkle free so there's no wasting energy to produce unneeded steam. When dealing with stubborn creases I push down harder at the handle and it sprays out more steam to get the job done. The iron heats up quickly, glides smoothly on fabric and the pointed tip has a steam spray for hard to reach areas like between the buttons.
It has a extra-large water tank that's easy to check the water levels and easy to refill. When ironing a large wash load I fill the water tank full and it makes the iron slightly heavy. With the extra weight I don't need to go through a crease over and over again and I get my ironing done quicker than usual.
This iron comes with a double active calc system that allows you to use hard water in it. It says the iron has pills to break down calc so you can flush away the calc scales easily. Personally I do not want to take the risk of using the hard tap water from my area. I may never get to experience how effective the calc removal system this iron has but better safe than sorry.
The only tiny gripe I have is that the handle is made of plasctic and it feels flimsy, makes me think twice when I'm pressing down for extra steam. Best handle with care.
I got it as a birthday present from my boyfriend. This is my first Apple device so I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to using this device and iTunes. To be honest I didn't like the fact I have to use iTunes and I can't just drag and drop my files into it.
The iPod Touch 4G uses Retina Display and it's sharp and clear with vibrant colours and it's super fast and fluid. Scrolling through apps is a breeze without any lags and apps run and load quickly. I love the the multi touch screen that allows pinching to zoom in and out of the screen.
There's tons of songs that you can download and it has a great interface for you to easily sort through the full-color album or song covers. This device is great at streaming video and it streams very fast. With the beautiful screen display and huge space (32GB) you can store plenty of videos to watch when you're on the go.
The internet connection is also very fast and finding wi-fi connections is very easy but remember to turn off wi-fi if you're not using it because it drains your battery like no tomorrow. Many of the internet apps are free. Although the size is too small for me but it's possible to read Kindle books with the Kindle app and other e-books with the iPod Touch. You have to squint or just adjust the text size if it is too small for you but for me I prefer to read e-books with something that has a larger screen.
There's plenty of great apps and games offered and plenty of them are free so you'll never run out of fun games and apps to download. I went crazy the first day I got it and had a downloading spree of games. I would advice that when playing games the battery life goes down really fast so it's best to bring your charger along if you're a game junkie. The battery holds up pretty good if you're just listening or browsing the internet and doing other light tasks.
I bought this laptop last year when I was still in college. It's suitable for college students because it's cheap and it's good for doing coursework. I've since changed my laptop but I still have it around as a back up laptop.
The body doesn't feel very solid and sturdy as it's made of plastic. It weights 2.5kg and gave me quite a workout as I have to carry it around campus for work everyday. Comes with 3 USB ports.
It has a full size keyboard that I love because I'm used to using a desktop keyboard. It's pleasant to use but don't expect top notch typing experience as it's made of plastic too.
The speakers are disappointing and the sounds are muffled and distorted on high volume. I got myself a pair of good headphones instead.
The screen is clear and great for watching HD movies but sadly if you watch it from the side you can't see much. Using this laptop outdoors on a clear sunny day is a huge pain, the screen is extremely reflective! It's like looking at a mirror instead of a laptop screen.
The battery life is disappointing and only lasted around 3 hours of light usage. Best to bring your charger along if you're out for a long time.
Most of the time I'm using Microsoft Office for my coursework or for browsing the web and listening to music so it' smooth and fast. This laptop is a pleasure to use as long as it's use for undemanding tasks. To be honest it's only good for light use, I tried running The Sims 2 and it was abysmally slow and heated up very fast and hot. This is not built for heavy software usage and definately not for hard core games, except for web browser games or older, less demanding games.
