      Loved it!!

One of my guilty pleasures is browsing charity shops for books. One book which I recently came across is this chick-lit novel by Harriet Evans called 'The Love of Her Life. The book was released in the United Kingdom in 2008 and is currently available to buy from Amazon from as little as 1p which I think is great value for money.

      ~ * The Plot * ~

Meet Kate, a London girl. She was happy living in London until that dreadful day. Will Kate ever be able to return to London and reunite with the love of her life? Read The Love of Her Life to find out!

      ~ * So What Did I Think.... * ~

I really liked the plot. Every time the characters kept mentioning what Kate ran away from (readers don't find out until near the end), I kept thinking oh I bet it was something simple like Kate getting dumped and them being over the top. But when I did find out what had happened, I thought it was really good and added drama and depth to the story. I was addicted to the book and just could not put it down. It's definitely one of the best chick-lit books I have ever read!

      ~ * What About The Characters? * ~

I loved the characters in this book, especially the main character Kate; I thought that she was a very nice and genuine, down to earth character. I thought that she was really easy to relate to and I felt as though I really knew her. I also liked the other characters; especially her two best friends Zoe and Francesca. I thought that the characters were good ones and well developed. I actually felt sad saying goodbye to them at the end. It's definitely a heartfelt and heart-warming read. There's something good about a book when you feel you care about the characters; and that's exactly how I felt; I actually cared about what happened to the characters,

      ~ * What About The Author? * ~

I liked the author's way with words. Harriet Evans is brilliant with her descriptive writing; she explains fully what is going on without going into too much detail; she makes you feel as though you are really there. I really felt as though I was a part of the story.

I liked how the book kept flicking back and forth throughout the book; I would think I wonder what happened or why this has happened or why so-and-so is being like this now, then you would have to keep on reading for a few chapters before you could find out what had happened previously which I thought was good as it keeps readers on suspense and hungry to keep turning the pages.

I was a bit annoyed with the ending. I knew what was going to happen and while we knew what happened in the end, I just felt that the ending was left a little rushed and messy; so much that I was left with certain questions (I won't say what the questions were as I do not want to spoil it for you.

All in all I would definitely recommend this book! It's a fantastic read! It would make a great holiday read. I can't wait to read more books by Harriet Evans.

      Thanks for reading!

      An interesting read!

One of my favourite things to do is browse charity shops for books. I have been doing a lot of this recently, and so my 'to read' pile of books just seems to be getting taller and taller. One book which I recently read is this book, the autobiography of Weather Girl and Loose Woman, Andrea McClean. Confessions of A Good Girl was released in the United Kingdom in 2011. I actually have the 'updated' version, which was re-released in 2012 and cost me just 50p in my local charity shop.

I definitely learned a lot about Andrea in this book. Despite being a household name in Britain, I didn't really know that much about her, so I was really surprised to learn that she had grown up in the Caribbean. She has certainly led an interesting and action packed life.

Andrea does come across as being really genuine and down to earth and seems like a really nice person. She seems really friendly and I felt as though I really got to know her as she just comes across as being 'normal'. She was very honest and open in this book. She is very easy to relate to and so I think that is why she is liked so much, as people can connect to her. As I was reading the book, I could hear Andrea's voice in my head telling me the story herself.

To me, Andrea always comes across as being 'perfect'; she's just one of those people and so I was really shocked to discover that she has actually had a really hard time these last few years and her life has been far from perfect. I did feel really sorry for Andrea in this book, however I also felt a little bit irritated as she came across as being a bit 'poor me' which I did find a bit annoying, especially as the book went on and her 'poor me' attitude got even worse! Sorry Andrea! I did feel sorry for her though.

At the end of the book, it states that Andrea actually wrote this book herself; word for word, which I find to be very impressive. I had assumed, like all other celebrities, she would have hired a ghost-writer, but she wrote this herself. So well done Andrea.

      I would recommend this book!

      Thanks for reading!

        A cheeky and cheerful CD!

Swings Both Ways is the latest album from Robbie Williams and was released in the United Kingdom in 2013 and so it is very recent. The CD is currently available to buy from Amazon for a price of £6.99 which I think is excellent value for money.

