When you think after eights people automatically think of the thin dark square chocolates that come in an oblong green box but now there is a different version also available on the market and equally as nice.
After eight straws are long thin tubular chocolates not that dissimilar to match makers but smoother, they are a soft white mint middle with a dark chocolate exterior coating the same as the usual after eights, they have a lovely strong mint taste to them and are a delight to eat.
They come packaged in a card board cylindrical tube that will stop them getting squashed, the top half of the tube lifts off to reveal the sticks standing up which would be ideal for on a party table or dinner table.
These are also available in vodka flavour which I didnt like at all
They retail at between £1.99 and £2.99 depending on where you buy them from so are very similarly priced to both the original after eights and match makers
As a lot of you are aware there are many places doing offers on photo prints these days with the ever growing trend for people buying digital cameras.
I sighned up to this site to recieve the introductory offer of 40 free prints, sign up is easy and all you need to do is input your personal details, done.
To upload your photos all you need to do is connect your camera or in my case mobile phone to your computer and upload your photos, you transfer them to the site and am ready to choose to have them printed, it is easy to do and there are simple instructions to guide you through it so anyone should be able to do this, the only catch is that you do have to pay postage on your photos so are not completely free but still felt like I was getting a great discount
I placed my order and my photos arrived 4 days later which was reasonable concidering the backlog in the post this time of year, they are good quality photos and are worth paying the postage to get your 40 free prints, I would be willing to use this site again at full price as it is more convinent than going to the town to get my pictures printed
This is a great game and if you are a fan of the film then you will be a fan of this game.
Game play itself does take a bit of getting used to but once you have worked out how to use the controls to the best of your advantage it is very simple to play
The graphics in this game are very good they are crisp and clear the 3d effect of actually being there makes this game even more realistic and this combined with the sound effects makes it a very real feeling game to play.
This game isnt something you will have completed or be bored of in a few hours it is the type of game you can play for hours without even realising it and can play day in day out without boring of it as there are always new things to keep you entertained.
being a big fan of coffee in our house we have been enjoying coffee mate for a few years now.
The difficultest part about coffee mate is deciding which one to buy as there are so many to choose from, there is obviously a plain coffee mate, a chocolate flavoured one, fruit flavoured coffee mates and whisky flavoured coffee mate.
The original is my favourite as coffee doesnt realy taste the same once you start adding things to the flavour.
Coffee mate is basically a milk powder to add to your coffee, I use it a lot at work which is ideal as there is no fridge so I dont have to worry about it going off like milk would, it mixes in the coffee well and leaves no nasty residue behind and it gives the coffee a nice rich creamy taste to it like you would get with a full fat milk added.
This has been a favorite of mine since I was a young child, there was a time a few years ago where you couldnt get these in most shops but they seem to be all the rage again now with most shops stocking them.
They are a long thin bar that isnt too deep and reminds me of a ruler if I am honest in shape, it is a toffee middle with a chocolate outer, the chocolate is milk chocolate and tastes very nice with the creamyness of the toffee, it is not a streight bar but it is curly as the name sugests.
The toffee on these is quite soft if you dont put them in the fridge, is easy to bit through and stringy in texture, if you keep them in the fridge it goes hard enough to be snapped into pieces when you try to bit it but this does make a bit of a mess as the chocolate breaks off.
A yummy bar I am glad to see mking a come back
During the winter time I tend to find that due to the heating being on in the house all the while, the air conditioning at work and the heaters in the car my skin and lips become very dry especially if I have had a cold.
I wanted something that was going to help stop my lips loosing moisture and to replace the moisture they had already lost but I obviously didnt want anything with a coloured tint to it or a fruity or floral smell so was a bit wary of buying a lip balm.
When I saw this in the supermarket for £99p I thought it would be ideal, it is a little pocket sized tin so I can take it everywhere with me and it being just ordinary vaseline it wasnt coloured or fragranced so I wouldnt look or smell like a girl.
You only need a tiny bit of this at a time so it will last for ages, the lid fits securely so no worries about it leaking and it helps a lot to replace the moisture, sooth chapped lips and skin.
For the car enthusiast there is no better off line shop than halfords, halfors stores are easily accessable as there is one in most major towns so you wont have to travel far.
They stock a great range of car spares for doing a home service on your car you can get your new filters, spark plugs and your oil from there,
They have a good selection of haynes manuels in stock to teach you the basics of your car and how to repair things when they go wrong,if your cars book is not in stock you can order the book in.
They stock all the items you wil need for general maintanance, cleaning products, repair spray jobs and a great selection of electrical equipment.
Aswell as all of this they sell a wide range of god quality sound systems that can be brought as a full system or as parts, the speakers, sub, amp and stereo, they also sell loads of bits to make your car look nicer, crome window wipers, crome or anadised gear selecters, mats and seat covers.
if you are a car enthusiast pop in and have a look
well by now most of you must have seen the advert for these biscuits where the little boy sits on the step with his dog eating his biscuits and teasing the dog about him not being able to have one. In the advert the biscuits are twisted licked and dunked in a glass of milk, I prefer to eat mine whole as they tase better this way.
These biscuits consist of nice chocolate tasting biscuits that dont taste too over powering of coco powder and have a nice tasting generous amount of vanilla cream filling, the two tastes combined taste lovely.
I prefer not to dunk my biscuits into milk but to have a glass to drink at the same time as eating them as they are quite dry as are most biscuits.
