'This little baby' book was first given to me by my sister in law when my kid was 8 months old.
This book is a small board book with fourteen pages aimed for babies and children. This book is published by Campbell books.
The front cover of the book has a black and white picture of a charming baby smiling and above the baby picture is the title of the book 'This Little Baby' written in different colours. Inside the book - One side of the page is colourful and has text written and the next side contains black and white pictures of babies.
My kid is three now and he still likes this book. The first picture is of a baby lying down in a blanket and the text mentions that the little one says Hello. My kid immediately wishes Hello to the baby picture. The second page has a picture of a baby crawling and the text mentions the little one is ready to go. The third page has a picture of a grown up baby who plays with his toy car. The next page has the picture of a baby crying. My kid understands that the baby is crying and says to the baby picture 'dont be sad its al right'. The next page has the picture of a baby lying down and my kid understands that the baby is happy and is taking rest.
The last page is the one my kid is excited about as it has a small mirror and he sees himself in the mirror and i read out the text which says 'this little baby is the one i love best'and we have a cuddle which is the happy ending of this book.
Babies and toddlers can relate and interact with the different pictures very well. They will definitely be excited to see themselves in the mirror.
The book is of good quality and will last long. As this is a board book, babies and toddlers can easily turn the pages. The book will not get damaged by babies who fancy to chew its pages or to toddlers who will want to tear its pages.
Original cost of the book is £3.99 but currently the book costs £3.09 in Amazon.
A must have book. Recommended!
I have been using Spontex scourers since a long time to remove tough stains. These are very efficient and help us remove tough stains within seconds.
The scourers are ball shaped and are made from recycled steel. The scourers are made of tiny wired steel wound around. This is of amazing quality as I have been using spontex scourers since a long time and it has not formed any rust or has become blunt or less efficient in its performance of removing tough stains. On continuous usage the scourers can loosen but don't break or pop out steel wires which make them last for ages.
The scourers though are soft to touch the wired steel is sharp and hence while cleaning it is recommended to use hand gloves. I usually don't wear gloves and once when I tried to remove a string of the scourers which was stuck in the tap I got a small cut in my finger. The steel wires are indeed sharp and hence we have to be careful while using them.
The scourers can be used with a cleaning liquid. While cleaning the scourers gets food particles or dirt filled in them but we can easily clean the scourers by putting it under the tap water and it comes out clean.
These scourers are designed to be used on tough stains and hence these should not be used on delicate surfaces like non stick pans, plastic bathroom suites or tiles.
A pack of four spontex scourers cost £1.65. These are worth every penny and last very long.
Dove is a cleansing bar owned by Unilever. The soap contains 25% moisturising lotion that improves the condition of skin leaving it feeling softer and smoother.
We were first introduced with this soap when my sister's Doctor recommended Dove cream bar as she used to suffer from dry skin. My sister had good results after using this soap regularly. We use this soap daily in our house hold. I have recently started using this soap for my kid who is nearly four now and I am quite satisfied as it makes his skin not only clean but soft too.
The soap is white bar with picture of dove shaped on it and has a mild pleasant fragrance. The soap is so smooth that it often slips of from hand. The soap builds good lather and rinses properly. The skin does not become dry after shower and we can feel the softness of our skin. Though the soap is not substitute for moisturiser it helps our skin from becoming dry as it happens with some brands of soap.
A 100 gm dove bar costs 53p and a packet of four 100gm bars
cost 1.99 in Tesco. I often buy packet of four bars as we use these regularly and I can save 13p on it. The soap is of good quality, thick and creamy and does last long and I believe the price is worth it.
We will continue to use dove bar and I recommend it.

I recently received Lindt Lindor truffles as a gift from our friends as they came to visit us. These are chocolate truffles with a smooth melting centre. The chocolate are ball shaped and are individually wrapped with Lindt Lindor label on each of them.