        ~ * Track Listing * ~

        1) Shine My Shoes 2) Go Gentle 3) I Wanna Be Like You 4) Swing Supreme 5) Swings Both Ways 6) Dream A Little Dream 7) Soda Pop 8) Snow Blind 9) Puttin' On The Ritz 10) Little Green Apples 11) Minnie The Moocher 12) If I Only Had A Break 13) No One Likes A Fat Popstar

I really love this album. There is a good mix of songs on here; definitely something to suit everyone on here. It doesn't matter whatever your age, whether you are a child or an elderly person, this album will sure to have you tapping your feet along to it. It really makes me want to get up and dance and I like how the album makes you feel as though you have gone back in time. The songs are very cheeky a bring a smile to my face.

Songs which stand out for me are:

Shine My Shoes - a great start to this album. It's a 'big band' kind of song and Robbie just fits in so well with it. His voice is strong and powerful and he sings this song with ease. A brilliant song and a fantastic start to the album.

I Wanna Be Like You - This song features Olly Murs (who I love). This is such a cheeky song. They sing well together and this song just brings a smile to my face as its so cheeky. They work so well together and I like how Robbie sings a line, then Olly a line and then Robbie and then Olly - it's just so cheeky and suits their personalities so well. I could just imagine them pulling faces at each other when they were recording this.

Little Green Apples - I love this duet with Kelly Clarkson. It's such a beautiful song which is nice and simple and easy to listen to.

Robbie is amazing on this album. I wasn't sure how he would pull of a jazzy album, but he does it so well. He seems such a natural with this style of music; he's really at home with it. He sings well on here; his voice is full of power and he sings so effortlessly. Well done Robbie, I am impressed!

May like it if you like 50 Shades!

Being a 50 Shades of Grey fan, when I saw a recommendation for this book in a magazine, which said that this would be a great book for 50 Shades of Grey Fans, I decided to give it a go. Destined To Play is part of a series of books and this is the first one, written by Indigo Bloome. The book is currently available to buy from Amazon for a price of £3.99

          ~ * Plot * ~

Dr Alexandra Blake is married with two children. However, when she meets up with Dr Jeremy Quinn, a fellow doctor and her ex-lover, at a doctors conference, he has a proposal for her; one which she knows she cannot take lightly and once she takes up his offer, there is no backing out. Will she be able to give up her sight for 48 hours? Read Destined To Play to find out!

          ~ * What Is The Plot Like? * ~

The plot is very....unique if little weird. Yet, somehow there is 'real' element about this book as due to the circumstances and the statuses of the two main characters, it doesn't seem that far-fetched; well, certainly not as far fetched as 50 Shades of Grey. However, I have to say it wasn't really a plot I enjoyed. To be honest, I found this book to be quite boring. It's definitely not as much of a gripping read as 50 Shades.

          ~ * What Are The Characters Like? * ~

The book is written in the first person and so we get the whole story from the lead character, Alexandra's perspective, The characters I thought were quite 'hard to get to' and despite the fact that the story is told in the first person, and so we should be able to connect easily to the main character, I just could not.

I also felt a bit 'left out' about the whole thing that had gone on in the past with Jeremy. One thing that I found interesting was the fact that as the main characters are doctors, and so are professionals, you feel inclined to trust them, but at the same time you think are they trustworthy? So that definitely adds an edge to the book.

All in all, I would recommend this book as it is quite different, although it's not really 'up there' with 50 Shades of Grey.

          Thanks for reading!

          Just like normal Flora!

I am currently on the Weight Watchers diet, however when I recently spotted a tub of this Flora Buttery in our fridge, I could not wait to spread a load of it on a slice of toast (at least the bread was Weight Watchers!!)

This butter comes in a 500g tub with a lid. I like this style of packaging as it means that the product is protected and so doesn't dry out once it has been opened. We find that a tub of this can lasts us a good couple of weeks which I think is good.

Surprisingly even though this is supposed to be butter - it doesn't actually smell like butter. In fact it doesn't actually smell of anything to be honest. The butter is smooth and is fairly easy to spread. I like to have what I call 'juicy toast' which basically means toast soaked in butter (naughty I know, but hey I'm on a diet and so I'm allowed my occasional treats!)

I have done a fair amount of cooking with this butter; such as frying mushrooms etc and I find that I do have to use a lot of it as it does 'disappear' quite quickly. I have also used this butter when baking fairy cakes. To be honest, I find it no different to Flora - it tastes pretty much the same and does just as good as job. So in that respect I was a bit disappointed that this isn't more buttery, as to me its just a bit like normal Flora.

