I have used this since the first time my baby became ill around 3months and used it ever since. Like any baby they don't like the taste of anything new and spit it out, but now my daughters two, she loves the taste and asks for more once I have given the daily dose.
It is widely available from supermarket, department stores etc.. Like Asda for £2.96. It comes in a 100ml glass bottle with a child lock lid and you can get ones that have a free medicine spoon that measures 5ml on one side and 2.5ml on the other or the free syringe that measures upto 5ml, and you just stop at the amount you need, very easy to use. I think the syringe is useful when you have a young child that don't like to take the medicine and spoon for when they are a little older and willing to take the medicine or it can get very messy and sticky.
It contains 120mg/5ml paracetamol and the list of symptoms it can be used for are:
Cold and flu
Other aches and pains
You have to shake the bottle before every use, also keep the box it came in as it has the table on the side of the box showing you the amount of medicine to give up to four times a day for different age groups, then it suggests you go to doctors if you need to take the medicine more than 3 days in a row. And don't give any other medicine when taking this unless advised to-do so.
I think Calpol really does work and works fast. You need to keep to regular times to even out when to give the medicine until the symptoms have gone. At least 4 hours between doses.
I would definitely recommend using Calpol for treatment of symptoms listed
Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn My Pretty Learning Purse
I bought this for my daughter as a gift for Christmas when she was 1years old, bought from Argos, I think it was on offer for £13.99. Easily reserved online and picked up same day from local store. It is suitable from age 6 months plus.
Its very pink and girly has a smiley face on the front of bag, it has a button to switch it off or on to the abc mode where it tell you it's opening or closing the bag or music mode which plays different tunes, each time, and a let's play mode. Also you can press the heart on the bag and it will sing the abc song, which she likes to dance to because it lasts a bit longer than the tunes when just opening and closing the bag.
It comes with the 5 items in the picture, the phone that doesn't do anything just made from hard plastic and has little rattle sound, bracelet, bank card, key and mirror. All designed to fit in the bag together. She enjoys me putting them all in the bag then she can take them out, but once she has taken all 5 items out of the bag, my issue is the bottom of the bag which is made from hard plastic that's where the battery department and speaker is, but she always thinks it's something else to take out and gets very frustrated with it and starts getting upset, so for this reason I don't think it's the best of designs. I turn it inside out just to show her, she will understand one day. It takes 3 AAA sized batterys which are included and last a long time.
I bought this from Argos last summer for £34.99, I picked it up the same day I reserved it. It come's flat packed but very quick and easy to put together. It was for my Childs 2nd birthday because it is suitable from 18months plus, it's great fun for outdoors; I find it takes to much room up in my lounge to keep it inside. He found it very easy to climb the stairs and manage to sit down safely by holding onto the small handle bars at the side, which I thought could have been a little bigger, and enjoyed sliding down on his own. Also he enjoys putting his teddies, balls and cars down the slide and really enjoys himself for ages. One issue I find when using, my Childs shoes tend to stick and stop him from sliding properly, so need to wear shoes that won't stick or just socks.
I like how it folds for easy storage, as it will have to go in the garage, otherwise it would blow away in the wind, it weighs 3.7kg very light weight which makes it easy to carry. The size of the slide when unfolded is H77, W120, D39cm. It's made from a hard plastic that seems hard wearing and also comes with 1 year guarantee just in case.
Maximum number of users at one time is 2 children, so you don't need to worry about it toppling over when playing with other children. And maximum user weight is 23kg. It requires adult supervision until your child gets use to it.
I would definitely recommend and well worth the money
I bought one of these towel rail / shelf about three years ago and still use it today even though it has gone a bit rusty over time from the water and steam, but it does look stylish and usually you can't see much of the metal when in use. I use the single bar for putting the hand towel on and the shelf for face cloths, but you could also store a couple of small hand towels on it as well. The size of it is W55, D22cm so it's a good size. It has a slatted shelf with gaps in, so you can't use it for small items, but I have found it very useful in my bathroom.
I've not had any problems with putting it up on the wall and feels very secure. It comes with all the fixtures and fittings needed. Make sure you put it the right way up with the single bar at the bottom, because I have seen some pictures of it the other way up which wouldn't be very useful, even the person that was putting it up for me ask which may it goes.
The price I paid was about £15 from Argos
My daughter really likes this scooter; she got it for her 2nd birthday and always wants to go on it. Because it has up to four wheels it's very steady for her to stand on it on her own without falling and just recently 3months later she has started to get the hang of pushing with one foot. Though usually I have to push her along on it, it is ok when going straight but when you have to turn it's a bit tricky, but 1 day she will learn to use it by herself and because you can change from having four wheels, to three or two wheels it's a brilliant first scooter to learn on. Well worth purchasing.
