I was really skeptical before giving this shampoo a try, because all though enjoying immensely to eat forest picked blueberries, could blueberries in the shampoo really be a good thing? Or would it perhaps be too weird?
I was very afraid that the blueberry scent would come off sickening and fake, but it really didn`t, as it came off smelling very naturally of real forest blueberries, lovely! So I didn`t hesitate in trying this in my hair, and when drying my hair after showering, I noticed that my hair felt really nice and refreshed, and when dry, amazingly soft and shining, I was very pleasantly surprised! I don`t really have problems with dry or greasy hair, but I still like a shampoo that gives my hair a lot of nurture and nutrition, making it look very shining and soft! The Alberto brand bottles can be bought for only one pound each at most stores such as supedrug and boots, and I am really pleased with this blueberry version, smelling lovely of fresh and sweet blueberries! Some shampoos tend to smell too sweet, but this really didn`t, and I would recommend it, as it foams nicely and has as light and still thick texture!
A great and refreshing shampoo, leaving your hair smelling nice and refreshed!
Isn`t it odd that the ver best exercise and the very worst excerise mat I`ve ever owned comes from the same store...? Well, this is the best one, and a real good bargain it is! ¨
I only paid seven pounds for this exercise mat, and I didn`t really expect much, as the last exercise mat I had bought from Argos was one hundred percent lousy! But this exercise mat turned out to be really good in every way, it`s very thick and very comfortable to use, and when I do my sit-ups, I have no problem exercising for a long time, the comfort to my back and neck really is good! And where many other exercise mats slip and slide across your floor, this mat stays in one spot, and deserves a lot of praise for that! The mat comes in a bright blue color and looks really fancy and nice, not at all revealing the low cost of it... After use, I simply roll it back together and store it under my bed, and so far, it hasn`t collected too much dust...
Some might find it lacking comfort, but I found it to be very comfortable for me, I guess it depends upon the body and what one use this mat for... For seven pounds I really found this to be a good buy and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good and cheap exercise mat!
Oh, the childhood memories arriving just by looking at this magnificent egg, it truly is wonderful! I loved the taste of the Kinder Surprise as a child, and thing is, I still adore it as one of my favorite chocolates, nearly twenty years after first tasting it! The Kinder Surprise is a great tasting chocolate egg with creamy milk chocolate and white chocolate, inside of the egg hiding a surprise, but what can it be, that`s the real question!
I cannot understand why so many people have given this legendary children`s treat such a low rating, it almost breaks my heart! Perhaps it`s the insanely high number of calories hiding in just one egg, 425 calories certainly is extremely a lot, but once in a while, isn`t that ok? Some might find the taste of the Kinder Surprise a bit too sweet, but I find it a perfect balance between white chocolate and milk chocolate, a very creamy combination that almost melts on your tongue! The cost of this treat vary from store to store, I have seen it costing quite a lot and then very cheap, but the cheapest offer at the moment is the Cooperative selling one Kinder Surprise for five p, a very good bargain, but how long will it last?
Inside of this egg, there will hide a yellow container, filled with a toy... And here`s the thing; the toy isn`t always suitable for the youngest of children as it might contain small parts, so be careful and open this container first if the child is very young... The Kinder Surprise gives you great chocolate and a nice little toy, this is a treat that will never go out of style!
This is not the tent you want if you`re planning on walking across the North Pole or taking a stroll up Mount Everest, but this is a really great bargain for that people who enjoy camping in the back yard, going to music festivals or that have children who enjoy the many funs of playing and having sleep overs in a tent... This tent from Argos doesn`t cost more than 12.99 pounds, and that is a really fair price, as my experience is that this tent really did have some quality hidden behind the low price tag!
This tent is a light weight, super easy and comfortable to carry and transport, as it comes with a little and practical bag, and what`s even better, the instruction book easily informs you on how to set it up, because let`s face it, that can be tricky for most of us! After having set it up, I realized that it wasn`t the biggest tent in the world, but it can easily fit a group of four to five! I also took notice in how nice and modern the tent looked, with a dark color scheme, looking in every way more expensive than the true cost of it... This tent does a pretty good job of keeping its guests dry and warm, but I wouldn`t use it in very cold weather, as it`s not a superb quality tent, and one is likely to get cold come night time... But I have used this tent during cold autumn weather, both wind and rain, and it has kept us dry and comfortable! This is a great tent for families with children, students going to the next Roskilde festival or for people loving to camp in the back yard...