A 200gm packet contains total 16 chocolates of four varieties. The four varieties are Milk, Extra dark, Hazelnut and white chocolate truffles.
Milk/Lait/Leche: It is a plain Creamy milk chocolate. The outer chocolate is solid and in the centre is a generous filling of smooth milk chocolate which melts in the mouth. This is a quality chocolate wrapped in red and chocolate colour wrapper.
Extra dark/extra Noir/ Extra Negro: It is a plain creamy dark chocolate. The outer chocolate is solid dark chocolate with a soft dark chocolate in the centre which readily melts in the mouth. The dark chocolate tastes delicious and is not too bitter. This chocolate contains 60% Cocoa solids. It is wrapped in black colour wrapper.
Hazelnut/Noisettes/Avellanas: Milk chocolate filled with soft hazelnut bits on the chocolate shell and has a smooth chocolate centre. It is an irresistible nutty chocolate. It is wrapped in brown colour wrapper.
White/Blanc/Blanco: The chocolate is a solid white chocolate shell which has a soft creamy white chocolate in the centre. The chocolate is rich creamy and milky. It is wrapped in white and gold colour wrapper. This is my favourite variety and is incredibly of good quality.
These are irresistible delicious chocolates. These are good treat during occasions.
When it comes to cleaning products for household purpose I always prefer to buy branded ones as I don't want to fall into the hassle of putting lot of energy and time in cleaning. I have been using Mr Muscle kitchen lemon fresh since more than a year and it had always given satisfactory cleaning with no hassle.
The one I bought recently is orange plastic container with trigger spray nozzle .It has an end cap which can be turned ON and OFF. The end cap is labelled as ON and OFF so there is no confusion while using it. It is very nice to hold and use. We can turn the end cap ON and spray the liquid on the surface by pressing the trigger. The liquid gets evenly sprayed on the surface. The liquid is visible through the bottle which helps us know how much liquid is left.
The liquid is antibacterial and is intended for tough cleaning and also it is capable of killing H1N1 Virus. Though the liquid is said to be lemon fresh I don't feel it has actually got the lemon scent. It contains some weird smell which is not lovely but also not over powering. If possible it is better to use the ventilation so that the smell gets off quickly.
I usually spray the liquid on the greasy surface and let it there for five minutes. Then it becomes easy to rub it off with a sponge scourer. I clean my kitchen top which has tiles and once dried the kitchen top becomes shiny. The liquid does not leave any kind of marks behind it. I have wooden flooring in my house and the floor area near the kitchen hob became greasy absorbing the dirt with it. I sprayed Mr Muscle lemon fresh liquid and I observed the dirt easily came of. It is surprising to see this liquid making our cleaning tasks so easy. As it is also antibacterial liquid we get protection from germs also.
For tough stains it is better to spray the liquid and leave it for some time. Later it becomes easy to clean. This cleaning liquid is recommended to use on cooker tops, sink and tiles and work surfaces. This should not be used on gold plated toppings.
This is a very effective cleaning liquid for household purpose and I definitely recommend it.
I have been buying Danone Actimel yogurts with the purpose of buying something healthy for my husband's lunch pack.
Actimel is a probiotic yogurt drink available in different fruit flavours and some fat free versions. A culture called L. Casei Danone is added to Actimel yogurts and the presence of this culture helps strengthen our body's natural defences.
The yogurt comes in a 100 ml plastic bottle and is closed with an aluminium foil. The multi fruit flavour yogurt bottle has a two small pictures of half cut orange, peach, a piece of pine apple and strawberry fruit in the bottom of the bottle. These are the fruit's juices being used in this flavour. On drinking I can feel a mild taste of peach and orange. I really cannot get the pine apple and straw berry flavour. This yogurt is too sweet for me and it dominates the fruit flavour. I hope it gives us a good combination of these fruit flavours and not the over whelming sweet taste.
