coca cola is with out a doubt the most known and most drunk soft drink in the world as this famous brand has rocketed to fame though out the years by offering a great tasting drink at a reasonable price. And here is a fun fact, believe it or not coca cola was patented in the 19th century as a medicine as it contained caffeine which is good for head aches!!!!
I personally buy coca cola as my main soft drink quite regularly especially nowadays as my local asda are doing a 2 for £2 special offer in the 2L version. I do enjoy the very moreish taste of coca cola that is made from the supposedly top secret recipe that has shot coca cola into huge success however I am aware of the danger of tooth decay so I try to keep the consumption at a low. Another thing with coca cola is that it can cause a delay on the time you fall asleep as it does contain caffiene which is well known for being a stimulant that is sure to keep you awake for a few more hours than usual, but I have known people who are not affected by this what so ever.
I have neighbours who have large trees that shed their leaves A LOT during autumn, so my only solution was to get my self a decent leaf rake that would make the job easier during those dreaded cold afternoons of gardening.
I found this rake a couple of years ago in my local Wilkinson for £15.99 which I think is quite a good price considering it does make the job of raking a tonne easier.
The stick is made from some sort of wood coated in a very grippy rubber that is really useful when reaching out to get some leaves as it adds more control over the rake. The stick/handle is quite long so even if you are a tall person like me you will not be kneeling down like an average broomstick.
The rake itself is made from stainless steel and is very tightly stuck to the stick/handle as have used it time and time again without having any trouble. The "teeth" of the rake head are very closely stuck together so that the leaves do not slip through the gaps. I really like how the prongs are sharp as I find my self weeding weaker weeds with even knowing!!
Overall, I would say that this rake has been really helpful in effectively raking both wet leaves and dry leaves. I would definitely recommend this to any one looking for a relatively cheap rake that will do they jobs for the years to come.
After having enough with soil going onto the concrete after rain falls I decided to find a solution for this problem and by luck my friend had extra log rolls that he did not need so he gave them to me.
They are small logs that are curved at the front to add an some complexity and detail to the design and are flat on the back to stop any soil from spilling. The wood is already treated to increase durability however I decided to add varnish to give it a bit more colour.
They basically come rolled up together and all you have to do is unroll them and place them into the soil in any wanted shape by using a heavy object of some sort (I used a hammer). They are easy to place as there is no need for complicated application methods. Another pro is that they can be changed in to fit a new garden design at any time.
These logs have resisted the weather conditions very nicely as they do not swell up or even get that soggy after rain, so they are quite water resistant to some extent. However, im pretty sure this will change after a few more month, but for the small price you pay for these logs I think they are a good way to keep your garden nice and tidy.
I bought these to fill up some extra spaces that I had in the garden that ruined the "scenery". So I decided to get plant some very small "mini" trees and plants to make my back garden a bit more "exotic".
I found these in B&Q a few years ago made me buy them is mainly the reasonable price and the simplicity of the design.
They cost £4.50 each. This is quite competitive comparing to other brands such as home-base however if you shop around on the internet im pretty sure you can get a better deal on some similar pots. But if you just want to buy them from your local B&Q then this is a good deal anyway
The terracotta pots have a very strong build that can take a heavy load of soil without any doubt as they are made are very thick, so the can last for a few year without any problems.
They have a very simple design with a thick rim and 2 pairs of faint stripes throughout the body. I really like this as it allows you to focus on the shape and beauty of the plants rather than the pot its self.
The pots are easy to clean and do not need that much maintained to keep them clean and good looking. So these score highly on ease of use in my book.
Overall, these are good looking simple pots that can keep your garden's plants looking good from top to bottom.
I really did need a folding camping chair as my improvised beach chair takes too much space and is just not as practical as a dedicated camping chair. So I bought 2 of these chairs from tesco as I thougth that a £12 chair is sure to be of a high quality... I was right.
The chair is very easy to fold away and open as the mechanism is simple and smart. It literally takes a few seconds to fold or unfold. The frame feels sturdy and strong when sitting on and the rubber soles on the bottom of the chair add extra stability and grip when sitting on.
The fabric is strong and durable as it has not shown any signs of wear and tear through out the years. The design of the chair is also quite attractive with a simple black background and a mostly grey back but what adds that extra look is the yellow line.
They chair is light and easy to lift as it only weighs around 3 and a half kilograms. The chair is also very portable as it becomes extremely compact once folded so you can easily fit it in the boot with the rest of the stuff.
Overall, this is a comfortable chair that can be used regularly as your main camping chair. I am happy with my purchase as it offers stability, compact dimensions and light weight.
I would think that a decent picnic rug is a neccesity for every home as I use it time and time a again during picnics during the warmer months.
I bought this picnic rack for £7 which might seem like quite a bit of money however I would rather spend a few pounds extra for the peace of mind rather than spend less money and struggle with a normal rug.