The scooter is also light weight because my daughter tends to carry the scooter around following me to get me to push her on it. The handle bars have bubbly groves on that make it a safer grip when holding on. It folds very easily by just pulling the leaver out at the bottom and it will stay closed when lifting, until you pull the leaver out again to open it, very handy for storing. The handle bar can be adjusted for different heights, and it was easy to put together using the instructions. The size of scooter is: H55, W29, D63cm.
I would definitely recommend
I have been using this Hoover for about 2years and it still works as good as it was when brand new, It's a brilliant Hoover picks up all the dirt and has a button that makes the vacuum stronger for bits that it may struggle to pick up, but I rarely ever use this setting and I use it nearly every day.
It's made so the cable to the plug is stored away neatly inside the Hoover, you just have to pull it out for using and wind up the handle on the top of the Hoover to store the cable away again. It has a long hose, mine also seems to come with an extra Hoover hose which I didn't use otherwise it would be too long for me, but maybe handy for someone else. It came with a few attachments which I don't actually use, but handy if using to clean your car. It has a handle on the top for easy lifting, but I find it quite heavy even when it's not full.
It was very easy to put together I didn't really need to read the instructions, but they were easy to follow. On the head of the Hoover it's easy enough to change the setting from using the Hoover on carpet to flat surface with your foot. The metal part on the pipe of the Hoover can pull apart to Hoover in small areas, it's also very easy to change the bag inside and mine came with 5 free bags.
It is quite a big Hoover compared to some I have used, so you need the room to store it.
I bought a pack of these as it was my first time having a child and didnt know what to take, I used a couple of these to try, they feel very papery and not very comfy at all, as I like to know everythings secure, but with these you cant tell, the elastic was tight enough to hold up but feels loose everywhere else.
They are individually wraped and rolled up to be discrete. Its an advantage being able to just throw them away, but I didnt really like using them, they were cheap, but I found buying a cheap pack of normal briefs where better and more comfortable and only a couple pound dearer than these. So I wont be buying these again when going into hospital for my secong child.
I would'nt recommend these as I didnt like them, but they are cheap enough to give them a try
I used this all last winter and found it very handy and it works very well, heats up a room very quickly, but dont leave it on to long because the room can get a bit stuffy. It has two heat settings and a cool setting, I tried using the cool setting this summer but it didnt work very well, so I wouldnt buy it if you were after a cooler fan, but works very well at heating areas up. Its made out of plastic and seem well made for the price I paid.
The only problem is if you leave it on a hard surface you will find that it vibrates and is rather noisy but doesnt need to be switch on for long and you also have to be care it doesnt fall off if you put it up ontop of a cupboard.
I would recommend for some one looking for a cheap fan that works well at heating
I have had this cooker for nearly a year now, it's a silver ceramic hob electric cooker, I bought it for £320 from comet clearance, so it's worth trying to look around for offers. It came with a years guarantee, but Hotpoint do offer you an insurance policy you could pay for, this is optional, which I haven't chosen to do.
I find it very easy to use, has easy to follow instructions and looks really stylish in the kitchen. I really like it and had no problems so far, apart from when it's cooling down you may hear the occasional click sound, but it's not really a problem.
Dimentions for cooker are 600 x 900 x 600mm.
There are four hobs, they heat up very quickly, 2 small hobs and 2 bigger hobs, one a double for an extra large pan. Also the rear left hob is a dual ring where it can be used as a small or large pan ring depending on which way you turn the knob. The light from the hobs show brightly so you know which one is on.
Main fan oven is 65L, Has 8 different programs which are Fan oven, Bread function, Pastries, Fish, Roast, Rising, Rotisserie and Traditional. The top is 35L which is a conventional oven and grill. I have a lot more space compared to my last cooker, also I like how I can cook oven and grill foods at the same time. There is 1 wire rack in the top oven/grill and 2 wire racks in main oven, the top oven/grill has 3 shelf positioning and the main oven has 6 shelf positioning, both have internal lights.
For the top oven / grill there is a separate knob for the oven part and the grill, to adjust the temperature. For the main oven you choose the program you want with the main oven knob, then you can set the temperature using the small +/- knob
It is energy efficient has an energy rating of A and by having a small top oven you can cook small amounts of food in without using a large oven.
It has a small LCD screen which shows how long the oven has been on or you can set it to timer mode and a quiet alarm will be made when finished.
To make it easier to clean it has removable Inner door glass, that's easy to do.
It also comes with a free grill pan which is very useful.
I would recomment this cooker to anyone, it is not complicated to use and cooks very well
I used this pram from birth with my child, It was ok to push, but a bit tricky every time you get to a curb and have to stop to try and get it up, I think this was due to the weight of the pramette, but it is a pram and pushchair so i expected it to be a little heavier than the normal pushchair.
Its folds up but i had a bit of trouble getting use to how hard you had to pull the leaver at first, but I did get use to it. I also got the hang of changing it from pram to pushchair, from reading the instructions very easily, so that wasnt a problem.