The yogurt is cream in colour. It is not thick or too watery and does not fill our hunger though it contains 77 calories per 100 ml bottle. There are no fruit bits in this yogurt drink. It is advised to drink in the morning so that it can be more effective. Actimel should be stored in the refrigerator at below +6'C.
This yogurt is suitable for vegetarians and for whole family from age 3.
Ingredients used are Yogurt, Skimmed milk, Sugar/Liquid sugar (sucrose 9%), Fruit juices from concentrates 2.1% (pineapple, peach, orange, strawberry), Dextrose, stabilisers, L.casei Danone culture (Lactobacillus casei DN 114001), Vitamin B6.
The plastic bottles can be recycled just like milk bottles and the cardboard carton holding the plastic bottles can be recycled too. Only the lid made from aluminium foil is not recyclable.
If you are looking for healthy yogurt and don't mind the mild fruit flavour and sweet taste then multi fruit flavour Actimel might be for you.
When I switched formula milk to cow's milk for my kid, I had been looking for nutritional powders that would add some nutrition to my kid's milk. I came across Horlicks in Tesco and on reading the nutritional information I readily bought it. Horlicks is my child hood drink and my sister and I would snoop in the bottle as we enjoyed eating the tasty Horlicks powder itself.
Horlicks is the name of a company of a malted milk hot drink, which is claimed to promote sleep when consumed at bedtime. Horlicks is a nutritional drink made from wheat, milk and malted barley and is sold in powdered form. Horlicks is available in Original, Light, Extra Light, Malt Chocolate, Vanilla flavours. Horlicks can be enjoyed by children and adults.
I bought a Horlicks refill bag of 500gm and it currently costs £2.09 in Tesco. Horlicks original comes in a plastic tub with flip top. The tub is blue in colour with a picture of a fluffy cloud and crescent moon face sleeping. It seems they want to signify that the powder helps to promote sleep though my kid never felt sleepy after drinking it. It would have been nice if the claim was true because kid's bed time would not have been trouble for parents at all.
Preparation method is provided on the packet. Initially the Horlicks powder should be made into a smooth paste with a little water and then milk should be poured. If we directly mix powder and milk soft thick lumps will be formed in the base of the cup and the powder will not mix well with milk no matter how well we stir it later.
The drink when mixed with milk becomes light creamy colour and due to stirring foam is formed on the top which makes it look creamy and delicious. I don't add sugar as the powder itself is sweet and the sweetness in the drink is just right for my kid. While preparing this drink I often put a spoon of the powder in my mouth (my child hood habit!! hard to go!). I prepare this drink using whole milk and the drink becomes more creamy and nutritious for my child. We can add hot water instead of milk if you don't like milk or are conscious of the calories.
Ingredients used are: wheat flour, Malted Barley(15%), Dried whey, sugar, caclcium carbonate, Vegetable fat, Dried skimmed milk, salt, Vitamins(C, Niacin, E, Pantothenic Acid, B6, B2, B1,Folic acid, A, Biotin, D,B12), Ferric Pyrophosphate, Zinc Oxide.
The Horlicks powder is caffeine free. There are no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners used. This is suitable for vegetarians.
THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FOR BABIES UNDER ONE YEAR.
This is a healthy drink and gives some nutrition to your diet.
We received a box of Thornton's premium collection chocolates last weekend from our friends. The box contains an impressive range of 12 types of chocolates. There are total 17 chocolates some being duplicates. The box has a selection of creamy truffles, smooth pralines and light mousse covered in milk, dark and white chocolate.
The box is brick red colour. The label 'Thorntons' is nicely written in a shiny golden colour and just below is mentioned 'the Art of the chocolatier. 'Premium collection 'is mentioned on the box and there is picture of chocolates beside it which gives us the look of chocolates inside it. The box has a band attached to it which has the menu information about the twelve types of chocolates inside it.
Heavenly hazelnut: This is a great tasting variety which contains two smooth pralines topped with a layer of roasted hazelnuts and is coated with milk chocolate. The chocolate is smooth and delicious. The hazelnuts are small bits which are not crunchy and while tasting these we can completely enjoy the smooth chocolate.