These are available to buy in snack sized packs ideal for lunch boxes or for taking with you when you go out.
My mother is an avid fan of this show watching it every weekday at 9.25am.
It is a show where members of the general public come on tv to air there problems and sort out there differences with each other, I think jeremy kyle is a great host and holds his temper very well as there are a few guests I have seen on this show that I wouldnt have been able to resist hitting.
There are some great guests on here with great storys to tell, I especially like the reunion shows where someone has been looking for a family member they lost touch with, the show brings them on to make an appeal but doesnt tell them they are there in the studio, it is lovely to see families reunited. others are completely ridiculous though and you wander why they would embarres them selves on national tv like this, I have lost count of the amount of women on the show claiming to have only slept with there partners for the dna test to show the child isnt theres.
some are heart warming and others are just ridiculous
Originally Quavers were only available in cheese flavour but over the years they have introduced other flavours to the range but the original cheese is still my favorite.
Quavers are not a crisp but more of a hard corn snack, they are in the shape of curls, they wont disolve in your mouth like other corn snacks but dont require as much chewing as crisps do so are ideal for anyone from the ages of 1 years and over including people with false teeth.
The cheese flavouring is very generous and you can actually see the flavouring on the quavers, the cheese is a creamy tasting cheese that is very mid tasting so are very enjoyable.
Single packs cost around 40p and have a generous amount in them, multipacks work out cheaper but have less Quavers in each pack, these are a great snack when you are feeling peckish and contain just enough to take the edge off hunger untill meal times
Pringles are available in 3 different sizes, they are available in a tall cardboard tubs as pictured above, a short cardboard tube or in a small tray suitable for lunch boxes.
Each pringle crisp is a curved shape so that they all sit nicely together in the tube, the cardboard tube is a great way of preventing them getting broken in the shops and in transit to and from the shops, although this works very well you usually find a few brokn ones at each end of the tube.
They are large sized crisps that are a lot thicker than others on the market, the original flavour is nice, it has a slightly salty taste to it but other than that juat tastes of potato, they are very nice as a snack on there own or with a dip for added flavour the only problem is they are very moorish so once you pop as the advert says you wont be able to stop.
The tube has a plastic lid so that you can store them and keep them fresh so you dont have to eat them in one sitting.
Pot noodle as the name suggests is a pot full of delicious noodles. They are available in spicy curry flavour as pictured above which although it says is spicy it is in fact no more spicy than the average chip shop curry so if you are not into red hot foods dont be detered as this is very mild. chicken and mushroom which tastes nicely of chicken but the mushroom flavouring is very mild and finaly beef and tomato which tastes very strongly of the tomato.
The pot noodles come as singles or packs of 3, they are better value if you buty them as a 3 pack from the supermarket. The noodles come dry in the container with sachets of sauce/flavouring, to make all you need to do is add water to the fill line and leave to stand for 1 minute, stir and leave for a further minute and your noodles are ready.
The noodles soften nicely and are not too hard but are not too squidgy either, the flavourings in all 3 are generous and taste nice, I have heard these described as a snack but for me there is enough to have as a meal although they are not very healthy as they do contain a lot of sugar.
As a child I was always a big fan of cadburys wispa so am very pleased to see them back on the shelves in our shops again and even happier to find that they tase as good as I remember them too although they do seem smaller now not because they have decreased in size but because I am not a small child any more.
You cant miss the wispa wrapper it is a nice purple colour and stads out amongst the other chocolate wrappers.
The chocolate itself is cadburys milk chocolate with a great taste to it that we have all become acustomed to over the years, unlike dairy milk this has loads of tiny little air bubbles in it very similar to nestles aero but smaller giving the chocolate a very light and airy feel to it, they are very enjoyable, not too rich tasting so wont be overly sickly and are fantastic as a snack.
They retail between, 39p and 60p depending on which shop you use and as always the supermarkets are the cheapest.
Ibuprofen is a very effective pain relief drug, it is widely available from all chemists and most supermarkets, you dont need a prescription to buy them and they are not expensive to buy, pound land is the best deal you get 3 packs of 16 tablets for £1, they are a lot faster acting than paracetamol which is why I prefer these and unlike asprin can be used on an empty stomach without the risk of upset or ulsers developing.
My main use of these is for a head ache usually after a night out on the beer, they are also good when I have a cold at reducing my temperature and are supposed to be good for reducing inflamation aswell.
The ones I use are the 200mg version, you can take 1 or 2 tablets depending on how severe the pain and your tolerance to the tablets every 4 hours but you cannot excede the stated 6 tablets in 24 hours, I usually take 2 tablets which last me a good 6 hours of pain relief.
They cannot be taken by anyone under the age of 12 years or by pregnant women
I have always been a big fan of vimto, it is available in cans or bottles, the bottles are available in a range of different sizes and are available as a cordial drink to dilute with water, a ready made flat drink or a fizzy drink, my favorite is the fizzy and I get two 500ml bottles from poundland for just £1 which is a great saving concidering some corner shops charge as much as 95p per bottle.
Vimto for anyone who hasnt tryed it is a fruit drink made from grapes, blackcurrants and raspberries, it has a great taste to it, a tang as it first hits your tongue and makes you salivate like mad, the drink includes spices that give it a warming feeling in your mouth and it tastes great, it does stain clothing though so be careful
It isnt the most healthy drink around as it contains 222 calories per 500ml bottle which is 12% of your daily allowance and the sugar is even worse it has 55g of sugar which is 62% of your daily intake.