This Flora is said to be healthy as it contains omega 3 and 6 and is made from seed oils. A 10g portion of this will provide you with 63 calories so it's obviously not that great for your waistline.

All in all, I would recommend this Flora Buttery. Look out for offers, as I see this regularly on offer in supermarkets. What's great is that this butter is suitable for freezing and so you can stock up, and have one in the freezer until you need to use it.

            Does the job!

In winter, when lips get dry, it's essential that every girl has her Carmex Lip Balm in her handbag, as it is such a necessity for sore and chapped lips. For those of you who don't know Carmex Lip Balm is a very famous brand which has been around a very long time. A 10g tube of this currently costs around £2.

Using the lip balm is very easy, simply squeeze a little out and apply straight onto your lips. A little really does go a long way. To begin with, I find that my lips do tingle a little bit, but not for long. I do find that it has a funny taste, which is a bit yuck at first, although I soon got used to it and now it doesn't bother me.

I find that after using this lip balm, my lips are lovely, smooth and soft, and gone are the awful cracks and dry skin. It instantly soothes my lips relieving the 'soreness'. It also moisturises lips well.

I find that a tube of this can last a good few months and so I consider it to be good value for money. I find it's good to stock up on them and it's good to have one at home, in your handbag, in your car, at work etc.

If you suffer from, dry, cracked and sore lips, I would definitely recommend this.

              Advantages

              Keeps my hair together!

My hair likes to do its own thing. So quite often, I can spend ages straightening it in the morning and then by lunchtime it has done it's own thing and gone all frizzy. Whilst this is obviously annoying, it doesn't bother me that much when I am going about my every day life. However, when it comes to nights out where I like getting all glammed up, it's important to me that every single strand of hair is in its place, and that's where this Silvikrin Natural Hold Hairspray comes in.

I chose this 'natural hold' hairspray from Silvikrin as I wanted my hair to look natural and not too 'fake'. The hairspray is easy to use; simply style your hair and then add a few sprays of this to 'hold' it in place. This hairspray has that horrible chemically smell (which can't be good for you) - so I just tend to spray it and then walk away out of the 'fumes'. That's definitely something which puts me of using hairspray.

One thing which puts me off when using hairspray is that horrible sticky residue it leaves on your hair. However, I have to say that this hairspray doesn't seem to leave as much as a bad residue as other hairspray brands I have tried which is good. It doesn't cause too many bad tangles either which is good.

I have to say that this hairspray does work well - as my hairdresser says, I don't have thick hair I just have a lot of hair which gives the impression that it is thick, when in fact my hair isn't that thick at all. Yet this hairspray manages to do a good job and it 'holds' my hair well. My hair is much tidier when I use this and stays straighter for much longer compared to when I don't use this hairspray. I do think that my hair holds better when it is up in a ponytail than when it does when I just wear it down.

All in all, I would recommend this hairspray! It's not something I use everyday, but when I do use it, it does a good job.

              Not for me!

I became interested in this movie after hearing that Rihanna, who I am quite a fan of, was starring in this movie. Battleship is an Action-Adventure movie which was released in the United Kingdom in 2012 and was directed by Peter Berg. As well as Rihanna, the movie stars Liam Neeson and Brooklyn Decker. The DVD is currently available to buy from Amazon for a price of £5.00.

              ~ * The Plot * ~

The movie is basically about a battle in which the planet is in need of saving from a super force? Will they be able to save the world? Watch Battleship to find out.

To be honest, I wouldn't have been interested in such a film as I don't really like 'far fetched' movies and so the only reason I wanted to see this film was because Rihanna was in it and I wanted to see what kind of an actress she would be. I have to say the movie is very poor really; the plot is too far-fetched to find believable - I know a lot of films are far fetched, yet they make them seem believable, but there just wasn't anything believable about it.

The acting wasn't that great either, although I guess that the fact that the script was really bad didn't help things - the lines were just so predictable and you just knew what was going to come next, which made things a bit boring as there were no suprises. Rihanna, as an actress was definitely too try hard and I just couldn't take her seriously.

I guess the only good thing about this movie were the special effects; they were quite impressive to be honest and made the movie seem exciting (the only actual exciting thing about the movie). I liked that fact that the movie was filmed in a way that you felt as though you were actually there.