Citrus truffle: According to menu this is a smooth tangy orange truffle with crispy wafer pieces encased in a sleek milk chocolate heart. This is the only chocolate which is wrapped in a foil and 'Thorntons' is written on it. It is of heart shape and is kept in the centre of the box. The filling is rich and creamy and the hint of orange can be felt in the chocolate. I personally did not like the combination of orange and chocolate flavour.
Framboise Ganache: The menu says the chocolate contains raspberry liqueur and double cream ganache (ganache is a glaze, icing, or filling for pastries made from chocolate and cream) dipped in plain chocolate and feathered with white chocolate. Personally I don't like fruit liqueur flavour chocolates and hence I did not like this one but I have to mention that the fruit flavour was not strong.
Dual layered praline: The menu says it has a layer of white and milk praline and smothered them in milk chocolate. The chocolate contains a thin layer of white chocolate so its individual taste cannot be felt. The chocolate is smooth and fluffy and has light texture.
Cafe latte: The menu says it is made of roasted coffee and cream whipped into a light mousse encased in white chocolate and sprinkled with ground coffee. The white chocolate is delicious and solid. It holds the smooth creamy mousse which tastes like a sweet mild coffee. The white chocolate and the the mild coffee flavoured mousse together taste delicious. The chocolate looks beautiful and tastes great.
Triple chocolate mousse: The menu says it is a truly indulgent chocolate mousse double coated in milk chocolate and finished with a sprinkle of grated chocolate. This is a plain simple chocolate which is round and has a flat base. The outer coating is thick and of course not hard to bite. Inside is a chocolate mousse smooth and tasty.
Praline Noir: The menu says the chocolate is silky almond praline blended with golden Californian roasted almonds enclosed in a crisp dark shell. The outer chocolate shell is crispy and not bitter at all. The small pieces of almonds generously filled inside are crunchy and the combination tastes nice.
Amaretto truffle: The menu says 'A chocolate truffle laced with amaretto liqueur, covered with crisp amaretti biscuits and milk chocolate'. This chocolate has a unique and mild flavour.
Vanilla velvet: The menu says 'A delicate mousse with a hint of vanilla coated in white and dark chocolate'. I personally like vanilla flavour and this chocolate is my favourite in the box and these are two pieces in the box. The chocolate is smooth and creamy and I enjoyed it very much.
Dark champagne truffle: The menu says 'a rich and indulgent truffle made with fresh cream and champagne, enveloped in layers of velvety dark chocolate'. The chocolate has a dark shell which is crispy and not too bitter and is laced with milk chocolate. The inside of the chocolate is soft and creamy.
Chocolate Marquise: The menu says smooth praline with crepes topped with a light crème de cacao mousse and double coated in plain chocolate. This is another smooth and delicious chocolate.
Caramel divine: The menu says 'we've smothered this deliciously soft and creamy caramel truffle in a double layer of milk chocolate with ruffles of white chocolate'. Rich chocolate and tasty.
Overall I felt the mousse in the chocolates was fluffy, smooth and tasty. The white chocolate was rich, creamy and tasty. The dark chocolate was not too bitter and was crunchy which is the way I like. Hazel nuts were smooth and almonds were crunchy. The flavours used were not strong and the combination complimented well. Overall this is a box of tasty and good quality variety of chocolates.
This box is ideal to give as gifts and is a good treat during occasions.
I definitely recommend these for their good quality, taste and varieties.
I have been using 'Johnson and Johnson' products for my kid since he was born. In between I switched to supermarket own brand as they cost less. Recently I found Johnson baby shampoo of 300 ml for 97p in Wilkinson and I readily bought it for my kid.
The shampoo is specially designed for baby's hair. It is made of a gentle formulation which maintains hair's natural moisture without leaving any residue. Also it has 'no more tears' formula which makes this shampoo as mild as water for those little angel's eyes.
