I love being able to use an ipod shuffle if I don't want to take my regular ipod with me. Shuffle the songs up and I'm listening to music non-stop. What kinda bothers me though is the fact that the battery life can drain if you tend to not know what you're doing. Sometimes if I plug in my ipod to my computer, I end up leaving it plugged in overnight, and then for some reason, the battery is fully drained on the thing. I have to rely on a 3rd party wall charger to charge this thing and to ensure that I have a full battery life on this before I go out and use it.
I like this product overall, but apple could've been a little more generous and given a wall charger with this thing. Unfortunately, I don't see that ever happening in the future. I think this product itself is very good though.
I have had this drive for over a couple of years now and I love using it. I have almost filled it up to max capacity, and it certainly can hold A LOT of data. One thing that I don't like though is that it's slower than the other external drives I've had in the past. Only by a few seconds, but still it doesn't really make too much of a difference. BACK UP ALL YOUR FILES TO MORE THAN 1 DRIVE. This is essential since a hard drive has moving parts and cannot be guaranteed to work 100% of the time! I lost all my data on an older drive and now I use this and several other drives to make all my backups.
Overall, I love this product, but I make sure I'm very careful with it. After all, 640 GB is definitely a lot of storage if you ask me.
This drive does what any external drive should do. Plug and play, you just plug it in to your computer and then you're good to go in terms of backing up your computer files. And may I suggest that you buy more than 1 of these, since I had an external drive and I backed everything up to it, only to have my drive die on me one day and I lost everything. (it wasn't this specific drive though). My main point is that, make sure you have your most important files backed up in several different areas, mainly because that way you won't have to worry about anything being lost in case something does happen to your drive.
160 GB is a lot, so unless you're storing videos or massively large files, you shouldn't have any problems backing up all of your personal files to this external hard drive. :)
Got this model and it works pretty well in terms of playing DVD's an recording them, but I think the main problem here is the fact that it seems like any type of removable storage to burn doesn't seem to work the greatest. I've tried using flash drives many times on this machine but for some reason it never seems to work. Maybe it's me with the types of files that I put on there, but still, you would think that any type of media would be playable no matter what type of file it is.
Either way though, I think that this is a great device for anyone's home mainly because burning DVD's is much better than relying on old VCR's, but at the same time, this device does have its frustration and might take a bit of trial and error, especially when it comes to removable storage like flash drives and stuff like that.
Honestly, words cannot say how much more I love this controller compared to the Sixaxis wireless controller for the PS3. This controller may not look like it can do much, but I can safely say that the Rumbling feature is 100% the same as the Dual Shock 2 for the PS2!
First off, the weight difference is significant compared to the Sixaxis. You can tell no doubt which controller is which once you pick up both a Sixaxis and Dual Shock 3.
Second, there are LOTS of colors to choose from when it comes to buying it. Black, White, Red, Blue, Grey, and many others.
Now, to review on the rumbling itself, well, IT'S AWESOME!!! It's 100% accurate once something happens in a game where the controller is supposed to rumble and it gives you that feeling of awesomeness when playing games that have the rumble feature.
The ONLY real con I have to say about this controller is that once every so often, it can drain the battery a bit quickly, but hey, I would take this controller 100 times as much compared to the Sixaxis.
Overall, no doubt this product deserves 100 stars, but I can only give it 5.