All in all, I would not recommend this movie! I found it to be very boring!! This movie could have been sooooo much better, but I think that plot was very weak and the script wasn't that great. To be honest, I think they relied on Rihanna to 'make this film', and it just didn't work. Sorry, but it's a no from me!

              A nice, easy-to-read book!

To be honest, I wasn't that much of a fan of Matt Cardle when he was on The X Factor. I don't think I even watched the series. However, one of my guilty pleasures is reading celebrity autobiographies, so when I spotted this book selling for just a £1 in a local charity shop, I was very interested.

My Story is the autobiography from 2010 X Factor winner Matt Cardle. The book was released in the United Kingdom in 2010. The book is currently available to buy from Amazon for a price of £13.39 which I think is very expensive, especially as it was released nearly four years ago, and I managed to get my copy for just a £1.

In this book Matt Cardle tells us his life story, right from the very beginning up until his X Factor days. I found this really interesting, moreso because with X Factor contestants they become famous so quickly that we don't really know that much about them, so it was nice to learn about his background and how he got to where he is today.

As I didn't watch The X Factor series which Matt appeared on, I wasn't actually sure what he was like. In this book, he comes across as being really likeable and friendly and honest. He seems really genuine. I also like the insights he gave on what its like to be on The X Factor; as we always see it from an outsider's point of view, it was nice to see it from an insider's perspective for a change.

The book is written in a very simple and easy-to-read style which is great as means that you can read it quickly; I flew through this book within a couple of hours - it was that addictive. It's definitely a page-turner.

If you like Matt Cardle or just like celebrity autobiographies, then I would recommend this book. I consider a £1 well spent!

              Better than Pure and Simple!

Everybody is the second album from British boy/girl band Hear'Say. The album was released in the United Kingdom in 2002. The CD is currently available to buy from Amazon for a price of £3.64 which I think is good value for money.

              ~ * Track Listing * ~

              1) Everybody 2) Suddenly 3) We Go On 4) Back Down To Zero 5) Play To Win 6) Angel In My Heart 7) You're All I Need To Get By 8) Not The End of The World 9) Don't Go Believing 10) Home Again 11) A Good Thing 12) Straight From The Heart 13) Pure and Simple (New Version)

Hear'Say seemed to have changed gear since their debut album Popstars. It's clear that the group changed musical direction with this album as the songs are much more upbeat and full of energy. The songs, despite having being released over ten years ago, have a much more modern sound than their previous album, Pure and Simple.

The album kicks off with the upbeat Everybody which I think has a real catchy chorus and 'feel good' feel to it; it's a very uplifting song. The sense of 'feel good' remains throughout the album, and the songs are good and are of much better quality than the songs on their debut album, which to me seemed to have been rushed. The songs on this album have catchy choruses and beautiful melodies. Songs which I absolutely love on this album is the beautiful 'Back Down To Zero' which shows off the group's voices really well, especially Kym's. I also love the song 'Play To Win' which is very summery.

The band sing well on this album. Again, Kym stands out for me, with Suzanne not far behind. Their voices go well together and the songs really show off their voices!

The group sing well on this album, and I think that the songs on here suit the group so much better than their previous album did.

              I would recommend this album!

              1) Crazy In Love (featuring Jay-Z) 2) Naughty Girl 3) Baby Boy (featuring Sean Paul) 4) Hip Hop Star (featuring Big Boi and Sleep Brown) 5) Be With You 6) Me, Myself and I 7) Yes 8) Signs (featuring Missy Elliott) 9) Speechless 10) That's How You Like It (featuring Jay-Z) 11) The Closer I Get To You (Duet with Lither Vandross) 12) Dangerously In Love 2 13) Beyonce Interlude 14) Gift From Virgo 15) Work It Out 16) Bonnie and Clyde 03

This album features a good amount of songs for your buck. Although it isn't as much of a 'party album' as I thought it would be. Judging by the lead single 'Crazy In Love', I thought that the rest of the album would follow suit and be just as catchy. But to be honest, the rest of the songs on here apart from the super-catchy 'Baby Boy' are pretty average and there is nothing to shout home about on this album really which is disappointing.