The shampoo comes in a clear plastic bottle with a yellow flip top lid which has a medium round hole for the shampoo to come out freely. The bottle is oval shaped at edges which make it handy to use during bathing the kid. The packaging is unique and eye catching. The brand name Johnson's and the label 'baby shampoo 'are written in big font and also there is an image of tear drop in red colour which states 'no tears formula'. On looking at the back side of the bottle we can view more details about the product through the transparent shampoo. The bottle is recyclable.
The shampoo is transparent yellow in colour and is thick which does not disperse when put on hand or directly on baby hair. This is a good thing as there is no chance of the shampoo directly flowing to the baby eyes. The shampoo lathers up quickly and cleans of easily when washed with water. My kid never felt any harm to his eyes when using the product. In fact he asks for one more time. After shower his hair becomes soft and clean and has the lovely smell of Johnson's scent.
This shampoo is a bit pricey than other brands but if we can get it on offer this is not a one to miss out.
I definitely recommend Johnson's baby shampoo and give it five dooyo stars
My son is 3 now and he very well knows wild animals. He sometimes pretends to be a Tiger or sometimes a Monkey or a Tortoise. Seeing his interest we planned to take him to zoo for the weekend day out.
On searching the internet we came across Marwell Wildlife and preferred to go here as the location was only 20 miles from our residence and the information given in the website was very impressive.
We booked our tickets online as we get 5% discount on our tickets.
There are two types of ticket prices one with donation and other without donation. We paid a total of £45.52 for me, my husband and our kid who is 39 months. Children less than three years can go free. Thought the prices are bit pricey the money will indeed go for the maintenance of Marwell Wildlife Park which is an action oriented conservation charity.
On entering the entrance we immediately got our tickets as we booked online and we can buy a guide for £3. I was very impressed with the variety of animals being taken care of. The animals had good roaming place available and the areas were clean and not smelly. We saw Tigers, Rhinoceros, Meerkats, tortoise, cheetah, Giraffe, Zebra, Colobus monkeys, Ostrich, swans, penguins. On seeing some animals I felt like some cartoon characters were coming to life like Meerkats, penguins which I have seen for the first time here. There are under water windows where we can see the penguins diving in the water and there is a sound system which replicates the sound of an ocean which makes the penguin area look more real.
There is a tropical area which resembles a tropical rain forest. It has a collection of tropical plants of exotic fruits and exotic flowers. There are animals like leaf cutter red ants securely placed in a glass box, butterflies, spider and many more. There are fish floating in a small pool of clear water which is fun to watch. There are poisonous frogs in an amazing green and black colour with red eyes. The information about these species is clearly mentioned there. This was a stunning experience for us.
There is a nice play area for kids which includes rope climbing, three slides, bridges and climbing frames. There are many benches around the play area where we can sit and relax or enjoy our snacks. I observed many people bringing packed lunches and snacks and enjoying in the open areas.
There the Ark Gift Shop which has lot of animal cuddle toys, children drink bottles and lot more. There is a cafe within the ark shop. There is a free bus which takes us around some places of the park. Also there is a train service which charges two pound per head. It takes around the park and is twenty minutes ride to and fro.
There is a 'what not to buy' shop which gives us information what animal products not to buy which includes animal skins etc.
Marwell wild life park are doing an excellent job by conserving various animals which are standing in the line of extinction. Any one interested in this wild life park can visit their website www.marwell.org.uk .
Overall it is a nice day out with kids which is both entertaining and educative for the kids and adults too.
Valued Opinions is a market research company that sends survey invitations through emails and pays money if we qualify and complete the survey.
I have been a member of valued opinions since eight months, and I have earned £25 till now. It took me 5 months to earn my first 10 pounds but surprisingly I earned my next 10 pound in two months. I have made 4.75 pound within a month for my next voucher.