This rug has two layers so you do get a good amount of comfort when sitting on a harder surface as it is slightly thicker than my previous rugs. It also has a PVC back to make it water proof from under so it is suitable for use on a slightly moist or damp floor, so even when it has rained this rug can still be used with out any problems.
The rug is easy to clean after use as just a quick brush and it is ready to put away, it is also easy to wash and dry so no problems there.
The rug folds away nicely after use and the little handle just make life that much easier when using the rug (a very good idea indeed).
The pattern on this rug is some what old fashioned but it does give a sense of extra comfort and warmth.
Overall, I can not find a reason to complain about this product. Great value for money. I would truly recommend.
I bought 4 of these chairs a few years ago as the garden table did not come with garden chairs (I was not pleased at all). The chairs are very cheap as the whole lot costed me around £20 so you would not be expecting a luxury chair that you could sink into for a couple of hours.
And you would be right these chairs are the exact example of the phrase "you get what you pay for" as they get very uncomfortable after just 20-30 minutes of sitting on as the plastic is hard and the shape of the chairs is not what I would call a good posture. The back of the chair is badly made as the gaps between the plastic can really hurt your back when resting on as they are too wide and thin. The comfort that this chair provides is more for having a little 15-20 sit down rather than for spending a relaxing warm afternoon in. But since the weather is not that nice most of the time I do not really mind.
The good things about this chairs is that it is light and portable so you can move it around the garden with you little finger with out even trying. The chairs are also easy to clean just wipe them with a clean wet cloth and you are ready to go. So this chair scores highly on practicality and ease of maintenance.
Overall, I would not recommend these chairs if you are looking for comfort as I would suggest spending a bit more money on a quality product. However, if all you need is a basic chair that is easy to use for a couple of minutes in the garden then these chairs are sufficient. An average product considering the price.
I bought one of these in order to use and install on my bedroom door as it seemed a good idea to have an easy to put up pull up bar in the convince of my bed room door.
I bought this when I came across it in a fitness store the other day and after a few minutes of explanation by the store owner I decided that this product seemed of good quality and would be a good investment to increase upper body strength at any time without having to buy heavy and expensive equipment.
It costed £30 in store however on Amazon they start at £22.99 so you do not have to spend a fortune in order to get hold of one of these. I would recommend getting it on-line as the amazon delivery is quick and the price is much better.
The quality of the metal is absolutely impressive as the metal is solid and well made and the handles are bolted on tightly and firmly. The foam has been added to increase grip and comfort when exercising. This really helps because if it was not there then I am pretty sure the pull ups will become much more painful. There is also foam surrounding the part that mounts onto the door in order to prevent any damage to the frame of the door, so no worries with damaging the door. The frame is suitable for any small to average sized person as it can fit in an ordinary door, so if you are a bit on the larger side then a more dedicated piece of kit would be more suitable.
Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who is willing to fit in some exercise in the morning to add that extra bit of strength. This product combines ease of use, cheap price and comfort all in one bundle. Money well spent without a doubt.
I bought these gloves for those cold mornings during the winter months where anhy form of out door exercise is extremely uncomfortable when it comes to keeping your hands warm. After trying the cheap and rather useless £1 gloves I decided that the best option is to spend a few extra pounds on a product worth buying.
I found these in sport direct for £3 which is a rather good deal considering these a really good quality gloves made by a very well known brand (karrimor). The first thing I noticed about these gloves was they are very comfortable and flexible so they do not inhibit any movement. They are also very breathable as I have not suffer from sweaty hands after a jog in the park, this is good considering they are aimed at people who are into running and other forms of outdoor exercise.
And when it comes to actually keeping your hands warm they feel slightly cold at first but after a few minutes they warm up quickly as they retain they heat that is emitted from your hand to keep you warm. Another good feature about these gloves is that they are really light and thin without compromising warming ability so you really do get a good pair of gloves for an even better price!
Overall, I would say that I can not fault these gloves in any way considering the amount of money you pay for them. I would recommend them to any one even if they are not going to be used for exercise.
I actually bought this Frisbee for a bit of fun in my local park. And since it was my first Frisbee since a very long time I did not now what to expect from this frisbee.
I am not a serious Frisbee player so I did not mind that much when it came to exact measurements but this dinner plate sized Frisbee seemed to be big enough and well weighted. However, the quality of the plastic is quite cheap feeling even for leisure purposes as it feels tacky and weak. But I will do the job for relaxed playing in the local park.
The frisbee behaves okay as it does respond appropriately when throwing however when it gets even just a bit windy the Frisbee acts weird when comparing to more expensive Frisbee that some of my other friends have own. I think this is due to the poor quality plastic and some minor design faults.
The colour is okay I guess but be warned beige is not the most exciting colour in the world however the design pattern on top of the Frisbee does make up for the boring colour scheme as it looks cool and detailed.
Overall, I would only recommend this Frisbee is you are only playing for a bit of fun in the park as it really is not for the more tactical and experienced players as the control you get over it is really quite disappointing.