Obviously, the biggest song from this album is 'Crazy In Love' which is very catchy and bursting with attitude. I remember at the time of release I wasn't that keen on it, but now when I hear it I love it and can't resist dancing along to it. It's the kind of song which puts you in a good mood and makes you want to go out there and strut your stuff. Naughty Girl is actually quite a naughty song, which I am quite surprised at from Beyonce, as none of her other songs are this 'naughty'. It's a good song though.

When this album was first released, I though that a lot of different artists featured on this album. I did make me wonder if Beyonce was actually able to pull it off as a solo star as she seemed to rely on other artists to 'help her out' on this CD. However, I actually think that Beyonce did a great job on this album and her vocals are just amazing and so this album proves (as she has also proved with more recent albums) that she can pull it off. So it does make me wonder why she needed so many other people on this album; I mean it works and I guess it adds variety, just that I don't think that I have seen an album with such a huge amount of other artists 'featuring'.

This is the album that 'made' Beyonce, although I have to say that this album is probably my least favourite Beyonce album. I much prefer her more recent albums such as 'I Am...Sasha Fierce' which I just think have much better songs.

I would recommend this album if you are a Beyonce fan but it's not my favourite album of hers.

              Thanks for reading!

                An ok pop album!

I remember being about ten when the first ever 'X Factor' style show came about, and that was back in 2001 and the show was called 'Popstars' which put together the pop band Hear'say. I remember being so excited when they released their debut album Popstars in 2001. The CD is currently available to buy from Amazon for a price of £1.87 which I think is excellent value for money.

                ~ * Track Listing * ~

                1) Pure and Simple 2) The Way To Your Love 3) One Step Closer 4) Another Lover 5) One 6) Not The Kind 7) Make It Happen 8) Breathe 9) Carried Away 10) Sweet Alibi 11) I Didn't Want You Anyway 12) Colourblind 13) Love Will Never End 14) Monday, Monday 15) Bridge Over Troubled Water

This album is good however a lot of the songs are just average to be honest. The songs which stand out the most for me are the two singles 'Pure and Simple' and the lovely ballad 'The Way To Your Love'. Yes, the rest of the songs on this album are good, but there is nothing 'wow' or 'put that on again' about them which is a shame really.

One good thing about Hear'Say is that they all could sing and this album shows that. Clearly the best singer is Kym although Suzanne isn't that bad. Danny is able to bring power to the songs and Noel is fairly good too. I would say that Myleene is the least best singer of the group, but she isn't really bad. The band's voices blend really well together.

This album is quite laid back with a very 'laid back feel'. It is the kind of album which you can play in the car or have on in the background. I remember being a kid when this came out and remember thinking it had a very mature sound with cover songs such as Bridge Over Troubled Water and Monday, Monday and wasn't as 'young sounding' as I thought it would be.

If you like pop then you may like this album. Although it isn't as good as it could have been. I guess you could say it is a 'Pure and Simple' kind of album.

                Thanks for reading!

                  Advantages

                  Disadvantages

                  Full of amazing advice!!

I had heard about this Karren Brady, although I didn't really know that much about her. To me she was just a 'tough talking business woman' and I wasn't that interested to know any more about her. However, being a Cosmopolitan magazine reader, which Karren has a career advice column in - I find her column to be hugely inspiring and so I started to become a fan of her. So when I recently found her autobiography selling for just £1 in a local charity shop, I couldn't wait to read it.

The book is called 'Strong Woman' and I like how it is aimed at women only. Karren is very against sexism against women in the workplace and so I think that it is great that she has written this book just for women - to inspire, encourage and motivate them towards being successful and 'putting themselves out there' in the business world.

I like the way that the book is written in a 'here and now' kind of way, rather than an actual life story. I like how she talks about it in a way such as 'I like to do this....I remember I time when I did this' rather than 'Back in 1980, I worked for so-and-so' etc. I like the style of writing as it makes it more direct and as though she is actually talking to you. I enjoyed the book so much that I just flew through it and had finished reading it within a couple of hours. I also like how the book is written in a simple and easy to read way with a 'no nonsense' and 'straight to the point' way.

Whilst I like the 'here and now' approach to her life, the book is all about 'work, work, work' which I did think was inspiring and definitely motivated me. However, at the same time, I would have preferred to have read more about her personal life rather than just her working life. Although, then again, as she says herself, she wrote the book to motivate other women to become business women, leaders and entrepreneurs after attending an event at Number 10, and seeing the same old male faces year after year. She always wondered where the new women leaders were and so she has written this book to inspire women - I have to say, this book has definitely inspired me.