Registering is easy and once we get registered we receive email invitations for taking surveys. I receive about five surveys per week. The problem is they screen out if our profile does not match to their survey requirement. They pay from 50p to £2 depending on the length of the survey. The email invitation subject line contains the survey number and the email contains the details about the survey like the category the survey belongs to, the estimated length of the survey, the date till the survey will be open and the amount we will be paid if we qualify and complete the survey.
As soon as we qualify and complete the survey we can see our valued opinion account updated with the money just earned with the survey number. The amount earned will be credited within 28 days. They mention that if we don't qualify for the surveys we will receive a free entry into their quarterly prize draw for £250. I had been disqualified from many of their surveys and had accumulated much entry's but in these eight months I have never won any prize in this category.
The website is very well laid out and easy to navigate and use. There is a section 'available surveys' which has the list of available surveys. Below this there is a section 'Rewards' which contains 'current award balance' which denotes the amount we have been credited and 'pending credits' which has a list of survey name with survey number and amount we have earned for each of these surveys.
There is a 'claim your reward' link provided in the Rewards section. On clicking this we can select a voucher if we have £10. A complete reward history is displayed with date credited since we became member.
Once we have earned £10 and this has been credited in our account we can request for a voucher and the voucher will be sent to our address which we have mentioned in their website within 28 days. When I first earned my £10 I requested for Tesco voucher which arrived within 32 days by post. They provide various options for vouchers which include Marriott, Amazon.co.uk, Tesco, John Lewis, HMV, Marks & Spencer, Boots, Argos, Waitrose Wine Direct, Ocado, Burton, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridges, Outfit, Topman, Topshop and Wallis.
The annoying thing about this survey site is it takes 28 days for each amount earned to credit into our account. So by the time we accumulate £10 to request for a voucher will take vey long.
This is a genuine site which pays its customers for the surveys they complete but it takes long time.
'Valued opinions 'is recommended for people who can regularly check their mails and have patience to wait for the money credited into their account.
After reading positive reviews and being recommended by my friend I started using DANONE Actimel yogurt drink. These are currently under promotional offer of two packs for £4 which means each bottle costs 25p. A single pack costs £2.40 and contains eight 100ml bottles. Actimel is suitable for everyone from age 3 upwards.
Actimel is a probiotic yogurt drink and is produced by the French company DANONE. Actimel contains 3 different cultures: Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus Bulgaricus (These two cultures can be found in other regular yogurts). The third culture is L. Casei Danone and its presence makes DANONE Actimel exclusive from other yogurts. The product claims that each 100ml bottle contains 10 billion exclusive L. Casei cultures most of which remain alive in our body along the entire length of our digestive tube, which help in strengthening the body's natural defenses when they have been weakened by various external causes.
How does actimel play its role in our body?
Intestine plays a very important role in keeping people healthy. It helps with
Digestion of food: the intestine is a filter which lets the right nutriments (elements that are essential for the correct function of our bodies) through that our body needs to live
Protection: it has to push away undesirable elements, such as harmful bacteria.
It is scientifically proven that in the intestine Actimel, with its L. casei defensis, helps strengthen our natural defenses:
- By helping fight harmful bacteria
- By accelerating renewal of the cells; these are elements that are essential for the correct function of our bodies.
Actimel is a tasty drinking yogurt and is available in flavors such as Blue berry, cherry, coconut, multi fruit, orange, original, raspberry, strawberry and vanilla. 0.1% Fat drinks are available in original, peach and mango, raspberry and strawberry flavors.
The yogurt drink comes in a 100ml plastic bottle and is closed with a rip off lid made from aluminium foil. The drink is creamy and not too thick or watery. It taste's like yogurt and for me it is a bit too sweet. It does not fill our hunger and can be enjoyed as a light snack. It is advised to drink in the morning so that it can be more effective. Actimel should be stored in the refrigerator at below +6'C.
The plastic bottles can be recycled just like milk bottles and the cardboard carton holding the plastic bottles can be recycled too. Only the lid made from aluminium foil is not recyclable.
