Handy for the A5 passing traffic... but only if you are desperate!

Cannock is blessed with a difficult choice of three McDonalds. Having dinned at many MD's around the world, including this one on four occasions, I can say with some qualification that with out doubt this one is a real stinker. The first time I dinned here I got corduroy under pants, so I waited a full year before returning hoping for an improvement. The second time I escaped the dreaded brown over shoes, but was dismayed by the over flowing sanitary ware in the gentleman's convenience. On a subsequent visit two weeks later, the writer found the WC floors still awash with what can only be politely described as a mixture of liquid substances. Once again I suffered the dreaded 'deli belly' and can only attribute it to the total lack of hygiene in this insalubrious establishment. Last summer I returned desperate and very hungry gagging for big mac. I stood patiently and dutifully in the queue when I suddenly became aware that blue bottle's were also eyeing the menu. I turned and headed for the door, never to return. I kid you not.

Nice setting next to nature reserve, let down by low standards and bad management.

Mill Farm Carvery & Pub - Cannock, Staffs. Carvery & Pub Honoured guests think themselves grateful to sit amongst the elderly and geriatric cliental who gather in their clandestine hordes on week day lunch times. Sitting hunched and grey haired at tiny gooey tables, they giggle to them selves as they drool over their steamy food, thinking how much cheaper it is to eat here than at home. If ever you tire of parousing the constant flow of the elderly as they stagger from table to table, trying to remember which one is theirs, you can always indulge in a spot of fly swatting, for yes, even in the winter months there is always an abundant supply. The staff here are all recruited from the local schools performing work experience duties, so cliental can be sure they are fully trained in all aspects of service and hygiene ;) However its worth mentioning that on the day we visited, the part time dishwasher was absent... and so the chef was serving on the previous days filthy porcelain! The cuisine here is amongst the best to be had in Cannock, only surpassed by the nearby McD's just a stones through in any direction, as this town is blessed with a difficult choice of three. I kid you not!