Karren comes across just as she does on television; very honest and straight to the point. I certainly wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of her; come to think of it, I think she's probably even very scary when you are on the right side of her. She is very competitive and ambitious. To be honest, I don't think I would like to work with or for her as I could imagine her to be very picky; she even admits herself that she would rather do all tasks herself so that she knows they are going to be done well rather than letting someone else do them.

She does come across as being a bit of a big head. For example, she likes to mention several times that 'so and so company was in a right mess when I joined....and then I did this, this and that...and now it's a huge success. She also does seem to have a bit of a 'bob on herself'. For example I don't know how many times someone she works with has said 'oh I wouldn't tell anyone else, but I'll tell you Karen because you are so great' or 'I want you to do this task because you are so great', which is nice as she is great, but she just seem to be a bit smug about it which I did find slightly annoying - it's not enough to put me off her though which is quite surprising as she does big herself up a lot!

She comes across as being the smartest woman in the world; she talks about 'logic thinking' a lot and how companies do things and everythings going wrong...and then Karren and her logic thinking come along and rescue everything! But then again, she is right and knows what she is talking about, so I guess she has a right to be a big head. She does tend to repeat herself a lot in this book too; she mentions a few things and then a few chapters later I was thinking 'have I already read this bit?' She also tends to use the word 'logic' a million times. She comes across as the only person in the world with common sense as she likes to brag how she just comes long and says 'that's not logic, do it this way...the logic way' and then the other person says 'oh yeah' and then the business becomes a huge success because of Karren's logic thinking. Although, I have to say Karren's logic observations have encouraged me to start thinking a different way when I am at work.

While Karren is doing a great job, I don't envy her lifestyle at all. It all seems to be work, work and more work; yes she is very hard working, but to the extreme - I mean, to me staying in the office until 2am every day and working 20 hours every single say without a day off just seems a bit over the top to me. I felt tired just reading about her working days. I do admire her can-do attitude and 'just get on with it' attitude which I find positive and inspiring. She emphasises is to get far all you need is hard work and determination and if you work hard you will get somewhere.

Another thing which I find really refreshing is that while Karren is a sort of celebrity in her own right, she isn't at all interested in that side of things. She is certainly not fame hungry and is all about the business. I think that it is refreshing to see a business woman who isn't interested in being famous (unlike the likes of Celebrity businesswomen such as Katie Price, who rely on fame to sell their products) - not Karren and so I think that is very refreshing.

For those of you who like The Apprentice then you will like this. I have to say, The Apprentice has never really appealed to me before, but like I say since working in my current job I have become a lot more business minded, and so I think that due to that and after reading this book, I will definitely watch it in the future. I also liked the fact that Karren talks about Lord Sugar as a friend; he seems like a nice guy! I also like the fact that Karren has a sense of humour; she said 'Lord Sugar to you, Alan to me!' which I thought was quite comical.

I have to say I learn a lot from this book. I work in an office for a national company and love the idea of working my way up in the company so I really valued Karren's advice; I have certainly taken on board a lot of the advice she gives out and I'm sure that it will help me as it is pretty good advice. I like the fact that even if you are not business minded or not interested in running a business, you can still use Karren's advice to succeed in life; you can still apply her business advice to your own financial finances, such as when you are working for a company you need to know where every single penny is being sent and how to get in more money than is going out to be a success; so I think that is a good attitude to have towards your personal finances as well as your workplace's finances.

Karren has her fingers in lots of pies; football, television, newspapers, retailers etc, so I found out quite a bit of how these different types of business works which I thought was quite interesting. It was nice to have an honest opinion of view of how these business work.

At the end of the book there is an 'advice' section where Karren gives her top ten tips for being successful. I thought that these would be for those wanting to start up a business, but in fact they are aimed at everyone and include tips that you can even include to your personal life. For example she says that she has women coming up to her saying that they have been out of work for 10 years looking after their children and now they want to go back to work but don't know what they are good at and then Karren tells them that they are organised and know how to budget and know how to manage people. So we all have skills, we just have to work out what they are. I have definitely learnt a lot from this book - it's definitely given me a wake up call - so much that I am really looking forward to going back to the office next Monday and applying Karren's attitude to my work. I like how she doesn't wait for things to happen, she's goes out there and makes them happen which I think is great and definitely the way forward and the way to success. This book has been an amazing help to me.

Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I can see why some people would find it boring. For example, I would never have considered myself to be the ambitious type and so if you had given me this book to read a couple of years ago, I probably would have given up after the first page. However, since working at my current job for the last year, I have become a bit more ambitious than I was and am much more interested in being a success than I used to be, so for me this book was definitely a must read. I think all woman should read this book - I cannot emphasise enough how much it will inspire you!

All in all, I would definitely recommend this book! I found it to be a huge inspiration, and at just £1 I think it was excellent money well spent! Karren is a great role model for women everywhere!

                  Thanks for reading!

                    Best JLS album!

Jukebox is the third abum from British Boyband and X Factor runners up JLS. The album was released in the United Kingdom in 2011. The CD is currently available to buy from Amazon for a price of £1.90 which I think is great value for money.

                    ~ * Track Listing * ~

                    1) She Makes Me Wanna 2) Do You Feel What I Feel? 3) Teach Me How To Dance 4)Take A Chance On Me 5) Go Harder 6) So Many Girls 7) 3D 8) Take You Down 9) Innocence 10) Killed By Love 11) Never Gonna Stop 12) Shy of The Cool

This album sees a musical change of direction for the boys, and it's definitely for the better. This album has a great mixture of catchy tunes. They are the kind of songs which once you hear them once, they stay in your head all day. I can't resist singing along. I love the catchy single 'She Makes Me Wanna' as it such a great summer party song.

Whilst a lot of the songs are upbeat and consist of a lot of auto-tune, there are a couple of ballads on here which allow the boys to have a proper sing-song. An example of where the boys sound amazing is the song 'Shy of The Cool' which really shows off the boys voices.

If you didn't like JLS before, listen to this and I can guarantee that you will change your mind. This is definitely the best album from JLS. It's sure to get you in the party mood, with songs such as 'She Makes Me Wanna'.

                    I would recommend this album.

                    A great album!

I quite like JLS. I will admit that at times I think that they are quite cocky and so I do find this annoying at times, although I have to agree that they are a very talented bunch, and I like how passionate they are about music. When I heard that they had a new album out, and especially after hearing their single 'Love You More', I just had to buy their album.

Outta This World is the second album from 2008 X Factor runners up, boyband 'JLS'. The album was released in the United Kingdom in November 2010 and so is very recent. You can buy a copy of this album from Amazon for a price of £8.99, which I think is good value for money.

1)The Club is Alive 2) Eyes Wide Shut 3)Outta This World 4) That's My Girl 5) Work 6) I Know What She Like 7) Love You More 8) Other Side Of The World 9) Better For You 10) Superhero 11) Love At War 12) Don't Talk About Love 13) That's Where I'm Coming From 14) The Last Song

I love this album! It's full of catchy tunes! There are a lot of different musical genres on here : pop, RnB, ballads. dance and electro pop. There are songs to suit each kind of mood, whether you are at a party, or whether you are chilling out, and also to have playing in the background, while you are doing the household chores. My favourite songs are 'Love You More' , 'I Know What She Like', and now I love 'The Club Is Alive' even more than before. I didn't like the song 'Work', as I thought that it didn't reach it potential, and to me it seemed like nothing more than a 'filler'.

I think that the boys have great voices ,and can really sing! I particularly love Aston's voice, and he can hit all kinds of notes with ease. I think that Marvin's voice is very soft, and suits the ballads, although sometimes his 'velvety' voice does annoy me a little bit. I would prefer if the other two boys (JB and Ortise) would sing a bit more, as from what I have heard, they can sing very well.

The lyrics are certainly thought-provoking, although they seem to be repeating the same message (coping without the one you love) in most of the songs, just arranged in different words. One thing which I didn't like about the lyrics ; to me they sounded far too cheesy and I think that maybe they were playing on the whole 'we're sweet guys' kind of thing , just so that their girl fans will swoon over them even more.

When they band said that their sound had changed with this album, compared to their last album, I was a bit concerned. Although, I do think that this change is definately say that this change is for the better, and therefore this album is a lot better than their last album.

I would definately recommend this to all JLS / boyband lovers!

                    Thanks for reading!