Ingredients used in original flavor are Yogurt, Skimmed milk, Sugar/Liquid sugar (sucrose 7.3%), Dextrose, L.casei Danone culture (Lactobacillus casei DN 114001).
Nutritional value of 100ml Actimel original is: 72 cal which is 4% of adult GDA, 3g protein which is 7% Adult GDA, 10.5g carbohydrates (of which 10.5g sugars) which is 12% of Adult GDA, 1.6g fat which is 2% of adult GDA, 1.1g saturates which is 6% Adult GDA, 0.1 g salt which is 2% of Adult GDA.
A 100ml contains 0.21mg of vitamin B6 which is 15% RDA
A 0.1% fat original flavor contains only 28 calories which is 1% of adult GDA.
These are suitable for vegetarians and are gluten free.
Though I did not see any difference in my health I believe my immune system will get better and I am happy to recommend this product.
I some times buy Choc dips as a treat to my kid during my weekly groceries shopping. As my kid likes white chocolate I usually buy the white chocolate choc dips. They cost 55p in my corner shop. In super markets we can find these at lower prices on multi buys.
The product consists of biscuit sticks and chocolate spread. These come in a plastic 32 gm pot and the pot is covered with a peel off foil lid. The pot consists of two partitions one containing biscuit sticks and the other contains chocolate spread. The brown chocolate one comes in Blue colour pot and white chocolate one comes in pink colour. The packaging design for white chocolate consists of a white chocolate man holding a biscuit in his hand and the word 'white' is mentioned above the picture.
The biscuits are golden colour, thin and long. They taste sweet and are crunchy. The chocolate is soft and creamy. The biscuit can be easily dipped into chocolate and the chocolate sticks well to the biscuit. The combination tastes god and is fun for the kids to eat. My kid often runs out of chocolate. I wish they provided more chocolate.
Nutritional value per pack :171 calories which is 10% of child GDA, 10.9 gm sugars which is 13% of child GDA, 9.6 gm fat which is 14% of child GDA, 4gm saturates which is 20% child GDA and 0.3 gm salt which is 8% child GDA.
The pack information says these contain Milk, soya, wheat and gluten. May contain nuts and sesame seeds. These are suitable for vegetarians.
This is a good quality snack for kids and I give it four dooyoo stars.
I usually buy Tesco value products and stick to them if I am satisfied with the product. I usually buy hula hoops as an occasional snack for my kid but recently I bought Tesco value potato rings. Though my kid seemed to like the potato rings I am not satisfied and decided to switch back to hula hoops.
The Tesco value potato rings come in a multi pack of eight mini bags of 20gm each. These are found in the crisps section along with various brands of crisps. These are available in only salted flavour. A bag costs 83p which is quite less than hula hoops.
The packaging is quite basic but has all necessary design and details. The bag is made of plastic and is white in colour with 'Potato rings' mentioned in white on a Dark blue back ground which is eye catching. The label Tesco Value is mentioned on the top in red. The bag contains picture of potato rings which easily tells us the contents inside.
The potato rings are crunchy, a bit harder and more salty when compared to hula hoops. The first taste I can fell is salty and then the potato taste comes out slowly but after eating we will feel thirsty as the mouth becomes dry.
The packaging is good as the crisps stay fresh in the air tight bags. The bags are only half filled with potato rings, we cannot complain as this is the case with all brands.
Ingredients used are dried potato, potato starch, sunflower oil and salt. These are suitable for vegetarians.
Each 20 gm bag contains 95 calories which is 5% GDA, 3.6 gm fat which is 5% GDA; 0.4gm saturates which is 2% GDA, 0.4 gm salt which is 7% GDA and a trace of sugar.
If you want something crunchy and don't mind the salty taste this might be for you. Not bad when there is nothing else to eat in the house to satisfy our snack cravings.
I give this product three dooyo stars.