I received this inflatable punch bag as a present from a family member and at first I was not really sure about the effectiveness of an "inflatable" punch bag and to be honest I was totally impressed with the amount of fun and exercise this product has to offer.
The punch bag takes around 3 to 5 minutes to inflate which is okay considering you only inflate it from scratch once. The weight distribution is good as the bag comes back at you after each punch or kick thanks to the heavy sand weight at the bottom of the bag that causes it to bounce back.
The bag is around the height of an average sized person so you can pretty much have a "fight" with this bag. This does tend to release a tonne of stress after a long and hard day. So if you are having difficulties in life this will definitely put a little smile back on your face.
And it gets even better as all of this happens while your exercising so you are having fun, releasing stress and doing sport at the same time. This product is 100% worth the money (around £10).
I Would definitely recommend.
I bought 2 of these pedometers as a challenge between a me and a friend to see who would cover more distance in 2 months (with out cheating by shaking the pedometer!).
The pedometer only costed around £6 so it didnt cost a fortune and considering its use I would say it is money well spent.
The pedometer marks steps very accurately as it has passed my test as I counted 33 steps and indeed the display increased by 33 steps. Apart from the very rare mistakes give or take 2/3 steps this pedometer is accurate time and time again.
The display is nice big and bold with the numbers nicely spread out so even people that are long sighted can read the display easily.
The plastics are all well made and nicely put together in a good looking design that I very much like. However, what I do not like is the colour scheme that is not really the best looking (this is just my personal preference). But this is not a problem as the pedometer is nicely tucked without being visible so colour is not a problem.
Overall, this is a simple and easy to use pedometer that is capable of "tracking your EVERY step" :-)
Would recommend as a cheap alternative to the more hightec gadgets for some one who just needs to know how much they are walking.
In the past few months I have taken up home fitness exercises a bit more seriously as I have build up enough courage to continue with my fitness regime. One way if have done this is by buying slightly expensive equipment in order to feel guilty when not using them.
I bought these dumbells from my local sports shop for £15 which sounds like a lot considering you only get one set of dumbells. However, the pure quality of these dumbells out weighs the price they cost by a mile.
The soft foam grip is extremely comfortable to use when comparing to metal of plastic dumbells as you get more feel and grip while being able to challenge your muscles without feeling discomfort in any way. The adjustable strap is extremely handy during running (I mainly use these as extra resistance when jogging) as they are firmly wrapped around your hands depending on how tight you adjust them.
1KG is not a large weight so they are not really suitable for a heavy duty work out that is going to make you look like a body builder, these dumbells are more geared to light workout to get you warmed up or like me to for running.
The colour of these dumbells is probably the most low profile colour when comparing to more extravagant looking chrome dumbells however the grey foam, the black straps and the red writing all suit each other to make a classy looking dumbell.
Overall if you are looking for a simple and safe dumbell to help you with light work outs then these dumbells are just right. Just do not expect them to weigh a "TONNE" :-)
I bought this box a few years ago for putting "stuff" in a safe place without spending a fortune as I was walking in home-base I instantly decided that this box would be sufficient for my needs as it was simple and felt long lasting.
Like most furniture these days it comes in a flat package for easy transportation and storage. I like this ass you do not have to carry a heavy and relatively large box in the back of the car. The assembly of this product did not take that much time as the instruction manual was clear and simple to understand and all the components came together easily without too much of a hassle. I can honestly say this box assembly is a one person job.
The quality of the wood is quite impressive as I have put just about anything in the box through out the years without any problems. The wood also seems to quite water resistant as I have spilt stuff over it a couple of times without finding any damage to the condition of the wood. I also like the fact that it is very easy to clean thanks to its simple box shape with no fancy shapes and curves.
The dimensions of this box is 42mm x 79mm x 42mm according to the box it came in. And to be honest this is more than enough to fit most things such as kids toys and larger books that are not suitable for putting on book shelves.
Overall, this is a great box for simple use throughout the house. I would definitely recommend to anyone especially people with children who have a lot of toys as this box only costs £20.
I bought these hand grips in order to improve general arm strength as I felt that I needed to improve my upper body strength and since I trusted Everlast as a good fitness brand I bought these and this is what I thought about them.
The price of these hand grips was £9 at my local fitness shop however I am pretty sure a better deal can be found with a bit more searching on the internet. I think the price is just about right considering the quality of these hand grips.....
The handles are well made from clearly long lasting materials as the wood is solid and well finished and the metal is just about "indestructible". What impressed me the most about this product is that they are put together very tightly so you get a very confident feel when using them.
The resistance is good as I find them quite challenging after a few tries, so you are guaranteed a hard work out. The handles are comfortable in the hand as they are made with the right thickness for an average sized hand, so you are not going to be struggling to hold these handles if you have slightly small hands.
Overall, these handles are great for using to improve general grip and strength thanks to the simple and ergonomic design that is comfortable to use and the good amount of resistance provided by the springs.
A product that I would recommend to any one. A product definitely worth a 5 star rating.