I would recommend this tent, it`s low priced and of surprisingly good quality!
Sadly, this perfume bottle wins a competition that is anything but flattering, as this is the most disgusting, ugly, off putting and tragic looking bottle of perfume I have ever seen, making you not want to try on the fragrance at all, which kind of makes it a hard sell... The design of this bottle is just dreadful, looking so cheap and tacky that it doesn`t help to throw names like Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier around, this just doesn`t work! But wait a minute, what about the fragrance itself, is there still hope?
I won this fragrance at a competition in a magazine some months ago, and I can swear to you that I would never have bought it by myself, as mentioned the bottle looks just awful, with that dreadful pink colour and those tacky tattoos... Well, sadly, the perfume itself isn`t that much better, as the fragrance comes off smelling very fake and sweet, not at all a classy and lovely perfume whatsoever! At first sniff, the perfume has a very tropical and fruity feel to it, with some grapefruit and perhaps peach, then the arrival of vanilla pops up, and it becomes utterly sickening and very off putting... After having sprayed it onto my skin, it lasted only two hours before needing another go, but hey, that was fine with me, as I really loaded the smell of it and wanted it to go away as fast as possible! The scent is sickening and tries way too much, and with that ugly bottle to pair up with, this bottle of perfume will never be purchased by me, it was utterly dreadful! You pay a little under ten pounds for a 7.5 ml bottle, so it`s not that expensive, but why should it be, as it`s so dreadful in every way? This is a tacky, way too sweet perfume, I recommend to stay clear of it!
A very good quality vacuum cleaner for just 15 pounds? Is that even possible? Turns out, it is, and this Argos Value Vacuum Cleaner is a really good bargain, costing little, but not holding off on the quality!
I decided to go for this buy because of two reasons; it was very cheap and the size appealed to me, as it`s very small and therefore practical and most likely easy to use and manuever... This is a 1.5 liters capacity vacuum cleaner, which isn`t a lot, but for every day use it should be enough... You can use this vacuum cleaner at most surfaces, I have used mine on wooden floors, bathroom and kitchen floors, on furniture and on the veranda, it really does the job easily and efficient, the job goes by fast and I`m impressed by how quickly it gets the job done! I was actually surprised, because it is after all only a 1200 watt vacuum cleaner, but non the less, it works fast and cleans well! On top of that, it `s really easy to use, you just use the foot pedal to switch it on and off and that`s it! When it comes to noise, this worried me a bit before starting to use it, as my other vacuum cleaner made quite a lot of noise, and this became very irritating after a while... But this vacuum cleaner isn`t at all noisy, a bit of course, but not so much that it becomes a problem!
This vacuum cleaner appears to be very solid and sturdy, and when needing a clean up, I just run over it with a wet towel, as the surface is very easy to clean!
All in all, this vacuum cleaner from Argos is a great buy, giving you a lot of product for a little cost!
For a long while, I didn`t enjoy sycling at all, I actually loaded it, probably because I remember falling again and again when my father tried to learn me how to sycle when I was a young girl, luckily, I did learn it in time! I bought this bicycle pump because it was very cheap and looked of good quality, so I thought it wasn`t much of a risk giving it a try...
I do love me some Argos, because more often than not the products I buy there are very affordable, yet of very good quality, which always puts a smile on my face! However, when first trying to use this bicycle pump, it was clear to me that I was going to be disappointed, and for several reasons! First of all, it took forever, and I mean forever and ever to pump the air into the tyres, I actually became a little impatient towards the end, and that`s not like me... Apart from taking a very long time, I also found the pump difficult to manuever and use, it just didn`t go smooth and easy, it felt very unpractical and didn`t offer a quick, easy and good working sollution. The biggest disadvantage is by far the fact that it took ages to pump air into the tyres, and being difficult to attach to the tyres, difficult to manuever and not really up for the job, I have to say that I wouldn`t recommend you buy this at all, instead go for a more expensive and higher quality option!
Two out of five stars!
It really puzzles me why more people don`t give this splendid and fun exercise form a try, as it`s a great way of getting your pulse high, burn of some of those calories, tighten your ankles and legs and when it comes down to it, have some great fun! I bought this skipping rope at Argos costing only two pounds, and that was certainly a great bargain, as I cannot really see the difference between this skipping rope and those skipping ropes costing a well over ten to fifteen pounds!
