Thanks you for visiting my profile page. I also take this opportunity to say thanks to all those members who read, rate, comment on and nominate my reviews - It is very much appreciated. I hope the discussion topics have sparked a bit of thought and the product/consumer reviews have been useful in making those all important purchasing decisions.
Must admit I am getting pretty annoyed about the revenge rating - is it any wonder why there's such a high amount of "VUs" when people are so petty and go and mark some exceptional reviews down just because they can't be a***d to put a bit of effort in. The cliques and "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" is also getting pretty boring. My ratings given are 150% of my ratings received yet there are some members on here with stats the other way around (and some) yet these are still getting loads of ratings. How does that work? If I post a review and leave the site for a few days I am lucky if that review gets ratings in double figures.
I recently read a piece on review theft and, since my reviews have been exclusive to Dooyoo for the last few months, it got me thinking. In order to protect my reviews I have now started to cross post them on other sites, mainly Ciao and, dare I say it.... Ciao.com so I can be seen over the 'other side' as well.