I did find that when in the pram mode it didnt feel very comfy and felt all the plastic underneath, so I had to put some blankets underneath my baby to make it more comfy as it was like there was no padding built in and I found it would tip my babys head downwards so it wasnt very flat so all I could do was use blankets and a pillow to support, although it does have some padding but only when its in the pushchair mode it felt comfy, but when my child got to about 1 she started to look squashed, so I decided to buy another pushchair.
after about a years use I also found I had to oil the wheels as it started to make a loud squeak which really annoyed me.
It has a large basket undernether which was very useful. It takes alot of room up in the boot of the car, so not very practical when doing a big shop.
I bought this pushchair about 10 months after my daughter was 1 years old, because the pram that changed into a pushchair that I had was two big and heavy. I have found it very handy because its light weight and folds to half the size compared to my last pushchair I had, very practical for going on busses or to fit into a small car boot.
Its a lovely colour purple and easy to push. The hood can be easily attached or deattached, and stays up in the wind, it came with a raincover which does the job, and you fasten the raincover to the bottom of the legs with velcro fastening.
When folding you have to make sure you dont fold the plastic hook that keeps the pushchair folded together inwards or you have to open it up again which i have done a few times. It can be easily folded with the raincover inside the netted basket at the bottom of the pushchair, so you will never forget to bring the raincover. It didnt come with the footmuff, but I bought the tippitoes footmuff seperatly that fits very well for winter weather.
I think it comfy for short days out but not ideal, for your child to sleep in, as it has no padding.
Its a very useful pushchair and I havent had any problems, I would definately recommend.
I bought this for bath times with my daughter, she uses them every bath time for 9months now, she never gets bored of playing with these toys. she is 2years old and still hasn't worked out how to fill them up with water yet, so I have to, but she loves squirting them at the wall and at me, prepare to get a bit wet your self with these.
I really like how they have bright colours which help me teach my daughter the colours, also they have a number 1 to 8 on each octopus, which is also helping with her numbers. She has just got the hang of sticking them on to the side of the bath tub, that she really enjoys doing and pulling them off again. So they are very entertaining for bath time, and I would definately recommend them, they are a good buy.
It also has the green floating stand that you can sit all the octopuses on, it also has numbers on the stand so you can match the octopus with the number but the writing is the same colour as the stand so it is very hard to read, so we dont bother with them.
It also has a big orange octopus that sits in the middle of stand which can be played with by filling up with water and sprinckles out of the holes in the head, which she really enjoys.
The only cristisim I have with the squity octopuses once you have used them for a few months the black dirt inside the octopus builds up, and its very hard to get it all out, so it sometimes comes out when my daughters playing with them. but I cant see having bath time without these she really enjoys playing with them and I guess this would happen with all these types of squirty toys available on the market.
I Have used specsavers contact lenses solution for over 10 years, I like it and have never had a problem with it. It comes in a bottle which is 250ml and is easy to squirt the solution out without spilling. I use it for cleaning and storing my contact lenses in the solution at night, they usually supply 1 bottle for each month with my monthly contact lenses, and I always have lots left over each month, so I never run out. And the date on the bottle usually lasts at least 2years, so dont worry if they start to build up because you will get the chance to use them still.
As a precautions you are always ment to discard any open solution bottles after 3months of opening, so its handy if you write the date on the bottle from the date you opened it, just to be on the safe side. But I have always used it all within 3months, but ocasionally I may have opened two bottles at the same time, which is when you need to be careful with the date.
I would definitely recommend this eye solution.
I am not an expert on computers and technology: I have had this printer for over 6 months now, I like it and find it very easy to use. It came with some easy setup instructions. But found It difficult to set up to print useing the wifi function. Personly i find it handier to email the printer what i want printing, the only downside to that is you cant change it to black and white printing when printing though email, but can easily connect using the lead for bigger jobs, also the lead to connect from printer to computer is quite short would have been much handier beeing a bit longer.
I find it very simple to scan and print copies and the quality of the printing is very good. It dosnt take to long to warm up before printing, and fast at printing.
Overall I would reccomend this printer to anyone, especially people that dont have much experience with printers like myself.
I bought this trampoline from Argos; it was available to reserve on their website and to pick up the same day. It cost me £24.99 I'm glad that I bought this trampoline for my 2year old daughter she really enjoyed playing on it this summer; I think it's well worth the money I paid.
It came Flat packed, has easy enough instructions to follow, but needed two people to put together. The Size H56, W60, D60cm. The weight of the trampoline is 2.5kg, very light which I find very useful, because it can be easily carried by 1 person, to be stored away in the garage, for safe keeping from the rain. Maximum user weight is 20kg. Its suitable for indoor or outdoor use, and suitable for age 1+, So it was perfect for my daughter. She still learning how to bounce higher on it, and the handle bars are at a good height for holding on, Its easy to climb on and off, I feel its safe enough to let her play on her own.