First of all, the skipping rope looks nice with a dark grey color, the design makes it look much more expensive that it is! When I first started using this skipping rope, I took notice in how light it felt, it really was fun to use, and it didn`t feel heavy in the hands or for the arms, which was a big plus for me! Grasping around the handles feels very comfortable and doesn`t cause any pain or discomfort, and it swings nicely and rapidly over your body, making it easy and very fun to use! After now having used it for several months, moving up to more than a year, I must say that I am pleased to see that it`s still good as new, the quality is ver solid and obviously long lasting, allowing me to say that this was a great bargain and a purchase I would do again, as it looks and functions just as good today as when I bought it, allowing me to skip as much as I like, probably looking like a fool while doing so, but hey, who cares?
So why don`t spend two pounds and try skipping, it`s nostalgic, fun and really good for your health and body! I`m no expert or professional yet, but I plan on getting better at this, and with this rope, I will skip long into the future...
If you plan to go somewhat professional and utterly serious about your hiking and mountain enjoyment, this rucksack mountaineer would be a perfect, yet expensive choice, as it`s very comfortable to wear, holds a capacity of 80 liters and can be adjusted to fit both men and women, a rucksack that you can bring with you on a "normal" hiking trip or tackling the Kilimanjaro...
This is a rucksack you choose if you need a light weight rucksack that still allows you to carry a maximum of eighty liters, as most other rucksacks doesn`t allow that without weighing a lot themselves... This rucksack has one eighty liters main compartment, and there`s external pocket found on the lid of the rucsack, while you also find smaller and very practical pockets on the inside of the product. As mentioned, this product allows you to adjust it to your body shape so that it will fit you perfectly and feel comfortable while wearing it, and the chest strap across your chest is wide and well padded, avoiding irritation on the skin and other discomfort.
I would say that this is a rucksack you only invest in if you`re very serious about your mountain and nature enjoyment, as this is a very expensive product, created to suit those wanting to experience the most of nature, both in beautiful and often extreme manners, this rucksack a companion in rain as well as snow, a very good product that deserves a lot of praise, and all though costing a well over 100 pounds, this is a investment, and a good one! Now, I was so very lucky as to win this product in a competition some time ago, and I cannot guarantee that the price wouldn`t scare me from purchasing this product, but I do surely find it a very good rucksack, well worth the recommendation...
What first appealed to me when taking a glance at these hiking boots, was they`re lovely dark grey colour, the design simple and classic, yet somehow looking modern and very stylish, I really enjoyed the look of them! Now, I also knew that Berghaus was a brand I could trust in terms of high quality, therefore I didn`t hesitate in spending eighty pounds for this pair, which I have not regretted, as these are superb quality hiking shoes, and has allowed my feet to feel supported and comfortable while walking, both on asphalt, grass, in the forest, in mountain terrain and on small stones...
These are high quality Gore Tex shoes, therefore they keep your feet very dry and warm while wearing them, they have protected my feet from wind, rain and mud, and during summer, they somehow manage to keep my feet feeling refreshed and not too warm and sweaty! These shoes are very well padded, wearing them feels very supportive and soft, they`re shape allows for your foot and ankle to be very stable, yet movable, and the insides of the shoes are well protected and padded, making these shoes suitable for long hikes and walks, as I often go on walks that can last for several hours, and therefore are in need of shoes that will keep my feet painless, comfortable, warm and dry...
I am very pleased with these hiking shoes from Berghaus, and would without hesitation recommend them to any women looking for a good pair of hiking shoes!
This gigantic version of the Caramel Swirl in the Nestle Quality selection proves that good things often come in smaller packages, as this big version of the caramel swirl isn`t half as good as the original sized one, in fact, I found it be way too sweet and rather intense, at the end, it ended up somewhat sickening!
I really do enjoy the Quality Street Selection of chocolates, they are a standard indulgance come every Christmas, so when I stumbled upon this funny and original giant chocolate, I had to give it a try, seeing as it only costed five p, it wasn`t really something I had to think a lot about... The caramel swirl is a chocolate filled with creamy and smooth caramel, with a sweet and lovely taste, however, I found the caramel in this version to be sweeter than the original, and I didn`t really go crazy for the chocolate either... So unless you`re a big fan of the Caramel Swirl and you are absolutely convinced that you will love this giant version, I struggle to recommend it at all! Too sweet, too big!
I utterly love and adore the original After Eight thins, they are truly one of the most delicious treats I know of! So when I stumbled upon this new addition to the After Eight family at Sainsbury`s, I decided to give it a try!
So, to say it straight out; I didn`t enjoy this After Eight bar... I do believe it can be explained by the fact that it becomes too thick, it lacks that thin and melty function of the After Eight original thins, as they are so thin and delicious, this version just lacks that! I love mint a lot, and the mint in the original After Eight is to die for, but in this version, I found the texture to be way too runny, it should be a bit thicker, and all though it tasted more or less the same as the original After Eight mint, I didn`t like the texture of it, and to add to the misery, there`s something off with the chocolate as well, like there`s a taste to the dark chocolate that isn`t supposed to be there... And to make matters even worse, just a quarter of this bar contains of nearly one hundred calories, making it an unhealthy treat for sure, and it wasn`t even a treat I enjoyed eating!
My conclusion is that I`d much rather invest my money in the original box of After Eight thins, as they are so much better than this bar version! After Eight is truly a delicious indulgance, but in this case, it just didn`t work!
I had to check twice to make sure that the price tag only said that this kettle from Argos costed five pounds, as I found that to be insanely inexpensive for such a product, the kettle looking much more "expensive" than what it really is! This is a cordless, very easy to use and practical kettle, and you can boil a capacity of 1.7 liters of water in this kettle, when full taking about four to five minutes to boil the water. This is in every way a great kettle that I would recommend without hesitation, as it`s cheap and does the basic job without hassle!
I drink a lot of coffee and tea during the day, so I decided that I would need one of these standing on my work desk, and I have not regretted it, as this was a complete bargain, boiling the water fast and easy, as this kettle is absolutely easy to use and has proved itself to be very reliable! To make matters better, this kettle is anything but noisy, as I half expected it to make a lot of noise, but it doesn`t! The kettle switches off automatically, making it safe, and it runs from a 2.2 kW, making it efficient, so all in all, this is a very good kettle! When taking a look at the kettle, I noticed just how nice it looks, perhaps not the most modern, but still very nice and classic looking, at least good looking for five pounds!
This is a very affordable and high quality kettle from Argos, well worth the money and then some!
I was on the look for a fresh and light perfume to last me trough the months of summer, and with this fragrance from Gucci, that was exactly what I got! This is a very flowery and fruity fragrance, light and feminine, perfect for those summer nights or autumn evenings, all though costing quite a bit, still a wonderful fragrance that I have used as a gift to many of my girlfriends!
A 30 ml bottle of this perfume costs as much as 35.00, but the perfume has an amazing staying power and will last you for a long time, and besides, the scent is absolutely to die for! This is without question a very light and subtle perfume, not in any way intense or too sensual, it has a light flowery scent with a base of citrus fruits, the scent of pink pepper and sandalwood shining through after a while on your skin, one of the first scents noticed however the scent of rose, either yellow or red... When having sprayed this onto your skin, it will last and linger nicely for about six hours, so I do often bring it with me in my purse in order to freshen up come evening, but I am really impressed with how lovely it remains during the day, it remains fresh and lovely, without ever becoming too much or too little!
You can buy this perfume at most stores, such as amazon, boots or Perfume Plus Direct, and all though costing quite a bit, you might be lucky and stumble upon an offer, an offer you simply can`t refuse! A lovely perfume!
Just taking a look at this mini fridge, it reminds me of my first years as a student, where I had a fridge so small you could barely fit a milk carton and a pack of eggs into it... Now, I am lucky to own a much larger fridge at home, but I still ended up falling a little bit in love with this mini fridge from Argos, using it frequently for when going camping, or as a nice little gadget next to me at work, perfect for storing bottles of water, bowls of fruit and so on...
This fridge has a capacity of six liters, in other words, it`s small as can be, but it works well and keeps all types of food very cold and well stored, actually I was pleasantly surprised to see just how cold the food gets, it`s great! Naturally, this isn`t a fridge to use for your everyday use, but for teenagers wanting a little fridge or for your camping trip, this is a great and budget friendly addition! I also found the exterior and interior of the fridge very easy and quick to clean, and all though the door is not a magnetic surface, something I noticed trying to put up some of my favourite magnets, I still think this is a very good purchase, a good quality fridge for a low cost! I paid 25 pounds for this fridge, a very fair price, and with the biggest disadvantage being that it does create quite a high level of noise, I would say this to be a great buy and a very good mini fridge!
